 There are 206 bones in our body which form
part our skeletal system. Too much weight
and force may be taken on by a healthy and
strong bone. A weak bone may easily break
under pressure and strain. Fractures are
often times regarded as broken bones. A
healthcare provider may require you to
undergo an x-ray to check how severely the
bone is broken. Children or elderly people
are more at risk for fractures, as young and
    middle-aged people possess strong bones,
    based on the medical studies.
 Bone fractures may be caused by a number
of factors. One of the common causes that
put you at risk for bone fractures is falls or
trauma. A bone may be broken due to the
strong impact caused by fall or trauma. Hip
and spine fractures are common in older
people and they are advised to e cautious
with their moves. One of the chief causes of
fracture is motor vehicle accident. With this
kind of accident, fracture is more typical on
the head, face, neck, leg, arm, or
    sometimes, the spine.
 Sometimes a bone is severely broken and a
    surgery is required. Compartment syndrome
may result from fracture. It appears you’re
your muscle swell. When your muscles rest
inside a compartment of tissue, this may
result to not having to much room to expand.
The swelling of the muscle may cause the
pressure to rise and does not make the blood
to flow freely into the muscles. This
condition may result to intense pain. In order
to dispense the pressure on your muscle, a
surgery called fasciotomy may be required.
 Another factor which increases your risk for
fractures is health condition. A person with
osteoporosis is characterized by his/her weak
bones. Weak bones have lower density and
are weak, which makes it easy for a person
to suffer from broken bones. The vitamins
and minerals in the bones are altered making
them porous and very unhealthy. The
damage on the bones may be prevented if
proper medical care is given on time.
 Fosamax is a bisphosphonate drug which is
commonly used as treatment for osteoporosis.
    Somehow, osteoporotic individuals have reported
minor and major side-effects associated with this
prescription drug. The Fosamax bone injury
    lawsuit center discusses more significant
    information regarding this matter.
