My Teaching Experience Essay
When I first come to Saint Cloud High School, I was uncertain of how I would fit into the world
of education as a teacher, in fact, this was my first teaching practice. After completing a few
observations, I changed my view and recognized my teaching abilities. I was able to learn many
different things that will be helpful to me when I become a certified teacher someday. Although I
could face many possible challenges in the classroom, I have many of the strengths it takes to be
a good teacher. There were many times during this field training that gave me a broad idea of how
the ordinary life of a teacher would go. Similarly, I got a profound sense of how the classroom
environment is for most instructors. In general, I believe this was a pleasant experience for me, and
I learned a lot in such a brief period.
The educational unit I executed has an element of my instruction beliefs that students should connect
and relate theme content to real life situations inside and outside the teaching space. Therefore,
during my teaching experience, I feel compromise and responsible for meeting my students' needs
and that is why I included many visuals aids and plenty of flexible activities. Hence, this unit
involved a mixture of student and teacher–centered strategies such as direct instruction, drill and
practice of the unit vocabulary, lectures, dialogues, question and answer sessions, discussions with
exchanges of opinions and perspectives, discovery learning events and presentations

Essay about My Work Experience
My Work Experience
I went on work experience for a week in June at Natwest Bank in Bakewell. Natwest is part of a
larger organisation called the Royal Bank of Scotland Group. The Royal Bank of Scotland bought
Natwest in March 2000 for ВЈ21 billion which was the biggest take–over in British banking history.
Natwest is a national company and very well known so I felt quite privileged to work for them.
Also the Bakewell branch was of a very high standard of service from the checks they get every
month as I was shown the data of this when I went to visit them. From working in a banking
environment I learnt a lot about how banking works and what goes on behind closed doors of the
public, which was...show more content...
I worked with many different people, such as the manager, cashier, client interviewer and the
receptionist. The people I worked with were very helpful and kind to me helping me in every way
they could. The manager was especially kind to me and made me feel welcome and part of the bank
as soon as I arrived.
I think a made a helpful contribution to the bank and always did what I was asked to do without
any hesitation and no complaints. I enjoyed doing every task I was set and especially when I was
set to audit the bank's appearance over the week I was there, by filling in the "Topbox Service" in.
It made me feel as if I was helping the bank and that they trusted me to give me this responsibility. I
learnt about how a bank runs and learnt many new skills at me placement and these were:
В· How to use a photocopier
В· How to use a fax machine
В· How to cashier
В· How to use the Natwest computer system
В· What accounts could be given to people
В· How the alarms works
В· How to fill in a stationary and printed order form
В· How to key in Cash exchange forms into the Natwest computer
В· How to fill the ATM up
В· How to count and bag

Essay on Writing Experience
My Writing Experiences My experiences in writing have been minimal. I have only learned the
basics of writing, like putting together sentences, forming paragraphs with sentences, and things
like that. Since I have been taking college English, I can tell my writing has improved a lot. In the
future, I hope to be able to improve tremendously at writing essays, paragraphs, research papers,
documents, and stories so that I have very little to no errors with drafting and final products. I
predict I will be a well rounded writer when I graduate from college. Writing in the past started in
kindergarten. My teacher taught me how to write my name over and over until I could write it with
no errors. All through elementary my teachers taught me...show more content...
I need to learn to quit thinking as much on what I want to write about and how to write about a topic
and just starting jotting stuff down in outline form as it comes to mind. Run–ons and fragments I
need to be able to spot and fix right away or I really need to not have any in my papers at all. My
goals are to write papers and not have to reassure myself that maybe I need to do more research or
have more data or even have to rethink my whole topic over. I would love to have the knowledge
to be a tutor someday and teach other people how to properly write papers, paragraphs, essays,
and maybe even books. To have excellent skills in writing will definitely be a great advantage in
my nursing profession. In nursing, I will have to do lots of charting on my patients. I will have to
do health presentations on various subjects such as exercising, how our society eats, and sex
education if I want to be a course instructor. Researching information on all of those topics I will
have to make sure I do an excellent job on and collect accurate information and statistics so that I
can compare to other sources. Dictating to the doctor means that I will need to write properly so
that he understands what I am saying. Other nurses will have to be able to understand what I am
talking about by my writing skills when doing shift changes. I will have to be very precise so that
other nurses will not

My Life Experience Essay
As I look back on the unforgettable week I had during the Habitat 62 trip, I can honestly say that
the trip changed the way I looked at college and West Virginia University overall. My favorite parts
of the trip were of course helping others who are less fortunate than myself and the adventures, but
mainly the "class" that was held every night. I joined the adventure trip believing I was just going to
help build a house and have fun rock climbing, exploring, and white–water rafting. I slowly realized
that I would learn so much more. Adventure West Virginiataught me life–long lessons that could
help save not only my life one day, but maybe even one of my best friends or a random stranger I
had never met before. I believed, like most high school students and people in general around the
world, that at West Virginia UniversityI was going to find a party in every direction I looked with
many of my own peers drinking alcohol. The perspective view I had before the trip and after were
completely opposite. I found out on the trip that I can find parties if I feel the need to, but overall
there are plenty of activities to do besides partying and drinking. I originally thought that I was
going to struggle heavily to write the amount advised for the journal entries at the end of every day.
On my way home from adventure, I had one of those moments were out of nowhere there is an
overwhelming sensation or feeling that you forgot something. I had forgot my journal in the

My Experience In My Life
My life, or perhaps in the manner that I perceive it, has been overwhelmingly filled with enlightening
and repressive circumstances that could have been averted, but all in all, makes up one's destiny.
These events intricately tailored me into a young man that grew conscientious of the detrimental
behavior of "acting before thinking" and into the realm of "thinking before acting". What I would
soon come to understand was that through sheer patience, and trial–and–error it instilled within me
new insights to learn from and that the most triumphant moments in my life began at the crossroads
of unknowingness, a decision to stay in mediocrity, or the pursuit towards personal greatness– thus
the decision had to be met.
In the fall season of 2006, I was a student at Saint John Vianney, a relatively small parochial school.
During that time period, I was an immensely nervous 6th grader that was forced to immerse himself
into a Roman Catholic private school that had me sharply at odds with what I had experienced from
schooling in the Folsom Cordova Unified public–school district (Kindergarten to 5th grade). It's
important to know that I was sent here by my parents as a way of disciplining me due to, in their
opinion, abhorrent behavior that medically could have stemmed from ADD, but perhaps I was just
restless and explorative.
The very first moment I shared with another soul was by the connective link of vision with a female
student, by the name of Scarlett. This young girl (of

Essay about Cultural Experience

Cultural Diversity Assignment I didn't know where I should go to visit for my culture experience

and restaurants are a great way to experience a different culture. The problem was what kind of food
I should try and won't be too disappointed? So I called my brother who has numerous experiences
in food. He told me that I should try a Greek food and there is a Greek restaurant in uptown called

some onion and pepper in between them. Couple this with vegetables and home–style potatoes. I
took a first bite of potatoes and it tasted so sour. I didn't like much but I didn't get bother by it. As
soon as I took the first bite of my steak nuggets, all the sour potatoes thoughts were disappeared
and I felt so happy chewing on the steak. It was so tender and delicious. My boyfriend's dish also
looked amazing, he really loved it. I didn't try because I don't like the taste of lamb. Soon after we
both cleaned out the plate and left no room for desserts. We had to promise each other that we
would come back again next time. After that, I called my brother and thank him for the
wonderful suggestion. He told me little bit about Greek culture on food. He said his Greek friend
told him that food is very important in Greek, Greek people take food very seriously. Family

don't know much about Greek culture, but I guess I am interested in it now because this experience.

For me, learning a language is a complicated process. It is different from learning other subjects. It
involves a lot of practices and follow up. When I talk about my personal experience, I would say
that I have a rich experience in learning English as a second language. English was taught to me for
ten years starting from grade seven till graduation from university. After graduation, I felt that I
should improve my language skills. Therefore, I did a lot of efforts personally to increase my
fluency. Until now I still learn the language. Indeed, learning a language takes a lifetime.
I started learning English as a second language when I was in first intermediate. I still remember my
first classes and my first teachers. I remember that my teachers changed frequently in the first year
but all of them have much in common. All of them used grammar translation method. They used to
write bilingual lists of words on board, then we, as students, were asked to copy these lists and
memorize them by heart. All teaching concentrated on reading and writing skills, but there were no
activities concentrating on speaking or listening. In addition, grammar rules were taught in that stage
of learning the language as mathematics equations, and we were asked to memorize the rules as we

Of course, there are certain defects or gaps in my knowledge or ability to use the English language
like using idioms and the appropriateness of some vocabulary. Idioms have many connotations and
denotations in the English language. Sometimes I use an idiom and I mean something, but the
connotations of the idiom means something else. Another gap of my knowledge of the language is
the appropriateness of using certain vocabulary. English language entails high sense of using the
appropriate word for describing or narrating something. To my mind, I have not reached this point

My Reflection On My Experience In My Class
My favorite subject throughout my years of school has always been English; I found it to be
where I put most of my effort and creativity in my writing. I didn't want to overthink the writing
skills I had already because I was told college writing was a "different ball game", so I entered the
beginning of my English101 course expecting the unexpected. I made sure to keep the goals I
wanted to achieve this semester always in mind; learn new writing techniques, strengthen my
sentence mechanic/grammar skills, become a flexible writer, and to enhance my critical thinking
skills. Throughout this semester I witness my growth as a student and my eager and dedication to
improving my skills in this course.
I tested out different approaches that benefited me the most when it came to my writing. In the
beginning, I avoided creating an outline for my essay because I viewed it as being extra work; but
as my professor taught me the correct way of drafting an outline and the details to include, I
found myself relying on the outline while composing my essay. I was able to keep track of
important details to include and create a fluent transition all throughout my essay. One habit that I
always kept when generating my ideas was to write down any thought I had randomly containing
to my essay; doing this kept all my ideas fresh in my mind. After completing my first two essays I
realized what my writing weaknesses were I knew I needed assistance. I took advantage of my
college Writing Center and got help for my final essays, taking this approach improved the quality
of my essays and taught me new ways to avoid my common writing mistakes.
Looking back at final essay grades and my professor comments, my writing skills have advanced
throughout this semester. My biggest strength was my ability to use supporting details to verify my
thesis and integrating the information fluently, "your overall coherence – transitions, emphasis, and
introduction of the outside sources is great" my professor comment on Essay 3. Conducting a
conclusion is also a strength I've advanced in my writing, summarizing the main idea of my essay
and using appeals to create a strong finish. I noticed that my weakness is my sentence mechanics and
grammar; in the

Memorable Moments
First, my memorable and valuable experience in college has allowed me the chance to be able to
sharpen my study skills in my chosen field. There have been opportunities for me to learn and
improve my skills through my time in college, which I am very thankful and happy about. For
example, at my school, in the Writing Center, I have learned some writing tips that I didn't even
know existed, and had this not been a part of my experience I would still be unaware. Because of
this, despite what I was thinking, I still had quite a bit to learn; but this has given me the chance
to improve my craft more through attending school, as well as give me a lot more confidence in
the area that I plan to study towards. And as a result, some day I will have a rewarding career from

the religions are followed. Also, learning about all the different practices and ideas of the religions
in different parts of the world, such as worshipping multiple deities, reincarnation, and meditation,
has been memorable to me because of its value, and all the misconceptions that are cleared up now
that I once had, which has enabled me to understand the topic better and be less ignorant. It has also
helped me understand traditions and beliefs of others more clear, no matter where in the world of
their origin. This has made my time as a student a lot more memorable, worthwhile, and

Throughout life I have had many memorable events. The memorable times in my life vary from
being the worst times in my life and some being the best, either way they have become milestones
that will be remembered forever. The best day of my life was definitely the day that I received my
drivers' license. This day is one of the most memorable because of the feelings I had when I
received it, the opportunities that were opened up for me and the long lasting benefits that I received
from it that still exist today. Getting my drivers' license was an intense feeling that I will never

Driving fast in a car may be unsafe but the thrill and excitement of high rates of speed gave me a
rush I had never felt before. Seeing, feeling and hearing everything go by faster made the whole
driving experience so much better. My mouth watered with envy as I approached the drivers' seat
every time I went out for a drive. The automobile, as a whole, became a high interest of mine; the
styling, the sound and the speed of it. I loved driving and I loved cars and all of this new found
love was from the birth of my drivers' license. Such a simple piece of paper opened up such a
broad area of learning for me; it was of much amazement to me. Receiving my drivers' license was
the best day of my life. It will be remembered forever because of the feelings, experience and new
beginnings that it gave me. Today, I still hold my interest in the automobile but the thrill of
driving has dulled significantly since I receive many traffic tickets and went through a period of
license suspension. But, still, that day remains the best day of my life. The day I received my

Sometimes, writing can be harder than one expects – C'est la vie! Coming into Rockhurst as a
graduate of AcadГ©mie Lafayette isn't the easiest thing for a student, especially in English class.
AcadГ©mie Lafayette (AL) is a French immersion school where classes are taught entirely in
French, except for English class (of course). So, after graduating from AL, I had little experience
with English and, as a result, I knew it would be one of my weaknesses. As I walked into school
for my first day at Rockhurst, I was nervous about what to expect from English class. As my
classmates gradually arrived into homeroom, tension was building inside of me. Then, before the
bell rang for the start of the day, a short, stout man walked in: Mr. Gustafson, my English I teacher.

material? I could write about...no. I kept thinking for hours, staring at a blank white page.I started,
stopped, reconsidered, deleted everything I'd written, and started again. Finally, I went to my mom
for help. She asked me many helpful questions and helped me brainstorm on topics to write about.
After hours of frustration and extensive thought, my first high school essay was complete...the
rough draft, that is. Michka 3 I came into school the next day hoping that my teacher would be
pleased with what I had produced. My classmates and I "peer–reviewed" each others essays and I

I love learning in school. But sadly, I ended up having a rough time at the end of my senior year. I
moved to Oklahoma from Illinois before I finished the last year of high school, and after I move it
was hard to get adjusted to a new school. I hope you enjoy my essay!
Let's start off with the pleasant experience I had in my past education, health careers. I was really
good in this class. Health careers was a class that taught me about diseases, CPR, and much more.
We had many projects and activities. One of the projects I remember I did and felt so proud of. It
was the kidney I sculpted. My teacher gave me an A+ for putting a lot of effort into it. My
teacher loved it to the part she asked me if she can keep it as a reference for future students. It
made me really happy and of course, I said yes, what an honor for me that she is going to use my
work as a good example for future students.
My unpleasant experience was a history class. I'm not really a history person, but I worked so
hard to pass the class. I had a lot of problems going in front of my class and presenting the projects
the teachers assigned to us during class. I am really a shy person, and when I am in front of many
people I get really stressed out and I start to mess up on words and talk differently. But thanks to
my husband he was able to help me raise my confidence and break this habit, now I can to hold a
conversation with people without stressing out. I ended up passing the class with a C, I worked so

The Importance Of Experience Learning
Is school the only place where one can experience learning? While knowledge can be gained in
school, often we also gain knowledge through our experiences. Which help us improve our skills
and open our eyes to new ideas and perspectives. Notably, real life experiences are just as valuable
as education. Personally, I have been able to experience this first hand by; being able to learn a new
culture at young age, household responsibilities , and participate in sports.
First of, moving to a foreign country might sound like a big adventure or a great start. One of the
things that may happen when going to a new place (even on vacation) is finding yourself
comparing everything to how it is back home. Comparing food, quality of life, weather, people's
habits, beliefs, and everything between. Subsequently, moving to a foreign country may not be as
easy for some people, and it could be as normal for others. For me it wasn't easy, at the age of 5 I
was moving from El Salvador to the United states. With my dad being a diplomat we have to move
a lot. The U.S. has a completely different culture, language, climate, overall a completely diverse
lifestyle and environment. I felt like a complete stranger. In particular, language barrier was one of
the hardest part in this case. Having to watch my mom struggle to communicate with people when
she needed help or anything, was hard because not everyone was nice enough to try and understand
her. My mom, my siblings, and I were at the mall when my

There are places that are probably the opposite of your life. Like me and my cousins house. The
craziness of my house can make break my will, which I try to keep intact. So traveling to my
cousins house is a big get away for me. Going there is like me going to my second home(or third,
since I have some weird relationship with some other place). And also I enjoy traveling, so its a
great experience. It's a relief that we are there after 5 hours and 55 minutes after watching my sister

I was jumpy, my body was hyper and was waiting to get out, being the 8 year old I was at the time.
When we arrived, I ran to the entrance, and took a look at that big globe that was there, and I was
awestruck. I was excited and enjoyed my time there. When we were done, the sun was setting,
and I was tired. We almost weren't able to go to the park because I got sick. We came there for
another summer, and we went to Yosemite. There were mountains and trees all around. We
stopped at a river and I was took some pictures of other relatives that came. We didn't see any
animals there except for a deer, though. When I came home, whenever I tried to call upon any good
memory when things were rough, they elude my imaginary hands. I longed to go any where for a

Relatives live not far from my cousins house, and ones that don't come while we were there, and I

As time went on I kept on reading third grader books and I would never forget the book that
changed my views on writing. ''Charlotte's Web' was the book that heightened my interests overall.
The book opened my eyes to a different way of writing and imagery. It was the first time I actually
read the book without putting it down and end up rereading it again because it was that good at
the time. It also was a book that I found on my own so when I presented the book to Mrs. Jones
she was pleasantly surprised at my choice in books and my level of understanding for a first
grader. She told me that reading a book would make me smarter and writing will make me clever.
Now that I am an adult I definitely see how that comes into play in my own life. I'm actively into
the arts so reading and writing has played a major part in my life. I'm constantly creating and
writing songs and turning simple words that mean nothing into poetry that can mean everything
to someone. Being able to read and write is very beneficial to everyday life because we use it to

of us were taught to read and write at an early age; but in some countries they don't get the same

An Experience that changed my Life
Life is full of learning and it is mostly due to our daily life experiences. These experiences are
mostly based on our surrounding environment from where we learn new things every day. But all
these experiences are a result of our keen observations out of daily routines. It is very important to
note that life also provides us with some chances to experience new people or places that are indeed
out of the ordinary. That is thetime we indeed learn new and unique things, hence these are unique
experiences of our life which are remembered by us throughout our life span. I have visited USA
and this was indeed a life time experience. Going through new and strikingly important things really
made me filled up with pleasure. It was indeed very joyful and marvelous experience. I am very
happy and expecting many more things and unique experience coming my way and making me
enjoy new and exciting things.
USA is a place which is full of new experiences that is what makes it even more exciting due to all
kinds of diversity in food in recreation and work; hence everything here is much more diverse

My Best Experience With Exercise In My Life
Your body is sore from physical exercises and you feel like giving up. Then you realize that
having exercise in your life will help reach your personal goals. Exercise can be a pain, but it is
the good type of pain that motivates us to reach our goals. Currently, exercise has helped me to

My best experience with exercise was when I learned how to ride a two–wheel bicycle. I was 11

being able to take some photos. We spent a couple of hours on the top, and decided to turn back,
when the wind suddenly dispersed the clouds, and the plateau we were standing on became
illuminated with the sun. I saw a fantastic skies and clouds in front of me, and for some moments
I couldn't believe my eyes. Seeing all those mountain ridges, cliffs, and edges on my own eyes,
not on TELEVESION, INTERNET was like a revelation for me. The strong wind blew right into
my face, and I just stood there and watched shreds of fog gliding over the ground far beneath me.
At that moments, that I can realized that I won't be able to lives a life without visiting and seeing
the beautiful mountains at least One a year or twice a year and I told Joana, to stay for few hours
and watched the sunset before waiting the sunset When I saw Joana how excited and I suggested

Gaining Knowledge from Experience Essay
Each day throughout life people learn more about themselves and about the world around them. It is
everyone's goal to acquire as much knowledge as they can because it generally leads to satisfaction
in their life. Experience allows to better understand oneself and the surrounding world. Faust and
Michel Montaigne highlight the importance of learning from experiences and what occurs without
this learning. Because of their work, learning through experiences is known to be very effective and
therefore is incorporated into many teaching techniques. Gaining knowledge from experiences helps
to unlock parts of the world. In his book "Faust", Faust focuses on how experiences, or lack of
experiences, shape the surrounding world. Faust studies and...show more content...
Michel Montaigne writes in his essays "I am scribbling here a record of my life's experiences,
which is sufficient for purposes of inward health" (Montaigne 361). He is saying that experiences
are the root of being internally satisfied. Montaigne focuses on the art of law which deals with the
mind and soul, along with the art of medicine which deals with experiences of the body. He
suggests that these are equally importance to a person to become complete. A person needs to
find the appropriate balance between these things, in order to achieve happiness and
contentment. Experiences shape every element of an individual, especially how they form their
thinking process. In regards to faith, experiences dictate what to believe in. Going to church,
partaking in mission trip, or a death of a love one are all experiences that bring a person closer or
further away from their faith. By tracing back to the origins of where one gets their faith, it shows
that it is rooted and influenced by experiences. Circumstances can incorporate faith into one's life,
but can also bring about doubt. Undergoing similar situations can bring up doubts and hesitation to
rethink beliefs and faith. However, reason is used to come to a consensus to these doubts.
Experiences play a key role in providing evidence and proof to justify facts and feelings. If a person
has experienced something, that serves as their logic behind their beliefs and actions. Faith, doubt,
and reason, all serve as tools to

Experience Essay

  • 1. My Teaching Experience Essay When I first come to Saint Cloud High School, I was uncertain of how I would fit into the world of education as a teacher, in fact, this was my first teaching practice. After completing a few observations, I changed my view and recognized my teaching abilities. I was able to learn many different things that will be helpful to me when I become a certified teacher someday. Although I could face many possible challenges in the classroom, I have many of the strengths it takes to be a good teacher. There were many times during this field training that gave me a broad idea of how the ordinary life of a teacher would go. Similarly, I got a profound sense of how the classroom environment is for most instructors. In general, I believe this was a pleasant experience for me, and I learned a lot in such a brief period. The educational unit I executed has an element of my instruction beliefs that students should connect and relate theme content to real life situations inside and outside the teaching space. Therefore, during my teaching experience, I feel compromise and responsible for meeting my students' needs and that is why I included many visuals aids and plenty of flexible activities. Hence, this unit involved a mixture of student and teacher–centered strategies such as direct instruction, drill and practice of the unit vocabulary, lectures, dialogues, question and answer sessions, discussions with exchanges of opinions and perspectives, discovery learning events and presentations Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Essay about My Work Experience My Work Experience I went on work experience for a week in June at Natwest Bank in Bakewell. Natwest is part of a larger organisation called the Royal Bank of Scotland Group. The Royal Bank of Scotland bought Natwest in March 2000 for ВЈ21 billion which was the biggest take–over in British banking history. Natwest is a national company and very well known so I felt quite privileged to work for them. Also the Bakewell branch was of a very high standard of service from the checks they get every month as I was shown the data of this when I went to visit them. From working in a banking environment I learnt a lot about how banking works and what goes on behind closed doors of the public, which was...show more content... I worked with many different people, such as the manager, cashier, client interviewer and the receptionist. The people I worked with were very helpful and kind to me helping me in every way they could. The manager was especially kind to me and made me feel welcome and part of the bank as soon as I arrived. I think a made a helpful contribution to the bank and always did what I was asked to do without any hesitation and no complaints. I enjoyed doing every task I was set and especially when I was set to audit the bank's appearance over the week I was there, by filling in the "Topbox Service" in. It made me feel as if I was helping the bank and that they trusted me to give me this responsibility. I learnt about how a bank runs and learnt many new skills at me placement and these were: В· How to use a photocopier В· How to use a fax machine В· How to cashier В· How to use the Natwest computer system В· What accounts could be given to people В· How the alarms works В· How to fill in a stationary and printed order form В· How to key in Cash exchange forms into the Natwest computer В· How to fill the ATM up В· How to count and bag

  • 4. Essay on Writing Experience My Writing Experiences My experiences in writing have been minimal. I have only learned the basics of writing, like putting together sentences, forming paragraphs with sentences, and things like that. Since I have been taking college English, I can tell my writing has improved a lot. In the future, I hope to be able to improve tremendously at writing essays, paragraphs, research papers, documents, and stories so that I have very little to no errors with drafting and final products. I predict I will be a well rounded writer when I graduate from college. Writing in the past started in kindergarten. My teacher taught me how to write my name over and over until I could write it with no errors. All through elementary my teachers taught me...show more content... I need to learn to quit thinking as much on what I want to write about and how to write about a topic and just starting jotting stuff down in outline form as it comes to mind. Run–ons and fragments I need to be able to spot and fix right away or I really need to not have any in my papers at all. My goals are to write papers and not have to reassure myself that maybe I need to do more research or have more data or even have to rethink my whole topic over. I would love to have the knowledge to be a tutor someday and teach other people how to properly write papers, paragraphs, essays, and maybe even books. To have excellent skills in writing will definitely be a great advantage in my nursing profession. In nursing, I will have to do lots of charting on my patients. I will have to do health presentations on various subjects such as exercising, how our society eats, and sex education if I want to be a course instructor. Researching information on all of those topics I will have to make sure I do an excellent job on and collect accurate information and statistics so that I can compare to other sources. Dictating to the doctor means that I will need to write properly so that he understands what I am saying. Other nurses will have to be able to understand what I am talking about by my writing skills when doing shift changes. I will have to be very precise so that other nurses will not Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. My Life Experience Essay As I look back on the unforgettable week I had during the Habitat 62 trip, I can honestly say that the trip changed the way I looked at college and West Virginia University overall. My favorite parts of the trip were of course helping others who are less fortunate than myself and the adventures, but mainly the "class" that was held every night. I joined the adventure trip believing I was just going to help build a house and have fun rock climbing, exploring, and white–water rafting. I slowly realized that I would learn so much more. Adventure West Virginiataught me life–long lessons that could help save not only my life one day, but maybe even one of my best friends or a random stranger I had never met before. I believed, like most high school students and people in general around the world, that at West Virginia UniversityI was going to find a party in every direction I looked with many of my own peers drinking alcohol. The perspective view I had before the trip and after were completely opposite. I found out on the trip that I can find parties if I feel the need to, but overall there are plenty of activities to do besides partying and drinking. I originally thought that I was going to struggle heavily to write the amount advised for the journal entries at the end of every day. On my way home from adventure, I had one of those moments were out of nowhere there is an overwhelming sensation or feeling that you forgot something. • 6. My Experience In My Life My life, or perhaps in the manner that I perceive it, has been overwhelmingly filled with enlightening and repressive circumstances that could have been averted, but all in all, makes up one's destiny. These events intricately tailored me into a young man that grew conscientious of the detrimental behavior of "acting before thinking" and into the realm of "thinking before acting". What I would soon come to understand was that through sheer patience, and trial–and–error it instilled within me new insights to learn from and that the most triumphant moments in my life began at the crossroads of unknowingness, a decision to stay in mediocrity, or the pursuit towards personal greatness– thus the decision had to be met. In the fall season of 2006, I was a student at Saint John Vianney, a relatively small parochial school. During that time period, I was an immensely nervous 6th grader that was forced to immerse himself into a Roman Catholic private school that had me sharply at odds with what I had experienced from schooling in the Folsom Cordova Unified public–school district (Kindergarten to 5th grade). It's important to know that I was sent here by my parents as a way of disciplining me due to, in their opinion, abhorrent behavior that medically could have stemmed from ADD, but perhaps I was just restless and explorative. The very first moment I shared with another soul was by the connective link of vision with a female student, by the name of Scarlett. This young girl (of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Essay about Cultural Experience English 1130 Fall 2012 Cultural Diversity Assignment I didn't know where I should go to visit for my culture experience paper. I am neither into a play or temple, but I absolutely love food, all kinds of food. I think meals and restaurants are a great way to experience a different culture. The problem was what kind of food I should try and won't be too disappointed? So I called my brother who has numerous experiences in food. He told me that I should try a Greek food and there is a Greek restaurant in uptown called It's Greek to me, it is a nice place to go and offers delicious authentic Greek food. I was attempting and exciting. Therefore, I decided to try Greek food for my culture experience. Next following day, my boyfriend...show more content... As soon as I took the first bite of my steak nuggets, all the sour potatoes thoughts were disappeared and I felt so happy chewing on the steak. It was so tender and delicious. My boyfriend's dish also looked amazing, he really loved it. I didn't try because I don't like the taste of lamb. Soon after we both cleaned out the plate and left no room for desserts. We had to promise each other that we would come back again next time. After that, I called my brother and thank him for the wonderful suggestion. He told me little bit about Greek culture on food. He said his Greek friend told him that food is very important in Greek, Greek people take food very seriously. • 8. For me, learning a language is a complicated process. It is different from learning other subjects. It involves a lot of practices and follow up. When I talk about my personal experience, I would say that I have a rich experience in learning English as a second language. English was taught to me for ten years starting from grade seven till graduation from university. After graduation, I felt that I should improve my language skills. Therefore, I did a lot of efforts personally to increase my fluency. Until now I still learn the language. Indeed, learning a language takes a lifetime. I started learning English as a second language when I was in first intermediate. I still remember my first classes and my first teachers. I remember that my teachers changed frequently in the first year but all of them have much in common. All of them used grammar translation method. They used to write bilingual lists of words on board, then we, as students, were asked to copy these lists and memorize them by heart. All teaching concentrated on reading and writing skills, but there were no activities concentrating on speaking or listening. In addition, grammar rules were taught in that stage of learning the language as mathematics equations, and we were asked to memorize the rules as we ...show more content... • 9. My Reflection On My Experience In My Class My favorite subject throughout my years of school has always been English; I found it to be where I put most of my effort and creativity in my writing. I didn't want to overthink the writing skills I had already because I was told college writing was a "different ball game", so I entered the beginning of my English101 course expecting the unexpected. I made sure to keep the goals I wanted to achieve this semester always in mind; learn new writing techniques, strengthen my sentence mechanic/grammar skills, become a flexible writer, and to enhance my critical thinking skills. Throughout this semester I witness my growth as a student and my eager and dedication to improving my skills in this course. I tested out different approaches that benefited me the most when it came to my writing. In the beginning, I avoided creating an outline for my essay because I viewed it as being extra work; but as my professor taught me the correct way of drafting an outline and the details to include, I found myself relying on the outline while composing my essay. I was able to keep track of important details to include and create a fluent transition all throughout my essay. One habit that I always kept when generating my ideas was to write down any thought I had randomly containing to my essay; doing this kept all my ideas fresh in my mind. After completing my first two essays I realized what my writing weaknesses were I knew I needed assistance. I took advantage of my college Writing Center and got help for my final essays, taking this approach improved the quality of my essays and taught me new ways to avoid my common writing mistakes. Looking back at final essay grades and my professor comments, my writing skills have advanced throughout this semester. My biggest strength was my ability to use supporting details to verify my thesis and integrating the information fluently, "your overall coherence – transitions, emphasis, and introduction of the outside sources is great" my professor comment on Essay 3. Conducting a conclusion is also a strength I've advanced in my writing, summarizing the main idea of my essay and using appeals to create a strong finish. Examples Of A Memorable Experience Essay Memorable Moments First, my memorable and valuable experience in college has allowed me the chance to be able to sharpen my study skills in my chosen field. There have been opportunities for me to learn and improve my skills through my time in college, which I am very thankful and happy about. For example, at my school, in the Writing Center, I have learned some writing tips that I didn't even know existed, and had this not been a part of my experience I would still be unaware. Because of this, despite what I was thinking, I still had quite a bit to learn; but this has given me the chance to improve my craft more through attending school, as well as give me a lot more confidence in the area that I plan to study towards. Also, learning about all the different practices and ideas of the religions in different parts of the world, such as worshipping multiple deities, reincarnation, and meditation, has been memorable to me because of its value, and all the misconceptions that are cleared up now that I once had, which has enabled me to understand the topic better and be less ignorant. The memorable times in my life vary from being the worst times in my life and some being the best, either way they have become milestones that will be remembered forever. The best day of my life was definitely the day that I received my drivers' license. This day is one of the most memorable because of the feelings I had when I received it, the opportunities that were opened up for me and the long lasting benefits that I received from it that still exist today. Driving fast in a car may be unsafe but the thrill and excitement of high rates of speed gave me a rush I had never felt before. Seeing, feeling and hearing everything go by faster made the whole driving experience so much better. My mouth watered with envy as I approached the drivers' seat every time I went out for a drive. The automobile, as a whole, became a high interest of mine; the styling, the sound and the speed of it. I loved driving and I loved cars and all of this new found love was from the birth of my drivers' license. Such a simple piece of paper opened up such a broad area of learning for me; it was of much amazement to me. Receiving my drivers' license was the best day of my life. It will be remembered forever because of the feelings, experience and new beginnings that it gave me. Today, I still hold my interest in the automobile but the thrill of driving has dulled significantly since I receive many traffic tickets and went through a period of license suspension. But, still, that day remains the best day of my life. The day I received my drivers' license will never be forgotten for as long as I Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Coming into Rockhurst as a graduate of AcadГ©mie Lafayette isn't the easiest thing for a student, especially in English class. AcadГ©mie Lafayette (AL) is a French immersion school where classes are taught entirely in French, except for English class (of course). So, after graduating from AL, I had little experience with English and, as a result, I knew it would be one of my weaknesses. As I walked into school for my first day at Rockhurst, I was nervous about what to expect from English class. As my classmates gradually arrived into homeroom, tension was building inside of me. I kept thinking for hours, staring at a blank white page.I started, stopped, reconsidered, deleted everything I'd written, and started again. Finally, I went to my mom for help. She asked me many helpful questions and helped me brainstorm on topics to write about. After hours of frustration and extensive thought, my first high school essay was complete...the rough draft, that is. Michka 3 I came into school the next day hoping that my teacher would be pleased with what I had produced. My classmates and I "peer–reviewed" each others essays and I received some helpful feedback. Then Mr. Gustafson informed us that the final draft of our essays would be due the next day. We were told to look over what our classmates had written and put the finishing touches on our Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. My Memorable Experience I love learning in school. But sadly, I ended up having a rough time at the end of my senior year. I moved to Oklahoma from Illinois before I finished the last year of high school, and after I move it was hard to get adjusted to a new school. I hope you enjoy my essay! Let's start off with the pleasant experience I had in my past education, health careers. I was really good in this class. Health careers was a class that taught me about diseases, CPR, and much more. We had many projects and activities. One of the projects I remember I did and felt so proud of. It was the kidney I sculpted. My teacher gave me an A+ for putting a lot of effort into it. My teacher loved it to the part she asked me if she can keep it as a reference for future students. It made me really happy and of course, I said yes, what an honor for me that she is going to use my work as a good example for future students. My unpleasant experience was a history class. I'm not really a history person, but I worked so hard to pass the class. I had a lot of problems going in front of my class and presenting the projects the teachers assigned to us during class. I am really a shy person, and when I am in front of many people I get really stressed out and I start to mess up on words and talk differently. But thanks to my husband he was able to help me raise my confidence and break this habit, now I can to hold a conversation with people without stressing out. I ended up passing the class with a C, I worked so Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. The Importance Of Experience Learning Is school the only place where one can experience learning? While knowledge can be gained in school, often we also gain knowledge through our experiences. Which help us improve our skills and open our eyes to new ideas and perspectives. Notably, real life experiences are just as valuable as education. Personally, I have been able to experience this first hand by; being able to learn a new culture at young age, household responsibilities , and participate in sports. First of, moving to a foreign country might sound like a big adventure or a great start. One of the things that may happen when going to a new place (even on vacation) is finding yourself comparing everything to how it is back home. Comparing food, quality of life, weather, people's habits, beliefs, and everything between. Subsequently, moving to a foreign country may not be as easy for some people, and it could be as normal for others. For me it wasn't easy, at the age of 5 I was moving from El Salvador to the United states. With my dad being a diplomat we have to move a lot. The U.S. has a completely different culture, language, climate, overall a completely diverse lifestyle and environment. I felt like a complete stranger. In particular, language barrier was one of the hardest part in this case. Having to watch my mom struggle to communicate with people when she needed help or anything, was hard because not everyone was nice enough to try and understand her. My mom, my siblings, and I were at the mall when my Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. A Great Experience Essay Opening 2 There are places that are probably the opposite of your life. Like me and my cousins house. The craziness of my house can make break my will, which I try to keep intact. So traveling to my cousins house is a big get away for me. Going there is like me going to my second home(or third, since I have some weird relationship with some other place). And also I enjoy traveling, so its a great experience. It's a relief that we are there after 5 hours and 55 minutes after watching my sister throw up. (She doesn't do that anymore, thanks to medications). In the evening, when dusk casts a small glow, we bought lightsabers outside and began a small battle. My sister serves as a referee so we don't kill each other. With them, because...show more content... I was jumpy, my body was hyper and was waiting to get out, being the 8 year old I was at the time. When we arrived, I ran to the entrance, and took a look at that big globe that was there, and I was awestruck. I was excited and enjoyed my time there. When we were done, the sun was setting, and I was tired. We almost weren't able to go to the park because I got sick. We came there for another summer, and we went to Yosemite. There were mountains and trees all around. We stopped at a river and I was took some pictures of other relatives that came. We didn't see any animals there except for a deer, though. When I came home, whenever I tried to call upon any good memory when things were rough, they elude my imaginary hands. I longed to go any where for a while after that to get new ones. Relatives live not far from my cousins house, and ones that don't come while we were there, and I get to see them. My mom has family over there, and we see them when we come. Their house got crowded when there were at least 2 or three families (mine included) staying over there. Also we had besides them other relatives that lived nearby coming over, so it be crowded. We enjoy our time because its be difficult to remember anything bad when others are around. Other people besides us being there makes it more fun and relaxing for me. At home, whenever I hear any relative talk, I ask if they are coming here to visit. They rarely are coming, and I feel a Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. What Is My Best Experience Essay I remember like it was yesterday entering my first official year of school. I had so many expectations now that I think about how I envisioned school would be. I always knew I was a fast learner and I was very confident in everything I did. I already knew from a young age what my strong points were and also what my weaknesses were. English was so much fun for me I enjoyed writing, reading and learning new words. Besides math being my kryptonite I wasn't a very neat or clear writer. I always knew what I wanted to say but could never quite translate it through a pencil and paper. My teacher Mrs. Jones made my first experience the best one I ever had. She made my academic life so much easier to maneuver through. Mrs. Jones was such an amazing...show more content... As time went on I kept on reading third grader books and I would never forget the book that changed my views on writing. ''Charlotte's Web' was the book that heightened my interests overall. The book opened my eyes to a different way of writing and imagery. It was the first time I actually read the book without putting it down and end up rereading it again because it was that good at the time. It also was a book that I found on my own so when I presented the book to Mrs. Jones she was pleasantly surprised at my choice in books and my level of understanding for a first grader. She told me that reading a book would make me smarter and writing will make me clever. Now that I am an adult I definitely see how that comes into play in my own life. I'm actively into the arts so reading and writing has played a major part in my life. I'm constantly creating and writing songs and turning simple words that mean nothing into poetry that can mean everything to someone. Being able to read and write is very beneficial to everyday life because we use it to communicate, work, travel and etc. Some people may not know the importance of it because most of us were taught to read and write at an early age; but in some countries they don't get the same opportunity to participate or be able to communicate like everyone else. I can only imagine the daily struggles with being illiterate. I know for sure it causes low self esteem because your immediately Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. My Experience In College Essay I hope to contribute my diverse experience in working with different age groups from preschool through first–year college students. In addition, I would like to share my perspective from being a first–generation Mexican–American. As a product from Los Angeles Unified School District and attending an urban high school, James A. Garfield High School, in East Los Angeles, I want to share my personal experience attending an under–resourced and overpopulated public high school. Also, I will be able to provide my personal experience in my community as well as share my cultural and family expectations as a Latina woman. I hope to share my knowledge and understanding of different school districts and communities I have worked with aside from my own. At an early age, I had to devote my time out of school by working. My weekends and after–school time were either selling ice cream in a truck with my father or cutting fruit in cart with my mother. Working became a huge barrier towards my education because I did not know how to prioritize my education while thinking if I did not go to work with my parents we would not have enough money for groceries or rent. I then realized, I did not have opportunities like the other kids such as joining sports at the park, after–school programs, or studying specific subjects I needed extra help. Unfortunately, the occupation that my parents currently hold is difficult because when the weather is not favorable towards the products they sell there is Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 19. My Best Experience With Exercise In My Life Your body is sore from physical exercises and you feel like giving up. Then you realize that having exercise in your life will help reach your personal goals. Exercise can be a pain, but it is the good type of pain that motivates us to reach our goals. Currently, exercise has helped me to study better for tests and to enjoy a fun sport with family. If I continue to have exercise in my life, I will have a healthy future. My best experience with exercise was when I learned how to ride a two–wheel bicycle. I was 11 years old at the time and my father bought a new bicycle for me. We went to a park and my father was giving me a little push to move forward. I almost fell and my nerves were kicking in. However, I saw my father ride his bicycle with...show more content... I had to do pushups, sit ups, and so much more. When I went to the gym, I was given a personal workout to complete. I will make my own exercise plan to implement in my studying hours at college. This gym class helped me to push my hardest, even if I felt a lot of pain. I was able to overcome difficult workouts, like performing, squats, mountain climbers, and especially burpees. Time management is a weakness that I still need to work on. I will be able to manage my time with studies and physical activities in college. At the beginning of the year, my goals were to lose pounds, and improve on exercises that I did not like, such as running and pushups. I improved on my running by running up a hill multiple times. I had more oxygen pumping throughout my body that enable me to run a farther distance.I lost some pounds and my family is seeing the change. However, I still have to work on having a better diet. I tend to eat large portions that are not healthy for me, like two plates of white rice. I will continue to lead a healthier lifestyle and hopefully my siblings do the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

It is everyone's goal to acquire as much knowledge as they can because it generally leads to satisfaction in their life. Experience allows to better understand oneself and the surrounding world. Faust and Michel Montaigne highlight the importance of learning from experiences and what occurs without this learning. Because of their work, learning through experiences is known to be very effective and therefore is incorporated into many teaching techniques. Michel Montaigne writes in his essays "I am scribbling here a record of my life's experiences, which is sufficient for purposes of inward health" (Montaigne 361). He is saying that experiences are the root of being internally satisfied. Montaigne focuses on the art of law which deals with the mind and soul, along with the art of medicine which deals with experiences of the body. He suggests that these are equally importance to a person to become complete. A person needs to find the appropriate balance between these things, in order to achieve happiness and contentment. Experiences shape every element of an individual, especially how they form their thinking process. In regards to faith, experiences dictate what to believe in. Going to church, partaking in mission trip, or a death of a love one are all experiences that bring a person closer or further away from their faith. By tracing back to the origins of where one gets their faith, it shows that it is rooted and influenced by experiences. Circumstances can incorporate faith into one's life, but can also bring about doubt. Undergoing similar situations can bring up doubts and hesitation to rethink beliefs and faith. However, reason is used to come to a consensus to these doubts. Experiences play a key role in providing evidence and proof to justify facts and feelings. If a person has experienced something, that serves as their logic behind their beliefs and actions. Faith, doubt, and reason, all serve as tools to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
