Under the aegis of His Imperial Majesty we declare the foundation the Russian

Impressive adventure route following the path of Siberian merchants: lake Baikal, the Lena
river, Yakutia, The Kuril Islands, Kamchatka, the Aleutian Islands and Alaska.
Project’s Mission
The project’s mission is to create the most impressive expeditionary route in the
world as well as to provide an impetus to the development of interesting and
profitable projects in the territory of Siberia and Far East and facilitate the
enhancement of the cooperation between Siberia and Alaska.
Main Goals of the Project
• To gain attention to the legendary historical route covering 7 unique regions.
• To learn more about the culture and advanced experiences of the cooperation of the
Russian entrepreneurs of the 19th century and to promote the outstanding
achievements of the Russian-American Company.
• To make a film and a photo book for the promotion of the unique Baikal-Alaska
landmarks.

Stage I: Baikal - Yakutsk
May 20 – June 2 2016 года
Irkutsk → lake Baikal (Olkhon) → Ust-Kut → the Lena river → Yakutsk

The starting point of the expedition is lake Baikal, the deepest lake in the world, a
sacred place with powerful energy, pure fresh water and unique flora and fauna.
It was from here that Siberian merchants headed on to explore the new lands in the north
and east of the Empire.
Car passage from Olkhon to Ust-Kut by SUV’s. Accommodation on the camp barge specially
equipped for a week-long passage down the Lena river to Yakutsk.
During the passage you will be able to take part in Russian-American Company seminars
(conducted by Vadim Shakherov), strategic planning sessions and search for the
contemporary ideas to facilitate territorial development.
Leisure time: banya (Russian sauna), fishing, talks by the fire, photosets at the Lena pillars,
a unique geological formation that began to develop more than 500 million years ago.

Stage II. Yakutia - Kamchatka
June 2– June 14, 2016
Yakutsk → Amga→ Ayan → the Kurils → Kamchatka

Press conference in Yakutsk. Jeep passage down the winter road from Yakutsk to the village
of Amga, crossing the Lena on a ferry.
Helicopter flight from Amga to the port of Ayan located on the sea of Okhotsk. Travel stop at
the Kondyor Massif, one of the biggest platinum fields in the world (rounded massif 8 km
(5 miles) in diameter). Since it is a territorial object of state significance it is not among
tourist attractions.
Sea passage (5-7 days) from Ayan to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky on board of a research vessel
Athena, visiting the Kuril Islands.
In Kamchatka: national park tour, watching wild brown bears in the South Kamchatka
wildlife sanctuary. Accommodation in a recreational camp with hot springs.

Press conference in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
The first route section from Kamchatka to Alaska is a passage on a 20-meter (65-foot) sailing
yacht from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to the port of Dutch Harbor (Alaska, USA). We will
be making several stops at the Aleutian Islands (Attu, Adak, Atka).
Passage program: ocean fishing, watching the whales in the northern wildlife, meeting the
indigenous people of the Aleutian Islands.

Stage IV. Russian America
June 30 – July 19, 2016
Dutch Harbor → the Aleutian Islands → Sitka → San-Francisco → Fort Ross

The second route section from Dutch Harbor port to Sitka (Alaska, USA). Yacht passage with
stops at the islands (Akutan, Unalaska, Umnak, Kadyak), watching the whales in the
northern wildlife, ocean fishing.
In Alaska: hydroplane tour over the national nature parks, landing on Shelikhov lake of a
unique glacial origin.
Meeting with the officials.
Scheduled flight from Sitka to San-Francisco; meeting the expeditionists and taking part in
a press conference in the historical park of Fort Ross (a former Russian settlement in North
America).
Ceremonial finish of the expedition.

Stage V. Back Across the Ocean

You may take part in a return yacht passage from Sitka (Alaska, USA) to Petropavlovsk-
Kamchatsky. Passage duration is 1 month.
The route passes through the Commander and Aleutian islands (Kadyak, Atka, Adak, Bering
Island, Medny Island) and includedes customs formalities in Dutch Harbor.
Passage program: ocean fishing, watching wild whales, observing the wildlife of the Pacific
North. In Kamchatka: national park tour, watching wild brown bears in the South
Kamchatka wildlife sanctuary.
