Pathway/Seating Area Lawn POND Overlook Sports Wet pond Inlet Sub-Project Design Status: 1 st  Advertisement in July. Permit process almost complete Notice to Proceed still on track for October-November 2011
Tree Preventative Maintenance Austin Tree Experts awarded contract http://www.austintreeexperts.com/waterloo.cfm Current Activities : Tree pruning and mulching Web site developed and linked Outlet Heritage trees inspected Next Steps : This process will continue until inlet contractor starts. Permit issues need to be resolved

Restoration Projects (Outlet Restoration - Waterloo Restoration – 4 th  & 8th St. restoration)  Design is 25- 30% complete. Design is linked to site development but will be constructed in 2013. Current Activities: Design is part of related area project for permitting. Once approved, restoration will be bid as separate packages. Additional detail and coordination: Trellis Solar elements Benches Trails Trees, etc Next Steps: Define scope for construction packages – Late 2011

Waller Creek Conservancy Design Competition Phases Pre-competition Planning  Now through August 2011 Competition Kick-off  September 2011 Stage I: Portfolio  Mid-November 2011 Stage II: Teams and Interview  Mid-December 2011 Stage III: Design Concept  December 2011 through May 2012 Post-competition  May 2012 and beyond
Public Outreach Recent Activities  Groundbreaking – resulted in accurate news coverage in the following media:  Fox News, KVUE, YNN, the  Daily Texan , and the  Statesman  Transforming Texas Waterfronts exhibit at the Capitol  Informative signs to be placed at 4th Street, boathouse, and Waterloo Park Coverage in ASCE’s  Civil Engineering Magazine
Upcoming Activities Recent Activities   Interview with  Design, Development, and Construction Journal Coordination with SMBR to boost participation in inlet bidding process.
