3. Lighting
The lighting of the cake scene makes you feel
safe and warming especially after the car
accident when she is dreaming about her
daughters fifth birthday cake and her blowing
the candles out. Then when she appears to
wake up in the hospital bed with a yellowy spot
light on her face. This seems to be more
realistic however something is still not right
because its dark and there are no nurses or
other people around. Then when she comes out
into the corridor you realizes she's still in a
dream because of the empty hospital and the
sinister light green light makes you feel uneasy
especially when the lights start going out and
the darkness is made to almost chase Sarah
down the corridor towards reality when she
wakes up and hugs her friend. The lighting then
changes again becoming bright more like a real
hospital.

4. Location
The first shot of the birthday cake isn't in a location at
all it doesn't’t exist and is a fragment of her imagination
however tips you off where the story is going to go.
When she appears to wake up we know she is in a
hospital because of the heart monitor and also the
drips, gown and hospital bed. The fact she is in a
hospital is reassured in the third screen shot in the
corridor because it is blatantly a hospital corridor.
However because of the light this creates the
atmosphere that the hospital is abandoned or old
because it looks dirty and sinister with the green tints.
When she runs away from the darkness there is a
blatant transition between before and after she hugs
her friend and even though it’s the same place after is
reality and before its not.

5. Costume
Beth in this scene is she wears a hospital
gown. Juno has a outside coat on with
lapel’s and her hair is tied back in a pony
tail which could also show she is sporty.
Props
Props used in this clips are the cake which
is used in the very first shot of this clip and
is used later in the film. The other prop is
the heat monitor used when she is in the
hospital bed.

7. Lighting
The lighting at the start of the clip is
basically none existent apart from the
head touch's and this is until they reach
the bigger cave where she gets the
camcorder out with the night vision and
sees all the bones on the floor because
of the bones they start to panic and
start shouting which attracts the
crawler which is behind the person that
she is videoing. Then after they light a
flare and have a mixed light of the flare
and the head torch's.

8. Location
All through this clip the location is in the
cave however at first they are in a cave
system and then they come into a bigger
cave with higher ceiling and this is when
the monster attacks.
