LIONSGATE
• Largest and most successful
mini-major film studio
• Similar films distributed:
American Psycho, Saw, The
Punisher, Hunger Games
• Similarities to our film: same
genre (horror), initial idea
from American Psycho
• High budget company
• These films try to target a
more adult audience from 18
up to 50 because they are
violent and show
inappropriate content for
children
WARNER BROTHERS
• One of the ”big six (five)
• Multiple horror and thriller movies like “It”, “Annabell: Creation”, “A Nightmare on Elm
Street” which show similarities with our film
• High budget company
• These films try to target a more adult audience from 18 up to 50 because they are
violent and show inappropriate content for children
IFC MIDNIGHT
• Independent company
owned by AMC Networks
• It distributes mainly
horror movies in all kind
• Medium budget company
• These films try to target a
more adult audience from
18 up to 50 because they
are violent and show
inappropriate content for
children but also people
who can accept a lower
quality of films
I would go with Lionsgate because the similarities between their horror/thriller movies
and our idea are really close. Also, it is a well known company which is popular for its
previous films.
AUDIENCE
• Age Group: 18-60 (Horror Genre with violent and inappropriate scenes for children;
modern film, nothing traditional or happy = not for older people)
• Living Area: Western City Society (main character is a psychopath as a business guy,
therefore the film represents more the city life); but also for smaller towns and for
suburbs
• Hobbies and Interest: Interest in money business (such as at the Wall Street),
• Education/Jobs: For people with education and maybe jobs in the money business
(again so they can reflect in the main character)
• Income: It targets more at the people with a higher income (main role features a rich
guy killing other maybe even poor people); maybe also people with a normal and
lower income (see main character as an antithesis; how they don’t want to be)
