This document discusses how a student film fits conventions of the home invasion horror genre. It notes that typical elements include being set entirely in a house, featuring masked murderers, and innocent young victims. The student incorporated these elements through the costume, setting, and characters. The victim is a young female portrayed as vulnerable. The murderer wears a hood and mask to look threatening while still realistic. The setting of a normal suburban home adds realism, an important aspect of the home invasion subgenre. Overall, the film remains faithful to genre conventions rather than challenging them.
This is my presentation on the casting choices my team and I made for our A2 production. Casting is very important for this film, as if we don't choose the right people, the film could give off the wrong genre and seem almost like a parody.
A Review on Sentimental Analysis of Application ReviewsIJMER
As with rapid evolution of computer technology and smart phones mobile applications
become very important part of our life. It is very difficult for customers to keep track of different
applications reviews so sentimental analysis is used. Sentimental analysis is effective and efficient
evolution of customer’s opinion in real time. Sentimental analysis for applications review is performed
two approaches statistical model based approaches and Natural Language Processing (NLP) based
approaches to create rules. Two schemes used for analyzing the textual comments- aspect level
sentimental analysis analyses the text and provide a label on each aspect then scores on multiple
aspects are aggregated and result for reviews shown in graphs. Second scheme is document level
analyses which comprising of adjectives, adverbs and verbs and n-gram feature extraction. I have also
used our SentiWordNet scheme to compute the document-level sentiment for each movie reviewed
and compared the results with results obtained using Alchemy API. The sentiment profile of a movie is
also compared with the document-level sentiment result. The results obtained show that my scheme
produces a more accurate and focused sentiment profile than the simple document-level sentiment
analysis.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

Evaluation question 1
1. Evaluation Question 1
In what ways does your production
use, develop or challenge forms and
conventions of real fiction films in
your chosen genre?
2. Conventions of a typical film in my
genre
The genre that my film would fit into if it were
real would be a “home invasion” horror.
Typically the characteristics of a film in this
genre would be things like:
• Set in a single location (usually a house)
• Masked murderers
• Young and seemingly innocent victim
3. Films that would fall under my genre
• The Purge (2013)
• The strangers (2008)
• Your Next (2013)
4. How does my film fit the genre?
I feel that my film fits this genre because I
incorporated many of the generic conventions
that would be expected of a home invasion
horror.
Such as costume, setting and characters.
I do not feel that my film would challenge the
genre, as I decided to remain faithful to it in
many ways.
5. Characters And Costumes
The Victim: The actress I chose to play the role
of the victim fits the conventions of a similar
character in a real movie in this genre. The
character is young and female, which implies
innocence and vulnerability. Her costume
suggest that she is youthful and middle class as
her clothing incorporates bright colours, and
causal fits. This is seen commonly with a victim
in a home invasion horror.
The Murderer: The actor and costume I chose
to use for the murderer in my film fits the
conventions of my genre perfectly. This is
seen in his taller and more broad physical
build. His costume is perfect for a character of
this nature, as I felt that the hood and mask
concealed his identity and made him look
menacing, whilst still looking realistic.
6. Setting
The setting is an important factor in defining my film as a home
invasion, as there is always a strong feeling of realism in this sub
genre of horror. Their for I felt it made sense to set my
production in a relatively normal suburban home.
