FEEDBACK

2. TARGET AUDIENCE
Our target audience is between the ages of 15
to 35, as an interest into mature crime
thrillers is more prevalent between those ages.
Additionally, we are targeting our film at both
men and women however we understand that
a higher percentage of the audience that
would be interested in our product will be
male. Our target audience will most likely be
interested in similar media; they may be
interested in mature crime, thriller films such
as Blade Runner 2049, The Girl on the Train,
or Gone Girl. Our target audience may also be
interested in serial detective dramas such as
BBC's Sherlock, Elementary, or Strike. The
younger half of our target audience may also
be interested in similarly themed video games
such as Heavy Rain.

3. METHODS OF GETTING FEEDBACK
There are multiple ways of recording audience feedback such as
exit polls, surveys, interviewing, and questionnaires.
Audiences may also be asked for their opinion via social media,
through Twitter hashtags, polls as well as audience video reviews of
the product.

4. AUDIENCE FEEDBACK I’VE RECEIVED: Magazine
For my magazine cover I received very positive
feedback however I received criticism over my use of
colour; that there was no consistent use of colours
throughout the poster. Additionally, the positioning of
characters doesn’t clearly convey which is the
protagonist. But, I have also received some positive
feedback, that the imagery used is consistent with the
tone of the trailer and poster.

5. AUDIENCE FEEDBACK I’VE RECEIVED: Poster
I received a lot of positive feedback on my work with my
poster
“The poster is amazing. It makes me want to see the film
because it is so dramatic. The lighting makes it striking.”
“It is very well laid out with the trio of men, with the main
character looking so brooding and the killer just behind him.”
“I love the images on this poster. The quality of the
photography is so high, with every detail so clear: very
professional looking. The setting is intriguing, too, with the
ruined building and the silhouette of the roof at night. The
open window in the bottom of the frame adds to the mystery.
The main character has a gun but we can’t see it very clearly
and the masked man has a knife. It’s clear that the film is
going to be action packed and tense.”
“This is one of the best composed posters that I have seen.
The images all work together well and the name of the film
stands out clearly against the black. The Damned is a
powerful film title and the poster conveys that power and
drama.”

6. AUDIENCE FEEDBACK I’VE RECEIVED: Trailer
For my trailer I received mostly positive feedback.
“It ticks all the boxes as far as I am concerned. It really makes me want to see the finished film
especially when the trailer comes an end and we are left with a cliff hanger, wanting to know if
detective will survive the attack.”
“What impressed me is how atmospheric the whole piece is. The exterior lighting of the house
at night as well as the shots inside when the detective discovers the writing and symbols on the
wall really made an impact. I particularly liked the shot of the outstretched arm outlined
against the wall. The directors have a very artistic eye.”
“The story made sense even at one sitting, which is important in a trailer as there is so much to
take in. The voice over really set the scene well.”
“There is nothing that could improve the trailer, in my view. The actor is directed very
convincingly and the plot is so clear: he wants to find out who killed his brother and he is angry
that the case never got solved. He makes us feel a lot of sympathy for him so I was rooting for
him to succeed. He seemed in a lot of danger in the cult house and I wanted to find out who
had done the murder and if he was going to be next.”
“Everything is so well shot, everything in focus, and smoothly edited.”
“I wasn’t sure at first if the voiceover was going to work but I can see how important it is to
make the back story clear.”
“The soundtrack is great. It really gets the heart pumping.”
