Editor's Notes

  • #3 For this I just used an article I found about 300-400 words on the use of mobile phones and how it was affecting society.
  • #10 I showed this youtube video and asked the students a series of detailed questions like what colour coat someone in the video was wearing and of course no one could answer it because they weren’t looking for it. Then I gave each student a piece of paper with something to look out for and we would watch it again and then everyone answered the questions correctly. So the point of an evaluation is that you should know what you are looking for before you start the evaluation process.
  • #12 This activity I used these illusion pictures and got students to write down on mini-whiteboards the first thing they saw. Students in the classroom found that they each saw different things so it was highlighting that each person even though they are looking at the same event will interpret and see things differently to someone else.
  • #13 Old women & Girl looking away
  • #14 Old man with a beard & Bride and groom kissing under a reef
  • #15 Tribal indian & Eskimo painting the wall
