For a magazine design assignment, the student created a music magazine cover and double page spread relating to the cover. They researched professional magazine layouts, noticing key elements like main images and text placement. For their cover, the student filled all spaces with elements like a banner and balanced images with an interview text on the double page spread.

Evaluation
For this assignment I was asked to create a front
cover and also a magazine double page spread
for the inside of my magazine which has to
relate to the magazine front cover. I decided
and it would be something that I would enjoy to
create a music magazine as this is something
that I can relate o as I am a massive fan of music
and this is something that I would enjoy creating
and making. For the front cover of my magazine
I looked at a number of professional different
music magazines and I took note of the different
layouts and designs making mine very
professional, for example the writing all on one
side and the main mage on the right hand side
or the image overlaying on top of the magazine
main image. I noticed that when looking at
these there were no spare spaces everything
was filled on the page of the front cover. So I
decided to fill my front cover by adding a banner
saying “WIN V.I.P TICKETS” getting all of the
spare spaces filled also ion my double page spread the images fill the space however I filled the
spaces with quotes such as “IBIZA MADNESS”. To balance the images with text I put the entire txt ion
the left hand side balancing with the images. The text is a one to one interview with DJ ALEX CLARE.
