9. The company we have chosen to distribute
our film
After considering many film distributors we have decided to choose Warp Films as
our distributor. The reason why we have chosen Warp is because our film will
target a niche target audience so therefore we didn’t need a huge conglomerate to
release our film to mainstream cinemas, we needed a well known independent film
company to distribute our films to many art house cinemas. One of our main
reason’s why we chose Warp was because as well as Warp being one of the biggest
UK film companies, they are also local as they are based in Sheffield so therefore
everything will be cheaper with distributing with Warp films and people in this local
area will be able to see our film. Additionally, because Warp films is local that
means we can advertise our film in the local area easily as all of our cast live near
Sheffield.
