The student created 6 images depicting key scenes from Romeo and Juliet using Illustrator. They collected images from online and their own photos, then combined and manipulated them in Photoshop before tracing the outlines and colors in Illustrator. The student took time to ensure accuracy and felt they created a professional-looking result, though noted room for improvement in adding more detail. Overall, the student was pleased with the creative and polished final outcomes of the individual images.

1. HA3 Task 4 – Romeo and Juliet Evaluation
From the start of the brief we was given, I understood all of the criteria. Using
illustrator and images which I have collected off the internet and ones I have
taken myself, I have combined them to create images which would create the
main key scenes within Romeo and Juliet. I used the correct methods and
techniques to create these 6 images. By collecting the images, I combined
them and manipulated them in Photoshop to create a mock-up, I saved it as a
.JPEG and they opened the image up in illustrator. Using the ‘pen tool’, I drew
around the images in detail by zooming in and getting everything I could see
then by using the ‘eye dropper tool’ I took the correct colours then applied
them to the shapes I made which then created the final piece of art work. I
think personally I was skilful at the work I created as it looks just like the image
which I put together in Photoshop, whether it was professional looking is
something different as I tried my best to create the best outcome I could do by
taking my time and looking at it within detail. For areas of improvement, I
could have added more to the images themselves instead of it being slightly
plain and boring, even though there’s a lot in the images, more props or
people within the images.
The final outcome of the artwork I created are greater than the original
intentions I had, I did not think it would come out looking the way it did. It
looks more creative than I thought it would and the time and effort put into it
has made it seem worth it. I’m pleased with the outcome of the images
individually as they are all different and have had time put into them to get
them looking how they do, also with the techniques, I do not feel like I could of
created it any differently as I like the style it is in and I’m pleased with the way
it has turned out.
