The student used various new media technologies at different stages of their project. They used Blogger to upload and share work, Survey Monkey to collect feedback, Prezi for interactive presentations, YouTube to upload and analyze videos, and Microsoft Office for writing. Photoshop, Premier Pro, and After Effects were used to create a poster, trailer, and edit videos. Hardware included a Mac for editing and a Canon camera for photos and videos. The student felt they had progressed in their skills and confidence using these technologies from the previous year.

2. Programs used when researching and
planning
I used blogger to upload all of my work, it
also allowed my lecturer to have access
to it and grade it easily. I found it easier
to use than printing everything off, also I
could link to things from there
Survey Monkey has allowed me to gain
audience feedback easily, and fast, it also
means that I didn’t have to print off numerous
pages to hand out to people, I could also
review the feedback with charts and graphs
instead of creating my own.
Prezi has allowed me to create interesting
mind maps and show how I am going to work
with ease. It has an interactive interface
which is also good for showing presentations.
YouTube has helped me upload my work
which is in video form, also I could find
clips to analyse and look at to get ideas
for my work.

3. Microsoft Office has made it easy to
create PowerPoint's and also write
essays, it also allowed me to write my
script, and deconstructions.
Adobe Creative Cloud
There are a number of programs I have
used in the adobe creative cloud,
including, After Effects, Premier Pro
and Photoshop. I created my poster on
Photoshop, and created my trailer and
practice trailers on premier pro. I edited
in gun shots with After Effects

4. Hardware Used
The main piece of hardware I used was a Mac, it is great for
editing photographs and has a quick and smooth interface. The
only problems I encountered was the mac loosing data, but I
think this is more of the colleges server problems than the
computer its self.
To film I used a Canon EOS 60D, it is a
really good camera, but I couldn’t film in high
quality otherwise it would only film for 10
seconds, and I needed to film parts which
were several minutes long. I also took
photos for my poster with this camera, It is
an 18 megapixel camera, so made really
good quality images.

5. How I have progressed
I have used a wider range of programs from last year and I think this
has worked to my advantage, I could do more work in different ways
and make it more visually appealing. I also am more confident using
these platforms compared to last year as I have more experience in
them.

6. Conclusion
Altogether I used a wide range of technologies to create my work,
mostly revolving around the internet, it made research and
uploading really easy and was a much more effective way to do it
than by hand on paper, or printing it out. I think that I could have
used a wider range of technologies if I wanted to, but the amount
that I have used has worked really well.
