Bulgarian event but it is your first week
in Bulgaria. The event includes the
knowledge for the culture and the
traditions of the country. Don’t worry
because now you are going to meet

3. A typical restaurant
outing may take
anywhere from 2-4
hours, as people are used
to eating slowly and
enjoying each other's
company.
Our dinners start usually
around 19:00 o’clock but
this is not fixed because
every family has different
traditions. About our other
meals the breakfast is served
in 09:00 and the lunch is
around 12:00 o’clock.
4. About the place - The
restaurant is chosen
according to
individual
preferences and
appropriate for the
occasion.
5. For ordinary dinner you can simply be
dressed normally and elegantly.
For business dinner you should be dressed
with business clothes.
For wedding, prom or other special
occasion you can be dressed more officially
6. Men usually shake
hands, but when woman
is greeting another
woman a kiss on each
cheek is common if they
know each other. A light
handshake is normal if
people meet for the first
time.
7. If you are invited to someone else’s house for dinner
before you enter the house you should take off your
shoes unless the hosts especially tell you not to.
Expression of trust is to give them your coat and
purse to put away them for you.
8. When you are
invited by someone to
dinner it is good manner
to bring flowers for the
hostess and a bottle of
good spirits for the host.
9. Eating more food shows appreciation for it. So it is
good to try everything that is on the table so eat a
little of everything. The glasses are always filled by
the host even if you don’t ask for it. Leave a little
bit at the bottom of your glass if you don't want
more.
10. Table manners in
Bulgaria could be
considered
casual, but there are
certain rules of
etiquette that
should be
appreciated.
