Ms. Rang:
The Morning Call has aided readers in the appreciation of celebrating the Lehigh Valley
small businesses that are supported by neighborhood champions. What better way to
continue highlighting LV and local trades than by featuring a successful restaurant’s
one-year anniversary promotion?
I would like to suggest a local piece on the accomplishment of the one-year anniversary
of Bone’s Pizza and Restaurant, located downtown in the heart of Kutztown.
Bone’s Pizza is the self-fulfilled dream of long-time community member, Terry Dorrity.
Looking for a change of pace to his busy lifestyle as a financial adviser, Dorrity seized
the opportunity to open a pizza shop next to Kutztown University’s campus last April.
Since your readers value local achievement and good food, a feature story will inspire
feelings of shared community accomplishment. Informing your readers of their vested
interest in the continued success of small town businesses will motivate readers to
support local venues. If you have an interest in pursuing small business success, please
contact me at 484-342-3420. I would be delighted to set up an interview with business
owner, Terry Dorrity. I will call next week to answer questions.
Your time and consideration of featuring this anniversary story is appreciated.
Sincerely,
Chloe Joyce

Bone’s Pizza Kicks off Summer with Community Block Party
Known for its PA Dutch heritage, Kutztown is a close-knit community with a
small town atmosphere and a thriving main street of small shops located in
southeastern Pennsylvania. Embracing the community spirit and offering friendly,
home style dining, Bone’s Pizza and Restaurant and this college town kick off the
season with an outdoor street festival at its Annual KCP CommUnity Block Party in
April.
Bone’s Pizza and Restaurant enthusiastically participates in this event. The pizza
shop, located on the corner of Normal and Main Street, across from Kutztown
University of Pennsylvania’s North campus, bookends the east side of the festival.
During the street fair, tables are set up outside the restaurant serving fresh pizza,
sandwiches, cold drinks, and frozen yogurt to thousands of visitors.
A proud sponsor and supporter of the neighborhood block party, college
organizations, and local artists, Bone’s Pizza donates proceeds regularly. Near and dear
to Bone’s heart, and new this year to the festival, is an Author’s Pavilion. Bone’s Pizza is
presently developing a book club night to host at the restaurant.
Since opening in April of 2015 as a reasonably priced neighborhood
meeting spot, the pizza shop has offered guests two experiences under one roof. First, a
family-friendly casual dining restaurant and secondly, Bone’s Twisted Sister, an
attached frozen yogurt shop. Offering over thirty topping choices, the fro-yo is sure to
evoke the sentiment of playfulness. No street fair would be complete without enjoying a
frozen treat.
