This document describes the design and working of a pneumatic reciprocating water pumping system. The system uses compressed air and a pneumatic cylinder to pump water with very little electric power. It consists of a water tank, non-return valve, pneumatic cylinder, and control unit. When the solenoid valve is actuated, the pneumatic cylinder extends and retracts, driving a pumping cylinder to suck water in and deliver it continuously on demand with minimal manual effort or electricity. The system has applications for lubrication in machining areas.
