3. ESTONIA
Estonia is a democratic parliamentary republic
and is divided into fifteen counties. The capital
and largest city is Tallinn. With a population of
only 1.4 million, it is one of the least-populous
members of the European Union. The territory
of Estonia covers 45,227 km².
10. WITCH WELL
The Tuhala Witch Well in the Tuhala karst area is in
reality a karst spring that starts gushing forth during the
spring floods when the underground Tuhala River can
no longer carry on all the water quickly enough. The
well is only 2.5 m deep, but under pressure from the
river water it can spurt water up to half a metre. A
legend says that the Witch Well will boil when the
Tuhala witches are whisking. The former Tuhala parish
was popularly called the Witch parish.
