1. Essays Against School Uniforms
Writing an essay against school uniforms can be a challenging task, as it involves navigating
through various perspectives and presenting a coherent argument. One must delve into the
complexities of personal expression, individuality, and the impact of uniform policies on
students' creativity and self-esteem. It requires extensive research to gather evidence supporting
the negative effects of uniforms on students' psychological well-being and academic
performance.
Crafting a compelling essay involves not only presenting arguments against school uniforms but
also addressing potential counterarguments. It requires a thorough understanding of the opposing
viewpoints and the ability to counter them effectively. Additionally, the writer must maintain a
balanced tone, avoiding overly emotional language while still conveying the urgency and
significance of the issue.
Organizing the essay in a logical and persuasive manner is crucial. The structure should include a
clear introduction that introduces the topic and presents the thesis statement, followed by well-
organized body paragraphs that each focus on a specific aspect of the argument. Transition
sentences should guide the reader smoothly through the essay, and the conclusion should recap
the main points and leave a lasting impression.
Moreover, the writer must be aware of the potential audience and tailor their arguments to
resonate with their readers. Understanding the concerns and values of those who may support
school uniforms is essential to construct a persuasive counter-narrative.
In conclusion, writing an essay against school uniforms demands critical thinking, research skills,
and the ability to articulate a well-structured and compelling argument. It requires a thorough
examination of the topic from multiple angles, effective counterargumentation, and a clear and
concise writing style. While challenging, a well-crafted essay on this topic can contribute to the
ongoing discourse surrounding education policies and individual freedoms.

The Echo 2012 Global Customer Service Barometer stated that Nearly a third of

The 2011 Customer Experience Impact Report projected that 86% of consumers will
pay up to 25% more for a better customer experience (2). In the paragraphs below,
good customer service is broken down into the definition, what the customer and
employer view is, and how good customer service affects the reputation of the
business.
Definition
According to Customer Service for Dummies, customer service is how well an
employee is communicating and creating a relationship with a customer (1). Each
business has either a mission statement or purpose that incorporates customer service
into it. Customer service policies within businesses define how their employees
should behavior when a situation arises with a customer.
An example of a customer service policy is the policy stated on the Fairfield Inn
Suites in Grand Island on its website. The policy states, At the Grand Island
Fairfield Inn Suites, you are our #1 priority. We promise you will be satisfied, or we
will make it right. That is our commitment to you. Policies like this one show how
some businesses take customer service very seriously because their customers are of
the most importance; although, most businesses have different views on what the
true meaning of customer service is in their business.
Customer View
Customers will tell 9 to 12 people if he or she gets good service while purchasing a
product within a company (Leland and Bailey 1). If a company treats its
4. How To Get Credit For A New Business Case Study
How to get credit for a new business
Written by Janet Gershen Siegel
Do you know how a new business can acquire a business line of credit? As a new
business, by definition, you have no or little business credit history, so it could be
difficult. When you ask: What is the credit score of a new business? The answer is it s
usually not so hot. But you can get past that. Here are some ideas which will work.
Use your personal credit to get started
At some point, you will want to stop doing this, but at the beginning, you have got to
get your new business off the ground, and that means you will need developmental
funding. This is funding to do anything from paying a rental deposit for an office to
purchasing a set of prototypes for a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
No matter which kind of vendor you get trade credit with, be responsible and, of
course, pay them on time (and early, if you can swing that). Not only does that
reinforce and maintain that relationship, it also counts toward your credit score.
Be responsible with any credit you ve got, including personal
This may feel a bit like an obvious fact, but your use of currently existing credit will
be what any creditor (trade or banks, etc.) will use to ascertain if you can pay your
bills on time and are, therefore, what is considered a good credit risk. Suddenly
squandering all of your personal credit at the tables in Vegas is not going to endear
you to future lenders. New companies in particular, no matter how cautious they
are, are generally evaluated as the full credit package. That is, both personal and
business credit scores are under consideration. If you look like a bad credit risk on
the personal credit side, you ll appear, to future lenders and creditors, to be an
equally poor credit risk on the business side of things.
Establish your business under IRS rules
And finally, because a new business and its credit will inevitably be conflated with
the personal credit of its founder(s), take steps to separate the two. One of the most
significant steps you can take is to apply for an IRS EIN (employer identification
number). By declaring to the IRS that your new business is the real deal, and not just
a pipe dream

6. The Common Cause Of Death For American Citizens
Introduction Our body system is not immune to pathological deficiencies. There exist
numerous identified pathologies which compromise the regular functioning of a
heart, but all heart related pathologies are narrowed to a single condition known as
Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS). This is the term properly used in reference to the
different identified clinical entities threatening the cardiovascular system. ACS is the
result of the progressive or complete sudden blocking of the arteries or veins; this
prevents an appropriate bloodflow through the circulatory system, and as a
consequence, the body is unable to receive enough oxygen and nutrients to meet its
daily necessities.
This makes ACS a life threatening form of coronary heart disease (CHD) that involves
three mayor types of conditions: unstable angina, thrombosis, and atrial fibrillation.
Even though there are many other conditions for ACS, these three are the most
common causes of death for American citizens. This syndrome has become a
serious issue in the last decade. Many people are unaware of what ACS is and how
dangerous it is. ACS is responsible for the death of about 600,000 people only in
the United States alone that is 1 of every 4 deaths. Around other parts of the world,
ACS was projected by the World Health Organization (WHO) to become the single
largest cause of death worldwide by the year 2020 (Lu and Nordin, 2013).
Today, suggested treatments depend on patients health and type of ACS condition.

For the assignment of producing a six supplied line 180 second drama short film I

research and contributions I made towards the short film. The main roles of the 1st

The shooting schedule itself included all the necessary information needed to be
organised and to hopefully keep on track, these were timings, scene number, night or
day, location (Forest or House), short scene description, any props needed. The
printed schedule allowed space underneath for any notes to be added if timings or
schedules changed, this way I could alert the director of any required information.
On day one we did fall behind by two hours but I had told the group before hand
that I had schedule it so we could overrun by 2.5 hours if need be, even though we
didn t keep to schedule I still let the director and the crew know how behind on
time we were, what scenes were coming up and progress reports of the day. With
regards to lunch I checked with everyone on set for it to be pushed back a little to fit
in the morning scenes, even though it s annoying they were still happy that I had
checked with them beforehand adding to the approachable aspects of my role.
However when I found out we would be reshooting I should have created a second
shooting schedule so we could keep organised on day two, doing this would allow
the director to be certain on what shots needed to be re filmed and if any audio
needed to be captured. I did have notepad with some notes on shots but a shooting
schedule would have been more ordered and precise so we could have been there for
as little time as possible.

The ability to dream is magical in itself. A girl often plays the game of, Happily
ever after, where she goes to a ball and falls madly in love with the prince. Disney
first captured this idea in the film Cinderella in 1950. One fact that seemed to bother
some viewers was that the destined couple met and fell in love at first sight. It is
perfectly plausible, but somewhat unrealistic. A new adaptation of the basic story of
Cinderellahas taken this concern and altered how they met to meeting in the woods
days before the ball. It was love of personality that had the two entranced. Cinderella

Disney intended for the magic to help Cinderella get to the ball to meet and
eventually marry the prince. This version has realistic aspects but does not limit the
imagination and specialness of the dramatic dress transformation. Ever After had
the main character, Danielle, a strong headed woman that had a voice and shared

William was young at this time in his life, but that didn t mean he would back down

who were then killed by their opponents. Harold s brothers were also killed early in

according to Norman accounts, and the English gave up. (par.1) this quote shows that

In this way, we will look at the work of Anna Julia Cooper specifically, and how this
work intersects with the theory of the Talented Tenth. We will then look at
contemporary intellectuals bell hooks and Patricia Hill Collins to locate a similar
intersection with the philosophies mandated through the Talented Tenth. In each case
these women may be seen as carrying on the work of the Talented Tenth to varying
degrees. I will explore these degrees and explain the method of each intellectual as
well as the intended result. I will demonstrate the inclusiveness and exclusiveness of
each woman s efforts, and will show that a general movement towards a more

A major goal of all three intellectuals discussed above is (or was) to further the

successful in identifying risk reduction reciprocity model in cross cultural examples,
such as Bliege Bird et. al. (2002), which proposed that this could be because of their
treatment of free riders or just that they practice food and resource sharing without
any concern for reducing risk of loss of resources. Either way, as previously

different types of relationships. Overall, the primary concern of this paper is going to

21. Summary Of Beethoven Sonata First Movement

T252 Conditional Pass Analysis Paper
Fall 2014
Beethoven s Waldstein Sonata First Movement
Piano Sonata No. 21 in C major, Opus 53 is one of the most technically challenging
and compositionally ambitious piano sonatas by Beethoven. The name of the
sonata, Waldstein , is derived from Beethoven s dedication, Count Ferdinand Ernst
Gabriel von Waldstein of Vienna, a long time close friend and patron of the
composer. Composed from 1803 to 1804, it is one of the most important pieces of
Beethoven s middle period and surpasses all the earlier sonatas in scope, power, and
energy. Like many other major pieces around the time the piece was composed,
Beethoven was constantly augmenting the sonata form, giving significantly more ...

The key characteristic of this five note cell is that it is entirely composed of step wise
motion. This feature would affect the melodic and harmonic choices of the movement
s composition, as the movement is almost entirely built on step wise motion. Because
of the step wise quality of the movement, the primary harmonic motion is an
oscillation between tonic and dominant chords.
The movement begins quite solidly in C major as the first component of the theme
(figure 2), which we will call component A, is a repeating eight note C major chord
which hammers the tonic tonality into the listeners minds. This component ends with
an ascending three note step wise motion in the right hand into the dominant of the
key, with the second note being a sharpened F, temporarily tonalicizing the dominant,
suggesting the idea to the listeners that the beginning C major chords may instead
be serving a subdominant function to G. In measure 3 and 4, the left descends into
B, serving as a bridge to the upcoming flat VII to smooth out the jarring key shift.
We will call the right hand motif in measure 3 as component B and the one in
measure 4 as component C. All three motifs would come back later as important
building blocks of the movement. Beethoven confuses the listeners further as we
progress into measure 5. The first four measures are repeated, but the music
22. Letting Go
Letting go. It is difficult for us in so many ways and on so many levels. Yet life
calls upon us to do it, over and over again. Letting go is part of our growth process.
We cannot move on to the new while continuing to cling to the old. There come
times, in the context of love and romance, when we must learn to let go. For some
of us, as described in the song, we must let go of a past romantic relationship.
Maybe the relationship was not meant to be: perhaps it was hurtful to us, or perhaps
it was hindering the personal or spiritual growth of one or both partners. In this case,
even when there may still be feelings of passion, or attraction, or just the comfort of
the familiar, we must be strong in letting go of something that is... Show more content

Often adult children who have lost a parent before working through interpersonal
issues, or before having an opportunity to say goodbye, have difficulty letting go of
unresolved issues or guilt. Sometimes we may need to go for some counseling or do
a ritual (some act with personal meaning) to allow us to release these emotions. Many
of us have trouble letting go of old ways of viewing people who have been part of
our lives for an extended period of time. They may be changing, and yet we do not
let go of viewing them in the same way, and/or we try to discourage that change.
We refuse to let go of the labeling, categorizing, and pre set expectations we have of
those we know, and of ourselves. This seems particularly true of many parents of
teenage or young adult children. Many parents have a difficult time letting go of
them as children, and allowing them to grow up. It is hard for parents to make that
transition from treating their children as kids, to treating them as adults and more
like friends. Many of these same parents have trouble letting go of viewing
themselves, primarily, in the role of parent. For instance, some mothers are afraid to
let their kids become grownups, because they are afraid to let go of their own
identity as mother. They have become so identified with that one role, that they no
longer are sure who they are, outside of that role. When we refuse to let go of old
ways of identifying and viewing ourselves and others,

The word DJ stands for disc jockey, a person who uses samples of recorded music
to make music . The educational experience of Baby DJ School is a portal into the
wonderful worlds of electro, hip hop, and house music. Baby DJ school originated
in Brooklyn, New York and was opened by Natalie Elizabeth Weiss, DJ, composer
and playwright. She opened the school in order to attribute gross and fine motor
skills, spatial reasoning, and language skills and foster a special bond between

The idea of the Baby DJ School gained massive amounts of popularity via media
and internet and became a spectacular day care for kids. The school has gained so
much popularity recently that even Vice Media, a broadcasting company that
reaches a large global audience, published a video about Baby DJ School. The
video contains dozens of awesome images of babies playing around with the
equipment, along with lots of positive vibes from the teacher and the parents.
However it is not an advertisement. Vice displays a more realistic portrayal of the
school instead of advertise it to a specific audience.
The success of the school is due to the daycare aspects as well as the learning piece
that goes along with listening to music and rhythms at such a young age. Not only are
babies increasing their motor functions and brain development, but the parents can
listen and feel involved in the process of their kid learning something new. This
type of music education at such young age could change the entire way that
education has worked in the past for infants. The multifaceted benefits of the
program far outweigh the disincentives of a normal daycare education, now
students go learn how to mix music with turntables and spin records instead of
going to story time. The school only costs 200 dollars per class and I believe
signing a kid to this school will be one of the greatest investments that a parent can
do for forging strong bonds with the
24. Different Opinions And Ideas About The Theories Of...
In this class, we have discussed many different opinions and ideas about the theories
of personalities. Of these, I have chosen to incorporate ideas from myself,
McAdams, Freud, Jung, Adler, and Horney. I believe that there are seven personality
types and each is displayed as a personification in a character from the Peanuts
cartoons and comics. The personalities are Neuroticism, Openness to Experience and
Imagination, Psychoticism, Passive Aggressive Dependency, Histrionicism,
Introversion, and Extraversion. These personality types make up the world, and I
believe that any single person can actually have several different personalities. It can
be noted that three of the Big Five by McAdams are included in my breakdown of...

Horney came up with a list of ten needs that Neurotic people have. These needs
include The Neurotic need for affection and approval which Charlie Brown clearly
shows in his worry about how others view him (Hall, Lindzey, Campbell, 1998) ;
The Neurotic ambition for personal achievement which is displayed in his over
analysis of everything to try and always improve himself for personal
achievement(Hall, Lindzey, Campbell, 1998) ; And The Neurotic need for
perfection and unassailability which is again shown in his worry over his
inadequacies (Hall, Lindzey, Campbell, 1998) . These negative feelings and thoughts
toward everyday life lead me to believe that Charlie Brown is a near perfect
personification of neuroticism.
Openness to Experience and Imagination In the Peanuts comic, Linus is known as
Charlie Brown s best friend and he carries around a blanket most of the time. This
security blanket helps Linus be open to experiences and imagination. McAdams
describes openness to experience as a cluster of characteristics having to do with how
reflective, imaginative, artistic, and refined a person is (McAdams, 2009). Linus is
one of the most thoughtful, intelligent and inviting of the characters in Peanuts. He
listens to others while thoughtfully thinking about what is said, and he keeps his
mind wide open to the possibility that he will see things that others may not. For
example, Linus is the only

On our way back we grabbed our samples that are needed for our second mission. It

28. Humanistic Perspective Case Study
The behavioral perspective focuses only on observable behavior. From this point
of view, Jake has anxiety because now he has to work hard in order to keep a good
grade in the class. He might ve had a previous experience where he had to work
hard in a class that ended pretty bad, so now he associates a heavy workload with
negative consequences, such as a failing grade. If Jake was treated using the
behavioral approach, they would condition him to associate studying and working
hard with positive consequences instead of with negative consequences.
Psychologists today view the behavioral perspective as an important constituent to
other modern perspectives. The humanistic perspective emphasizes the human
potential and the fact that people have free will. From this perspective, Jake has
anxiety because before this class, he was always doing the best that he could and
reaching his full potential, and now he fears that since the class is harder than the
rest of the classes he s ever taken, then he will not reach his full potential in this
class. If Jake was treated using the humanistic approach, they will make him realize
that he has the freedom to choose their own path, and that he has control over his own
life. Today, psychologists use the humanistic perspective as a form of psychotherapy

Credit Derivatives in the recent Global Financial Crisis 1.0 Introduction: In the
recent times credit derivatives have become a very popular financial security for
investors. If we take a look at the chart given below we can see how the popularity
of credit derivatives increased in the past decade. The maximum volume of
derivatives was traded during the years 2005 to 2007 of which 2006 was the
highest at $2000bn. Then when the financial crisis occurred at the end of 2007 the
trading decreased rapidly the following two years to as low as $100bn in 2009.

3.0 Why control measures are necessary? From the simple description of what
happened during the financial crisis as mentioned above, it is clear that the use or
rather the overuse of credit derivatives was the major cause of the collapse of the
financial market. The creatively designed derivatives helped to hedge the risks off
parties involved and eventually the party held accountable for the risk would get lost
in all the complexity of each tranche. In May 2010, the Financial Times quoted
Warren Buffett with the following: Derivatives are financial weapons of mass
destruction, carrying dangers that, while now latent, are potentially lethal to the
financial system (Lemer, 2010). This quote nicely reflects the fear of some market
participants and observers that credit derivatives may threaten the stability of the
financial system. The transactions of credit derivatives are not required to be
disclosed by the market participants and this opaqueness in the system can easily lead
to yet another collapse in the financial markets. Furthermore, there is no common
method of documentation and thus control measures are only self regulatory (Ayadi
Behr, 2009). Sometimes government heavily subsidizes the derivative markets
making it easier for anyone to get credit derivatives cheaply. Almost one third of
OTC market trades require no margin or collateral requirements at all. Financial
innovation has a bad reputation at the moment, because exotic derivatives were one of

There are many interesting topics in Criminal Justice that can be discussed and are
relatable to my experience at the Lorain/Medina Community Based Correctional
Facility, but I thought that perhaps one of the most interesting ones to look at is
recidivism in the correctional system. It is also a commonality in other aspects of the
criminal justicesystem. I chose to research the topic of recidivism for many reasons,
one of them is that it relates to my experience because many of the residents I
interacted with this summer had been involved with the system more than one
time and in fact many of them have been through the L/M CBCF s program
multiple times. One of the females who is currently going through the program
had been to the facility five times prior to this one and many of the males have
been through the program at least twice. Many of them also talk about not being
able to stop themselves from relapsing once they are released from the facility and
being through a lot of other rehabilitation and recovery centers. After this discovery
I wanted to explore and research more about recidivism and why it is a common
occurrence for most criminal offenders and what can be done about it. In order to do
this I searched a lot of online databases and examined quite a few academic journals,
articles and other scholarly documents and websites on the topic. I tried to find
information on the success rate of Community Correctionsversus other forms of

Horus was also known as The Truth , The Lamb of God , and The Light. (Aneesh)
Horus and his mother, Isis, hid from Set in Egypt to avoid being killed because of
Horus being Osiris s, the former king and Set s brother, son. While Horus was in
hiding, he taught and helped many people and even had 12 disciples that helped
him in his journey. Horus and Set had many battles and some stories even claim
that every day Horus won the battle against Set seeing as it was daylight and every
night Set won the battle against Horus because it was dark. (Aneesh) Horus was
said to have performed many miracles, which is expected of a religious figure, and
he even walked on water. Additionally, it was stated that Horus was crucified and
was then resurrected 3 days later when he was not found in his burial site. (Vento)
One author even connected the thought of him being the sun by saying, The
resurrection of Horus in large part represents the return of the sun from both its
nightly and annual decent into the darkness. (S) Some of these stories about Horus
most likely seem familiar if someone was of the Christian faith.
