The Apollo Conspiracy
There s an organization called NASA, who s done a significant job of sticking to their story. They say
Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the Moon on July 20, 1969, and set foot on the surface 6
hours later. This same organization claims there were 5 additional missions which successfully landed
on the Moon, and a suspected total of 12 people went for a walk there. According to them, they spent
$24 billion, which is more than $150 billion in inflation adjusted dollars. Their Apollo program
employed 400,000 people, supported by more than 20,000 companies and research institutions.

In Tanner Higgin s article, Making Media Literacy Central to Digital Citizenship, Higgin explains that
new technologies such as, VR headsets, do not make their way into the classroom despite the potential
benefit. However, students and teachers have utilized video in the classroom for many years. Higgin
suggests that students should learn about media literacy in order to become digital savvy citizens, in
doing so, will potentially change the world to become more, thoughtful, inclusive and just. Higgin
provides five steps that will aide in molding media literacy into digital citizenship. As students gain
knowledge and confidence, and encouraged to create video content about issues that matter to them,
they are prepared to challenge any disagreement

The Civil Rights Act of 1964 which led to the ban on segregation in southern states such as in Albany,
Georgia, Birmingham and Selma, Alabama has passed and early in 1965 African Americans were
protesting against voting rights registration. Martin Luther King Jr. plans to coordinate a mass protest

member in SCLC which suggested that the campaign should take place in Selma, Alabama, where an
unsuccessful voter registration drive had been going on for months. In February 1965, Martin Luther

Eric Foner Give Me Liberty
According to Eric Foner in his book Give Me Liberty! , there were major arguments against the
Constitution put forth by the anti federalists. The anti federalists were opponents of ratification who
insisted that the Constitution shifted the balance between liberty and power too far in the direction of
the latter. Basically their main belief was that a too powerful central government is a threat to liberty
and will continue to influence American political culture. Anti federalists were state politicians and
included Samuel Adams, John Hancock, and Patrick Henry. They drew their support from small
farmers in more isolated rural areas such as the Hudson Valley of New York, western Massachusetts,
and the southern backcountry. They repeatedly

The Right To Physician Assisted Suicide
Physician assisted suicide, or PAS, has always been a very controversial topic. This touches upon the
healthcare side of the large spectrum of social problems today in America. An individuals view on this
issue might vary depending on their political ideology. Modern conservatives might not necessarily
agree with physician assisted suicide because of their traditional beliefs and values. Conservatives
might say it is wrong because it goes against the teachings of the bible which states a life is created at
the moment of conception and is always precious. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These states include Vermont, Washington, New Mexico, Montana, and Oregon. Euthanasia is similar
to the practice of physician assisted suicide, except instead of the physician ending the patients life, as
preformed in euthanasia, the patient does it on his or her own. At the patients request, a certified
physician may help a patient end their life pain free and peacefully. This process however can only be
requested by a patient if they are in extreme pain and suffering, and especially if they have a terminal
illness. While gathering and reviewing research I discovered an interesting statistic. According to the
website Edlink an informational site about issues related to PAS which is hosted by Northwestern
University, 57% of physicians practicing today have received a request for physician assisted suicide
in some form or another (Physician Assisted Suicide Introduction). Thats over half of all physicians. I
as a liberal, believe everyone should have the right to physician assisted suicide. Some people in
society claim that PAS is only socially acceptable if a patient is terminally ill or is in painful suffering.
In addition, it is a physicians moral imperative to ease a patients suffering which if the patient
requests, could mean ending their life. The argument of
PAS relies a lot on the patient s respect for themselves, which identifies the rights of capable patient s
to decide how and when their death should occur when they are suffering

The Zika Virus
The Zika virus (ZIKV) is a mosquito borne single stranded RNA virus. It is in the family of
Flaviviridae, genus Flavivirus. This virus causes a mild illness similar to dengue. The first case of
ZIKV was identified in Uganda in 1947. Cases of this virus were rare until 2007 when a major
epidemic happened in Yap Island, Micronesia. Now, epidemics have happened in Polynesia, Easter
Island, the Cook Islands, Brazil, and New Caledonia (Ioos et al., 2014).
During the first week of infection, the virus is in the blood and can be passed from an infected person
to a mosquito. An infected mosquito can then spread the virus to other people. The most common
symptoms of ZIKV are fever, rash, joint pain, or red eyes. Other common symptoms include ... Show

Natural History Museum s Eternal Life In Ancient Egypt
Over the weekend, I chose to examine and analyze the Natural History Museum s exhibit Eternal Life
in Ancient Egypt . The exhibit contained many artifacts and visual representations of what and why
Egyptians performed mummification. Whilst visually entertaining and generally informative, there did
not seem to be a discussion of multiple interpretations on the significance for each object. The
speculative nature of these statements coupled with an often lacking of archaeological evidence
backing up these claims created more questions than answers. However, the exhibit did a great job
describing and informing of the science required for the analysis as well as informative background
explanations for these artifacts. With clear and concise details ... Show more content on

With a mummified boy on display, the exhibit explains that the embalmers preserved the body by
shrouding it in a sheet of linen instead of elaborate layers of fabric strips meaning that this is a
commoner s body (Smithsonian). The captions also state that the placement of the arms and chin on
chest reflect mummification practices from about 2,000 years ago (Smithsonian). Accompanied by
images showing the process of unraveling the boy mummy, this section of the exhibit successfully
explains social hierarchy in Egypt and the mummification procedure in an informative manner. The
exhibit also informs how advances in radiographic imaging allow for scientists to analyze mummies
without damaging their fragile remains or wrappings (Smithsonian). Again, images of the radiographs
and processes of attaining them accompany this statement which contains valuable information since
it is always important to know how the museum and scientists preserve the artifacts whilst gaining

Depression, Suicide And Suicide In Hamlet By William...
Life can be a real pain. Several millions of people end their lives every year. In the article, Depression,
suicide, and deliberate self harm in adolescence, it informs, However...in 1990 the suicide rate for
males aged 15 19 years was 57 per million, (Harrington). Harrington also states that men have a
higher rate in suicide than women. A character with the name of Hamlet, in the play Hamlet, felt the
same way as these boys and men. Once again, the amazing and wonderful William Shakespeare is the
creator of this tragedy. Hamlet was, and still is, one of Shakespeare s greatest hits. In the play, Hamlet
loses his father, for his uncle murders him. Hamlet also becomes devastated due to his mother
remarrying quickly to his uncle. His love life goes down the drain as well, and Hamlet becomes
depressed. In Hamlet, Hamlet speaks three soliloquies, in the first three acts of the plays, each
portraying their own message. In the play, act one, Hamlet wishes he was dead, but cannot kill
himself, which is the main message of this soliloquy. The reason to why he cannot commit, is because
of God. God does not think that it is right for anyone to kill his or her self. Therefore, Hamlet thinks if
he ends his life, that he will be sent straight to hell by God. He also says that life is terrible and that
nothing in life ever becomes better. Hamlet then says, the garden is filled with weeds. Meaning, the
world is not attended, it has several toxins. Hamlet at one point, comes to the

Public Meeting At The City Of Saskatoon Where I Grew Up
Bruno, Saskatchewan, a small town east of Saskatoon where I grew up, is known for its hay farms,

Even though the decision making process was scattered, shared decision making is what was
happening. On one issue they were all clear, quick and on the same page. On the other issues
discussed they were scattered. There was no one leader of the decision; there were multiple leaders for
a discussion at different times. Therefore, as an observer, this was extremely difficult to follow along.
Bruno council did follow shared decision making and a strategic planning approach. Even though they
used the majority of the steps, the discussion could have been more formally approached. However,
you can take into consideration this council represents a small population. The support for this
approach consists of reform minded policy makers and leaders, which is hard to come by in a smaller
community. These individuals that were sitting at the table are knowledgeable individuals. However,
they do not enable the experiences broader sectors do. Even though, Bruno council lacks the broader
spectrum, they do practice one of the most important benefits of policy making, shared learning.
The first thing on the agenda was revising the employee code of conduct and conflict of interest
policy. The administrator asked if everyone read the code of conduct and the policy, some of the
council said no. One councillor then asked what the objection to the policy was. The councillor in
charge of the policy clarified. She brought forth words that should be changed. Therefore,

Dogtown And Z-Boys Analysis
Skateboarding was created as an extension of surfing in 1950 s and 1960 s. This style was viewed as a
graceful sport, but lacked legitimate attention from the public, leading to its inevitable decline in
popularity. Former Zephyr team member, Stacy Peralta showcases the resurrection of skateboarding
by presenting the audience the experiences the Zephyr skateboarding team in his documentary,
Dogtown and Z Boys (2001). The Zephyr team (also known as the Z Boys) were the pioneers of
modern skateboarding. The documentary and film conventions used in Peralta s documentary are

Crusades Turning Point
For this assignment I decided to write about the Crusades. The crusades were a series of religious wars
between Christians, Jews and Muslims. There were 9 different crusades over a 200 year period from
the late 10th century to the late 12th century. The first crusade begin in 1096 and lasted till 1099. The
purpose of the war was to help the Byzantine empire and recapture the Holy Land of Jerusalem back
to the Christians from the Muslims. A group of crusaders massacred Jews in many towns across
modern day west Germany in 1096, this marked an important turning point in the relationship between
the Jews and Christians. Pope Urban II lead the Christian army and Emperor Alexius I controlled the

The Marketing Model Canvas As An Analytical Framework
Critique
Our group has used the Business Model Canvas as an analytical framework to evaluate The Fun
Center and generate recommendations to further improve the delivery of its value proposition. The
Fun Center aims to provide children with an exciting and safe place to have fun by providing an array
of arcade games, food and beverages, and event hosting. We made no changes to the general premise
of the Business Plan, but rather we fine tuned the aspects we felt lacked clarity. The gaps that we
originally identified in the first version of the Business Plan were minor and posed little threat to the
company s overall success. However, we felt that The Fun Center s lack of distinctiveness would limit
the company in terms of potential growth. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Recommendation 1: Market to Children and Parents
Our analysis of the Business Model Canvas has revealed a minor hole in the channels section. We feel
as though the company s business plan failed to account for a very significant customer segment: kids.
Currently, marketing is directed towards arcade enthusiasts and middle to upper class adults. The hope
is that parents will be intrigued by the company s value and bring their children to the arcade.
However, considering that the value proposition seeks to serve children ages 5 12 as a target customer
segment, the Business Model Canvas would suggest that a channel should exist to directly connect
The Fun Center s value to children. In addition to advertising to adults with traditional methods, we
recommend that The Fun Center also market directly to children in order to improve reputation and
garner more interest. For example, advertising The Fun Center on children s shows and radio stations
will communicate to children in ways that are already familiar and comfortable to them. According to
small business advice from Hearst newspapers, it would cost 200 to 1,500 dollar to commercially
advertise The Fun Center on a local station, a small investment for a large long term benefit (Wagner,
2015). In in the same way they react to new toys and cereal, they will ask their parents to bring them

Internal Medicine Admission Essay Sample
There are moments in life that hold you to a higher standard. Amid the practiced perfection with
which we navigate the majority of tasks, there are times that demand and draw on abilities that we
were yet to realize. It is in both music and medicine that I have discovered this challenge. My love for
internal medicine began in its consistent need for adaptability. Just as the change in one note can alter
the tone of a musical piece, similarly, one pertinent piece of information can shift the diagnosis
entirely and it is through the interpretation of these subtle clues that my interest in the diagnostic
process arose.
My preparation for any musical event always begins with emulation. I find myself listening repeatedly

extends beyond scaling an academic summit.
My interactions with the medical team, ancillary staff, and my patients have made me realize that I
have a disposition suited to a career in the field of Internal Medicine. Having moved 10 times by the

of my ability to adapt cross culturally in new and challenging environments.
In my brief experience, I have found that internal medicine is a division where the onus of moving

approachable nature, a thoughtful demeanor and an even temperament, qualities which I believe I
have. I seek to become a skillful physician and a committed educator. I aspire to surprise myself and

Price: As outlined above, given the firm itself doesn t produce a tangible product the pricing of its

key strengths as it cleverly positions itself in accessible areas near to its target market. As well as

The Start Of Hip Hop
The start of hip hop began as creative lyrics. Young urban youth expressing themselves creatively
through rhymes spoken to music. A time when groups gathered and had a good time with no fear of
violence erupting. However as hip hop evolved, the lyrics changed and it began to take a turn for the
worse. The lyrics are no longer a positive outlet to express the problems the youth face, it is no longer
a compelling distraction from the turmoil of inner city life (Green 47). Rap has a huge following
among youth no matter their socio economic background. Rap can and has influenced America s
cultures in a lot of ways. The lyrics of some rap songs are very controversial and can contain some
very vulgar language and attitudes. Even though hip hop began as an outlet for urban youth to voice
their opinions about the world they experienced, its artist s choice of words have become so explicit in
such a way that it has begun to have the following effects on today s youth: violence, alcohol abuse,
drug use, and sexual behavior. Artists rap about street violence associated with gangs. Just several
days ago, the Los Angeles Times, reported that a rapper was being charged with encouraging and
promoting a shooting through his music (Perry). There is a glorified persona that living the street life
is reality. It is appealing to have street creditability. Those from tough communities must send the
notion that he or she is always ready for violence if necessary. The words to

Persia And Greeks Compare And Contrast
Greece, which lasted from 480 BCE to 323 BCE and Persia, which stood standing from 550 BCE to
330 BCE, were two empires that flourished for centuries. Although they both had victorious moments
throughout their existence, they were constantly in battle with each other. These wars lasted for
hundreds of years. The casualties were plentiful but these fights often helped their cultures spread
throughout the lands. Even though Greece and Persia had contrasting religious beliefs and social
rankings, they both thought the powerful tasks belonged to the men, not women. The Greeks and
Persians had different religious views. The Greeks were polytheistic, as they believed in more than
one god; the Persians were monotheistic and followed Zoroastrianism. The Greeks ... Show more

This made the Greeks feel closer with the gods since the gods took lives as well. Other times, the
Greeks would just offer petite cakes or cups of wine. Lastly, when the Greeks wanted advice or to
know information about the future, they would visit oracle soracles; holy places where humans could
interact with the gods. The most popular oracle was that of Apollo in Delphi. People would bring
presents to Apollo and he would answer their questions through a separate female, the Pythia. The
Greeks would use this chance to communicate with the gods to prepare for the future. On the other
hand, the Persians followed a single god, Ahuramazda the god of Zoroastrianism. The specific
birthplace of this religion is a bit unclear; but since the founder, Zoroaster, was from the eastern part of
Iran, we can guess that this is where it all started. Zoroaster believed that Ahuramazda, also known as
the wise lord , made the world we all know. But this god was intimidated by Angra Mainyu, the
hostile spirit and his fellow demons. These two fight it out for over 12,000 years and as a result, the

How Does Madeleine L Engle Use Symbols In A Wrinkle In Time
A Wrinkle in Time lives on to be a timeless classic suspense novel for young adults today. Although
school curriculums berate it for L Engle s afflictions with Christian theology; which are especially
prominent in this novel, her emotional family values, and ethical responsibilities stand out for a bigger
impact on the reader. Madeleine L Engle writes with a style that makes the reader ponder her use
behind objects, characters, and dialogue. Her subjective symbolism puts a more meaningful reason to
her story, and can discovered throughout the entire plot. Examples of symbolism surface through
physical objects such as Mrs. Who s spectacles, to emotional feelings of love and hate, and even to
general themes brought about of light triumphing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The spectacles symbolize a way of understanding and perceiving the world without instinctual
judgment. There is another part physical objects show symbolism behind them. Charles Wallace is
taken over by the control of IT, but Meg can still read the decency behind his evil behavior. Although
his actions are not at all like his normality, his blue eyes, which retained normality, symbolize
goodness and hope and let her know he is still there. L Engle uses emotional feelings throughout the
characters, not only to portray compassion for the them, but also to symbolize deeper meaning. Meg s
love to save her family has more meaning to it than her willingness. Her love differs immensely with
the emotion of IT s hate. Every time she feels hate towards IT or others such as her father, she
becomes weaker. It is her hatred that allows IT to take over her mind. She finds out the ability to love
against the forces of hate, allows her to succeed and defeat IT. When the family reunites in the end, it
is a reminder of the strong forces love has on us that L Engle believes can strengthen and congregate
society. Meg also is disturbed by the way people are controlled on the planet of Comazotz. She notices
the normality of everyone, ...there was also a sameness to them. Like the sameness of people riding in
a subway, (L Engle 110) and is upset with their exactness. She later is even talking to Calvin about

Albee and Williams Use of Virility in Their Plays Essay
The sexual dominance of male characters over their female counterparts in the plays establishes their
superiority and control. Both playwrights suggest that a degree of personal status is acquired by
sexually dominate women. The rape scene shows Stanley s use of power sexually through rage and
strength, used to illustrate his final defeat of Blanche and establish himself as King of his territory,
limited to expressing basic desire . Since earliest manhood... his life has been pleasure with women...
giving and taking of it... with power and pride . It is a power he can achieve over women that they

Williams uses the men s clothing to portray power, a statement which contrasts to Blanche s delicate
white clothing. [Stanley, Steve, Mitch, and Pablo wear colored shirts, solid blues, a purple, a red and
white check, a light green, and they are men at the peak of their physical manhood, as coarse and
direct and powerful as the primary colors.] . This description allows the image of the men to be
presented as vivid and virile. Both playwrights suggest that physical and sexual dominance over
women leads to an improved perception and status of men.
George s power over Martha is not evident until the end of the play when he kills their child. George
says, We got a telegram; there was a car accident, and he s dead. POUF! Followed by Martha s reply
(A howl... weakens into a moan) NOOOOOOoooooo . By killing their son he kills the illusion which
gives Martha her maternal role, and she effectively loses the battle. By killing the son, George gains
power after Martha s fling with Nick, while the... two of you were out of the room... I mean, I don t

who was so ashamed of his father he asked me... that he was not our child; who could not tolerate the
shabby failings his father had become . At the end of the play the battle for power is won by George,
and his virility is restored as he takes her to bed . Her stumbled simple sentences show the

Impact of Marketing Mix on Brand Reputation of Nokia and...
1.0 Introduction (Abstract)
Today, company s real value lies outside the business itself, in the minds of potential buyers (Kapferer,
1992, p. 9). This is reflected in the value of brands, which are the anchors of company s value.
Products are introduced, they live and disappear but brands endure (Kapferer, 1992, p. 17). The term
``brand holds multiple meanings. According to John Murphy, founder of Inter brand (Ingham, 2003), a
brand is not only an actual product, but also the unique property of a specific owner. Brands are
increasingly considered to be the primary capital in many businesses (Ourusoff, 1993, p. 81). The

Espalier Training
Espalier is the art of training a tree or shrub to grow so that its trunk and branches grow flat against a
support, such a trellis, fence or wall. Fruit trees, such as apples, pears and figs are often grown in this
fashion, as are ornamental tree and shrubs.
Espalier training is idea for homeowners who have limited space, or as a method of marking boundary
lines. Success with espalier pruning and training depends greatly on the care of the tree and providing
the proper support.
Choosing Trees
Those new to espalier can benefit from buying trees with a framework of branches already shaped and
formed by professionals. If you wish to espalier fruit trees, always choose those grown on dwarfing
root stock. Dwarf root stock fruit trees only grow up to 10 feet tall, making them well suited to
espalier training. Ornamental trees and shrubs worth growing as espalier include forsythias, magnolia
grandiflora, yews, viburnums, and jasminums. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Plant trees 6 to 10 inches from the support, and choose two strong branches to begin shaping; cut off
all other shoots and cut the main branch, or leader, to just above the bottom wire.
It can take up to four years of training and pruning to create a good looking design. During the
growing season, gradually tighten ties so that the branches are drawn horizontally against the fence. At
this time the leader sprouts; when the new sprout is long enough, tie it to the second wire.
During the dormant season, prune back the leader to the second wire, and choose two strong branches
to create the second tier, removing any competing shoots. As the tree grows, you will repeat this
process for each tier, keeping the leader upright and attached to a wire as it grows. When the leader
reaches the top of the support, cut it back to just about the top branch.

The Importance Of Music In The Socialization Of Children...
Music plays and important role in the socialization of children and adolescents. Music is ubiquitous
and easily available, whether through the radio, social media or other media outlets. It provides
entertainment, and is often utilized as a distraction to relieve stress or boredom. However, as lyrics
become more vulgar and explicit, the effect that certain genres of music, such as rap, hip hop and
heavy metal, have on youth, has become of paramount concern. Research has been conducted on
whether a child s or teenager s preference in those types of music could be correlated with negative
behaviors. Delinquent behaviors of youth who listen to those genres of music are often attributed to
the music itself, rather than how the child current mental or emotional state. Parents, unfortunately, are
often unaware of their child s musical habits. Therefore, when a child exhibits any type of negative
behavior, the parent frequently tries to conjure a reason for this misbehavior; More often than not,
when there is not a reasonable cause to the delinquency, many parents blame the particular genre of
music that their child listens to. This attributes to the negative connotation that is often associated with
heavy metal, rap and hip hop music. All genres of music are a form of expression meant to entertain
certain audiences: not to be negatively thought of, because of how certain people react to it. In order to

them a desirable alternative to the persistent organochloride pesticides. Many of organophosphate

JH acts as hormones that manipulate the type of molt that a juvenile insect will go through. With the
presence of JH, Ecdysone triggers larva to larva molts. On the contrary, the ecdysone will supports the

such as methroprene and pyriproxyfen are insecticides that disturb the standard amount of juvenile

A very long time ago, being deaf was looked upon as undesirable and individuals were disconnected
from the rest of the community. The were considered to be freaks and thought to be incapable of being
educated, deaf and dumb. They were left to live a life in isolation, not only from sound, but from
society as well. Today, we see these individuals through a different lens. Their struggles throughout
history have been many and they have continued to open our eyes and show the world that being deaf

Genes are like road maps for various proteins, which are the building blocks of the body. Every person
will inherit half of their genes from their mother and the other half from their father. This includes
healthy genes and genes that might be defective and cause a health disorder such as hearing loss.
Defective genes can be inherited from one parent, or both parents. If the possibility of passing along
defective genes is an issue, couples might seek genetic counseling where informed decisions can be
made pertaining to medical, psychological, and support groups. For some parents to be where the
possibility of having a deaf child is a concern, counseling can be beneficial. Typically, genetic

Gender Stereotypes in Othello Essay
Stereotypes are commonly held generalized beliefs that most or all individuals sharing a given trait
also should or do share other attributes assumed to be associated with aspects such as race, religion,
and physical attribute. While stereotypes can erroneously shape people s views of others, they can also
influence the stereotyped individuals behavior as people often attempt to conform to these flawed
images, especially in regards to gender stereotypes. Shakespeare s great play Othello uses its main
characters to embody the characteristics of the stereotypical females and males according to society s
liking. The stereotypical woman is loyal and faithful to her husband, while the male stereotype

Shakespeare mocks society s extreme measures by suggesting death as the sole option for Othello
when he fails to understand that Desdemona may not fit female stereotypes. Without the ability to
label her, Othello fails to assert Desdemona s chastity and corruptibility simultaneously and murders
Desdemona to redeem her from degradation (Neely). The characters, like many people, struggle to
alter views that have been so firmly pressed into their minds. In this way, Shakespeare negatively
comments on humans inabilities to see beyond what society tells them and to comprehend truths
unique to a specific person rather than his gender roles. Shakespeare uses the characters Desdemona
and Othello to display how people become accustomed to the gender identities that society defines for
them. Therefore, both characters, as depicted by their deaths, fail to understand each other personally
as individuals instead of as the stereotypical man or woman that is being presented.
Although misperceptions about the other gender are dangerous causes of downfall, flawed views
among one s own gender are also great contributors to destruction. Othello and Desdemona best
exemplify this notion. Desdemona presents herself as pure, compassionate, and understanding towards
everyone, especially Othello. Shakespeare theorizes on how some women believe the stereotype about
females is valid and must be followed, and men can exhibit the same

All businesses are affected by national and global economic factors. National and global interest rate
and fiscal policy will be set around economic conditions. The climate of the economy dictates how
consumers, suppliers and other organizational stakeholders such as suppliers and creditors behave
within society.
An economy undergoing recession will have high unemployment, low spending power and low
stakeholder confidence. Conversely a booming or growing economy will have low unemployment,
high spending power and high stakeholder confidence.
A successful organization will respond to economic conditions and stakeholder behavior. Furthermore
organisations will need to review the impact economic conditions are having on their competitors and
respond accordingly.
In this global business world organisations are affected by economies throughout the world and not
just the countries in which they are based or operate from. For example: a global credit crunch
originating in the USA contributed towards the credit crunch in the UK in 2007/08.
Cheaper labour in developing countries affects the competitiveness of products from developed
countries. An increase in interest rates in the USA will affect the share price of UK stocks or adverse
weather conditions in India may affect the price of tea bought in an English café.

Background/Context Paragraph
How cool would it be to own a exotic pet, like a monkey! As stated by i.life.science.com, between
5,000 and 7,000 tigers are kept as pets. That s more than the amount in the wild, being only 3,200.
WOW! Additionally, monkeys are also very popular pets, the National Geographic article titled The
Perils of Keeping Monkey as Pets , states that about 15,000 primates are kept as pets in the USA.
There are many different types of exotic pets kept worldwide.
Chimps and monkeys are very similar animals, yet they are also very different. Chimpanzees are
considered great apes. Great Apes tend to generaly have bigger brains and bodies than monkeys.
Chimps are more related to humans then monkeys They are similar when it comes to being primates.
Today we will be discussing both chimpanzees and monkeys as pets. Although, we will mostly be
talking about monkeys!
Most monkeys kept as pets are pulled from their mothers and taken in by breeders, zoos, and other
animal selling locations. The monkeys are very young when they are taken in. They are eventually put
up for sale and bought once they reach an ideal age. Jay Weston from Huffpost LA who owned two
monkeys says, No, I do not recommend anyone ever to keep a monkey as a pet.

The Play Of The Diary Of Anne Frank Analysis
Hiding in the holocaust was a horrible thing. If you had too, do you think you would survive?
Although it was horrific, one Jewish girl, Anne Frank said, In spite of everything, I still believe people
are really good at heart. Anne never lost hope. She never just looked at the negative in all things. She

Firstly, she argues that UNESCO disproving scientific validity of race in fact ignores the history of

Furthermore, she argues that Canada s official multiculturalism policy was enacted as a solution to the
crisis of whiteness that had emerged in the post war era. It reconstitutes reconstituting whiteness as a
culturally tolerant cosmopolitan whiteness, thus leading to the erasure of Canada s colonial and
imperialist history. She also maintains that the policy categorizes people of colour culturally and has
thus led to the reconfiguration of race as culture and cultural identity to the extent that minorities
reproduce their own classification according to culturalism terms. She criticizes multiculturalism for
the othering of immigrants in relation to the dominant white nationalist identity as well as for

The Swimmer John Cheever
In John Cheever s short story, The Swimmer he conveys the transformation of the character through
the use of setting. The story begins in the suburbs of Neddy Merill s neighborhood. After a night of
partying and drinking, Neddy the main character seems optimistic, he has a perfect family, a high
social status, and not many problems going on in his life. He feels young and energetic therefore
decides to swim across town through backyard neighborhood pools. However, his journey becomes
less fun as the day grow goes on. The water becomes dirty, uninviting and Neddy becomes tired. The
times when Neddy is in and out of the pool also represents the emotions he is going through. For
example, when Neddy is not swimming, he tends to depressed ... Show more content on

One way that Cheever did an excellent job was the way he never mentioned what time of day it was.
For example, the first time Neddy almost headed home Cheever says, ...he wondered what time it had
gotten to be. Four? Five? Or when he was trying to remember when he last saw the Welchers, he
thinks to himself it seemed only a week or so ago. We can see here that it also seems as if Neddy is
getting older because words such as lame and ached show Neddy s change from his prior state to a
weaker one. This confusion of time, was clever in that he showed the reader that Neddy was losing
track of time but never lets the reader find out that the time frame is much longer than it seems.
Cheever gives us clues throughout the rest of the story that more time has actually passed. For
example, later in his journey Neddy smells wood smoke and wonders why anyone would be burning
wood during this time of year, and later at the Sachses when he asks for a drink to pick him up , he is
informed that the Sachses have not had anything to drink since Mr. Sachs surgery, which was three

How Breast Cancer Has Changed My Life
The environment in which you live in will greatly impact your life; People, however, are all impacted
differently. Personally, I know that my life has been changed by many different events throughout my
life. Some events can go unnoticed while some are impossible to miss. Looking back at my life I can
find many events that pushed me in the direction I am traveling in now but one event has changed my
life forever. The death of my aunt Nadia was the most important event in my life and it both made me
who I am today and who I will be in the future. Breast cancer is the development of cancerous tumors
that form in the cells of the breasts. Thirteen years ago, my aunt was one of the victims diagnosed with
stage IV breast cancer. Unfortunately, the disease took her life away and our family, like many others,
fell into the statistics of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I was filled with pain, devastation, fear, but also curiosity. I have my entire life, been very interested in
science and medicine. However, this tragic event in my life influenced me the most to pursue a career
in the medical field and become a Cardiothoracic Surgeon. Ever since that day I have gained a strong
desire to acquire knowledge about cancer and many other diseases. After she passed away, at first, I
was only interested in finding a cure for cancer and had only a very narrow view of the science field.
As I entered high school and really began to explore different sciences I found that becoming a doctor
will allow me to not only try to find a cure but to help many other people afflicted with many other
diseases. With my new found sense of direction, I started to deeply explore everything to do with the
medical field. I entered a program at Holy Cross Hospital called The Medical Explorers Program
where the participants learned about careers in the Health Field

Supply Chain Task 2

Task 2
A.
1. As I began my journey as a new business owner of a computer company I needed to define my
company s goals, decide which direction I wanted to take the company to and create a mission
statement that will best represent my company. Since the company was new I needed to come up with
something catchy and promising that would invite potential clients to find out more about the products
we offer. Since there were more participants in this game and from my professional experience I
learned that staying on the same path and making advancements is more beneficial than trying to
change directions every time. In this case I remained focused on the same two groups for the

My last choice was South America even though the expenses were not as high but it is less demanding
since the poverty is significantly high. As expected, choosing my locations in this order was a success.
4. Marketing research could definitely be improved since I was not as successful as I was hoping to
be. Most of my business was coming from direct sales and not as much from other advertising. I did
not want to invest large amounts of money on the popular magazines since the fee was very high and I
was concentrating on more common papers such as Science Magazines and business papers. Maybe I
should have been more adventurous and invest in more popular magazines but I was afraid that I
would suffer financially. Also I was not able to come up with a very catchy advertising line to attract
potential clients and was scoring somewhat low on the advertising review.
B. One of the most important decisions I made was to invest in international markets. Since Mercedes
is from Germany and its factories are in the US I felt as investing in a European market would be a
good idea simply because I come from Europe and I know that Mercedes is in demand as well as there
are a lot of companies in need of a highly developed machine that can make their discoveries and
creations a lot easier. I was a little hesitant about opening offices in Tokyo since their technology is
very advanced and cost is very high. But because of that I decided to stand with competition face

They say Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the Moon on July 20, 1969, and set foot on the surface 6 hours later. The anti federalists were opponents of ratification who insisted that the Constitution shifted the balance between liberty and power too far in the direction of the latter. Basically their main belief was that a too powerful central government is a threat to liberty and will continue to influence American political culture. The Right Of Physician Assisted Suicide The Right to Physicians Assisted Suicide Brittany Micceri Dominican College Dr. Bonk November 15, 2015 The Right To Physician Assisted Suicide Physician assisted suicide, or PAS, has always been a very controversial topic. This touches upon the healthcare side of the large spectrum of social problems today in America. An individuals view on this issue might vary depending on their political ideology. Modern conservatives might not necessarily agree with physician assisted suicide because of their traditional beliefs and values. Conservatives might say it is wrong because it goes against the teachings of the bible which states a life is created at the moment of conception and is always precious. ... Euthanasia is similar to the practice of physician assisted suicide, except instead of the physician ending the patients life, as preformed in euthanasia, the patient does it on his or her own. At the patients request, a certified physician may help a patient end their life pain free and peacefully. This process however can only be requested by a patient if they are in extreme pain and suffering, and especially if they have a terminal illness. While gathering and reviewing research I discovered an interesting statistic. According to the website Edlink an informational site about issues related to PAS which is hosted by Northwestern University, 57% of physicians practicing today have received a request for physician assisted suicide in some form or another (Physician Assisted Suicide Introduction). Thats over half of all physicians. I as a liberal, believe everyone should have the right to physician assisted suicide. Some people in society claim that PAS is only socially acceptable if a patient is terminally ill or is in painful suffering. In addition, it is a physicians moral imperative to ease a patients suffering which if the patient requests, could mean ending their life. The argument of PAS relies a lot on the patient s respect for themselves, which identifies the rights of capable patient s to decide how and when their death should occur when they are suffering ... The exhibit contained many artifacts and visual representations of what and why Egyptians performed mummification. Albemarle Terrace is filled with English Georgian revival row cottages; each with a distinctive paint scheme that indicated this neighborhood was filled with history. The neighborhood is home to several historic and cultural landmarks. The main campus of the Brooklyn College, considered to be the best looking campus in the borough, is located in south central Flatbush. The 96 acre Holy Cross Cemetery, founded in 1849, is located in north central Flatbush, which is at the exact geographical center of Kings County. The Erasmus Hall High School, founded in 1903, is located on Flatbush Avenue just south of Church Avenue. The school s founders included Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr, and its long list of alumni includes such notables as Neil Diamond, Joseph Barbera, Bobby Fischer, Barbra Streisand, Mae West, and dozens of others. • 12. Depression, Suicide And Suicide In Hamlet By William... Life can be a real pain. Several millions of people end their lives every year. In the article, Depression, suicide, and deliberate self harm in adolescence, it informs, However...in 1990 the suicide rate for males aged 15 19 years was 57 per million, (Harrington). Harrington also states that men have a higher rate in suicide than women. A character with the name of Hamlet, in the play Hamlet, felt the same way as these boys and men. Once again, the amazing and wonderful William Shakespeare is the creator of this tragedy. Hamlet was, and still is, one of Shakespeare s greatest hits. In the play, Hamlet loses his father, for his uncle murders him. Hamlet also becomes devastated due to his mother remarrying quickly to his uncle. His love life goes down the drain as well, and Hamlet becomes depressed. In Hamlet, Hamlet speaks three soliloquies, in the first three acts of the plays, each portraying their own message. In the play, act one, Hamlet wishes he was dead, but cannot kill himself, which is the main message of this soliloquy. The reason to why he cannot commit, is because of God. God does not think that it is right for anyone to kill his or her self. Therefore, Hamlet thinks if he ends his life, that he will be sent straight to hell by God. He also says that life is terrible and that nothing in life ever becomes better. Hamlet then says, the garden is filled with weeds. Meaning, the world is not attended, it has several toxins. Gender Stereotypes in Othello Essay Stereotypes are commonly held generalized beliefs that most or all individuals sharing a given trait also should or do share other attributes assumed to be associated with aspects such as race, religion, and physical attribute. While stereotypes can erroneously shape people s views of others, they can also influence the stereotyped individuals behavior as people often attempt to conform to these flawed images, especially in regards to gender stereotypes. Shakespeare s great play Othello uses its main characters to embody the characteristics of the stereotypical females and males according to society s liking. The stereotypical woman is loyal and faithful to her husband, while the male stereotype possesses strength, control, and dominance. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Shakespeare mocks society s extreme measures by suggesting death as the sole option for Othello when he fails to understand that Desdemona may not fit female stereotypes. Without the ability to label her, Othello fails to assert Desdemona s chastity and corruptibility simultaneously and murders Desdemona to redeem her from degradation (Neely). The characters, like many people, struggle to alter views that have been so firmly pressed into their minds. In this way, Shakespeare negatively comments on humans inabilities to see beyond what society tells them and to comprehend truths unique to a specific person rather than his gender roles. Shakespeare uses the characters Desdemona and Othello to display how people become accustomed to the gender identities that society defines for them. Therefore, both characters, as depicted by their deaths, fail to understand each other personally as individuals instead of as the stereotypical man or woman that is being presented. Although misperceptions about the other gender are dangerous causes of downfall, flawed views among one s own gender are also great contributors to destruction. Othello and Desdemona best exemplify this notion. Desdemona presents herself as pure, compassionate, and understanding towards everyone, especially Othello. Shakespeare theorizes on how some women believe the stereotype about females is valid and must be followed, and men can exhibit the same ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In The Beautiful Faces Of My Black People Analysis In Replacing Race , Historicizing Culture in Multiculturalism, Alana Lentin studies the history of how the term race has come to be replaced by the term culture in the aftermath of the Holocaust, as a means to eliminate racism. Firstly, she argues that UNESCO disproving scientific validity of race in fact ignores the history of colonialism as well as the effects of racism on the state and politics. As a result, this characterizes institutionalized racism as the paranoia of minorities or the extreme left (388). Secondly, she maintains that replacing race with culture ...
