Cordless Screwdrver Research Paper
How to drill a pilot hole with a cordless screwdriver
What estimate do boring apparatus I require?
The measure of boring apparatus you need will rely upon the extent of the screw you need to
embed. A decent general guideline is to choose a boring tool that is somewhat littler than the width
of the screw s string. Along these lines, the boring apparatus will evacuate enough material to avert
part, however, will leave enough for the screw s strings to nibble into when its determined in.
You can check the sizes by holding the boring tool before the screw, and watch that the screw s
shank is no thicker. Cordless screwdrivers all have hexagonal tosses, so guarantee you select a
boring tool with a hexagonal shank.

Resolving Conflicts in A Raisin In The Sun A mother is the heart of every home. Mothers try to
maintain order within a household while encouraging creativity and idealism. In the play A Raisin
In The Sun, Mother understands that her children need to form and strengthen their beliefs as they
come to realize their personal aspirations. She is the head of the family around whom the conflicts
arise and are resolved. After the death of her husband, Mother struggles to keep her family together
by providing the support and guidance they need, and encouraging them to use good judgment and

Introduction
According to Army Doctrine Reference Publication (ADRP) 6 22, leadership is the process of
influencing people by providing purpose, direction, and motivation to accomplish the mission and
improve the organization . This essay will analyze two different leaders, William Wallace from
Braveheart and Ahmad ibn Fadlan from The 13th Warrior. After analyzing each leader, this essay
will transition to compare the leadership lessons, concepts, perspectives, and styles I observed.

However, Robert Bruce XVI, XVII, and Scottish Nobles want to settle the war diplomatically for
personnel benefits and later betray Wallace. This betrayal leads to Wallace s capture where he is
tortured and publically executed. Prior to his execution, Wallace departs the world with one last
word FREEDOM ! This word single word coupled with Wallace s inspiration and passion reunites
the Scottish Nobles, Robert Bruce XVII, and the Scottish clans to take up arms as a united front
against the English to, later, gain their independence in 1314.
Why Braveheart?
Braveheart and the character William Wallace explain how courage, passion, and inspiration can
motivate people to unite against a common threat even when the odds of success are low.
Additionally, the story of William Wallace illustrates how leadership traits can have a long lasting
effect. William Wallace stays true to his beliefs with such dedication that even under the pressure
of torture; he is capable of motivating his fellow Scotsmen to fight for freedom after his death.
This is true leadership! Anyone that can inspire a following after death has reached the highest tier
of leadership. This is the epitome of a leader. Now this essay will transition to the background of a
different type of leader, Ahmad ibn Fadlan from the motion picture, The 13th Warrior.

The principal idea of this theory is the capacity of the companies to adapt, reconfigure as such, as
reintegrate internal and external skills, competencies and resources in reaction to the changes in a

Tics And Tourette Syndrome
TIC Dsorders: Tics or spasm like movements of particular muscles, often affect face and the eyelids.
These are unvoluntary movements, but the person with tic is maybe able to suppress the actions
shortly. Although, the suppression results in discomfort that grows until it is relieved by
performing again that tic.
Tics are often made of multiple continuous occurrences of the same action. For instance, a tic of
blinking eyes multiple times or twitching nose repeatedly; the vocal tics are like throat clearing,
coughing, and sniffing.
Motor tics can be classified as either simple or complex. Simple motor tics may include movements
such as shoulder shrugging, eye blinking, nose twitching, and head jerking. Complex motor tics
are series of movements performed in the same order. For instance a person might kick out with
one leg and then the other. No one knows exactly what causes tics to occur. Stress might be one of
the triggers. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Individuals with chronic Tic disorder have either motor tics or vocal tics that have been present for
more than a year, and individuals with Provisional Tic Disorder have tics that have been present
for less than a year.
Medications could used to reduce motor tics or vocal tics caused by Tourette syndrome. For
example pimozide is a medication that works by decreasing the activity of dopamine in the brain.
In many instances, no treatment is needed, tics could resolve automatically; in other cases

Queen Matilda Of England And The Marriage Table A Dowry Of...
Queen Matilda of England brought to the marriage table a dowry of estates. While, she did not
grant William great wealth, she did possess great wealth of her own. Roughly one fourth of the
wealth of Matilda and William belonged to Matilda. She presented her husband with the ship the
Mora as a symbol of her approval of his conquest of England. Matilda, being well educated and
capable, served as regent of Normandy while her husband was away in England. Matilda made the
journey to England in 1068 where she was crowned Queen of England. Matilda, like many queens
of her time, actively participated in government. Roughly one hundred charters bear Matilda s
name, suggesting that she occasionally maintained full responsibility of Normandy in her husband
s absence. Matilda became a wealthy landowner in England, where she held lands in the counties
of Surrey, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall, Buckinghamshire, and Gloucestershire.
She maintained contact with her family in Flanders and even provided William with Flemish men
for his army. She was also a key player in King William s rule of England, hearing land pleas and
negotiating with nobles. Matilda played a lesser role in foreign politics than her husband. She did,
however, maintain contacts with the Church. She sent gifts to French abbots and German hermits
along with open contact with Pope Gregory VII. PopeGregory VII encouraged Matilda to bring her
husband closer to the church where the Pope s could keep a

Peter The Great Influence On Russian Government
Russian Government (Early Modern Age)
The government ruled through the Romanov Dynasty, and the GREATEST rulers were Peter the
GREAT and Catherine the GREAT (ha, see what I did there...)
Peter the Great

Use of MIlitary/ Boyars:
As an autocrat, Peter the Great harshly put down rebellions and also created a secret police to help
maintain order. Peter built Russia s first navy with the help of western European countries. Peter
waged wars against the Ottoman Empire, turning out to be mainly unsuccessful. There was also a
Great War with Sweden. With these wars came Peter s prospect of expanding his empire through
the acquisition of new territory and access to the Baltic Sea.

But Peter censored certain western ideals that would threaten his power as a tsar such as the
Enlightenment and the idea of a Parliamentarian government.
Labor:
Another Western idea that didn t make its way to Russia was paid labor Russia was still
implementing the system of serfdom, so extreme that it could barely be distinguished with
slavery... serfs could be bought and sold, and there were often horrible working conditions due to
the landowners increasing powers over serfs. It was impossible to escape serfdom as it was a
hereditary status. Peter didn t implement any changes in labor, despite Western change of serfdom
to paid labor.
Arts:
Peter encouraged learning and education. When St. Petersburg was built, the capitol was moved

America in the 1920 s
America in the 1920s, also known as the Roaring 20s or New Era, was a time of great changes
and huge growth. America was being a more modern nation, and a return to normalcy was being
seen after the Progressive Movement and First World War. Politically, the American government
was seemingly conservative, but experimented with different approaches to public policy and
foreign diplomatic policy. Economically, it was a time of tremendous growth and new forms of
organization. Socially, the American popular culture reshaped itself to reflect the increasingly
industrial, urban, and consumer oriented society. The 20s were a time of a distinguishably new
culture and profound change and excitement, but it wasn t great for everybody. After 1922, there
was a long period of prosperity and economic expansion. People had more money to spend, and
prices weren t rising very much. The key to the economic boom was new technology. The
automobile industry was one of the most important industries in the nation, and led to stimulated
growth in other industries, such as steel, rubber, glass, and especially oil companies. Road
construction booms in response to automobiles, providing more jobs for workers and helping the
economy even more. The radio comes about in the early 20s and becomes a popular form of
entertainment and leads the creation the National Broadcasting Company, or NBC. As a result, the
nation becomes more connected. Commercial aviation develops and planes are used to deliver mail

What causes a bacterial cell to run versus tumble?
Chemotaxis (chemical signal) and phototaxis (light stimulus) stimulate the flagellation to rotate
counterclockwise (run) or clockwise (tumble).
6. Compare the cell envelopes of gram positive and gram negative bacteria.
a. What function does peptidoglycan serve?
The peptidoglycan provides support to the cells structure.
b. Give a simple description of its structure.
It has a repeating framework of long glycan chains cross linked by amino acids. c. What happens to
the cell that has its peptidoglycan disrupted or removed? The cell will no longer have a structural
/protective support causing it to rupture from internal pressure.
7. List several functions for the outer membrane in gram negative bacteria. What is the chemical
composition of the outer membrane?
It has a lipid portion: can act as a toxin when released during an infection.
It may function as receptors and blocking immune responses.
It is also composed of poring proteins: can regulate molecules entering or leaving the cell.

Meniscus Trauma
One of the most common injuries that can occur in a person s life is an injury to the meniscus.
The meniscus is a vital part of cartilage located between the bones of the knee. It helps with
stability, mobility and also cushions the knee. There are several menisci within the knee and this
along with the variety of motions and impacts that can occur to one s kneeare what cause the
likelihood of injuryto increase dramatically. The various types of tears require different kinds of
rehabilitation. Some of these tears may require surgery. By understanding the injury and different
types of treatment options, an injured person will have a better chance at a full recovery.

The at home treatment, R.I.C.E., is recommended with minor tears. R.I.C.E is the acronym for
rest, ice, compress, and elevate. Rest means not to overuse the injured area; keep the knee
mobile, but cut down on its use. Ice means to ice the injured area for ten minutes and then ten
minutes off several times, and repeat this pattern three times a day; these numbers may change
depending on your doctor. Compression helps diminish swelling of the injured area. Keep the
injured area firmly compressed with a wrap or compression band and make sure it is not too
tight because this will restrict blood flow and slow the healing process. The tightness of the
compress should limit expansion and not cause severe compression. The knee should be
elevated at least twice a day. Raise the injured area above the heart. In the knee, this is easily
done by lying down on your back and raising your leg. Anti inflammatory medications such as
ibuprophin, advil, motrin and naproxen may be recommended, but ask your doctor before using
any medications. For more serious tears, such as moderate to large tears in the red zone ,
surgery will be a likely solution. This surgery is called a meniscectomy . This is where the
doctor will remove the entire injured meniscus. For tears that spread from the red zone to the
inner two thirds of the meniscus, surgery may not help. Another option is a partial meniscectomy.
This surgery is where only a part of the meniscus is removed. Talking with your doctor will be the
deciding factor. Decisions will be made based on the meniscus ability to heal as well as the patient

Literary Theme Of Self Identity Essay
In Harper Lee s To Kill a Mockingbird, Lee writes, before I can live with other folks I ve got to live
with myself. The one thing that doesn t abide by majority rule is a person s conscience (Lee, 108).
As displayed in To Kill a Mockingbird and many others, the literary theme of selfidentitycoupled
with coming of age has been a long running one in the history of literature. Certainly, we find this
theme in novels such as Between Tides and Shadows of Your Black Memory, respectively. The
development of character and self identity is vital in the analysis of each protagonist. Between
Tides follows Pierre Landu, a black Catholic Priestand revolutionist, on a journey to right his
wrongs through rigorous self examination. Pierre, having rejected his African ancestry during
adolescence, in attempts to integrate into the Catholic Priesthood finds himself dissatisfied with the
priesthood during his adult years. In attempts to reconnect to his cultural roots he joins a
revolutionist movement to deconstruct colonialism in his African nation. Through growth and the
tumultuous discovery of self, Pierre recognizes that there is no easy resolution in rediscovering
himself or Africa. Similarly, Shadows of Your Black Memory, is largely about a young boy s
journey into adulthood. Shadows is retold through the memory of the adult version of the young
boy. Unlike Pierre, the Narrator, who is never a given a name is strikingly aware of the cultural and
social parallels in which his

Historically, Apple s competitive advantage has been product differentiation and premium pricing
strategy. Apple is known for offering high end innovative products. Mike Markkula, investor and

Question 3: How sustainable is Apple s competitive position in PCs, MP3 players, and
smartphones? Apple s long term competitive advantage will be sustained because of their
differentiation and pricing strategies. Apple nested the concept of the digital hub where Mac could
be the preferred hub to control and integrate all its products. They followed a very aggressive
distribution strategy to penetrate the market and increase their reach to the consumers. Their retail
stores will enable increased sales by letting the consumers experience their software and products
first hand. Apple placed the ads in popular fashion magazines as opposed to just general computer
publications. Through their initiatives of the digital hub comprising of iTunes, iPhoto, iWeb, they

surplus which results in positive economic profits Appx. 1, 1.1.

French As A Native Language: An analysis and examination of areas in Western Europe
Language has consistently been a fundamental tool and method in order to communicate with
diverse individuals, who associate themselves and belong to various civilizations of the world.
Every human being born in this world grows up learning a native language. A native language is
learned from one s parents in one s home, and an individual can have more than one native
language if they were brought up speaking different languages at the same time. Native languages
cannot be gained later in life, and a language is only native if one grew up speaking it. The
continent of Europe is a conventional way of thinking of the world. Europe is a grand landmass that

Europe accounts for 39.87% of the French speaking population [...] In Europe (excluding France),
the largest populations of French speakers are essentially to be found in Belgium (45% of the
population), Switzerland (20% of the population) and Luxembourg. French is Europe s second most
widely spoken mother tongue with over 77 million speakers . The French language can be seen
spoken in different environments. It is spoken in homes, schools, the government, such as in the
United Nations and most distinctively in the European Union. In Western Europe a large majority of
the population learns more than one language growing up due to the close proximity to other
countries who s official language may be different. There are five distinct regions in Western
Europe where the French language is the population s native language: the French Republic,
Wallonia, the Principality of Monaco, the Swiss Federation, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The
French Republic is characterized as a unitary state and a semi presidential system enabled by the
French Fifth Republic. The French Fifth Republic was established in 1958 as the aftermath of the
French Fourth Republic, which preceded the governmental system and Republican Constitution set
into place. The current President of the French Republic is François Holland with Prime Minister
Manuel Valls. In this governmental system elections are held democratically. The citizen elects the

Essay On Election In Texas Election
Acharya 5
Bijay Acharya Professor Sherry Sharifian GOVT 2306 3 Nov. 2017 Running for Office in Texas
To be a successful officer, one needs to take concern on various aspects such as running for
elections, organizing campaigns for publicity, building offices, utilizing available resources and
maintaining the balance between funds and expenses. The amount of money spent by the candidate
is not the only factor to get elected which means that the candidate who spends a large sum of
money doesn t necessarily win the election. Sometimes, the candidates who spend small sum of
money also get elected whereas sometimes, the candidates who spend large sum of money get

The candidate needs to have enough knowledge about the interest groups, whether they support
or oppose their party. 1 The two interest groups which will support my campaign are Young
Conservatives of Texas and Texas Parent PAC . 2 Young Conservatives of Texas is the
organization which is dedicated to the preservation of individual liberties and freedom. It also
enables college students to participate in political process and thus it will support my campaign. 3
Texas Parent PAC is a bipartisan political action committee for parents, and anyone who supports
high quality of education. 4 So, this interest group will support my campaign. The interest group
Texas Values Action concerns towards religious liberty. The organization does not mainly concern
towards my issue, so it will oppose my campaign. Planned Parenthood Texas Votes will oppose my
campaign as it mainly concerns towards abortion and health care and it is not related with my
campaign objective.
Interest groups provide funding to the candidate which should be utilized properly to run for
office. Different types of means of communication such as newspapers, social sites and official
and celebrity involvement can be used to publicize about the matter. However, selection of those
means of communication and individuals should be made only after proper research. I will use

Dangers Of Apathy By Merriam Webster
Dangers of Apathy Merriam Webster defines the word apathy as a lack of feeling, emotion,
interest, or concern. The FY16 Chief Petty Officer Selects, however, feel that there is more to
this word. Pure apathy is the personal choice of removing any and all shred of interest or
concern to a particular person, place, or thing. This individual choice can be depicted in a
variety of ways. One of these ways is doing just enough to get by, or flying under the RADAR, as
some may put it. This type of behavior can be extremely dangerous for many reasons, one of the
biggest reasons is that it could lead to someone losing their life. For instance, the job of a

Even worse, the occurrence of death, or the likelihood thereof, is of no importance to someone
with this level of apathy. They allow the sickness of apathy to guide their lives. The choice to
care, or not care, remains in their hands. However, they are blinded by the despair that they
either cannot see they have the choice to change their view, or they just do not care. As stated
above, apathy can help motivate some people. In fact, the Greeks had an entirely different idea
behind the word apathy. In the original Greek word, apatheia was defined as the insensibility to
pain or suffering. The Greeks had an idea that one should push through and even ignore pain. In
this way of thinking, the Greeks believed being they could be objective or impartial due to non
suffering. When properly reflected upon, apathy can, in fact, inspire a person to push past the
fear of pain or failure. It is important to understand that failure will happen, yet when it does we
must bounce back, learn from our mistakes, and press on. We cannot hide from failure, it will
come regardless, or we will grow apathetic to the situation. If we truly have an interest in the goal,
then it is imperative to stand up and face what may happen. While it may hurt, and may even in
fact frighten us, we must push forward. We must not concern ourselves with the pain, the fear, and
the failure and focus on the goal. We may learn from all of these.

Implementation Of EHR Essay
Electronic Health Record Implementation The way in which facilities access patient s health
records have changed from paper charts to electronic health records (EHR). Healthcare facilities
have been mandated by the federal government to start using EHR for access and storage of health
information (Department of Healthand Human Services, 2008). There are six steps that assist
facilities in order to prepare them to start utilizing EHR (Office of the National Coordinator for
Health Information Technology, 2014). EHR privacy is maintained through the Health Insurance
Probability Accountability Act (HIPAA) (Burkhart and Nathaniel, 2014). This allows coordination
of care among healthcare professionals in order to deliver quality, safe, cost effective care to
patients.
Description of the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
President Bush started the mandate on the EHR in 2004. This mandate has been exercised by
President Obama through the Affordable Care Act. This mandate was established for all
healthcare facilities to have EHR by the year 2014. The use of the EHR was to improve patient
care, decrease medical errors, and coordinate patient care through the shared accessed of patient
information. There are two goals and four objectives for the mandate of EHR (Department of
Health and Human Services, 2008). The first goal is patient focused healthcare. Under this goal,
health care is centered on the patient in order to deliver higher quality care. This is established by

The Effects Of The Forbidden City And The Forbidden City
A 7.8 Million square foot city, the Forbidden City home to 24 emperors was built by the Ming
Dynasty in the 15th century. Building such a massive palace and city calls for many different ideas
to build such city. This may consist of the symmetry of the city, as well as the strategically placed
palaces and homes throughout it. While the Forbidden Citywas closed off too most people, anyone
that did have the amazing opportunity to enter the Forbidden City were thoroughly impressed
by the astonishing architecture and extravagant art work that filled the palaces to the brim.
Those that were allowed in were required to dismount their horses and proceed on foot into the
courtyard, where they were all greeted by the five marble bridges giving them passage across
what was called the Golden River. While the Forbidden City has been built upon symmetry and
power it also shows the separation of the public and private sectors very well, and while this
architecture is quite extravagant it provides and shows different effects on the socialization
between the public and private sectors of the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City has been built
upon symmetry, shown in figure 1 the city is surrounded by a wall, approximately 30 feet high.
There is only one entrance and one exit, in the front of the city, The Meridian Gate. Upon entering
the Meridian Gate at the front of the Forbidden City, a common area is presented to the guests,
where a small river moves quietly and peacefully throughout

Shakespeare s Sister
Virginia Woolf in the chapter Shakespeare s Sister from A Room of One s Own states that
women in the 19th and 20th century did not have the same privileges and opportunities that men
got in their lifetime, thus not being able to explore their passions of writing and art, rather being
the slave of any boy whose parents forced a ring upon her finger (694). She uses this to argue
why women are seen as inferior to men and that if women had had the same freedoms to live life
contrary to what society insists, they would be able to write like Shakespeare and have an equal
playing field to men.
One of Woolf s main points in her essay is that women did not get the same opportunities as men
and were discouraged by society to write, act, and make ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Woolf states: Because the mind of an artist, in order to achieve the prodigious effort of freeing
whole and entire the work that is in him, must be incandescent, like Shakespeare s mind, (703).
By this she means that men had the freedom to write, they did not have society discouraging
them, or putting roadblocks in their way. Women could not think for themselves because society
was constantly telling them what they should do and who they should marry, and encouraging
them to be mothers, rather than leaders. Having to live up to society s expectations certainly did
not let women have an incandescent mind. Woolf also states: The world did not say to her as it
said to them, Write if you choose; it makes no difference to me. The world said with a guffaw,
Write? What s the good of your writing (701). This lack of encouragement for women made it
difficult for them to achieve their dreams and be able to showcase their talents to the world.
This false notion of men being intellectually superior to women was a widely accepted idea in the
19th century. Woolf explains, there was an enormous body of masculine opinion to the effect that
nothing could be expected of women intellectually (702). By this, one could infer that women were
only seen for their beauty, and as wives. This objectification of women is seen in society today
through media s portrayal of women, and through many cultural norms of women being expected to

Should School Be A Mandatory Course On The Real World And...
Do you remember when we had our first job, and couldn t wait for that first check? I remember
mine. The money was all gone in 60 seconds, as I spent it all on things that didn t really matter.
We all wished we could ve prevented that spending habit. I regret every penny that I lost, while I
had no idea how to use money correctly. School districts need to focus on providing courses that
will better prepare students for real life issues. Therefore, there should be a mandatory course on,
Personal Finance, in high School, because as they are struggling to figure out who they are as they
are also oblivious to their own financial identity status, they don t know have the financial
discipline from home, on understanding how to manage their money, and the most financial issues

and money. First of all, if you remember that piggy bankthat we kept as kids, it was probably the
only understanding we had about money, growing up. We would put money in there, and we
weren t allowed to touch it unless it got full. And when that time came, the only way to access
our savings, is if we sacrificed that piggy, by throwing it on the ground, or hammering it to pieces.
We did just about anything to get that piggy bank to open. Well, because of the lack of knowledge
today, our reality of piggy banks as adults has diminished. Today that piggy has hole at the bottom.
We are able to dig into that

Western Front Camaraderie Quotes
Every Veterans Day, the Center for American Progress pauses to honor the brave men and women
who serve or have served in the United States Armed Forces (Evans). Many Americans will take the
opportunity to have a moment of silence. At the end of the war in All Quiet on the Western Front,
there was complete silence after the death of Paul Bäumer that is similar to Americans using
silence to respect their veterans who have fought . In All Quiet on the Western Front, the author
develops motifs of camaraderie, loss of humanity, and senselessness of war to convey themes
throughout the book. Camaraderie is a motif that occurs throughout Remarque s All Quite On The
Western Front. In this war novel, Paul and Kat are the last two men alive during the war against

elected, the problem is that people fail to call it terrorism. Ever since Charlottesville people have
been more vigilant against white supremacist, but they need more help with funding to train our
local law enforcement and the Federal government has to begin to combat terrorism especially
Right wing terrorism and white supremacist terrorism. Education is probably the most important
key to fighting this type of violence and parents should teach their children how to respect and
treat another person who seems vulnerable to this type of community. In addition important to
stand up when you see someone who is being attacked because of their race or religion because
silence in the face of this type of bigotry is not only dangerous but it is not

And Then There Were None Mystery
What would you do if you were lured to an island by someone claiming to be an old friend, or
sent to complete a job? One by one someone is murdered. The murderer is one of the ten people
among you, and as one person dies that s one less person who is guilty. Would you be the person
who takes charge? The one who goes insane? Or would you lie low and hope noone notices you?
In the book And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
, the main mystery elements used were:
main conflict, setting, characterization, and the author s techniques of giving clues.
The main conflict in the story is person versus person, or the murders of the ten people who
were apparently murdered because they were guilty of a crime themselves. Everyone is killed in
a certain way, by the lyrics of a nursery rhyme hung in their bedrooms. (31). On the centerpiece of
the dining table there are ten indian boys, everyone thought it was very clever since the name of
the island they were staying on was Indian Island. That was until they realized each indian boy
represented one of them and as one person died one indian boy was taken off the centerpiece. (74)

And what events in life lead him to do this extreme crime. I must I must I must commit a murder !
Wargrave wanted to commit a murder that was theatrical impossible, and one out of the common.
(263) The order of death he took into special thought and care, the ones whose guilt was the
lightest he carried out first, and not suffer the mental strain and fear that the cold blooded
murderers were to suffer. (268) The manuscript in my opinion was necessary because it made me
think back to when I read the part of the book and put together all of the clues, and made me
question who I thought was the murderer at that time of the book. But throughout the book the
author left clues that after I read the manuscript all made

The Rise Of The Second World War
In Europe, the war are closely related to the rise of other wars, especially in Germany. The
increasing of the Second World War is viewed as being closely related back to the First World
War. In that war Germany under the right wing of Kaiser Wilhelm II along with his associates, had
been beat by countries like: The United Kingdom, United States, France, Russia and others. The war
was directly related by the winners on the nationalism of Germany, even tho it was Germany that
started the war with an attack on France. France, which had underwent a previous defeat at the
hands of Russia, they wanted revenge for its financial occurance during the First World War. France

WORLD WAR 2 Concentrations Camps Concentration camps became places where millions of

20,000 camps to prison it s captured and those who they blamed. These camps were used for a

Invasion of Poland on September 1939, the Nazis opened forced labor camps where thousands of
Jews died from exhaustion, starvation, and open wounds. German soldiers guarded the camps at

Comparison Of Fashion In The 1960 s
Trends today, are hardly ever completely new. More often than we may notice, we recycle trends
and styles and then add our own modern turns. Even though fashion and style in today s pop
culture is about individuality; we share several similarities with the fashion scene of the 1960 s.
Fashion took a everlasting turn in the 1960 s and some of our most iconic looks come from the
decade.
Even though the 60 s are best known as the decade for crazy experimentation; when it came to the
world of fashion, there was a bit of slow change. As the decade began nothing revolutionary had
sparked from the previous years. The decade started off with classical, conservative and restrained
styles. Rolling into the mid 60 s, looks became more long, slender and colors brightened, albeit still
subtle. The British Invasion hit and for the first time in decades London became the fashion capital
of the world, not Paris. It wasn t until the late 60 s struck that the fashion world exploded. Bright,
swirling colors, psychedelic tie dies, long hair and beards were all the rage. Clothing became sleek
and modern; the term of unisex also came about as women s clothes became more masculine and
men s clothing in turn more feminine. (RetroWaste)
For women, fashion in the beginning of the 60 s hadn t changed much from the 50 s. There was
also hints of styles from the 1920 s and 1930 s. However by 1963 small changes were becoming
more noticable. Clothing seen on Audrey Hepburn in the film Breakfast At

Ordinary Men Essay How did a battalion of middle aged reserve policemen find themselves
facing the task of shooting some 1,500 Jews in the Polish village of Josefow in the summer of
1942 (Browning, 3)? This question is asked in the beginning of Ordinary Men: Reserve Police
Battalion 101 written by Christopher Browning, a historian and famous author. This compelling
book tells the real story of the German Order Police throughout the two world wars, specifically
World War Two. However, he mainly focuses on one particular group, the Reserve Police
Battalion 101. In this group contained lower to middle class middle aged men who were too old
to be helpful to the German Army so were put into the Order Police (Browning, 1). He uses this
particular battalion to prove his thesis correct. By using the word ordinary, ... Show more content on

He wants to prove that these men are just like you and me in the way that when we are told to do
something by authority, we do it without hesitation. When ordinary men is brought up, what is
being thought? Most likely visions of boring, no different, regular men come to the mind.
Browning likes this idea because it proves his thesis right. He believes that the ordinary men in
this Battalion are not to blame for the mass genocides and random shootings and that the officers
themselves who were uncomfortable with the killings going on were not bad people. In fact, he
says they were just doing their job that an authority figure ordered them to do (Browning, 184). He
talks about how the members of this group where from Hamburg which is one of the

Asian Americans And Asian American Populations
Asian Americans have been migrating to the United States since the 1850 s. The Chinese came
over first and decades later, the Japanese, Koreans, and Filipinos followed. All of these Asian
American populations faced discrimination, racial hostility, inequality, deportation, and possible
death. They paved the way for other Asian Americanpopulations wanting to make better lives for
themselves and for their families. Today, we have twenty Asian American populations living in the
United States. The demographic data will show the varied population sizes (Census Bureau,
2010). My paper will be focusing on the Korean population. 1. Chinese 4,010,114 (includes

Jaywalking Research Paper
Factors Behind Jaywalking
As researchers, we are interested in the topic of Jaywalking. We specifically want to find out
through our survey why people jaywalk and what factors may affect how often they jaywalk. We
will send this survey through a variety of different methods. Three methods will be used mail, e
mail, and telephone. We will give out 200 surveys for each of the different methods. We will
also have dedicated staff for each of these methods which will all rotate to look at each of the
methods results. We will target the general population of Fresno and will randomly select people
to send out the surveys to. One of the first we will ask is if they have ever seen somebody
jaywalking. We will also define what jaywalking is. The second questionwill ask if they know
jaywalking is illegal. This will give us an idea of how well informed the public is about this type
of infraction. Next, we will ask a series of demographic questions in the survey. One of the first
demographic questions is the age of the participant. So that going forward with the survey we have
an idea of what outside factors affect them depending on their age. It will set up the next question,
which is a contingency question. If they answer yes then they will select roughly how many times
they have jaywalked in the past year. The next few questions will also ... Show more content on

However, this question will give us a more uniform set of answers as to why they may jaywalk. It
will also get us an idea of how consistent the participants are answering. We may also find factors
that we not have thought of from these questions in the other

Should 16 Year Olds Have The Right To Vote Essay
Casting a vote in an election is something many people including the young adults look forward to
because it is this one time that their opinion matters. In the article Takoma Park 16 year old savors
his history making moment at the polls by Annys Shin, she informed us about 350 16 and 17 year
olds who were granted the right to vote in municipal electionsby the Takoma City Council. Those
350 individuals were the first ever 16 and 17 year olds to have the opportunity to cast their vote for
a political election, however there are many who believe that this specific age group shouldn t have
the right to take part in events such as these because they aren t old enough to make an educated
decision. Therefore, the votingage should remain the same of 18 years old, although it s a one to
two year difference many teenagers who act as if they re still children can mature into young adults

In the article by Shin she mentions what Fred Schultz said about the results not being worth the
time and effort the city devoted to the issue. Nor will it do much to achieve the larger goal of
getting younger voters engaged in politics. Many can agree with this statement because some
students already have a difficult time of wanting to learn more about the government, having them

Reasons for the failure of 1848- 1849 revolutions in...
The revolutionaries in Italy had longstanding grievances, some were nationalists and some were
liberals. Despite all having different ideas and aims they all resoundingly agreed that Italy needed
change. The hopes of the various revolutionary groups had been raised by the election of Pope Pius
and Charles Albert the King of Piedmont Sardinia. However, their hopes and resulting revolutions
were crushed due to many concerning factors. A crushing factor of the failure of the revolutions
was the trouncing of the Piedmontese army at both the battles of Novara and Custoza. These
defeats were resounding as the Piedmontese army had no chance against the might of the super
power that was the Austrian army. The Piedmontese army met the forces of... Show more content on

Radetsky s army was not just huge but well led, organised and well equipped. Under such
authoritative and commanding leadership the Piedmontese army was soon defeated. Radetsky s
army in addition also crushed the revolts in Venice and Tuscany (who had declared themselves as
republics) and who had previously resisted Austrian siege warfare until February 1849. However, it
was not just the power of Austria and it s army which contributed to the failures of the revolutions,
but the revolutionaries also contributed to their own downfall. Despite wanting change in Italy,
there were numerous divisions between the revolutionaries such as the liberals and nationalists
having different aims and incompetence in the face of Austria. Such divisions not only affected
morale but had physical impacts such as in the battle of Custoza where the Papal States and Naples
withdrew their troops in favour of their own interests. Furthermore, the divisions between the
revolutionaries were accentuated when the Roman Republic was declared in favour of the Pope
being the leader of the Papal States. The previous Pope, Pius IX had fled to Naples after not being
able to declare war on a fellow Catholic state and continued to work with a constitutional
government until his flight from Rome. The republic was led by Mazzini who took care of all
political issues and provided inspiration whilst Garibaldi was in charge of

My Experience Of My Birthdays
Do you ever have an experience that destroys something that you had cherished for so long? There
have been lots of times in my life that I have been confronted with situations that changed the way I
viewed myself and others, there is one distinct time that I remember abruptly changing my
viewpoint, and finally learning some very important messages. On the particular day, my birthday, I
had one of the most confusing, irritating, frustrating, eye opening days of my life. A day I will
remember for as long as I live. Birthdays were an event that I had been associated with excitement
and anticipation in the years prior to my 7th birthday, after that, they were ruined forever.
On this special day, I woke up to breakfast in bed, a family tradition. My mom had asked me
earlier that week what I wanted for my birthday breakfast and I had responded with the same
breakfast that everyone in my family asks for, cinnamon rolls. Skip ahead to the next morning,
having just woken up, being presented with a plate of pancakes... What? I was confused. I thought,
There must be some mistake. I looked around hoping to see another plate with warm gooey rolls of
dough smothered in sugar placed on it. To my dismay, there was not.
Oh. I guess maybe mom didn t hear me when I said I wanted cinnamon rolls, I wondered, but how
could she not have? It s the same breakfast all of us ask for.

Comparing Odysseus And God In Homer s The Odyssey
In Homer s The Odyssey, Odysseus tests his servants, family, and the suitors, and in the Book of
Genesis God tests Abraham. Odysseus returns home alone and unrecognized to find his home in
disarray, unsure of who and who cannot be trusted. In the Book of Genesis, Abraham is tested to
assure he is loyal to, and trusts, the Lord. Odysseustests the loyalty of his servants and family
members, as well as the suitors, likewise, Abraham s faith is assessed by God as he commands
Abraham to sacrifice his son. The similarities between Odysseus and God, and their assessment of
others, draw further on the concept of crossing the boundary between humans and the divine; both
Odysseus and God use testing as a form of bringing justice to a world that lives without a justice
system.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

man. It is in this disguise as a beggar that Odysseus is is able to go about testing the people of

Why Is Cursive Writing Obsolete
I believe cursive writing is obsolete because I never learned how to write in cursive nor have I
ever needed to. As said in the first argument Cursive is a common teaching tool for students with
dyslexia, a reading disorder. this is true because you can t mix up letters in cursive. I think that
cursiveshouldnt be a required thing to learn in school, but should always be available if needed.
Most high schools and colleges expect you to turn in typed, rather than handwritten, papers. The
survey took in 2012 given to handwriting teachers, only 37% of them wrote cursive.
First, I believe that cursive writing should not be required but should be available for those who
want or need to learn it. If a student with dyslexia or any other brain disorder was to ask to learn
cursive so that they had less touble with there disorder than it should be available for them. Even
just a student such as myself. I have never learned to write cursive, none of my teachers thought it
was important, but if there is someone who want to learn to write in cursive it should also be
available for that student. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Influence Of Technology
Why does technology have a big impact on the world? Technology has grown for years since the
first computer was created and many have been using technology for school, work, interviews. It
has made life more easy and effective way to get stuff done faster because technology impacted
many people over the worldand it has benefited us greatly. It s a wonderful way to stay connected
to the world and never miss out on events and important new broadcast.
It has advanced more further than anyone has imagined because the more we discover more things
about modern technology an apply with the knowledge that we already know and come up with a
sequence to make it correspond with other types of function. This can help the community use the
device in an easy format to benefit workers, school students, instructors. Many say that technology
will never stop evolving because each new generation has a different mindset and how they look
at thing. To improve you must have a fresh mind and think outside the box to form something new.
I would say that technology has put life in a unique perspective because it s made things easier for
the new generation because back then they didn t have the resources that we have now. To better
ourselves we must adapted to new and growing generation so that we can teach them how thing
work and pass it down towards the next.
The technology field has a lot of different forms because each has a different process on how each
action like paying a bill with a credit

Venesta Vs Covenanta Analysis
We can t run away from life because we are that life; and that life exist and it is real, we can
experience it according to TANTRA. So TANTRA uses this and reverses this cycle. One
difference I find is that TANTRA suggests transformation of anything or any non thing that binds
/contract us. For example attachment to our body or ego believing that we are that body or that
we are that ego. So in TANTRA, the body and all the things , non things and the energies of life
are fully respected because they are considered manifestations of the Divine, and the Divine
resides within them, we are also that Divine. The body is not good or bad, it is something to be
transcended. On the other hand, VEDANTA suggests a direct experience of transcending
anything or any non thing as opposed to transformation because there is nothing to be
transformed. We are already that oneness, pure consciousness, Brahman, the Absolut. The
method of non dualistic VEDANTA is to negate all things or non things , which VEDANTA
calls unreal, until one sees nothing, but Brahman, or pure and undifferentiated consciousness. In
order to reach the affirmation of oneness, every trace of duality must be rigorously rejected; in
other words, VEDANTA asks us to renounce the world of concepts, names and forms. However,
this is very easy to say, but more difficult to practice. It is like seeing the political map of the
world, we can see many borders dividing the world in many different countries, but in reality, if
we observe the world out from space, we do not see those lines/divisions; we see a beautiful round
planet mostly blue from its higher content in water. Those divisions do not exist... Show more

  • 10. Queen Matilda Of England And The Marriage Table A Dowry Of... Queen Matilda of England brought to the marriage table a dowry of estates. While, she did not grant William great wealth, she did possess great wealth of her own. Roughly one fourth of the wealth of Matilda and William belonged to Matilda. She presented her husband with the ship the Mora as a symbol of her approval of his conquest of England. Matilda, being well educated and capable, served as regent of Normandy while her husband was away in England. Matilda made the journey to England in 1068 where she was crowned Queen of England. Matilda, like many queens of her time, actively participated in government. Roughly one hundred charters bear Matilda s name, suggesting that she occasionally maintained full responsibility of Normandy in her husband s absence. Matilda became a wealthy landowner in England, where she held lands in the counties of Surrey, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall, Buckinghamshire, and Gloucestershire. She maintained contact with her family in Flanders and even provided William with Flemish men for his army. She was also a key player in King William s rule of England, hearing land pleas and negotiating with nobles. Matilda played a lesser role in foreign politics than her husband. • 12. America in the 1920 s America in the 1920s, also known as the Roaring 20s or New Era, was a time of great changes and huge growth. America was being a more modern nation, and a return to normalcy was being seen after the Progressive Movement and First World War. Politically, the American government was seemingly conservative, but experimented with different approaches to public policy and foreign diplomatic policy. Economically, it was a time of tremendous growth and new forms of organization. Socially, the American popular culture reshaped itself to reflect the increasingly industrial, urban, and consumer oriented society. The 20s were a time of a distinguishably new culture and profound change and excitement, but it wasn t great for everybody. After 1922, there was a long period of prosperity and economic expansion. People had more money to spend, and prices weren t rising very much. The key to the economic boom was new technology. R.I.C.E is the acronym for rest, ice, compress, and elevate. Rest means not to overuse the injured area; keep the knee mobile, but cut down on its use. Ice means to ice the injured area for ten minutes and then ten minutes off several times, and repeat this pattern three times a day; these numbers may change depending on your doctor. Compression helps diminish swelling of the injured area. Keep the injured area firmly compressed with a wrap or compression band and make sure it is not too tight because this will restrict blood flow and slow the healing process. The tightness of the compress should limit expansion and not cause severe compression. The knee should be elevated at least twice a day. Raise the injured area above the heart. In the knee, this is easily done by lying down on your back and raising your leg. Anti inflammatory medications such as ibuprophin, advil, motrin and naproxen may be recommended, but ask your doctor before using any medications. For more serious tears, such as moderate to large tears in the red zone , surgery will be a likely solution. This surgery is called a meniscectomy . This is where the doctor will remove the entire injured meniscus. For tears that spread from the red zone to the inner two thirds of the meniscus, surgery may not help. Another option is a partial meniscectomy. This surgery is where only a part of the meniscus is removed. Talking with your doctor will be the deciding factor. She uses this to argue why women are seen as inferior to men and that if women had had the same freedoms to live life contrary to what society insists, they would be able to write like Shakespeare and have an equal playing field to men. Woolf states: Because the mind of an artist, in order to achieve the prodigious effort of freeing whole and entire the work that is in him, must be incandescent, like Shakespeare s mind, (703). By this she means that men had the freedom to write, they did not have society discouraging them, or putting roadblocks in their way. Women could not think for themselves because society was constantly telling them what they should do and who they should marry, and encouraging them to be mothers, rather than leaders. Having to live up to society s expectations certainly did not let women have an incandescent mind. Woolf also states: The world did not say to her as it said to them, Write if you choose; it makes no difference to me. The world said with a guffaw, Write? What s the good of your writing (701). This lack of encouragement for women made it difficult for them to achieve their dreams and be able to showcase their talents to the world. This false notion of men being intellectually superior to women was a widely accepted idea in the 19th century. Woolf explains, there was an enormous body of masculine opinion to the effect that nothing could be expected of women intellectually (702). • 51. Comparing Odysseus And God In Homer s The Odyssey In Homer s The Odyssey, Odysseus tests his servants, family, and the suitors, and in the Book of Genesis God tests Abraham. Odysseus returns home alone and unrecognized to find his home in disarray, unsure of who and who cannot be trusted. In the Book of Genesis, Abraham is tested to assure he is loyal to, and trusts, the Lord. Odysseustests the loyalty of his servants and family members, as well as the suitors, likewise, Abraham s faith is assessed by God as he commands Abraham to sacrifice his son. The similarities between Odysseus and God, and their assessment of others, draw further on the concept of crossing the boundary between humans and the divine; both Odysseus and God use testing as a form of bringing justice to a world that lives without a justice system.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While this may seem contradictory, it is really a test of whether or not Abraham fears God, or as one of how strong his faith, or loyalty, in the Lord is. When Odysseus finally returns home, everything is in a state of chaos, including Odysseus himself, who returns as a lonely unrecognized man. It is in this disguise as a beggar that Odysseus is is able to go about testing the people of Ithaca, including the swineherd, his wife and son, the suitors, and the household ... • 52. Why Is Cursive Writing Obsolete I believe cursive writing is obsolete because I never learned how to write in cursive nor have I ever needed to. As said in the first argument Cursive is a common teaching tool for students with dyslexia, a reading disorder. this is true because you can t mix up letters in cursive. I think that cursiveshouldnt be a required thing to learn in school, but should always be available if needed. Most high schools and colleges expect you to turn in typed, rather than handwritten, papers. The survey took in 2012 given to handwriting teachers, only 37% of them wrote cursive. First, I believe that cursive writing should not be required but should be available for those who want or need to learn it. If a student with dyslexia or any other brain disorder was to ask to learn cursive so that they had less touble with there disorder than it should be available for them. Even just a student such as myself. I have never learned to write cursive, none of my teachers thought it was important, but if there is someone who want to learn to write in cursive it should also be available for that student. ... It s a wonderful way to stay connected to the world and never miss out on events and important new broadcast. It has advanced more further than anyone has imagined because the more we discover more things about modern technology an apply with the knowledge that we already know and come up with a sequence to make it correspond with other types of function. This can help the community use the device in an easy format to benefit workers, school students, instructors. Many say that technology will never stop evolving because each new generation has a different mindset and how they look at thing. To improve you must have a fresh mind and think outside the box to form something new. I would say that technology has put life in a unique perspective because it s made things easier for the new generation because back then they didn t have the resources that we have now. To better ourselves we must adapted to new and growing generation so that we can teach them how thing work and pass it down towards the next. • 54. Venesta Vs Covenanta Analysis We can t run away from life because we are that life; and that life exist and it is real, we can experience it according to TANTRA. So TANTRA uses this and reverses this cycle. One difference I find is that TANTRA suggests transformation of anything or any non thing that binds /contract us. For example attachment to our body or ego believing that we are that body or that we are that ego. So in TANTRA, the body and all the things , non things and the energies of life are fully respected because they are considered manifestations of the Divine, and the Divine resides within them, we are also that Divine. The body is not good or bad, it is something to be transcended. On the other hand, VEDANTA suggests a direct experience of transcending anything or any non thing as opposed to transformation because there is nothing to be transformed. We are already that oneness, pure consciousness, Brahman, the Absolut. The method of non dualistic VEDANTA is to negate all things or non things , which VEDANTA calls unreal, until one sees nothing, but Brahman, or pure and undifferentiated consciousness. In order to reach the affirmation of oneness, every trace of duality must be rigorously rejected; in other words, VEDANTA asks us to renounce the world of concepts, names and forms. However, this is very easy to say, but more difficult to practice. It is like seeing the political map of the world, we can see many borders dividing the world in many different countries, but in reality, if we observe the world out from space, we do not see those lines/divisions; we see a beautiful round planet mostly blue from its higher content in water. Those divisions do not exist... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
