Repeat this approximately five to seven times for each area of the front teeth.
When your toothbrush bristles fray out or become too soft, usually after 3 months, it is time to get

The Process Of Aging And Dying Today s Current Society
Being Mortal Introduction The introduction provided a general synopsis of what would be
discussed in the book, the process of aging and dying in today s current society, and how that
process compares to other cultures and generations. The author, Atul Gawande, also recounted a
few memories of his experiences in college and as a new doctor, which created a foundation for
which his topic was both presented and elaborated on. Gawande suggests that doctors are fixated on
providing constant treatments and surgeries for the terminally ill, but that they never consider
acknowledging the inevitable fate of the patient and help them cope with their situation. As Atul
continued, he explained how, as a doctor, the greatest satisfaction received... Show more content on

Gawande also talked about how his father accepted and assimilated into virtually all of american
culture, although he could not come to terms with the way that the elderly were treated here.
Atul s father never seemed to understand why people in the U.S. Would leave their elderly to
live alone or in unfamiliar facilities. The reason this idea felt so foreign to him is due mostly to
the fact that his native culture treats the elderly in a much more hands on and involved way.
Gawande continued by explaining how his grandfather lived and died with his family. Before
dying at the age of 110, Sitaram lived with the children he had raised. While the tradition in India
was to have family care for the elderly, Gawande stated that in the U.S., aging has gone from a
multi generational responsibility and turned into a private and secluded affair. 2. Things Fall Apart
Continuing on, Gawande made the argument that until recent years, every day was a roll of the
dice, meaning that death was much more common and uncontrollable than it is now. Gawande
likened the aging and dying process to that of a trap door. Suddenly the good health that the person
was accustomed to fell underneath their feet, no longer supporting them. He then described how
modern medicine has impacted the process of dying and compared it to descending down a hilly
road on a mountain rather than a cliff with a steep, immediate drop.

Compare A P And A Rose For Emily
A P + A Rose for Emily A P by John Updike and A Rose for Emily by William Faulkner are two
short stories which reveal to be different, odd and even bizarre in several aspects; conversely, on
the other hand, they are very similar. One similarity for John Updike, William Faulkner and many
other authors, is being that they follow the three act structure, which helps to write their story more
effectively. Furthermore, in analyzing A P and A Rose for Emily, we see that both share an
overarching theme; however, their symbolism and conflicts are different, they still follow the three
act structure; finally, in the end, you will see which one I infer does a better job compared to the
other. A P demonstrates the three act structure very... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When the Antagonist, Lengel, the store manager, comes in, he immediately reprimands the girls in
front of employees and customers; telling them, next time they must be dressed decently. Lengel s
treatment of the girls, hit a nerve in Sammy, causing some tension, friction, getting his heart rate up,
wedge an obstacle between him and Lengel. Sammy rings up the girls purchase, as tension builds
within himself, for what just happened. When conflict is thrust upon the protagonist, forcing them
into action, you risk losing them.
In the Resolution, when tension and conflict is thrust upon Sammy it escalates; being trapped
within a 19 year old body, forcing him into action, had no control on his teenage testosterone
hormones as they rage and fly out of control; yet still believes that he s an adult. Without any
thought, the Climax came when, Sammy, on a spur of the moment decided to quit his job, tired of
how everyone was treating them. The Falling Action happened when, Sammy ended up telling
Lengel off and taking up for girls and quits. Although, Lengel tries to reason with Sammy and
explain to him that he will regret his decision; Sammy already had made his mind up.
Notwithstanding, Sammy was afraid to disappoint his parents, his decision was made, it s too late
now. Sammy turns and walks out the door.

Shipwrecks In Libya Research Paper
At least 239 migrants are believed to have drowned this week in two shipwrecks off the coast of
Libya, the United Nations refugee agency said Thursday, adding to the toll in what was already
the deadliest year on record in the Mediterranean Sea. Survivor accounts suggest that two
crowded boats broke up just off the Libyan coast Wednesday, said Carlotta Sami, spokeswoman
for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. The 31 survivors were taken to the Italian island of
Lampedusa, which has become a rescue hub amid an ever deadlier crisis as migrants depart
Africa s northern shores trying to reach Europe. The reports from the survivors could not be
independently confirmed, but it is common for migrant ships to be filled far beyond capacity, and
hundreds have perished in past sinkings. If true, the latest shipwrecks bring the toll of dead and
missing in the Mediterranean to 4220 this year, the highest on record, Sami said.... Show more

Pregnant women and at least six children were on board, survivors told the UNHCR, but no
children were saved in the rescue, which took place about 40km off Libya s coast. One woman lost
her 2 month old baby, Sami said, and 12 bodies were recovered. The survivors said they were in the
cold waters for hours before being rescued about 3pm that day. They said more than 140 people
were aboard the boat. Migrants who fell in the water from a crowded rubber dinghy are rescued.

Biedenharn sent a case to Asa Griggs Candler, who owned the Company. Candler thanked him
but took no action. One of his nephews already had urged that Coca Cola be bottled, but Candler
focused on fountain sales. 1899 The first bottling agreement Two young attorneys from
Chattanooga, Tennessee believed they could build a business around bottling Coca Cola. In a
meeting with Candler, Benjamin F. Thomas and Joseph B. Whitehead obtained exclusive rights to
bottle Coca Cola across most of the United States (specifically excluding Vicksburg) for the sum
of one dollar. A third Chattanooga lawyer, John T. Lupton, soon joined their venture. 1900 1909 ...
Rapid growth The three pioneer bottlers divided the country into territories and sold bottling
rights to local entrepreneurs. Their efforts were boosted by major progress in bottling technology,
which improved efficiency and product quality. By 1909, nearly 400 Coca Cola bottling plants

What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of A Paper Based...
Currently, the HGRDA is using paper based system to register new riders, medical consents and
new staffs details. According to the clients attendance that is recorded in a role book, the
invoice will be generated. When riders or staff s information need to be changed, they might
need to re fill forms. The annual timetable will be set up at the beginning of the year. Based on
the lesson schedule, the manager will assign suitable staff and volunteers. Additionally, the
advantages of using paper based system are that making notes on files and sharing within a large
group easily. Also, the paper based system will have low requirements on the hardware of the
organisation. Besides, one disadvantage of using paper based system is that the manager has to
check records manually, which may cause some unnecessary errors. Another disadvantage is that
the current system does not provide the manager with special functions to generate statistic
efficiently. For the Hardware Considerations: We have decided to design the proposed system by
using MySQL software and base on windows 7 and above computer operate system. The
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 and Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable Package are

Impacts Of The Regional Trading Blocs
Since the World War II, the creation of regional economic blocs has become an essential political
remedy that gathers countries and nations rather than divide. Essentially, the creation of the
economic regional blocs aims to minimize the obstacles between nations that share the same
geographic border and to facilitate the circulations of goods and services. In fact, the regional
trading blocs differ in terms of political structure and economic objectives, but the rapidity of
trading goods and services within the different regions around the globe wouldn t be possible
without establishing unified political and economic units. For example, the European Union(EU) as
other regional blocs gathers different countries that share the same geographical borders and differ
in cultures, languages, and political systems. Actually, the differences and similarities between the
various political structures and economic objectives are due to numerous factors such as history,
culture, and the level of imports and exports to each country. However, the impacts of the regional
trading blocs have some disadvantages that have negative impacts on the local economies of the
regional blocs and on the global economy as well.
2.Regional economic integration
a)What is regional economic integration?

Reflection Of Lord Of The Flies
The Lord of the Flies is one of the most well known books. This book evokes fear, discomfort,
and even confusion. This rapid pulse classic isn t about boys shipwrecked on an island but a secret
experiment created by the British government gone tragically wrong. There are so many facts that
support this idea. This book relates to Lost, Divergent, The Hunger Games, and even The Maze
Runner. All of these children wake up to find themselves on an island. They have no idea how
they go there and the plane to completely gone. It is almost as if someone just dropped the boys
off and left. Miraculously as well these children were on an uninhabited island that had livable
conditions for them. This was the perfect set up for a simulation! Let go straight into the first
chapter of the book. It starts off the book with Ralph and a boy named Piggy. They find themselves
on this island that is completely deserted. (Page 1 2)
Where s the man with the megaphone?
The fair boy shook his head. This is an island. At least I think it s an island. That s a reef out in the
sea. Perhaps there aren t any grownups anywhere. The fat boy looked startled.
What this is showing is that Ralph and Piggy are discovering they are on an island all alone. They
currently do not know how they got there or if there are other people. Isn t it strange though when
Ralph and Piggy wake up they are in the forest and not on the beach? If their plane had crashed the

Analysis Of The Umar Abdullah Johnson Theory Of Black Male...
The Umar Abdullah Johnson Theory of Black Male Alienation posits that a five stage cycle of
institutional repression exists that has effectively sent more black men to jail than it has to
college. Any attempt to reverse this war against America s most misunderstood population
begins with a firm analysis of the process and its origins in boyhood. Americans, including
Blacks, have become so desensitized to the pain of Black boys and so expectant of their failures
that their pain is often overlooked and their achievements treated like occasional glitches in a
system that has successfully made Black boys a permanent underclass in this country. But the
color of a Negro s skin makes him easily recognizable, makes him suspect, converts him into a
defenseless target (Richard Wright, Black Boy) Mis education often begins at birth. The average
first day of life for Black children is when they become subjected to self hatred and self hating
messages about themselves. They re often getting messages about themselves that is directly or
indirectly coming from the white culture. From the first day they are brought into this world, the
mis education and the self hatred towards our babies starts right then and there. It starts to
increase in preschool because in preschool, for those that decide to send their child to preschool,
this will be the first time that the Black boy comes face to face with the School guidelines of the
American social order where he is expected to preform to

Challenges Faced United Arb Emirates (UAE) Health Care System
UAE Health Care System Strategy
To achieve anything you want it you must put strategy to how you can achieve it successfully, and
that s what United Arab Emirates (UAE) health care system did. The ambition of the UAE health
care system to become one of the favorite destinations for local patients as well as a center for
international medical tourists require high quality and cost effective procedure and treatment, that s
what makes UAE put long term strategy to achieve this aspiration (world health organization, 2005
2009). In order to support the health care system, the UAE government increasingly focused its
effort to attract special high level health care providers to the UAE. However, despite the strong
support of the UAE government, health care providers, still facing major challenges to grow and
operate in the Emarites. There are several challenges faced UAE health care system, but the
government and the health care system reject Surrender and still confront challenges neither
tiredness nor boredom from its side.
Challenges
One of the great challenges was faced health care development is the lack of standardization of
instructions and regulations across the UAE and the various stages of health care development in
each emirate. These challenges formed a huge handicap to the strategy of development of the health
care system. Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC), Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Authority of Abu

The Current Systems And Policies
In contemporary Scotland, there are a large variety of needs that people require to live
comfortable and fulfilling lives. These needs arise in lots of different areas such as healthcare,
education and housing. The concept of need is a fundamentally important aspect of social
policy because most social policies are primarily implemented with the goal of helping and
supporting people whose needs are not currently being met by society. This essay will solely
focus on the needs that come up regarding healthcare, and will look to evaluate the current
systems and policies in place that are tasked with meeting these needs. Nearly every member of
Scottish society will, at some point whether it be at birth or in old age, require some type of
health service to support them and meet their needs so it is vitally important that these services are
readily accessible and are of a satisfactory standard. Some of the specific healthcare issues explored
will include; the access to prescription medicine, the impacts of free childhood immunisation
programs, the dangers of smokingand the negative effect of alcohol abuse on the National Health
Service. This essay will also look to come to a general conclusion about whether enough is being
done to maintain the universal health and well being of the people of Scotland.
The concept of need can often be difficult to define because it can mean different things to
different people and people s needs naturally differ from one another. Needs can differ

Kangxi And Peter The Great Similarities
Comparing and Contrasting Two Monarchs
In the late 17th century to the early 18th century, two powerful monarchs who ruled over their own
magnificent empires. These monarchs were Peter the Great, the tsar of Russia, and the emperor of
China, Kangxi. At the time of their rules, an economic system called mercantilism formed. This
system allowed societies to benefit off of influx of goods from merchants trading. Using this
system, in China, the Canton system was formed to open up ports to western societies. Even
though, both Kangxi and Peter the Great shared similarities in the way they ruled, they had a
variety of differences, which were caused by their background and their country s interests. On the
other hand, the diverse backgrounds and experiences of the empires caused them to also have
differences in their ways of ruling. These differences could be categorized into two overarching
topics, economy and education. Their economies had varied taxation systems and were structured
differently. As far as education, the rulers differed in the ways they spread knowledge and the type
of knowledge they taught. Comparing these two rulers can produce some similarities shown in the
economic systems backed by the time period in which they ruled. For instance, in Russia, Peter the
Great relied on the economic system of mercantilism to spur economic growth within his empire.
He achieved this by increasing exports like silk. (Massie, 938) Similarly, Kangxi created the Canton
system which

Social Class Injustice
DISCUSSION:
My respondents vary across the boundaries of race and social class. All but one respondent, are
Indian. The other is identifies as a White American. The ratio of social class is more proportionate
with my father and I identifying as middle class and my mother and friend identifying as part of
the poor and working class. Lareau states that the patterns of family life vary across these two
different social classes identified. He claims that in terms of the organization of daily lives
working class and poor children spend most of their time in informal play, while middle class
children take part in many adult organized activities designed to expand their individual talents and
interests. My collected data was consistent with this claim, as my mother and friend that fit the poor

The opposite trend however with minimal time on leisure activities such as television but
reading instead and maximum time spent developing skills and talents was seen in the case of
middle class children like my father and me. However, in my study, I found differences in the
organization of daily life only across social class boundaries and not across racial boundaries of
brown and white. There were no discrepancies in terms of the number of activities across races.
These results contradicted Lareau s where he proved black middle class children had more
activities largely connected to the church than White middle class children. There was also a
disparity in terms of gender and activities for the poor and working class when compared to the
middle class. Respondents of the latter social group, that involved my mother and friend, tended to

Next, I will address the advantages of a relational model specific to ACME Global Consulting.
Since Acme Global Consulting is a leader in providing software development solutions to other
companies, they need to have an in depth knowledge of their clients functional and data needs.
Therefore, a relational model can provide great benefits such as: (1). Conceptual simplicity: the
model is very simple and helps to simplify data needs of their clients, (2). Design
implementation: the model will help the company to achieve structural and data independence
i.e. any changes if made to structure of data will not affect accessibility of data, and (3) Ad hoc
capability of query implementation: relational model provides a very easy and flexible way of
data implementation and manipulation. In addition, a relational model helps to organize data in
form of tables. A relational model is composed of three main components: (1), a set of domains and
sets that represents data structure, (2). Integrity rules, which ensures data protection, and (3).
Operations that will be carried on data i.e. process of data manipulation. The experts on relational
models say that it is the most widely used and most evolved method of organizing data Today, all

The earliest systems were implemented based on analog technology and the basic cellular structure
of mobile communication. Many fundamental problems were solved by these early systems.
Numerous incompatible analog systems were placed in service around the world during the 1980s.
The 2G (second generation) systems designed in the 1980s were still used mainly for voice
applications but were based on digital technology, including digital signal processing techniques.
These 2G systems provided circuit‐switched data communication services at a low speed. The
competitive rush to design and implement digital systems led again to a variety of different and
incompatible standards such as GSM (global system mobile), TDMA (time division multiple
access); PDC (personal digital cellular) and CDMA (code division multiple access). These systems
operate nationwide or internationally and are todayК№s mainstream systems, although the data
rate for users in these system is very limited.

Negative Effects Of Corporal Punishment
There have been countless studies done on whether corporal punishment actually works, or if it, in
fact, is instead causing long term adverse effects. Corporal punishment today is seen less and less
with this new generations parents. Corporal punishment was mainly seen in parenting before the
2000s. Cloud (2009) states that sociologist, Murray Straus, found that in a 1968 survey that had
taken place, 94% of Americans agreed that corporal punishmentwas seen as an acceptable form of
discipline. This percentage was then drastically dropped when Americans were re surveyed, and
72% of those people agreed that spankingwas deemed reasonable (Cloud, 2009).

Patrick Lenta (2012) speaks on the injustice that children experience when they are spanked.
Lenta (2012) expresses how these children have rights, just as adults, to not be mistreated

corporal punishment has been found to have serious psychological harm to the child, such as

or her schoolwork due to all the fear, and psychological issues they are trying to deal with as well
as trying to keep up their good grades. Since the child might have a hard time focusing on school
work, this could cause them to start to fail academically, which is an unwanted behavior to most
parents, causing them to get spanked, and this vicious cycle repeats. It has been found, that a type
of psychological effect that has been found in those children who have experienced corporal
punishment as a child has lead to have post traumatic stress disorder, in the same way, abused
children have had (Nyarko, 2017). Nyarko (2017) argues that there has been a correlation between
low self esteem and corporal punishment, and how there is a correlation between self esteem and
academic performance. In turn, this could cause the children who have experienced corporal

Green Winter Through The Kick Starter Website
In efforts to grow the Seedfolk City Farm, Barker initiated Operation Green Winter through the
kick starter website, Indiegogo. This was a community focused urban agriculture project that
helped raise funds to continue operating the greenhouses during the winter. It also enabled them to
provide consistent year round after school employment for four of the young people that helped to
get the project off the ground. This campaign was in addition to several community events held in
efforts to raise money for the green winter . This was as a result of weather implications in
Rochester, NY, which prevented them from growing fresh fruits and vegetables. The pilot
aquaponic farming system would winterize the greenhouse by sustaining a year round farming
operation that enabled them to triple production capabilities with four new vertical grow beds. Not
only did the money raised help physically make these changes possible, but it also provided the
youthwith more after school activities as a result of these expansions.
ProsperRochester has relied on its partnerships to achieve its goals. In order to establish these
greenhouses, ProsperRochester teamed up with In The City/Off The Grid. ICOG is a Rochester
based cooperative business that offers solar installation services and general construction services,
while engaging in community development projects and employee training. Thankfully, ICOG was
able to assist with building and provide solar panels for the greenhouses.

The Vampire Effect Of Dracula
Not many people would think that they can be compared to Count Dracula. Considered to be one
of the most well known monsters of all time, Count Dracula sucks the blood of his victims, which
would ultimately lead to their death. While this seems like a very unique example, it can be
applied to nearly every person, specifically in the college stetting. This phenomenon that can be
linked to this monster is called the vampireeffect. First used in the book ______, this term refers to
the what happens in socialgroups due to different personality types that were caused by a
difference in economic background. Set in a college dormitory, chapter 4 of the book discusses
how there is a difference in the social lives of students who are quiet versus students who are more
outgoing. Students who were shy were generally ignored and did not seem to partake in many
social activities. While Armstrong and Hamilton suggest that the Vampire Effect arises due to the
social students knowingly ignoring and rejecting the shyer students, that is not the case. The cycle
through which the effect takes place starts with self comparison due to economic status, envy, and
self blame, and results in anxiety and self isolation. Although this is done unintentionally,
consciously known factors such debt and class also play a role in the process.
As Armstrong and Hamilton describe the social isolates , Others treated the quieter roommate as
sort of a sidekick or an invisible appendage (105).

Glory And Centerfield Sound Devices
There are many different types of poems. All poems have a meaning to them, and those
meanings are all unique to each and every poem. Much like poems, songs have very many types
and genres and different meanings. Glory , a poem by Yusef Komunyakaa, and Centerfield , a
song by John Fogerty, are very similar to each other. Both poems and songs use poetic language
such as figurative language and sound devices. These help the poem or song flow better, sound
more interesting, and keep the readers or listeners attention. Glory is a poem about young men
who use baseball as an escape from their long, hard work days. When the men got done with work,
they would go to an old baseball field and have fun and connect playing baseball. Although the...

These similarities are not only the topic, but also the uses of sound devices, figurative language,
and imagery. Both the poem and the song are centered around baseball. They both mention
former baseball legends, but Glory uses them to describe the ethnicity, while Centerfield uses
the names to add some context to the song. Both use sound devices such as consonance. In Glory
an example of a consonance is Working knockout shifts daybreak (2) and in Centerfield Don t
say it ain t so, you know the time is now (15). While Glory focuses more on the players and fans,
Centerfield focuses more on the game itself. In Glory it centers in on the players and their agile
nature and the way they play the game. It depicts the fans cheering them on and the umpires
dancing about calling strikes on batters. Centerfield is more about the writer playing the game
and competing to play the position, centerfield. Another difference between the two is the
context in which the game is being played. The young men in Glory had just gotten done with a
long, hard day of work and use the game as an escape from all of that work. It helps them stay
motivated for the week and live life in a better state of mind. Centerfield is not as much as an
escape for the writer, but more as a game that he has known and loved. He is trying to convince his
coach to put him in centerfield, and he feels that he has proven himself to be

Examples Of Grit In Nursing
There are a lot of different ways people could think of grit. My concept of grit would be having
the passion and perseverance to accomplish something. My goal is to one day be a travel nurse.
There are alot things that come with nursing, becoming a travel nurse will be challenging but
with courage, follow through and excellence rather than perfection you can achieve that goal. To
become a travel nurse you need to obtain a bachelors of science in nursing and have no less than
one year of experience in the the speciality applied for. To get your bachelors of science in
nursing you have to go through a five semesters of nursing classes and then pass the NCLEX
exam. To get through five semesters you will need a good bit of courage. There is one quote In
the passage 5 characteristics of grit: how many do you have? that stands out to me the most.
Perlis states, While courage is hard to measure, it is directly proportional to your level of grit.
More specifically, you ability to manage fear of failure is imperative and predictor of success.
(perlis 3). This quote to me says, the level of gritienst will determine how much fear you have of
failure. For me i am pretty scared to fail but in reality that will push me to continue and be
successful. Courage will not only help me obtain my degree but it will also help me in the field of...

The government, in the lights of the trend of international trades, prioritized development in

The Health And Weight Loss
Have you ever wondered why Coca Cola now comes in versions such as light and zero ? If you
have, chances are that you mentally answered your question by saying that the company read your
mind and was fulfilling your desire to lose weight while still indulging in your favorite beverage.
However, the relationship between you and the food giants is quite the opposite. What you think is
healthy or unhealthy is based on research funded by companies that profit off of your food choices,
currently, much of the research regarding health and weight lossis funded by companies such as
Coca Cola and Kellogg therefore therefore, you are the one fulfilling their desire (CBS, 2015).
The idea that large companies and the media dictate our daily lives has slowly become common
knowledge. Therefore, one must be cautious in regards of the sources he or she trusts. For
instance, Steve Blair, who conducts research that supports the idea that obesity in America is
due to lack of physical activity as opposed to calorie consumption has much of his research
funded by Coca Cola, a company which is largely known for its calorie packed drinks and
snacks. Moreover, while Blair s research might be supported by relevant data, so was the research
that justified smoking. Nonetheless, the way data is analyzed can be extremely biased based on
who is paying for the collection and analysis of such data (Freedhoff, 2015).
The increase in the obese population is both an opportunity and a liability to

Stereotyping and racism Everyday someone is abused of their legal rights, and today people are

it is like to be stereotyped, I know many other have experienced the same. Will there ever be a
solution to the society error that we describe as normal? Or would you like it if someone treated
you the way you treat others? Society will change over time due to the human race and their

Risk Of Infection Essay
Recognising the relationship that exists between exercise and risk of infection is an important
concept for athlete to comprehend, as any form of infection can lead to athletes missing the event
or inability to perform to the standard expected (Nieman, 1994). This relationship has been
demonstrated using a J shaped curve which was developed by .......... Overall, this curve implies
that engaging in moderate levels of exerciseis beneficial in its ability to reduce URTI vs non active
people while partaking in prolonged high intensity exercise can have adverse effects and increase
risk of infection to levels higher than that seen in non active individuals.
High intensity exercise and its effect:

Nietzsche And Mill s Ideas Of Freedom
Free to Disagree A primary objective of identifying common ground between Nietzsche and Mill
s ideas of freedom is to define freedom adequately so that it can be used as a basis for
comparison. Each theorist s opinion on what freedom is, however, appears to be fairly distinct.
Mill might describe freedom as the absence of constraints to original, individual thought,
whereas Nietzsche conceptualizes freedom as continual self overcoming to evolve a more
actualized self. Freedom for Nietzsche is overcoming wrong beliefs and creating one s own
values, whereas for Mill, freedom is having the leeway to discover one s own values. In effect,
Mill focuses on the structural protections or necessities that allow creativity to flourish, and
Nietzsche wants to deconstruct those structures that impede that flourishing. Mill emphasizes
optimizing the political and social realms, which in theory then provide a safe haven for
Nietzsche s intrapsychic or spiritual struggle. Thus, Mill s definition could be described as
political whereas Nietzsche s could be understood as transformational. Both strive toward
achieving the highest level of individual potential, and both want to support discovery of one s
most individualized beliefs. Given that each theorist has such distinct views on the definition itself,
however, one needs to extrapolate the essence of what each would consider freedom to be. So for
the purposes of describing how Mill and Nietzsche intersect, this approximation of a

MOM Up Review
MOM UP is a delightful broad comedy. The concept for MOM UP is a lot of fun and delivers a
strong, eccentric, and very colorful protagonist in Roxy Holliday. Even her name is fun.
The goal is clear and the stakes are personal. The script is driven by themes about growing up,
learning to move forward, and appreciating who you are.
There s no doubt that the highlight of this script is Roxy. She s amusing to watch. She s clearly
flawed, controlling and reckless, but there s something very charming about her. She really has a
good heart, but she makes the wrong decisions for the right reasons.

structure and pace that are worthy of discussion.

mature. As mentioned, however, the relationship between her and Bo isn t well understood.
Right now, none of the supporting characters standout, with the exception of Kiley. She s likable
and she has the opportunity to even verbalize some wisdom to Roxy. However, there s really no

The dialogue is sharp and reveals information about the characters. Roxy s voice is very consistent
with her personality. Amanda s voice sounds uptight, which is also congruent with her personality.
There s nice subtext we all eventually become our mother. Make sure to pay this off.

The Cultural Structures Of The United States
Very often people live their lives without the awareness of the basic structures that they are
exposed to and adapted into. The very things that regulate our day to day lives are often
overlooked or never noticed. Johnson discovered this while vacationing in Mexico. While
appreciating his time away from home, he came to realize that he had lost his actual sense of time.
This created a feeling of uneasiness and the general feeling of being lost. Johnson wasn t lost in the
sense of being in an unidentified place; he was lost due to his withdrawal from his cultural time
structure. Nature is not defined by minutes, hours, weeks, or years. Time is a creation of people,
yet in some cultures is regarded as being natural . Because systems are integral to culture, Johnson
came to realize that time organization is much more than creating a distinction between specific
moments within a given day. He realized that the concept of time was created to allow a cultural
structure to regulate itself and to organize the people within it. It allows for efficiency and the
ability of people to conduct themselves within their culture s expectations. These cultural
expectations are what shape the social structures found within a society. The social structures are
the things that design relationships between people and people, people and systems, or systems

An Analysis of Shakespeare s Henry IV Part 1
One of the most appealing elements of Shakespeare s works is that, despite subject matter that is
hardly realistic in today s general society, the heart of each play retains much in terms of human
relationships, central conflicts, and humor. For the scholar the sheer poetry and beauty of
Shakespeare s language remain appealing. Hence, in a play like Henry IV, Part 1, the subject
matter of royalty and civil war from an interesting and dramatic backdrop to more common
themes like the conflicts between personal affection and the duties a person such as Prince
Harry is expected to fulfill. As such, Harry s person affection for Falstaff is ultimately
overridden by his drive to regain the admiration and affection of his father in the name of his
concept of honor not only to the palace, but also to England as a whole. As such, Harry claims
that his affection for Falstaff and his roguish world was simply appearance in order to more
prominently return to the world of duty that he knows is his right and destiny, which could, in
today s terms, be viewed as ultimately dishonorable. When the play opens, the young Prince
Harry s major relationship is with the old and fat knight, Sir Falstaff. The knight, however, is
hardly representative of any type of knighthood that might be expected from a person of the order.
Instead, he is representative of the world of the tavern, where thieves and generally lower class
members of society gather and pass the time either with idle chatter or

Examples Of My Interview With Julia
My key takes away from my interview with Julia is her love for traveling. She talked about her
study abroad trip that she took last semester to Rome, Italy. She told me stories about how she
would spend her days in Italy, which consisted of enjoying her favorite Italian dishes like pizza and
pasta and sightseeing the historical sites such as the Trevi Fountainand the Coliseum. Since she
spent three months in Italy, I asked her if sightseeing ever got repetitive, to which she responded
that she was mesmerized during her time in Romeand that it felt surreal that she was even there so
she would even come back to the same site just to make sure it was a reality. I also found it
interesting that she would walk around Rome alone. She told me that she liked roaming the streets
of Rome to seek an adventure, gain new... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She talked about how her mom inspires her because she holds the house together. She said that
her mom seamlessly excels in her career while maintaining the household. Her mom also makes
it a point to bond with each of her siblings. She amazed by how her mom makes it looks easy and
fun when in reality she knows it takes a lot of work to be that motivated. Julia reflected on the
time her sister got married to one of the moments she felt really energized because she loves
celebrating family. She told me that even though is barely gotten any sleep the night before and
she was still able to get up at 5 am and last until 1 am the next day. She recalled that the event was a
special time in her life because she was able to join in on that special moment in her sister and
brother in laws life and she was able to connect will all of her family that she hasn t seen in years.
Julia also discussed her dream of starting a family of her own. She said that she would like to create
a family one day because family is very important to her and she has always wanted to be a

Hockey Players Are Pretty Good People
So this brings up my first point and ethical dilemma; is it right for the NHL to put their players
in this town? One can argue that is not the responsibility of the NHL to control the actions of
their players, however, is it a good idea to even present the opportunity for a millionaire athlete
to be tempted by this excessive town, that is Las Vegas? Generally, hockey players are pretty
good people, including professionals playing in the NHL, or instance; P.K. Subban, current
Nashville Predator, and former defenseman for the Montreal Canadiens made an outstanding
donation of $10 million dollars to the Montreal Children s Hospital. Nick Foligno, Captain of
the Columbus Blue Jackets also donated $1 million dollars to the Boston Children s Hospital
after they treated his daughter for a congenital heart disease, supporting the positive reputation
of the players, being mostly, kind hearted and generous guys off the ice. On the contrary, hockey
players are known to have a bit of a reputation for being partiers, Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick
Kane has often been spotted having a few more beverages than he should in downtown Chicago,
he also got in trouble with the law back in the summer of 2009 for an altercation with a cab
driver over $0.20 cents. Not to say that every NHL player that visits, or plays in Las Vegas will
be a drug addict and get arrested. Nonetheless, by the NHL placing the Golden Knights franchise in
Las Vegas, it presents a lot of temptation for these young

Western Influence In The Film Chilsu And Mansu
After watching Chilsu and Mansu (1988), the first thing that I ve noticed apart from this film
being in color was the economic development that took place in Seoul compared to the previous
films that we have seen. The image of Seoul in this film was more recognizable to today. I also
found this film to be relative modern. The filmmain female character Jina worked at Burger King
(American establishment) and is a college student. I think she is the first female character that we
ve seen in college and educated. There was also a lot of Western influence in this film. When Chilsu
and Jina went to the movie, they went to see an American film. When they went to the club, there
was American music playing in the background. Jina takes a contemporary... Show more content on

affluent class. In the film, Chilsu and Mansu were both working class men in the painting
industry. They would paint buildings and billboards. Unfortunately, their job wasn t stable and
they would have difficulty finding work. Throughout the film, Chilsu seems to never have any
money and Mansu and his living situation was not the best. I felt that Chilsu was aspiring to be
apart of the affluent class. He essentially was living a double life. When he was with Jina he was
an art student that was going to America to study continue his art studies. He would spend
money that he didn t have on taking Jina to the movies, club, etc. When Chilsu was with Mansu,
he was a painting assistant that never has money. In one scene, Chilsu needed to go pee while
working and he happened to see Jina and her mother shopping. When they were looking at
jewelry, he envisions himself in a suit introducing himself to Jina s mother. In reality, he didn t go
in to the jewelry store and when a man asks him what he was doing there he just ran off. Towards
the end of the film, Chilsu and Mansu went on top of the billboard to vent at their frustration about
being in the working class. The social realism of this film is worth discussing. This film highlights
the struggles that the working classes had to go through. It showed the daily struggle on the
common men in Korea in the 80 s with no

Theme Of The Poem 1958 By Gwendolyn Mcewen
In the poem 1958, Gwendolyn MacEwen describes the high school environment as it would have
been in the late 1950 s. Popular fads among the teenagers during this era are explored in detail. The
prevailing theme throughout the text pertains to the idea of belonging. The poem focuses primarily
on the desire teenagers have to fit in. Throughout this response I will explore the ways in which
this poem differs and relates to the high schoolenvironment today. Secondly I will analyze the
connections between this poem and a modern day movie. Lastly, I will express the ways in
which my personal experiences relate to the central message in the poem. Several elements of
the high school environment during the late 1950 s still exist today. The author mentions that,
those guys spoke in crazy cryptic monosyllables . This statement is still relevant today; however
teenage boys now speak in a form of speech referred to as gangster slang . Typical words include
sup or peace which are used to express phrases such as how are you? or see you later. In the poem
McEwen says that, those girls said nothing and were mean and cracked gum . Mean girls still
continue to grace the school hallways glaring at those more vulnerable. These girls tend to be the
masterminds behind vicious rumours that spread like wildfire throughout the school. McEwen
mentions that the boys learned shop and the girls sewed shaky seams in the dresses they would
never wear. This statement

  • 3. The Process Of Aging And Dying Today s Current Society Being Mortal Introduction The introduction provided a general synopsis of what would be discussed in the book, the process of aging and dying in today s current society, and how that process compares to other cultures and generations. The author, Atul Gawande, also recounted a few memories of his experiences in college and as a new doctor, which created a foundation for which his topic was both presented and elaborated on. Gawande suggests that doctors are fixated on providing constant treatments and surgeries for the terminally ill, but that they never consider acknowledging the inevitable fate of the patient and help them cope with their situation. As Atul continued, he explained how, as a doctor, the greatest satisfaction received... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Gawande also talked about how his father accepted and assimilated into virtually all of american culture, although he could not come to terms with the way that the elderly were treated here. Atul s father never seemed to understand why people in the U.S. Would leave their elderly to live alone or in unfamiliar facilities. The reason this idea felt so foreign to him is due mostly to the fact that his native culture treats the elderly in a much more hands on and involved way. Gawande continued by explaining how his grandfather lived and died with his family. Before dying at the age of 110, Sitaram lived with the children he had raised. While the tradition in India was to have family care for the elderly, Gawande stated that in the U.S., aging has gone from a multi generational responsibility and turned into a private and secluded affair. 2. Things Fall Apart Continuing on, Gawande made the argument that until recent years, every day was a roll of the dice, meaning that death was much more common and uncontrollable than it is now. Gawande likened the aging and dying process to that of a trap door. Suddenly the good health that the person was accustomed to fell underneath their feet, no longer supporting them. He then described how modern medicine has impacted the process of dying and compared it to descending down a hilly road on a mountain rather than a cliff with a steep, immediate drop. ... Compare A P And A Rose For Emily A P + A Rose for Emily A P by John Updike and A Rose for Emily by William Faulkner are two short stories which reveal to be different, odd and even bizarre in several aspects; conversely, on the other hand, they are very similar. One similarity for John Updike, William Faulkner and many other authors, is being that they follow the three act structure, which helps to write their story more effectively. Furthermore, in analyzing A P and A Rose for Emily, we see that both share an overarching theme; however, their symbolism and conflicts are different, they still follow the three act structure; finally, in the end, you will see which one I infer does a better job compared to the other. Survivor accounts suggest that two crowded boats broke up just off the Libyan coast Wednesday, said Carlotta Sami, spokeswoman for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. The 31 survivors were taken to the Italian island of Lampedusa, which has become a rescue hub amid an ever deadlier crisis as migrants depart Africa s northern shores trying to reach Europe. The reports from the survivors could not be independently confirmed, but it is common for migrant ships to be filled far beyond capacity, and hundreds have perished in past sinkings. Essentially, the creation of the economic regional blocs aims to minimize the obstacles between nations that share the same geographic border and to facilitate the circulations of goods and services. In fact, the regional trading blocs differ in terms of political structure and economic objectives, but the rapidity of trading goods and services within the different regions around the globe wouldn t be possible without establishing unified political and economic units. For example, the European Union(EU) as other regional blocs gathers different countries that share the same geographical borders and differ in cultures, languages, and political systems. The Umar Abdullah Johnson Theory of Black Male Alienation posits that a five stage cycle of institutional repression exists that has effectively sent more black men to jail than it has to college. Any attempt to reverse this war against America s most misunderstood population begins with a firm analysis of the process and its origins in boyhood. Americans, including Blacks, have become so desensitized to the pain of Black boys and so expectant of their failures that their pain is often overlooked and their achievements treated like occasional glitches in a system that has successfully made Black boys a permanent underclass in this country. These needs arise in lots of different areas such as healthcare, education and housing. This essay will solely focus on the needs that come up regarding healthcare, and will look to evaluate the current systems and policies in place that are tasked with meeting these needs. Nearly every member of Scottish society will, at some point whether it be at birth or in old age, require some type of health service to support them and meet their needs so it is vitally important that these services are readily accessible and are of a satisfactory standard. These monarchs were Peter the Great, the tsar of Russia, and the emperor of China, Kangxi. At the time of their rules, an economic system called mercantilism formed. This system allowed societies to benefit off of influx of goods from merchants trading. Using this system, in China, the Canton system was formed to open up ports to western societies. Even though, both Kangxi and Peter the Great shared similarities in the way they ruled, they had a variety of differences, which were caused by their background and their country s interests. On the other hand, the diverse backgrounds and experiences of the empires caused them to also have differences in their ways of ruling. These differences could be categorized into two overarching topics, economy and education. Their economies had varied taxation systems and were structured differently. As far as education, the rulers differed in the ways they spread knowledge and the type of knowledge they taught. Comparing these two rulers can produce some similarities shown in the economic systems backed by the time period in which they ruled. Lenta (2012) expresses how these children have rights, just as adults, to not be mistreated unjustly, and how corporal punishment violates these basic rights. He then discusses how corporal punishment has been found to have serious psychological harm to the child, such as fear, or mental issues. This, in turn, could cause the child to have a harder time focusing on his or her schoolwork due to all the fear, and psychological issues they are trying to deal with as well as trying to keep up their good grades. Since the child might have a hard time focusing on school work, this could cause them to start to fail academically, which is an unwanted behavior to most parents, causing them to get spanked, and this vicious cycle repeats. • 26. The Vampire Effect Of Dracula Not many people would think that they can be compared to Count Dracula. Considered to be one of the most well known monsters of all time, Count Dracula sucks the blood of his victims, which would ultimately lead to their death. While this seems like a very unique example, it can be applied to nearly every person, specifically in the college stetting. This phenomenon that can be linked to this monster is called the vampireeffect. First used in the book ______, this term refers to the what happens in socialgroups due to different personality types that were caused by a difference in economic background. Set in a college dormitory, chapter 4 of the book discusses how there is a difference in the social lives of students who are quiet versus students who are more outgoing. Students who were shy were generally ignored and did not seem to partake in many social activities. While Armstrong and Hamilton suggest that the Vampire Effect arises due to the social students knowingly ignoring and rejecting the shyer students, that is not the case. The cycle through which the effect takes place starts with self comparison due to economic status, envy, and self blame, and results in anxiety and self isolation. Although this is done unintentionally, consciously known factors such debt and class also play a role in the process. As Armstrong and Hamilton describe the social isolates , Others treated the quieter roommate as sort of a sidekick or an invisible appendage (105). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Much like poems, songs have very many types and genres and different meanings. Glory , a poem by Yusef Komunyakaa, and Centerfield , a song by John Fogerty, are very similar to each other. Both poems and songs use poetic language such as figurative language and sound devices. These help the poem or song flow better, sound more interesting, and keep the readers or listeners attention. In Glory an example of a consonance is Working knockout shifts daybreak (2) and in Centerfield Don t say it ain t so, you know the time is now (15). While Glory focuses more on the players and fans, Centerfield focuses more on the game itself. In Glory it centers in on the players and their agile nature and the way they play the game. • 38. Nietzsche And Mill s Ideas Of Freedom Free to Disagree A primary objective of identifying common ground between Nietzsche and Mill s ideas of freedom is to define freedom adequately so that it can be used as a basis for comparison. Each theorist s opinion on what freedom is, however, appears to be fairly distinct. Mill might describe freedom as the absence of constraints to original, individual thought, whereas Nietzsche conceptualizes freedom as continual self overcoming to evolve a more actualized self. Freedom for Nietzsche is overcoming wrong beliefs and creating one s own values, whereas for Mill, freedom is having the leeway to discover one s own values. In effect, Mill focuses on the structural protections or necessities that allow creativity to flourish, and Nietzsche wants to deconstruct those structures that impede that flourishing. Mill emphasizes optimizing the political and social realms, which in theory then provide a safe haven for Nietzsche s intrapsychic or spiritual struggle. Thus, Mill s definition could be described as political whereas Nietzsche s could be understood as transformational. Both strive toward achieving the highest level of individual potential, and both want to support discovery of one s most individualized beliefs. Given that each theorist has such distinct views on the definition itself, however, one needs to extrapolate the essence of what each would consider freedom to be. The very things that regulate our day to day lives are often overlooked or never noticed. Johnson discovered this while vacationing in Mexico. While appreciating his time away from home, he came to realize that he had lost his actual sense of time. This created a feeling of uneasiness and the general feeling of being lost. Johnson wasn t lost in the sense of being in an unidentified place; he was lost due to his withdrawal from his cultural time structure. Nature is not defined by minutes, hours, weeks, or years. Time is a creation of people, yet in some cultures is regarded as being natural . Because systems are integral to culture, Johnson came to realize that time organization is much more than creating a distinction between specific moments within a given day. He realized that the concept of time was created to allow a cultural structure to regulate itself and to organize the people within it. It allows for efficiency and the ability of people to conduct themselves within their culture s expectations. These cultural expectations are what shape the social structures found within a society. Hence, in a play like Henry IV, Part 1, the subject matter of royalty and civil war from an interesting and dramatic backdrop to more common themes like the conflicts between personal affection and the duties a person such as Prince Harry is expected to fulfill. As such, Harry s person affection for Falstaff is ultimately overridden by his drive to regain the admiration and affection of his father in the name of his concept of honor not only to the palace, but also to England as a whole. As such, Harry claims that his affection for Falstaff and his roguish world was simply appearance in order to more prominently return to the world of duty that he knows is his right and destiny, which could, in today s terms, be viewed as ultimately dishonorable. When the play opens, the young Prince Harry s major relationship is with the old and fat knight, Sir Falstaff. The filmmain female character Jina worked at Burger King (American establishment) and is a college student. I think she is the first female character that we ve seen in college and educated. There was also a lot of Western influence in this film. When Chilsu and Jina went to the movie, they went to see an American film. When they went to the club, there was American music playing in the background. Jina takes a contemporary... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... affluent class. In the film, Chilsu and Mansu were both working class men in the painting industry. They would paint buildings and billboards. Unfortunately, their job wasn t stable and they would have difficulty finding work. Throughout the film, Chilsu seems to never have any money and Mansu and his living situation was not the best. I felt that Chilsu was aspiring to be apart of the affluent class. He essentially was living a double life. When he was with Jina he was an art student that was going to America to study continue his art studies. He would spend money that he didn t have on taking Jina to the movies, club, etc. When Chilsu was with Mansu, he was a painting assistant that never has money. In one scene, Chilsu needed to go pee while working and he happened to see Jina and her mother shopping. When they were looking at jewelry, he envisions himself in a suit introducing himself to Jina s mother. In reality, he didn t go in to the jewelry store and when a man asks him what he was doing there he just ran off. Towards the end of the film, Chilsu and Mansu went on top of the billboard to vent at their frustration about being in the working class. The social realism of this film is worth discussing. This film highlights the struggles that the working classes had to go through. It showed the daily struggle on the common men in Korea in the 80 s with no ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 48. Theme Of The Poem 1958 By Gwendolyn Mcewen In the poem 1958, Gwendolyn MacEwen describes the high school environment as it would have been in the late 1950 s. Popular fads among the teenagers during this era are explored in detail. The prevailing theme throughout the text pertains to the idea of belonging. The poem focuses primarily on the desire teenagers have to fit in. Throughout this response I will explore the ways in which this poem differs and relates to the high schoolenvironment today. Secondly I will analyze the connections between this poem and a modern day movie. Lastly, I will express the ways in which my personal experiences relate to the central message in the poem. Several elements of the high school environment during the late 1950 s still exist today. The author mentions that, those guys spoke in crazy cryptic monosyllables . This statement is still relevant today; however teenage boys now speak in a form of speech referred to as gangster slang . Typical words include sup or peace which are used to express phrases such as how are you? or see you later. In the poem McEwen says that, those girls said nothing and were mean and cracked gum . Mean girls still continue to grace the school hallways glaring at those more vulnerable. These girls tend to be the masterminds behind vicious rumours that spread like wildfire throughout the school. McEwen mentions that the boys learned shop and the girls sewed shaky seams in the dresses they would never wear. This statement ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
