Hr Planning Factors Affecting Managment And Talent Policy
I)HR planning factors affecting resourcing and talent policy
Three organisational benefits of a diverse workforce
Increased productivity:
Diversity increases employee morale, and causes employees, who feel valued and fairly treated, to
work more efficiently. Besides, a mix of experiences, skills, backgrounds bring fresh ideas and
encourage employees to learn from each other, which lead to a greater productivity.
Broader customer base and market competitiveness:
A diverse workforce is well placed to understand the needs of a wide range of customers and
interact with a broad client base.
Positive employer branding:
Diversity is seen favourably by many and improve the public perception of the brand, and draw
new talent in.

Staffing efficiency: as LPQ deals with a high turnover and solutions must be identified.
Factors that affect an organisation s talent planning, recruitment and selection policy
Internal factors include
Business objectives: these may involve expansion, modernisation and bring a change in demand for
the number of staff it employs.
Culture: for instance gamekeeper organisations make efforts to hold onto and grow the talent they
have while poacher organisations recruit readymade replacements. Or organisation committed to
CSR will take into account the needs of the local community in their recruitment. Then values (e.g.
teamwork, CSR) can draw new talents in and retain staff. Finally recruitment methods are chosen to
project the right image.
External factors include:
Economy: for instance recession requires organisations to cut cost and often lead them to develop
more talent in house and retain rather than recruit talent, and an increase for temporary and contract
workers.
Supply and demand: if there is a limited supply, the organisations may depend upon internal
sources by providing training and development programs, or may have to pay more to attract
recruits or may plan to recruit less skilled employees and train them. II)Job analysis: Job

Skateboarding Memoir
Another memoir? It feels like the teachers in every grade meet and come up with the same
assignments. It s pointless. At least it s like a free period. It s why I sat in the back. I can be
fully secluded and do what I want, even though it s a large open library. Jam out, watch some
videos, whatever. I won t do well on this paper or in this class, but forget it. School just doesn t
seem important compared to anything else in my life. In every class I just sit and think of all the
better things I could be doing. Why do I have to be stuck here? I should just walk out. My life has
just been going downhill for the past few years. Who would wantto write about that? Nonetheless
have somebody read it. A few minutes ago, my teacher asked why I didn t... Show more content on

I m in the library so I m sure they won t care too much that I m reading instead of doing actual
work. Aside from music, skateboarding is the other half of my life. I ve probable written more
stories about it than music. I don t have an end goal in it, I just love it. It s fun weather I m
progressing or not ; chilling or trying some banger. But just as music goes, it takes up so much
time. It s always one of the two. Thinking of guitar riffs in math, thinking of some handrail to
grind in Physics. The skatepark is right near the school too. Every period I walk past a door and
consider going for it. I m actually getting kind of good too. It s torture, I just picture the
progression I could be making. Landing new tricks, stacking some decent clips, it s awesome.
Not to mention all the hemies. They hype it up and then everything just turns into a party. I ve
always wanted to go on a music/skate tour. One of my bands would hop in a van and go touring
playing shows. Along the way we d skate, hit spots and try and make a short video edit. That
would be the dream life... Sadly I m stuck in school. Not to mention all the other things eating up
my time. Although there s things I enjoy, there s things I m not fond of like work. My job isn t
the worst. The pay is fair, the people are kind. Although if I didn t needmoney in life I wouldn t be
wasting my time. Who would? Then there s any work my family gives me. They don t usually
give me work, but that s why I do it. Aside from that there s all the school work outside of school.
It seems some teachers are beginning to understand that we have lives to live and that no one does
homework. It s all just pointless busy work

GVAHEC Staff Meeting
For this week internship, I have attended GVAHEC staff meeting on Monday September 11 at
apache Junction location. They usually do staff meeting every first Monday of the month to discuss
about their organization, but for this month, they had to postponed the meeting to the second
Monday of the month due to unavailability of some staff members. The purpose of the meeting was
to discuss how to make the organization function better. One thing that they focused on during the
meeting was the sponsorship opportunity. They want to look for more agencies that can fund their
organization. So, some people came up with new idea, which has been taken into consideration. I
believe that every month, each staff member is required to participate any meeting... Show more

Remember that one of GVAHEC s missions is to educate underserved population about healthy
behavior. One staff member attended excel training, she also shared her knowledge about how to
protect their system from hackers. Another person attended community health graduation.
GVAHEC provides support to healthcare students who have financial problem, so, some of their
students have graduated. I think this meeting was very useful to me because I have learned
some new things. For example, I have learned how to look for fund raising opportunity, so, in
the future, if I work with an organization that needs sponsor, I think I can help. I have also
learned through this meeting that when I will be working with this type organization, it is very
important to learn new things from other organizations that will help my organization to prosper.
On Wednesday September 13, I went to the Phoenix location. We have finished our project
regarding St Mary s food bank presentation. So, two weeks from now, we will be presenting. I
have learned many things through this project. For example, in my future career, if I am asked to

The World War I Led From The Imperialist Age Of The 19th...
World War I led to the deaths of over 70 million people in Europe, and destroyed the already weak
infrastructure left from the imperialist age of the 19th century. During this time of rebuilding,
Germany turned to people they believed would help them rebuild. The people who would rebuild
would also destroy the freedoms of the German people through their aggressive takeover. This
takeover by the German National Socialist Party, dubbed the Nazi Partyby Bavarians, was defined
for the brutality and the totalitarian government by which it ruled. So the question is, how did
they take over? How did a party made from the hands of but 5 people manage to conquer all of
Germany during the 1930s? This is due to the harsh stipulations enforced by the post war efforts of
the allied powers and the following collapse of many European countries. Lack of International
Cooperation led to the blaming of the Central Powers of Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, and the
Ottoman Empire after the first World War. The only problem with this was that Germany was the
only nation intact after the Armistice Day in 1918. Germany s Imperial government had been
overthrown in the German November Revolution of 1918 and had been set up as the new Weimar
Republic. This meant that, reluctantly, the German Reichstag had to accept blame for all damages
created by the war and the Central Powers. In 1919, after the conclusion of World War I, a formal
treaty was signed. This treaty, known as the Treaty of Versaille,

The Role Of The Social Worker
A dignified life is the undeniable right to all members of a community. Regrettably, their is a
sizable population of individuals who have difficulty accessing resources that could potentially
enhance their opportunity for self determination. Basic human needs and services catalyze dignity
and self determination. The role of the social worker is quintessential in connecting individuals in
need with helpful and life altering resources. Social workers have the difficult task of developing
institutional knowledge of resources and services associated with their field. The task is further
compounded with ever changing institutional policies. However, resource allocation is just a one
part of the social workprofession. Every client has a distinctive need and set of circumstances which
require careful inspection. Social workers engage in dynamic problem solving and individual
analysis to determine the proper recourse for each and every individual client. Analysis, research,
and interviews are paramount in understanding the needs of every client. Aside from an individual
evaluation, social workers need to determine the greater conditional forces. Part of the dynamic
process is understanding the socio economic aspect that contributes to inequity. Understanding
diversity and socio economic challenges of various group provides context from which the
individual s issues complications can be better assessed. The entirety of this analysis provides an

Hip Hop Music Mirrors All Urban Society
Hip Hop Music Mirrors All Urban Society
From 1950 to the late 1980 s, social conflicts all over the world encouraged the success of Hip
Hop due its ability to mirror the negative and positive aspects of society, and in doing this, the
concept of Hip Hop s real lyrics were very easily translated and adopted overseas. To understand
Hip Hop s ability to migrate around the world, it must be understood what Hip Hop was created
out of. First, American Urban society, from the Civil Rights Era until now has matured, creating
Hip Hop s lyrics in both its negative recap of the destruction of South Bronx and the new AIDS
epidemic and positive reenactment of the solution brought by the Civil Rights Era and the urban
society s ability to attain ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I m trying not to loose my head. It s like a jungle sometimes, it makes me wonder how I keep from
going under , where he descriptively narrated about his life in the Bronx. Even though African
Americans are increasing their financial incomes and attending universities at a higher percentage
(African American History Month: February 2006), they also, unfortunately, have the highest
reported percentage of HIV/AIDS cases (Fact Sheet: HIV/AIDS among African Americans) and
collectively are more poor than any other race in US (2006 Census Poverty and Income Data).
Reacting to this major change in urban society where Hip Hop was created, the lyrical content
changed to reflect that. As forty nine percent of the African American Community suffer from HIV
/AIDS (Fact Sheet: HIV/AIDS among African Americans) in addition to having the highest
poverty percentage among any race, the artist Common mentions the effect of AIDS and the
poverty issue plaguing African American society in his song Misunderstood released this past
summer. Evidently the lyrical content of Hip Hop directly mirrors urban American society. On an
international scale, the social and economic despair was caused by most of Europe s inability to
repair itself fast enough after the Cold War and their own civil disputes. Cold War, which happened
during the 1945 through 1960, affected the entire world individually. As late at 1990, Europe still
saw the immediate aftermath of the Cold War. Pete Gumbel, Newsweek

I Have A Bad Feeling About This By Jeff Strand

I read the realistic fiction novel I Have a Bad Feeling About This by Jeff Strand for my book
talk. The setting of I Have a Bad Feeling About This is taken place in Strongwoods Survival
Camp, a camp where adolescents learn how to stand up for themselves and learn to survive. The
protagonist of the novel, Henry Lambert, is sent to a survival camp by his father because he
believes that Henry is in need of self confidence and strength. The main character loathes the idea
at first; however, he later finds out that his best friend Randy is coming along with him and so he
agrees to go. At camp, Henry and Randy make acquaintances with three other teenagers: Stu,

The story s theme conveys to the audience that if you work hard and don t give up, you can

weak nerd, You re smart, your grades are fantastic...Your mother and I don t expect you to
become captain of the football team or even demonstrate mild competence at bowling, but
wouldn t it be nice if bullies didn t kick sand in your face? (5). Later in the novel, the author
states, [Henry] shot a bull s eye! An actual bull s eye! He didn t even care that it wasn t the same
target he d been aiming at! (33). This shows how Henry, a lazy teenager who plays video games
all day, accomplishes to shoot a bull s eye; however, this is just a minor achievement and it gets
better towards the end of the story. By the conclusion of the novel, Henry is able to defeat the bad
guys with the help of his friends, Mr. Grand, Ethan, and Chad were tied up and being held at
gunpoint by Randy (236). To conclude, the story showed that one is capable of doing anything, or

Naturalism In The Gilded Age
In 1865 through 1914, roughly the same time period that is considered the Gilded Age, two literary
movements were introduced. Realism and naturalism have similarities and they have their
differences. Both have very basic views on humanity and religion is absent from both movements.
They focused on the real world instead. Realism, though, let writers voice their opinions, concerns,
struggles and focused on literary technique. It had a faithful representation on life. Naturalism, on
the other hand, was the other literary movement happening in this time period. Naturalism started
a few years later around 1880 and lasted around 1915 like realism. Naturalism focuses on lower

Crane continues to show the scene of Maggie s apartment as she compares her lifestyle to Pete,
Turning, Maggie contemplated the dark, dust stained walls, and the scant and crude furniture of
her home...Some faint attempts she had made with blue ribbon, to freshen the appearance of a
dingy curtain, she now saw to be piteous (Crane 1017). Her problem is that she over thinks it all
and everything starts to look bad. The more she falls in love with Pete, the worse her apartment
looks to her throwing her deeper into despair. Being in a lower class more often than not, comes
with poverty. With the idea of what class, you are born into shapes what class you will continue
to live in and how you will live, Maggie and her family learned a method of scraping by. It seems
to be effective enough because they do eat, just not in the French style that included nine
separate courses. When a lower class family, like Maggie s, hosts a dinner party the guests eat a
four course meal: soup fish, meat, and dessert. Crane explains how Maggie went to a different
neighborhood to beg for change in the third chapter of his story, She received daily a small sum
in pennies. It was contributed, for the most part, by persons who did not make their homes in that
vicinity (Crane 1010). Maggie would not get very far if she begged in her neighborhood when most

Sikhism and Hinduism Comparison
The Status and Role of Women in Hinduism and Sikhism Renee Thompson 996976438 Professor
Shiu Monday July 4th, 2011. Religion plays a crucial role in the daily lives of millions of people.
This is even more evident in India. Hinduism and Sikhism are two very prominent religions in this
nation (Pinkham, 1967). These two religions are closely linked but also have many distinct
practices. Issues of the position of women in society, attitudes towards the caste system, and
methods of worship are critical aspects of both religions. Among the many distinct practices that are
shared between the religions of Hinduism and Sikhism is the status of women. In Hinduism,
women can attain a certain status in that they can either become a nun or... Show more content on

Nonetheless, within the Hindu religion, women s roles have evolved over time and women are
going against the social norm of their tradition and their way of life in hopes of being treated in
the same manner that Sikh women are within Sikhism (Desai, et al., 1995). Hindu women s
traditional roles in the household in India have changed over the past century. The influence of
Western scholars as well as Sikhism views on women has brought change to the overall status and
role of women in Hinduism so that Hindu women can be recognized in the same way that Sikhism
women are. Western scholars who have studied Hinduism have written many books and articles on
the sacred scriptures including reviews on the Vedas (hymns and ritual texts) and other religious
scriptures that at one point were restricted from Hindu women. As a result of these reviews, the
ongoing reconstruction of the social status and roles of Hindu women has brought about many new
changes in Hinduism. Some of these changes include changes in education, health measures,
problems of early marriages, the positions of widows, and the representation of women in
governing bodies (Desai, et al., 1995). For example, within Hinduism now,

Involvement of Parents in Their Child s Development
Project Part 3
For a working woman, maternity leave is a standard part of giving birth. Physically, the new
mother needs that time to recover from the birthing process, but there is an emotional reason, too.
Experts preach over and over that for those first few weeks of a baby s life, it needs the interaction
and touch of its mother to help with bonding to start their development on the right track. Shouldn t
the father be part of that process as well? Shouldn t the father of the new child be able to take
paternity leave from work? I believe they should, not only to bond with the child, but to help the
mother with her recovery and to coordinate visitors, appointments and any errands that may be
needed. Some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Friends, relatives, and neighbors alike all want to see the new bundle of joy. Some may want to
cook dinner for the new family and having the father home on paternity leave would help take
this stress off the new mother. When the mother is sleeping or caring for the child, the father
could coordinate with everyone wanting to visit so that the new family is not bombarded with
everyone at once. A mother having to deal with her own recovery as well as caring for the child
could easily get overwhelmed dealing with all the requests. On top of coordinating visitors, the
father could manage the doctor s appointments or errands to get supplies. Some mothers are on
medication after birth and shouldn t drive, not to mention that most new mothers don t want to
take their newborn to a grocery store in those first few weeks. Besides the obvious benefit to a
child s development, paternity leave is beneficial to the family as well. Research has shown that in
families that the father takes paternity leave, fewer divorces occur. This helps the family by
strengthening it and not having the father only play the role of being the primary bread winner.
This creates a happy family, which extends to the workplace as well. One might think there would

These hormones can cause a wide range of symptoms. Most the time, mothers with postpartum
psychosis do not have control of their own emotions, making them very harmful to themselves
and to others. Psychology Today writer Mark Levy explains that though PPD is serious, the
severity of this type of psychosis has a predominant symptom which is a break with reality a loss
of the ability to discern what is real from what is not (Levy, 2002). Mothers with psychosis may
hear voices, have hallucinations or delusions. The Journal of Behavioral Health Services
Research have determined that Postpartum women with obsessional thoughts have been noted to
have aggressive obsessions to harm their infants (Coates, 2004). Osvaldo Mejia, who had a
personal experience with this illness involving his wife, explains his encounter: She complained
that she was tired but could not sleep and ate little. She told him she was scared but could not
explain why (Black, 2013). Soon after, Mejia realized that his wife must have been suffering from
postpartum psychosis when he found his nine month old baby boy stabbed in his crib. Many
people think that psychosis and bipolar disorder are connected in some ways. Many research has
proven that there might be a relationship between the two disorders, and even some misdiagnoses.

Analysis Of O Brother Where Art Thou
Two Journeys One Tale
The Odyssey is an eight century epic by Homer which depicts the journey of Odysseus as he
attempts to return to his home at Ithaka after the fall of Troy. During his travels, Odysseus faced
many obstacles whom he had to overcome. In order to do so, Odysseus had to prove his
intellectual capacity, strength and determination. O Brother Where Art Thou is a 2000 adventure
film which follows the journey of a man named Ulysses Everett McGill as he attempts to make his
way back home with two fellow convicts after escaping prison. Although it lacks the structure and
does not follow sequence of events of the odyssey, the film portrays many of the fundamental
concepts and ideas explored in The Odyssey. In this paper, I will explore the themes of the power
of cunning over strength, temptation and vengeance in the Odyssey, in order to depict how they are
portrayed in the film O Brother Where Art Thou and demonstrate the similarities in both tales.
First, one of the recurring themes in the Odyssey is that of cunningness over strength. Although
Odysseus was known to be a strong and powerful of individual, his cunning was his strongest
asset when it came to overcoming the obstacles in his travels. Instead of relying solely on his
strength, he relies on his minds ability to deceive and manipulate individuals to do as he pleases.
An example of this is seen when Odysseus with the help of Athena disguises himself as an old
beggar. Instead of simply going to his home

Medical Malpractice
Medical Malpractice
The doctor patient relationship has been defined differently through the years. In the beginning it
developed into a common calling which meant doctors practiced medicine as a duty to their
patients. Laws were developed to protect patients, therefore doctors used proper care and expert
skill. In the past six centuries, medical malpractice has increased, which lead to revision and
addition to the law. Liability was introduced along with the GIANT of all torts , negligence. Now
in today s society, a doctor s duty is to use reasonable care, skill and judgment in the practice of his
/her profession and when negligent, take full responsibility. What is malpractice? Malpractice is

In cases like these the doctor is incredibly egotistical and is playing God.
Physicians
who ignore patient requests or fail to ask for consent only build communication barriers and ruin
the profession s reputation. Many people believe doctors are the real victims. They feel doctors
are confined from performing and medical students limit career options in fear of being sued.
There are some illegitimate and ungrateful citizens who insist on filing suits when doctors are
not at fault. When a family member dies, the loss may cause anger and looking for a doctor to
sue seems like the right thing to do. It is human nature to always look for a party at fault in any
tragedy. Doctors fears of malpractice awards also result in bad medical care. New procedures carry
a higher risk of harm and second guessing later, so doctors stick to conventional treatments, even in
terminal cases, for fear the treatment may hasten the patient s death. The opposite is also true, both
overtesting and overtreating are standard methods of beating malpractice suits. Thousands of
unneeded surgeries are performed each year. Expensive technology is regularly misused В– CAT
scans to diagnose simple headaches, for example. Also, the few plaintiff s who win unrealistically
high awards raise insurance costs for all doctors. (Nolo Press editors, # 32) In fact, the Canadian

from lack of appeal to a wider audience, geared toward more teenage video game buffs and

Without a doubt, the major appeal in Tronis the minimal use of CGI and spectacular animation that

Lisberger is best remembered today for Tron and for directing the underrated sci fi film, starring
Mark Hamill called Slipstream (1989). The inspiration for Tron occurred in 1976 when Steven
Lisberger, then an animator of drawings with his own studio, looked at a sample reel from a
computer firm called MAGI and saw Pong for the first time. He was immediately fascinated by
video games and wanted to do a film incorporating them (Wikipedia). Lisberger teamed up with
writer Bonnie MacBird by researching computer science and video game ideas, and eventually
came up with the bases for the story of Tron. The screenplay was later written by Lisberger, his
business partner Donald Kushner, became producer. Kushner is also responsible for the series
Automan (1983 1984), TV s holographic crime fighter that looked very similar to Tron by using
the same FX. Disney decided in 1981 to film Tron completely in 65 mm Super Panavision (except
for the computer generated layers, which were shot in VistaVision and both anamorphic 35mm
and Super 35 which were used for some scenes in the real world and subsequently blown up to
65mm (Wikipedia). Cinematography for Tron was by Bruce Logan and edited by Jeff Gourson.

Face Off

Face/Off is a 1997 action film directed by John Woo, starring John Travolta and Nicolas Cage. The
two both play an FBI agent and a terrorist, sworn enemies who assume the physical appearance of
one another.
е†…е®№
The film exemplifies gun fu and heroic bloodshed action sequences, and has Travolta and Cage
each playing two personalities. It was the first Hollywood film in which Woo was given complete
creative control and was acclaimed by both audiences and critics. Eventually grossing $245
million worldwide, Face/Off was a financial success, as well as Woo s highest grossing American
film.

To Woo s credit, he doesn t stick strictly to action. Face/Off is only in overdrive for about two
thirds of its running length. The rest of the movie is devoted to such mundane tasks and plot
exposition, character and relationship development, and ruminations on philosophical issues like
identity. While there s very little of the latter (certainly not enough to turn off viewers who don t
like their action leavened with anything intellectual), there is enough to give Face/Off an
interesting subtext. How much of who we are is determined by our physical appearance? And,
if we re given the face of another, how like that person are we likely to become? These issues aren t
explored too deeply, but, to Woo s credit (and to that of the screenplay, by Mike Werb amp;
Michael Colleary), they are addressed.
Such weighty questions are posed because the two main characters swap faces and identities.
Sean Archer (John Travolta) is a dedicated federal officer whose obsession with bringing down
one particular master criminal, Castor Troy (Nicolas Cage), has blinded him to all other concerns.
Six years ago, Troy s attempt to kill Archer went wrong, and Archer s young son was killed. Since
then, a thirst for revenge has driven the FBI agent to pursue Troy with a single minded
relentlessness that has alienated both his wife (Joan Allen) and his teenage daughter (Dominique
Swain). When the latest

How Princess Culture Is All Round Us
Princess culture is all round us, whether we realize it or not. Princess culture incorporates many
downfalls to women. We have all grown up with the pressures of this culture. Women are viewed
as lower than the man, having to struggle in a male dominated society. Stereotypes, racial issues
and marginality are just a few predicaments that women had been portrayed as, in the world of the
princess culture. Many Cinderellastories have been told in many different cultures that come from
all around the globe. Rob Baum correctly stated, Folktales had their origins in oral accounts, stories
told by people before the advent of writing, or before someone determined them worthy of literary
transcription Socrates). People only took up the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another stereotype taught from Disney is that men are saviors. In Rapunzel, she is saved from the
tower by a man. In the Lion King, Simba returns to his pride to save, what is left of his father s
pride, which is shown to be mostly females, A scene in this move, Nala tells Simba that he is
their only hope signifying that a man can only save females. Hercules stereotypes that men must
be hot, buff and white. During the movies, Snow White and Cinderella, the women are forced to
do chores such as cooking cleaning. When there is a woman in charge, back to The Little
Mermaid, the sea witch Ursula, had just about as much power as Kind Triton, but she was
portrayed as evil. Jessica Rose pointed out, The perception of women are either weak victims in a
male dominated society or evil and corrupt when in a position of equal or higher status (Prezie).
The story of Cinderella has many different versions, from all dissimilar cultures. As we know our
Cinderella, the story contains many females. The stepmother, stepsistes, the fairygod mother, and
herself. Cinderella only gets her happily ever after due to her natural beuty and being able to stomp
over the ones who tried to conceal her. This demonstrates that females compete with each other to
have the marital status they want. Cinderella wins, because she pretends to be something she is
truly not. In an article Laure Liddle wrote, she theorizes, It is vital that Cinderella must impress her

My survey contained ten questions developed around the idea of trying to connect high school
drop out rates and incarceration rates. It was administered to ten people on my floor, three males
and seven females. Overall, it is believed that crime is committed because people need to support
themselves and/or their family. A majority chose 65% as the percentage of inmates in prison who
are high schooldropouts, when the correct percentage was 80%. In addition, they thought more high
schooldropouts were unemployed, when as of 2012 it was only 12% (Frontline). The most

I did not realize how careful you have to be when writing the questions because originally I
thought that if I understand what the question is asking, everyone will understand too.
However, each person has a different perspective which is why there was a range of answers. I
had to watch how I worded each question, if I made them too confusing or led them on to a
specific answer. I had to use different formats because multiple choice is not acceptable for
every question. In addition, for the available answers, I had to make sure they were as simple as
possible in order not confuse the testers. I learned that the survey display is very important to
how the question is interpreted; the multiple choice questions made them feel overwhelmed even
though those are the best way to give a simple survey. For the most part the questions were clear
and the collected responses supported the concept I was interested about. If I could improve how

change the number answers to make them more friendly because those questions tripped people up.

Visible Light Communication Essay
1.INTRODUCTION
Visible light communication (VLC) is an upcoming technique which can be used for data
communication which uses visible light. Li fi is a subset of OWC Optical wireless communication
and it can be used as a complement to RF communication (Wi Fi or cellular network).
As Lamps are the common source of room lighting, they are providing a new pathway for linking
mobiles to the Internet, with the potential for wider bandwidth and it has a quicker response time
than Wi fi. As there are differnet sources, the speed of the transmission also varies. Ordinary
lamps can transmit the signal with the speed of 10kbit/s whereas LEDs are used to get
transmission speeds upto 500Mbit/s and with the help of powerful LEDs we can achieve the speed
of 10 Gbit/s.
At the receiving side, Devices containing photodiode receive signals from light sources. In few
cases, digital camera may also be sufficient. The sensors used for receiving signals are infact an
array of photodiodes(pixels), where each one can be used as separate channel to provide multi
channel propagation.
PLC Power Line Communication is also like VLC, developed in the same era and is the method
of transmitting data on transmission lines meant for electric power distribution to comsumers. The
basic principle involved in PLC is that these can be operated by adding a carrier signal to the
existing wiring system. The propagation problem is a limiting fator for PLC s. Low Frequencies

Problem Of Cyberbullying In The United States
Cyberbullying has become a prevalent problem over the past decade in the United States. This is
due to the radical updates in technology and the easy access that teens have to these electronic
resources. Whether at school, a local coffee shop, or in their own home, teens can gain access to
computers, and are able to use them for cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is bullyingthat takes place
online or through any electronic device such as a computer or cellphone. There are many different
ways to bully someone through these devices. This includes text messages, emails, direct messages

The Trial No Search Warrant
Facts of the Case:
Mapp was arrested for possessing obscene pictures, after police illegally obtained them. At the time
Ohio had a statute that made the possession of obscene literature criminal. At Mapp s trial no

vs Colorado found that evidence obtained from an unlawful search and seizure is admissible in
criminal prosecution. On appeal, the Supreme Court of the United States reversed the judgment and

However, the concurring opinion gave by Justice Hugo Black stated that the fourth amendment ban
against unreasonable searches and seizures along with the fifth amendment s ban against forced self

Another concurring opinion was made by Justice William Douglas believed that the officers had
violated Mapp s right to privacy .
Dissenting Opinion:
Justice Harlan, Justices Frankfurter and Whittaker dissented. Justice Harlan wrote the dissenting
opinion. In his dissent, Justice Harlan argued that the majority confronted the wrong issue in its
decision. Because Mapp was convicted under an Ohio statute criminalizing the possession of
obscene material, Justice Harlan believed that the new and pivotal issue was whether this statute is
consistent with the rights of free thought and expression assured against state action by the
Fourteenth Amendment.(Mapp vs Ohio) He concluded that the majority had ignored the principles
of judicial restraint and stare decisis, and had reached out to consider the exclusionary rule issue.
According to Justice Harlan, this was a First Amendment case and not an appropriate case for
extending the Fourth Amendment s exclusionary rule to the states. He also concluded that it was
wrong to impose the exclusionary rule, designed for the federal criminal process, on the states

Marine Debris In The Florida Keys
Abstract:
Marine debris was collected and placed into categories at Long Key State Park in the Florida
Keys. Data was taken on Thursday, March 26th, 2015. The total number of debris collected totaled
at 835 items. The most common type of marine debris collected during this experiment was
assorted plastics totaling at 513 pieces (61.43%). Many of the debris collected where small and
unidentifiable.
Introduction:
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) define marine debrisas any
persistent solid material that is manufactured or processed and directly or indirectly, intentionally or
unintentionally, disposed of or abandoned into the marine environment (NOAA, 2015). Marine
debris is classified into two categories: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For millennia, terrestrial plant matter, seeds, and driftwood have travelled across the open
oceans with the help of surface currents. Even floating islands, also known as tussocks, floatons,
or sudds are common in many Florida lakes and across the world (Mallison, C.T., 2001). These
islands have been known to carry exotic plants and vertebrate animals. Floating islands promote
trans ocean dispersal of marine and terrestrial organisms. This increases biodiversity and helps
new barren islands thrive. However, in the last five decades, with the growing number of
plastics in the marine environment, the dispersal and occurrence of these organisms has
increased exceedingly (Gregory, R.M., 2009). This paves the way for invasions by alien and
even aggressive invasive species to establish themselves in new ecosystems beyond their native
range. A survey done in 2009 reported that over 150 marine species have established themselves
due to marine debris stranded on the shores of northern New Zealand. Most of these organisms
were identified as crustaceans. Four of those organisms discovered are featured in figure 3.

Outline The Benefits Of Human Cloning
Human cloning has been widely misrepresented as a result of sci fi movies and other means of
technology. This idea that human cloning is a perversion of nature, comes from the seed that
has been planted by the film producers, that cloning is creating mass copies of a person. Movies
such as Star Wars gives a false impression of what clones are, they make it seem that they are evil
beings that will eventually take over the world, have no personality and are under control by a sole
creator. It is important, before anyone sets their mind against this scientific discovery that they
fully understand what it is and how it can benefit society. This report will explain what it is and

Genetic engineering could give parents a chance to advantage their child and the good of society
as a whole. What Silver (2001) is trying to say is that parents with money, the upper class, will be
able to give their children a better opportunity to strive, by selecting good looking genes,
intellectual and jock genes so they can excel in all areas. This may lead to segregation and It ll
increase the gap between those who have money countries with money, people with money and
those who don t. (Lee Silver, 2001) Those with money, which genetically engineer their children are
the ones who might exploit human cloning and simply clone their perfect children. This might
lead to the upper class becoming a group of perfect people and it could potentially get to a point
where it becomes socially unacceptable for the upper class to breed with the people who aren t
genetically engineered. Though this argument is very farfetched, most people want to have
children with their partner and because of this, Silver and I are confident that human cloning will
never have an impact in society.
As a result of sci fi movies and fictional texts, human cloning has been widely misrepresented,
which means people who believe that they are against the idea, probably wasn t well educated
about this scientific discovery. I believe human cloning is something that would definitely impact
the society in a positive way. Not only would it let mothers who desperately want a child of her
genetic makeup, a chance at motherhood. Also it is good to lengthening the lifespan of a person

Descriptive Essay On Fitness
Chillin with Dillon As I knocked on the heavy, black door to our local fitness center, I stood and
waited as a woman put down her dumb bells and made her way over to the door to let me in. The
moment I entered the gym I immediately noticed the smell of rubber mats and disinfectant spray.
I sat quietly in the single black chair placed by the door, watching a few people silently do their
workouts, as I waited for Jess Dillon to be done with her last client of the day so we could talk.
Soon, a small, petite woman, who seemed no taller than 5 3 walked out of the back room wearing
black workout pants along with a light pink tank top. She had her short, dark hair up in a
ponytail and met my gaze with a soft smile. I immediately recognized her as Jess and followed
her out of the gym. We walked through a brown door placed on the far west side of the fitness
center which led to the lobby area outside of her private lessons studio. It was clean and had a
calming aroma. There was a single wooden table with four matching chairs placed around it. Jess
sat down very comfortably on the far side of a table, talking with ease from the very beginning.
Jess is an outstanding woman in our small community due to her hard worth ethic, belief in others,

A Report On The Stirling Engine
The Stirling engine, noted for its high efficiency, converts heat energy to mechanical work. A
typical Stirling cycle consists of four phases compressing cool gas, heating the gas, expanding the
hot gas, and finally cooling the gas before repeating the cycle. The engines can run on heat from
solar, geothermal, biological, nuclear sources or waste heat from industrial processes, can be built
to run quietly and don t produce any emissions. In contrast to other solutions used in solar thermal
technology, Stirling engines don t have an inherent mechanism for storing heat. Stirling engine
based combined heat and power plant (CHP) fuelled with biomass represents a technological
breakthrough within onsite renewable energy generation. A system working on biofuel is a step
towards utilisation of clean energy source. In biomass type wood chips and waste wood pallets are
used which is environment friendly.
Ideal Stirling Cycle
The Stirling cycle is a thermodynamic cycle that describes the general class of Stirling devices.
This includes the original Stirling engine that was invented, developed and patented in 1816 by
Reverend Dr. Robert Stirling with help from his brother, an engineer [1]. The ideal Stirling
Cycle consists of 4 individual processes with end points as marked in the Fig. 1[2]. Here the
isothermal compression stroke (process 1в†’2) takes place by removing heat, Q12, from the

industry standard than Darden is, with Darden s liquidity slightly below the norm for restaurants of

Reflection Paper On Domestic Violence Legal Clinic
I am an intern at the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic, located on the first floor of the Domestic
Violence Courthouse of Chicago at 555 W Harrison St. The clinic offers free civil legal
assistance to low income victims of domestic violence. I have been interning at the clinic since
August 28, 2017 for 15 20 hours a week. I originally intended to intern on Mondays and Fridays
from 8:30AM 4:30 PM, but due to holidays and instances in which the clinic was closed on
Fridays, I now also intern on Wednesdays from 8:30 AM 12:30 PM. A typical day for me at the
clinic begins at 8:30 AM, when the buildings opens. The actual court opens for first returns of
service 9:00 AM. I usually wait around 30 45 minutes until the clients fill out their intakes
before we proceed with the paperwork they need to file an order of protection. If there are no
clients by 9:30 AM, I usually go to the second floor to observe in court. Most of the time this
consists of cross examinations, which I don t observe often when I work with Pro Se litigants in
the afternoon. In other instances, when clients are not able to stay for the whole process of filing
an order of protection on Fridays, they come back on Mondays and I help them as soon as I get to

The Pros And Cons Of Cryptography
INTRODUCTION
Cryptography Is considered the most important thing by means of secure communication. It is used
to encrypt and decrypt data and provide secure communication between the sender and receiver. As
a finance company, the most important thing to look after is the process speed and security of the
data. There are two types of encryption and decryption methods known as a Symmetric key and
Public key cryptography. Symmetric key has set of algorithms such as Blowfish, two fish, DES,
3DES, AES etc and on the other hand Asymmetric key has set of an algorithm such as Elliptic

Asymmetric cryptography:
Asymmetric encryption is also known as public key encryption. This uses two keys for
encryption and decryption of data. The two keys are the Public key which it can be shared with
anyone and the other one is a Private key or secret key which should be kept secretly. Each user
will have its own public key and private key. Let s assume Alice and Bob are the sender and
receiver. Alice(A) wants to send a message to Bob(B). Alice will first encrypt(E) the plaintext(M)
with Alice s public key and send to bob. Now Bob verifies Alice s message by checking whether it
is Alice s digital signature and then bob decrypts(D) the key using the bob private key. This process
will be the same if Bob sends Alice message.

William Lane Craig s Argument For The Existence Of God
Many people wonder about the existence of God and if he truly exists. We have to realize that it
is obvious that he exists because of his many creations. Sometimes we think that the world has so
much evil so how is God here. Multiple philosophers have made proofs and arguments abut how
God really does exist. Philosophers have made arguments that he exists for example Shaun Doyle
says that Godreveals himself to people in many ways such as that the spirit himself testifies to

The first way he makes a difference is if God doesn t exist then life is ultimately meaningless. If
he doesn t exist then it makes no difference of who we are or what we do. The second way he
makes a difference is if God does not exist, then we must ultimately live without hope. If there is
no God, there is no hope of saving from evil. If he doesn t exist there is no afterlife. The last way
he makes a difference is if God does exist, then not only is there meaning and hope, but there is
also the possibility of coming to know God and his love personally. If he does exist then it can a

Net Neutrality And The Freedom Of The Internet
In order to understand what the issues the governments face it s important that people
understand what the internet access is and how Net Neutrality plays an immense role in
freedom of the internet. In FreePress (2017) define Net Neutrality to be the basic principle that
internet service providers of ISP s will not be able allowed to speed up, slow down, or block any
website that you wish to access. The basic principle implies that people will have control over what
websites they choose without having the media companies infringe on their privacy or access by
slowing it down or shutting it down. As the internetfacilitates freedom of speech it s important the
people have a platform that will allow people to partake in a sacred democratic value. In providing
access for people to communicate online, the internet service providers should provide open
networks and should not be able to block or discriminate against any application or the content that
is displayed on the network. In the United States, freedom of speech is an inherent privilege
afforded to us as one of our constitutional rights. These rights, specifically the 1st amendment, allow
us to voice our thoughts whether these thoughts are expressed through writing or speaking. Having
the internet, is one of the many platforms that allows us use of our constitutional right, and to
restrict our access is censorship. A censorship of our ideologies and in turn a violation of our
constitutional rights. This ideology

Joe Linta Reputation
On a crisp October evening in Hamden, Connecticut, two high school football teams face off.
The crowd roars as the Hamden Hall football team takes the field with the head coach, Joe Linta,
slowly jogging behind. Tonight it is all about coaching his team to an undefeated season and
getting to the conference championship game. The next day, Linta is in the office talking to
NFL executives, negotiating a contract extension for Joe Flacco, and watching film on dozens of
Division III football players. Joe Linta is more than a high school football coach and more than a
sports agent; he is one a kind. Joe Linta is a sports agent, but more importantly, a talent evaluator
and an advocate for players who are overlooked or come from smaller schools.... Show more

Linta sees big things from Schreck with his size, quickness, and hands. He believes he is the
type of player that will be in the league for ten years. In an ultra high competitive market of
sports agents, Linta is in a class of his own. Instead of competing for the high profile college
athletes, he has figured out how to focus on the guys that not many people are talking about and
finding the best of them to sign. Joe Linta gives opportunities to the players that deserve it but
never thought they had a chance. Usually it is a success for the sports agent when they sign a
new player, but for Joe Linta, the player is lucky to have the opportunity to sign with him. It is
no guarantee that you will sign with a team, but every team will take a look at you because they
know you check the boxes for character and potential. No other agent that Linta knows about is
thoroughly evaluating every player or has the level of year after year success. When the 2017
NFL Draft comes around, do not be surprised if you hear Herdman s or Schreck s names called.
They might be players who no one has heard of, but Linta s success shows that they are worth
taking a chance

Racism In Schools
Racism is a controversy in today s world and many people are suffering from this. Gifford, author
of the book Racism says Racism has been to human relationship what cancers been to human
existence. It is a disease that eats away humanity itself. (Gifford, p, 6). However there seems to be
racism toward specific races example. Black peoplehave faced a lot of racism in the past, but it is
improving day by day, such as you will notice lots of black leader like Barack Obama (currently
US President). On the other side Asians are still left behind. Talking about Asians many people tend
to its only Chinese or Japanese; I mean all the ethnicity in Asia. I am mainly focusing on South
Asians but I am going to touch upon most Asia. Through our history... Show more content on

Blacks once got treated crucial but they gained their respect in the western world. Recently we
are going through carding and polices are targeting dark skinned people, but it got banned and
so it is fair. Also black history month just past and most people celebrated but does most people
care about Asian history, I do not think so otherwise we would have an Asian s history month.
Kyle Murao expresses her opinion in an article named Why Does Racism Against Asians Go
Ignored and Unpunished in the United States? , he said Everyone talks about the enslavement of
blacks. It is pounded into every student every day from the 1st grade until the end of any
historical studies at any American university. Nobody talks about the enslavement of the
Japanese (Murao). In my judgement I absolutely agree with this point. People thinks it s a joke
and Asians do not have any feelings. Example during the recent Oscar Cris Rock the comedian
made a joke about Asians, which was published in an article Chris Rock Missed the Mark with
Oscars Joke About Asians, Pricewaterhouse Cooper accountants calling them most dedicated,
accurate, and hard working. They turned out to be cute little Asian kids in suits. He introduced
them as Ming Zhu, Bao Ling, and David Moskowitz. (Paradkaar). Cris Rock is a black person,
and that explains that not only Asians are opposed by white also

In his article Making Trains Run on Time (Time Magazine, 10 April, 2017, pp. 32 34), Josh
Sanburn tells us about the problem of congested train traffic in Chicago. Sanburn says that costly
delays have been seen elsewhere because of the problems in Chicago, as any trains travelling from
coast to coast have to go through the city. Six of the seven biggest railroad companies use these
railroads, with one thousand and three hundred trains traveling through the city a day. Sanburn
points out that the regions commuter rail systems compete for limited track space with the nation s
largest lines. At morning and evening rush hours the commuter trains have the right of way, thanks
to a deal between the city and the railroads, while freight trains

Dr. Kirkland s Class Letter Essay
Hello future 209ers!
This is a letter addressing how I was able to succeed in Dr. Kirkland s class. This is the first class
I have taken that I will be completing with a 3.9 4.0, and this is completely do able for anyone to
achieve (without sucking up all your time, energy, and motivation)! To begin, there are 450 points
available in this class. In other words, you can miss 27 points throughout the quarter and still get a
4.0. That means that it is imperative to do well when it comes to the easy points that is the lecture
participation, section participation, and chapter quizzes. These are some of the things that worked
best for me in ensuring a high grade:
Attending every quiz section and lecture section is important, since ... Show more content on

If you don t get 10/10, then 1) take a picture of all the questions with the answers incase there are
any repeats on the second test (there are hardly ever any repeats but it s better to be over prepared
than underprepared), and 2) use the coming week s lectures to learn from your mistakes, ask
questions about the material, and figure out why you re wrong. The questions on the quizzes will
help you prepare for the midterm and final.
For the research paper, make sure to pick a topic you will enjoy researching and learning about,
as this will make it so much easier and you will be more motivated to write your paper. You will
most likely miss 1 or 2 points each assignment because we re all still learning and your first draft
will evidently not be perfect. I suggest as soon as you get the assignment graded, to take a look
at the TA s notes and fix said mistakes right away. This will save you a lot of time in the end
when you have to put all the parts together for your full rough draft and full final draft. The
research proposal may seem daunting, but it s broken down into very manageable parts that only
take a few hours to complete. Make sure to use your book to check if you re doing things right!
Pages 507 to 520 are useful when constructing your paper.
There are a ton of resources to use for the exams so take advantage of these while studying! I found
that the most effective method to study were re reading/take notes on the book to

My Struggles with English Composition Essay
My Struggles with English Composition
...As for all the seniors, I want you to challenge yourselves this year and don t think you re going
to cruise through to graduation. Mrs. Smith, County High School. Although some seniors in high
school refuse to take a hard schedule, I decided to take a challenging composition course my last
year of high school and learned more than ever before from it. My teacher, Mr. Bacz, focused
mostly on vocabulary, grammar, and how to right an essay. Each one of these subjects combined
to give me a year of hard work, which eventually paid off.
Since, I have always struggled in English, I thought this class was just going to be another hardship.

Along with vocabulary, grammar is another area in which I had problems. For instance, I was
still getting confused about proper sentence structure. I worked on this by completing a 30 page
workbook full of different sentences to assist me. From learning verbs to compound complex
sentences the worksheets covered it all. I was starting to realize this class and Mr. Horbacz
were all about fine tuning me for my big transition into college. The next thing I did was learn
how to organize my thoughts onto paper and write an essay. I knew how to write a basic five
paragraph essay, but my skills were limited. These are all things I struggled with at the beginning
of the year, but soon I started to grow in each area.
After the first couple of months, improvements in my school work were beginning to show, and
I liked it. My vocabulary abilities were revealing themselves as well. For example, when I would
read homework in other classes the words that would sometimes confuse me began to make sense.
I would also listen to other people s conversations on the street and it seemed as if the vocabulary
words that I had just studied the week before, could be heard. It was the weirdest thing. Likewise,
my grammar was developing nicely. For instance, when I would read books I could see the
different ways sentences were portrayed. Things that I never picked up before were coming to me
so much easier. This class that

assets to the neighborhood would be the private schools, colleges, banks and various religious
centers. As for liabilities, none was present on our tour of the neighborhood. There aren t much
large chain stores like K Mart or Old Navy in Riverdale and the only ones we saw were CVS and
Eckerd. There aren t any fast food chain restaurants like McDonalds, Burger King, White Castle,
etc. The shopping area is composed of ice cream parlors, art galleries, wine stores, pet shops,
flower shops, Korean stores for your Caribbean products, jewelry stores, pizza shops,
pharmacies, gift shops, etc. We saw just 2 laundromats in the area. It can be assumed that
residents here do their own laundry at their homes. We also saw a few dry cleaners on the main
road. For recreation, Riverdale residents don t have much of a variety of activities. Nearby
Riverdale is Van Courtlandt Park. Located here is a Riverdale Equestrian Centre where people
can go horseback riding. There are parks in the area such as Spuyten Duyvil Playground and
Riverdale Playground but in general, there are no recreational centers. Similar to recreational
centers, there wasn t a large number of clubs or associations. The only thing that would count as a

Analysis Of The Rose In The Sick Rose
The Rose A rose generally symbolizes love and purity. Roses are used in weddings, for
anniversaries, or given just to say I love you. When roses are seen in our daily lives we don t find
ourselves thinking bad thoughts but after reading several poems that involve this beautiful flower it
opens up new meanings. The poem I am like a roseby D.H. Lawrence shows how the writer
compares himself to a rose. One Perfect Rose by Dorothy Parker symbolizes the rose as a
traditional flower given as a gift and The Sick Rose by William Blake brings an idea of the
darkness of a rose. These three poems show similarities and vast differences of a rose as they are
expressed throughout the stories they tell. D.H. Lawrence seems to compare humans to a
flower throughout the poem I am like a Rose . As the writer starts he initially says I am myself at
last (Lawrence line 1). The writer seems to have struggled possibly in to the past trying to figure
out who he is or what his purpose might be. This line suggests that he has finally found who he
truly is and the freedom that he feels knowing this. He also shows that he knows his differences
now from other humans or individuals around him just as a rose is different from other roses
when he writes And single me, perfected from my fellow (Lawrence line 4). He is not
suggesting that neither he nor a rose is perfect but that both are perfectly different from others.
While humans are much alike, there are still many things that make each one unique just as
each flower is made individually. The roses can look the same but if we look closely we can
always find little things that set them apart from any other rose or flower. Perfectly set apart
from one another. Itself more sheer and naked out of the green, in stark clear roses, than I to
myself am brought. (Lawrence lines 7 8) shows that a rose stands out from all the things that
surrounds it and he like the flower as he stands out from other people around him. He is not timid
about setting himself apart but acts excited that he knows who he is and is proud to be that
person. Lawrence seems relieved that he knows himself now and the roots he is from. He shows
no embarrassment or shame. One Perfect Rose by

Hr Planning Factors Affecting Managment And Talent Policy I)HR planning factors affecting resourcing and talent policy Three organisational benefits of a diverse workforce Increased productivity: Diversity increases employee morale, and causes employees, who feel valued and fairly treated, to work more efficiently. Besides, a mix of experiences, skills, backgrounds bring fresh ideas and encourage employees to learn from each other, which lead to a greater productivity. Broader customer base and market competitiveness: A diverse workforce is well placed to understand the needs of a wide range of customers and interact with a broad client base. Staffing efficiency: as LPQ deals with a high turnover and solutions must be identified. Factors that affect an organisation s talent planning, recruitment and selection policy Internal factors include Business objectives: these may involve expansion, modernisation and bring a change in demand for the number of staff it employs. Culture: for instance gamekeeper organisations make efforts to hold onto and grow the talent they have while poacher organisations recruit readymade replacements. Or organisation committed to CSR will take into account the needs of the local community in their recruitment. Then values (e.g. teamwork, CSR) can draw new talents in and retain staff. Finally recruitment methods are chosen to project the right image. External factors include: Economy: for instance recession requires organisations to cut cost and often lead them to develop more talent in house and retain rather than recruit talent, and an increase for temporary and contract workers. Supply and demand: if there is a limited supply, the organisations may depend upon internal sources by providing training and development programs, or may have to pay more to attract recruits or may plan to recruit less skilled employees and train them. It s why I sat in the back. I can be fully secluded and do what I want, even though it s a large open library. Jam out, watch some videos, whatever. I won t do well on this paper or in this class, but forget it. School just doesn t seem important compared to anything else in my life. In every class I just sit and think of all the better things I could be doing. Why do I have to be stuck here? I should just walk out. My life has just been going downhill for the past few years. I ve probable written more stories about it than music. I don t have an end goal in it, I just love it. It s fun weather I m progressing or not ; chilling or trying some banger. But just as music goes, it takes up so much time. It s always one of the two. Thinking of guitar riffs in math, thinking of some handrail to grind in Physics. The skatepark is right near the school too. Every period I walk past a door and consider going for it. I m actually getting kind of good too. It s torture, I just picture the progression I could be making. Landing new tricks, stacking some decent clips, it s awesome. Not to mention all the hemies. They hype it up and then everything just turns into a party. I ve always wanted to go on a music/skate tour. One of my bands would hop in a van and go touring playing shows. Along the way we d skate, hit spots and try and make a short video edit. That would be the dream life... Sadly I m stuck in school. Not to mention all the other things eating up my time. Although there s things I enjoy, there s things I m not fond of like work. My job isn t the worst. The pay is fair, the people are kind. Although if I didn t needmoney in life I wouldn t be wasting my time. Who would? Then there s any work my family gives me. They don t usually give me work, but that s why I do it. • 9. The World War I Led From The Imperialist Age Of The 19th... World War I led to the deaths of over 70 million people in Europe, and destroyed the already weak infrastructure left from the imperialist age of the 19th century. During this time of rebuilding, Germany turned to people they believed would help them rebuild. The people who would rebuild would also destroy the freedoms of the German people through their aggressive takeover. This takeover by the German National Socialist Party, dubbed the Nazi Partyby Bavarians, was defined for the brutality and the totalitarian government by which it ruled. So the question is, how did they take over? How did a party made from the hands of but 5 people manage to conquer all of Germany during the 1930s? This is due to the harsh stipulations enforced by the post war efforts of the allied powers and the following collapse of many European countries. Lack of International Cooperation led to the blaming of the Central Powers of Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, and the Ottoman Empire after the first World War. The only problem with this was that Germany was the only nation intact after the Armistice Day in 1918. Germany s Imperial government had been overthrown in the German November Revolution of 1918 and had been set up as the new Weimar Republic. This meant that, reluctantly, the German Reichstag had to accept blame for all damages created by the war and the Central Powers. In 1919, after the conclusion of World War I, a formal treaty was signed. This treaty, known as the Treaty of Versaille, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Hip Hop Music Mirrors All Urban Society Hip Hop Music Mirrors All Urban Society From 1950 to the late 1980 s, social conflicts all over the world encouraged the success of Hip Hop due its ability to mirror the negative and positive aspects of society, and in doing this, the concept of Hip Hop s real lyrics were very easily translated and adopted overseas. To understand Hip Hop s ability to migrate around the world, it must be understood what Hip Hop was created out of. First, American Urban society, from the Civil Rights Era until now has matured, creating Hip Hop s lyrics in both its negative recap of the destruction of South Bronx and the new AIDS epidemic and positive reenactment of the solution brought by the Civil Rights Era and the urban society s ability to attain ... Realism and naturalism have similarities and they have their differences. Both have very basic views on humanity and religion is absent from both movements. They focused on the real world instead. Realism, though, let writers voice their opinions, concerns, struggles and focused on literary technique. It had a faithful representation on life. Naturalism, on the other hand, was the other literary movement happening in this time period. Naturalism started a few years later around 1880 and lasted around 1915 like realism. Her problem is that she over thinks it all and everything starts to look bad. The more she falls in love with Pete, the worse her apartment looks to her throwing her deeper into despair. Being in a lower class more often than not, comes with poverty. With the idea of what class, you are born into shapes what class you will continue to live in and how you will live, Maggie and her family learned a method of scraping by. It seems to be effective enough because they do eat, just not in the French style that included nine separate courses. When a lower class family, like Maggie s, hosts a dinner party the guests eat a four course meal: soup fish, meat, and dessert. Crane explains how Maggie went to a different neighborhood to beg for change in the third chapter of his story, She received daily a small sum in pennies. The influence of Western scholars as well as Sikhism views on women has brought change to the overall status and role of women in Hinduism so that Hindu women can be recognized in the same way that Sikhism women are. Western scholars who have studied Hinduism have written many books and articles on the sacred scriptures including reviews on the Vedas (hymns and ritual texts) and other religious scriptures that at one point were restricted from Hindu women. As a result of these reviews, the ongoing reconstruction of the social status and roles of Hindu women has brought about many new changes in Hinduism. Some of these changes include changes in education, health measures, problems of early marriages, the positions of widows, and the representation of women in governing bodies (Desai, et al., 1995). • 16. Involvement of Parents in Their Child s Development Project Part 3 For a working woman, maternity leave is a standard part of giving birth. Physically, the new mother needs that time to recover from the birthing process, but there is an emotional reason, too. Experts preach over and over that for those first few weeks of a baby s life, it needs the interaction and touch of its mother to help with bonding to start their development on the right track. Shouldn t the father be part of that process as well? Shouldn t the father of the new child be able to take paternity leave from work? I believe they should, not only to bond with the child, but to help the mother with her recovery and to coordinate visitors, appointments and any errands that may be needed. Some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Friends, relatives, and neighbors alike all want to see the new bundle of joy. Some may want to cook dinner for the new family and having the father home on paternity leave would help take this stress off the new mother. When the mother is sleeping or caring for the child, the father could coordinate with everyone wanting to visit so that the new family is not bombarded with everyone at once. A mother having to deal with her own recovery as well as caring for the child could easily get overwhelmed dealing with all the requests. On top of coordinating visitors, the father could manage the doctor s appointments or errands to get supplies. Some mothers are on medication after birth and shouldn t drive, not to mention that most new mothers don t want to take their newborn to a grocery store in those first few weeks. Besides the obvious benefit to a child s development, paternity leave is beneficial to the family as well. Research has shown that in families that the father takes paternity leave, fewer divorces occur. This helps the family by strengthening it and not having the father only play the role of being the primary bread winner. This creates a happy family, which extends to the workplace as well. Mothers with psychosis may hear voices, have hallucinations or delusions. The Journal of Behavioral Health Services Research have determined that Postpartum women with obsessional thoughts have been noted to have aggressive obsessions to harm their infants (Coates, 2004). Analysis Of O Brother Where Art Thou Two Journeys One Tale The Odyssey is an eight century epic by Homer which depicts the journey of Odysseus as he attempts to return to his home at Ithaka after the fall of Troy. During his travels, Odysseus faced many obstacles whom he had to overcome. In order to do so, Odysseus had to prove his intellectual capacity, strength and determination. O Brother Where Art Thou is a 2000 adventure film which follows the journey of a man named Ulysses Everett McGill as he attempts to make his way back home with two fellow convicts after escaping prison. Although it lacks the structure and does not follow sequence of events of the odyssey, the film portrays many of the fundamental concepts and ideas explored in The Odyssey. In this paper, I will explore the themes of the power of cunning over strength, temptation and vengeance in the Odyssey, in order to depict how they are portrayed in the film O Brother Where Art Thou and demonstrate the similarities in both tales. First, one of the recurring themes in the Odyssey is that of cunningness over strength. Although Odysseus was known to be a strong and powerful of individual, his cunning was his strongest asset when it came to overcoming the obstacles in his travels. Instead of relying solely on his strength, he relies on his minds ability to deceive and manipulate individuals to do as he pleases. An example of this is seen when Odysseus with the help of Athena disguises himself as an old beggar. Instead of simply going to his home ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There are some illegitimate and ungrateful citizens who insist on filing suits when doctors are not at fault. When a family member dies, the loss may cause anger and looking for a doctor to sue seems like the right thing to do. It is human nature to always look for a party at fault in any tragedy. Li fi is a subset of OWC Optical wireless communication and it can be used as a complement to RF communication (Wi Fi or cellular network). As Lamps are the common source of room lighting, they are providing a new pathway for linking mobiles to the Internet, with the potential for wider bandwidth and it has a quicker response time than Wi fi. As there are differnet sources, the speed of the transmission also varies. Ordinary lamps can transmit the signal with the speed of 10kbit/s whereas LEDs are used to get transmission speeds upto 500Mbit/s and with the help of powerful LEDs we can achieve the speed of 10 Gbit/s. Krepton 81 ages (Sturchio et al., 2004) show also a progressive increase with distance to the east and north from the Dakhla Oasis, their spatial distribution indicates relatively high flow velocities (~1 m/yr 3.17Г—10 8 m/s) from Dakhla (210 kyr) toward Farafra (330 kyr) along the groundwater flow, and low velocities (~0.2 m/yr 6.34Г— 10 9 m/s) from Dakhla toward Kharga and Baris (490 680 kyr), and from Farafra (330 kyr) toward Bahariya, Bauti 1 (~1000 kyr; Fig. 5). These ages were interpreted as a local recharge through regional precipitation in the Uweinat area near the Egyptian/Sudanese border (Sturchio et al., 2004; Paterson et al., 2005). Chlorine 36 groundwater ages increase progressively eastwards from Siwa to Qattara (Gara) ~ 114 kyr; and northeastwards form west Farafra to north Bahariya by ~ 640 715 kyr (Fig. 5). Their spatial distribution indicates relatively high flow velocities (~0.66 m/yr 2.09Г—10 8 m/s) from Siwa to Qattara (Gara), and from northwest Farafra to north Bahariya (~0.4 m/yr 1.27Г—10 8 m/s) ... • 38. Reflection Paper On Domestic Violence Legal Clinic I am an intern at the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic, located on the first floor of the Domestic Violence Courthouse of Chicago at 555 W Harrison St. The clinic offers free civil legal assistance to low income victims of domestic violence. I have been interning at the clinic since August 28, 2017 for 15 20 hours a week. I originally intended to intern on Mondays and Fridays from 8:30AM 4:30 PM, but due to holidays and instances in which the clinic was closed on Fridays, I now also intern on Wednesdays from 8:30 AM 12:30 PM. A typical day for me at the clinic begins at 8:30 AM, when the buildings opens. The actual court opens for first returns of service 9:00 AM. I usually wait around 30 45 minutes until the clients fill out their intakes before we proceed with the paperwork they need to file an order of protection. If there are no clients by 9:30 AM, I usually go to the second floor to observe in court. Most of the time this consists of cross examinations, which I don t observe often when I work with Pro Se litigants in the afternoon. In other instances, when clients are not able to stay for the whole process of filing an order of protection on Fridays, they come back on Mondays and I help them as soon as I get to the clinic. This has happened in the past with Spanish speaking clients who need me to translate the process for them. In a typical week, I help from three to five clients with their orders of protection, guiding them through the whole process. Once the clinic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 40. William Lane Craig s Argument For The Existence Of God Many people wonder about the existence of God and if he truly exists. We have to realize that it is obvious that he exists because of his many creations. Sometimes we think that the world has so much evil so how is God here. Multiple philosophers have made proofs and arguments abut how God really does exist. Philosophers have made arguments that he exists for example Shaun Doyle says that Godreveals himself to people in many ways such as that the spirit himself testifies to Christians spirits that we are God s children, William Lane Craig has found the differences his existence has made, and Pascal Wager s is an argument that says that believing in God is not on an appeal that he exists, but based on an appeal to self interest. If there is no God, there is no hope of saving from evil. If he doesn t exist there is no afterlife. The last way he makes a difference is if God does exist, then not only is there meaning and hope, but there is also the possibility of coming to know God and his love personally. Net Neutrality And The Freedom Of The Internet In order to understand what the issues the governments face it s important that people understand what the internet access is and how Net Neutrality plays an immense role in freedom of the internet. In FreePress (2017) define Net Neutrality to be the basic principle that internet service providers of ISP s will not be able allowed to speed up, slow down, or block any website that you wish to access. The basic principle implies that people will have control over what websites they choose without having the media companies infringe on their privacy or access by slowing it down or shutting it down. As the internetfacilitates freedom of speech it s important the people have a platform that will allow people to partake in a sacred democratic value. In providing access for people to communicate online, the internet service providers should provide open networks and should not be able to block or discriminate against any application or the content that is displayed on the network. In the United States, freedom of speech is an inherent privilege afforded to us as one of our constitutional rights. These rights, specifically the 1st amendment, allow us to voice our thoughts whether these thoughts are expressed through writing or speaking. • 54. Analysis Of The Rose In The Sick Rose The Rose A rose generally symbolizes love and purity. Roses are used in weddings, for anniversaries, or given just to say I love you. When roses are seen in our daily lives we don t find ourselves thinking bad thoughts but after reading several poems that involve this beautiful flower it opens up new meanings. The poem I am like a roseby D.H. Lawrence shows how the writer compares himself to a rose. One Perfect Rose by Dorothy Parker symbolizes the rose as a traditional flower given as a gift and The Sick Rose by William Blake brings an idea of the darkness of a rose. These three poems show similarities and vast differences of a rose as they are expressed throughout the stories they tell. D.H. Lawrence seems to compare humans to a flower throughout the poem I am like a Rose . As the writer starts he initially says I am myself at last (Lawrence line 1).
