Essay On Butterfly
Crafting an essay on the subject of butterflies may seem deceptively simple at first glance, given
the whimsical and delicate nature of these creatures. However, as one delves into the task, the
intricate world of butterflies unfolds, presenting a myriad of challenges. The difficulty lies not in
the scarcity of information, but rather in the abundance of it. The vast spectrum of butterfly
species, their lifecycles, behaviors, and ecological significance demands careful selection and
organization of details.
Researching this seemingly ethereal topic can quickly transform into a complex endeavor. One
must navigate through the realms of entomology, ecology, and even mythology to capture the
essence of butterflies comprehensively. Describing the intricate patterns and vibrant colors
requires a delicate balance between scientific precision and poetic expression. Striking this
balance can prove to be a tightrope walk, where too much science risks losing the reader's
interest, while excessive artistic flair might compromise the essay's credibility.
Furthermore, addressing the broader context of butterflies in ecosystems and their role in
pollination and biodiversity adds another layer of intricacy. Ensuring a coherent narrative that
seamlessly weaves scientific facts with broader environmental implications is a challenge that
requires finesse and a deep understanding of the subject.
Additionally, choosing a unique perspective or angle to approach the essay can be demanding.
It's not merely about presenting facts; rather, it involves engaging the reader with a fresh
viewpoint, whether it be historical, cultural, or symbolic.
In conclusion, while the topic of butterflies may seem light and airy, writing a comprehensive
and compelling essay on the subject involves navigating through a labyrinth of information,
balancing scientific accuracy with literary finesse, and presenting a unique perspective to
captivate the audience. It is an intricate task that demands both dedication and skill to do justice
to the intricate beauty of these delicate creatures.

How Does Shakespeare Present Love
How does Shakespeare present aspects of love in this passage? Examine the view
that, in this passage and elsewhere in the play, Desdemona is presented as a typically
naive young woman whose love is little more than hero worship.
In this extract, Shakespeare presents love in contrasting and comparative ways. One
prominent portrayal of love is the love demonstrated by Desdemona over her
fawning of Othello and her father. This essay will explore how Shakespeare manages
to achieve both of these points in the extract and from other points in the play.
The first way Shakespeare presents aspects of love is Othello stating he crave fit
disposition for my wife. The verb crave suggests that he is so dependent on
Desdemona, he ceases to exist without her. The love here Shakespeare has presented
reveals the extent of how deep Othello s lust for Desdemona runs through his veins,
for he would not survive without her. Shakespeare may have written this to highlight
the severe repercussions of interracial relationships, much like a cautionary tale ...

She is visibly distraught at the mere prospect of accidentally disrespecting her
father, indicative when she states, I would not there reside to put my father in
impatient thoughts. This suggests Desdemona is so captivated by obeying her
father s worries, she is frightened of simply giving him impatient thoughts .
Desdemona s utter allegiance for her father for intangible objects like mere
thoughts represents her need to satisfy others, perhaps in order to satisfy herself.
Shakespeare may have done this to reflect Desdemona s lack of self esteem,
whereby she must please others to please herself. This would have pleased the
Jacobean audience as many would have viewed women as inferior to men, and
believed a woman s existence was to simply pleasure a man. This would also explain
Desdemona s reluctance to defy her first hero her
The Golden Girl Analysis
One of the very most uplifting stories of the time, the story that was, still is and
will continue to be the utmost heartening and inspiring, the story of the TRUE
GOLDEN GIRL , the story of BETTY CUTHBERT , a victim of multiple sclerosis
in 1969. From an ordinary worker in her father s plant nursery to someone who set
nine world records, starting from an early age of 15 years, this is the life sketch of
the renowned athlete Betty Cuthbert . The Golden Girl along with twin sister, Marion
Cuthbert, was born to Ernest Cuthbert and Annie Tindall, on the 20th of April, 1938.
For earning their livelihood, Cuthbert s father , At the age of eight, while in
Ermington Public school, Cuthbert was persuaded by her coach June Ferguson, who

As a result, in a race on the 16th of September 1956, she stunned her coach and set
a world record of running 200m in 23.2 seconds. The following month, in the
Olympic trials Cuthbert won the 100m and the 200m race which led to her getting
selected for the Olympics. The actual games, was where Cuthbert had set her
second world record by running 100m in 11.4 seconds. However, she was beaten
by the German Athlete Christina Stubnick into the second position in the semi
final. Yet, in the final, with her very own unique style, mouth agape, she ran down
the track in 11.5 seconds winning Australia s first gold medal of that Olympics. It
was in the same week, that she won the second gold medal by winning for an equal
record of 23.4 seconds set earlier by Marjorie Jackson. Her third gold medal, was
attained on the very same day, after winning the 4x100m relay race, where her
team again set the record of 44.9 seconds. But, this record did not last long, as they
themselves broke the record in the finals from the Great Britain of 44.5 seconds.
This had already given Cuthbert 4 of her nine world World Records. It was after this
set of triumphs and her efforts, that she received immense love and support from
Australia and was nicknamed The Golden Girl . So, unconfident with herself,
Cuthbert even bought tickets to attend the 1956 Olympics as a bystander. But even
before all this, Cuthbert had already earned a
Bryson First Person
In the story A Walk in the Woods Bryson writes in two out of three of the different
kinds of forms; First and Second. First person is when the author writes using
words like you . Second person is when the author writes using words like I. Bryson
also uses humor throughout the story to make hiking during a story more interesting
and exciting for the readers. While he does this it makes you wonder what is actually
real or if it is just his imagination.
In the beginning Bryson writes in second person. After I read the short story I found
out that second person is not as interesting as first or third person because they make
you believe that they are talking to you when they are not. Second person is where
you write from inside the story but ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This makes the story way more interesting and easier to understand. First person
makes it more interesting person because it gives us a way into Bryson s head and
feelings. First person is easier to understand because it does not say you which makes
you think that the narrator is talking to you when they are not. First person is the
type of writing a lot of authors use to connect with main character with the readers.
When Bryson switched over to first person we learned more about what he thought
about hiking, Katz, the maps, and how the weather was affecting his hiking trip.
Bryson thought that it was going to be a nice weekend until he went up the
mountains to find out that it was not going to be as nice as he thought. Bryson also
thought that the weather would also make the hiking trip more interesting for Katz.
Throughout the whole short story Bryson uses humor to make the story more
interesting for his readers. At the beginning Bryson says that they walked hour
upon hour, over rollercoaster hills, along knife edge ridges and grassy balds,
through depthless ranks of oak ash, chinkapin, and pine. Humor is used right here
because he over exaggerates about the ridges being like knife edges and depthless
ranks of trees that they walked through. Nevertheless we can tell that Bryson has a
sense of humor and likes to use it to make his stories more

Islam and its Significant Impact on World History Muhammad Ibn Abdullah was
born in 570 CE in the Arab trading city of Mecca. During this time, the people of the
Arab world had just begun to explore the monotheistic ideas of Judaism and
Christianity. 610 BCE is when Muhammad is said to have been contacted by Allah
and commissioned to bring the Arab people a scripture in their own language. This
scripture came to be known as the Quran, the holy book for Islam. Today, Islam is
one of the most widely practiced religions on earth, with about a billion followers
worldwide. Throughout its history, Islam has had countless impacts on the ancient
world and into modernity. Islamic physicians, scientists and mathematicians all
made incredible leaps in the areas of geometry, trigonometry, surgery, dentistry,
optics and astronomy. As a culture, Islam connected vast areas of Eurasia and
Africa and gave rise to trade and cultural diffusion. Islam also changed the
prevailing social structures of pre Islamic Eurasia and the culture of that area of the
world. These factors and more serve to prove that Islam is the most impactful belief
system from the period of 600 BCE 1450 CE into modern day. The intellectual
achievements and discoveries that Muslim scientists, physicians and mathematicians
made were revolutionary. Their discoveries were a result of their religion and the
Islamic Empire they lived in, and prove that Islam is the most

themselves going through a similar yet different problem. The second sister
becomes part of a community that soon realizes she is not who she said she was.
She finds good friends and becomes comfortable where she is. After learning all the
ways of the dead, she soon teaches her new friend the same too. Trusting a complete
stranger was her first mistake, but this stranger took the secrets and used them

and trying to adjust it can lead to negative consequences.
The third sister fit in somewhere until she was recognized as not living. As she
falls in love with someone alive, their mother soon sees death through her and goes

Both sisters learn here the penalties between living and dead and messing with

Geostatistical Interpolation For Spatial Data
Geostatistical Interpolation for Spatial Data
Abstract: Continuous surfaces of rainfall climate variable are becoming increasingly
used as input to spatially explicit atmospheric ,hydrologic ,ecologic and
environmental models. Several methodologies exist for spatial interpolation of
climate and weather parameters, among them is the ordinary kriging method .A large
sampling effort is required to produce an accurate geostatistical map, and the
extraction and analysis of each sample is often expensive, The effectiveness of a
particular sampling scheme is dependent upon the spatial variability of the quantity
being measured .In this paper ,we used the ordinary kriging method to estimate the
rainfall distribution in Iraq. A total of 24 real points are used for evaluation. The
results presents samples of maps for months January, October, March for years 2004,
2013 within the period of data.

Introduction: Rainfall is an important climatological parameter, and knowledge of its
temporal and spatial patterns is useful for researchers working in many disciplines, In
this study , spatial interpolation techniques were implemented in a Geographic
Information System (GIS) to study the spatial variability of monthly rainfall in Iraq.
Ten years (2003 2013) of climate data ( average monthly rainfall )from 24 weather
stations distributed throughout Iraq were used in the analyses. Literature suggests
that there is no single preferred method of
How to Choose an NRA Basic Pistol Course
How to Choose the Right NRA Basic Pistol Course /h1
One of the most important parts of owning any firearm is learning how to operate
it safely and effectively. The NRA hosts many safety and operating courses for
various firearms, and the NRA basic pistol course is one of their most popular
options. One of the reasons for this is because many people want to buy firearms
for personal protection, and pistols are very popular option for self defense due to
their small size and ease of use. Pistols are also a popular option for teaching
teenagers and children about the proper ways to handle firearms since they re
smaller and easier to control and carry around than rifles or shotguns. If you re
interested in taking an NRA basic pistol course, follow this guide to find the right
course for you in your area.

The Beliefs Of Colossions And The Nicene Creed
According the dictionary.com the word creed oringinates from the old English
word credo meaning, an article or statement of Christian beliefs which eventually
broadens to any statement in which I believe . This creed is not the basis of
teaching, rather it supports the sound doctrine of the Bible, where we will
specifically be focusing on Colossians 1:15 20. The Nicene Creeddefends TRUE
Christian faith by fully clarifying the deity of Christ, thus safeguarding the apostles
teachings. We will be exploring how Colossions and the Nicene creed work together
and their differences.
The Nicene Creed says that through Christ all things were made, including heaven
and earth and all that is, seen and unseen comparing to Colossians 1:16: In him all
things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible . The
comparison is EXACT however I feel like we can elaborate more on scripture since it
s probably the basis for the creed. In verse 16 JESUS Christ is supreme over all of
creation because He is the creator of it all! Paul leaves nothing out as to not be
mistaken. GOD created ALL THINGS in HEAVEN and EARTH. All three
Heavens, distant worlds, people, animals, places, things. Every last detail was
created by GOD and the creed agrees fully with this fact. Pauls s mention of
thrones, dominions, principalities or powers may refer to four classes of angelic
beings. God made them too however this may be more of a corrective against false
teachings promoting the worship of angels. In order to understand this we must
dig deeper to that in which it s referring. This is a direct warning; Colossians 2:18
says, Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and
worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not see, vainly puffed up
by his fleshly mind, Here the word cheat comes from an athletic arena where an
athlete would be disqualified if he was caught cheating thus those who practice
spiritual disciplines brought on by false teachers also face the threat of being thrown
out of the game . False humility, in this case, probably refers to taking delight in the
harsh treatment of the body, self harm and or humiliation. Finally, the worship of
angles refers

Why Amendment 33 is a Great Idea
These are a few reasons why amendment 33 is a great idea for the state of Colorado.
This ballot proposal for 2003 will create 25 million dollars in benfits for tourism (the
promotion of tourism is Colorado). Next, Colorado will get to keep 61% of the
profits made from the video lottery terminals; currently other states casinos give them
a 14 % return (Confused). Third, this amendment will create jobs for our slumping
economy. Last of all, we will be able to offer something else that other states around
us can t offer (Gambling). When Amendment 33 passes in the state of Colorado, it
will boost out slumping economy and help out Colorado.

With amendment 33, jobs will be created. It is hard to find a decent job right now,
and when amendment 33 passes, it will generate money and new jobs. With more
money spend, people buy more from their local Merchants. So the businesses get
more money, they have more to spend so they buy more, everyone wins. The video
lottery program is a great idea to help strengthen the Colorado economy. Tourism is
the backbone for a states economy, last year Colorado had a 160 million dollars in
state and local taxes paid by tourist (Confused). Tourism is one way that states
make lots of money. With the help of Amendment 33, Colorado will have $25
million to promote the state. The goal is to bring out of staters to Colorado and
have they spend their money here. With enough folks visiting, the money that they
spend will add up fast and help the economy. These People will spend money on
food, gas. hotels, this creates jobs because theses places will have to hire local people
to work theses jobs. This amendment will provide 15 years of funding for Colorado
(Colorado State Ballot Issues).
There are a lot of critics that oppose the passing of Amendment 33. One of theses
arguments is the naming of the slot machines; the machines will be called video
lottery terminals. They are calling them this so that they can avoid certain state
The Use Of Brutality And Persuasion
The use of brutality and persuasion in interviews by Police.
In this case analysis it will discuss the purpose of interrogatory deception when
conducting interviews, ways in which it is used, some of the current debates over the
practice, and examples of theories to explain corruption and brutality. The number
one priority that should be thought about prior to any form of interrogation
Interviewing is the suspect s rights and privacy are to be respected.
However in some cases police have failed in investigation and interrogation and in
rare circumstances have diverged off protocol, therefore resulting in not having done
their job professionally (Inbau, 1961). In this short essay I will provide an example
of when this has occurred. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
That practice has been abandoned due to its inhumane and brutal nature and its
infringement of individual rights. Police were forced to seek an alternate means of
obtaining information without validating a person s rights. This is now referred to
as Interrogatory Deception, it is a psychological form of coercion, which can
involve trickery and deceit. It is based on the utilitarian standpoint by police that the
means justifies the outcome . This type of interrogation is performed in a way which
elicits admissions by deceiving suspects who have waived their right to remain silent
(Skolnick Leo, 1992).
There are many theories that can be applied to understanding why police would use a
form of deception. Here are three major criminological theories to explain why some
police use deceitful tactics or inadvertently use them.
The Social Conflict Theory implies that the government agencies function as a tool to
be used in the interest for the dominant class, which is usually interpreted as those
with privilege, good social status and economic resources (Kwon, 2011). Max Weber
also explains further these ideas in his work, coined as Weberian theory . This theory
can be implied here to suggest government institutions which includes police
departments function for the sole purpose to protect the interests of the powerful
within society. (Kwon, 2011).
The Symbolic Interactionist Theory attempts to explain why some officers become
corrupt and some do not. This

The article What should the U.S. do about ISIS? Show Sunnis we care by Charles
Lister is about what Charles Lister thinks the United States should do to combat
ISIS. It has a prescriptive issue and a conclusion. A prescriptive issue is a question
about how the world should be. A conclusion is an answer to the question asked by
the issue that the author wants the reader to accept. Some significant ambiguity is
also present in Lister s article. Significant ambiguity is a word or statement that is
unclear, and the word s meaning affects the reader s ability to accept the conclusion.
I will prove that I have found the correct issue and conclusion and some significant
ambiguity using text from Lister s article. The issue in the article What should the
U.S. do about ISIS? Show Sunnis we care by Charles Lister is How should the
United Statesrespond to ISIS. Proof of this issue can be found in Lister s writing. In
the first paragraph he states that the United States cannot defeat ISIS militarily. The
U.S. must help improve the sociopolitical issues in the Middle East. These two
statements answer the issue I put forth. The second and third paragraphs discuss how
ISIS has not only attracted foreigners to fight in its jihad; it has also befriended the
oppressed Sunni Muslims. The Sunnis, consequently, are allowing ISIS to work
freely in their territory. Paragraph three asks the question are the Sunnis still loyal to
their country, or are they only loyal to their religion

chicken breast (an ideal size for the chicken breast is the size of your hand), soy
sauce, lemon juice, a bell pepper, shredded provolone cheese, salt, Cayenne pepper,
flour, olive oil, one large egg, and one frozen cheese pizza (preferably Di Giorno
rising crust). First you need to prep the chicken breast. If your chicken breast is
frozen, let your chicken breast thaw. To speed up the thawing process, you may
use a microwave. However, set the microwave to defrost mode before thawing
your chicken, which will prevent the chicken from drying out and will keep the
chicken moist. Thaw the chicken, on defrost mode, for approximately five to six
minutes. After thawing the chicken, take a sharp knife and make a horizontal cut
across the middle of the breast. Always act carefully when working knives.
Remember to keep the blade down and always cut away from yourself. Cut the
chicken into long strips with roughly one quarter inch of thickness. Reducing the
thickness of the breast will reduce the amount of time needed to cook the chicken
fully. Now make a vertical cut every half inch to both strips of chicken. The chicken
pieces should resemble the size and shape of your middle and ring fingercombined.
After cutting the chicken, wash hands thoroughly with warm water and soap. Always
wash your hands after touching raw meat to prevent cross commination. Do not touch
any other ingredient before washing your hands.
Next you need to assemble the marinade for the chicken. Start with a deep dish
baking pan and add one and half cups of soy sauce or until the bottom of the pan is

Discrimination of Irish Catholic Immigrants During the 1920 s
During the 1920 s there were many controversial issues. There was a concern about
declining moral and ethical values, which led to restrictions such as prohibition for
example. The concern about these issues seemed most intense when they pertained to
religion. In situations like these it always seems necessary to place the blame
somewhere. One particular group on which this blame was emphasized happened to
be the immigrants. Irish Catholic immigrants were a main focus of discrimination in
many ways.
The fight for immigration restriction was fueled by America s negative view of

The fear that surrounded this time period was a perfect way to spread the
propaganda of the Klan. It was believed that this group of immigrants held their
primary allegiance to a foreign sovereign over loyalty to the United States. This anti
Catholicism was a driving force behind the popularity of the KKK. To show the
mentality of the time, there was no tax on Klan fees because they were considered to
be a benevolent society by the government. The fact that the KKK adamantly
discriminated against the Irish Catholics may seem surprising because the majority of
today s population would assume that the Klan s members encompassed any person
who appeared to be Caucasian.
This group of immigrants was also discriminated in the workplace. Employers made
the wages for this group lower than wages of other employees. The intention for this
ill treatment was that the immigrants would warn their Irish relatives of the bad
conditions here in the U.S. discouraging them from immigrating as well as to
encourage the Irish Catholic immigrant employees who resided in the U.S. to leave.
This direct discrimination against the Irish Catholic immigrants was hypocritical in
the democratic and liberal society of America. It is wrong to allow one group to
infringe upon another one s rights just because of religious

The Effect Of A Media Stimulus On The Perceptions Of...
Introduction Students of the class Introduction to Research Methods conducted two
studies to collect data on the perception of scientists. The purpose of the two studies
conducted was to examine the stereotypes of scientists of undergraduate Speech and
Hearing Science majors, and whether the use of media has an influence on these
stereotypes. Study one was a descriptive study that consisted of administering a Draw
A Scientisttest. This was done in order to understand the perceptions of scientists in a
sample of Speech and Hearing Sciencemajors at a large research university in the
Midwest, and be able to compare the results to other literature. Study 2 was an
experimental study, conducted to analysis the effect of a media stimulus on the
perceptions of scientist. The goal of conducting two studies was to have the ability
to compare the results of the descriptive study with the experimental study in order
to determine the effects of the media and analyze certain stereotypic characteristics
of a scientist. The Draw A Scientist Test was first administered by David W.
Chambers in 1983. He created the DAST in order to analyze the stereotypes
involved in people s perceptions of scientists. Seven specific attributes of a scientist
were included on the coding sheet of the DAST. These attributes included specific
attributes of a scientist: a laboratory coat, eyeglass, facial hair, symbols of research
(scientific instruments and laboratory equipment), symbols of knowledge
Review Of Genesis A Novel Written By Bernard Beckett
Influences mold ideas and ideas craft one s mind. Ideas cannot remain constant in
reason since influences are frequently reproducing and changing them. Ideas are the
building blocks of the mind. They are those good and bad minuscule orientations of
the mind that affects one s actions and behaviors. Influences are those primary signals
that trigger the production of ideas in the mind. Without influences, there would be
no mind. No mind means one cannot make decisions hence any evolvement in
character. Genesis, a novel written by Bernard Beckett follows a young girl,

His shining hands closed around Adam s neck. Adam nodded... Art squeezed the
life from his human companion. Art is going against his set program to pursue
what he feels is right. He learns this from Adam after he explained his reason of
being incarcerated. Adam was captivated because he tried to rescue a foreign girl
instead of killing her like he was supposed to. He did not abide the society s norm
and decided to follow his heart over his mind, even after knowing the consequences.
Art was definitely influenced by Adam since he did the same thing, but in a different
application. Beckett exemplifies how even a machine has a brain of its own. Even
though Art states the Idea resides as independent in one s mind (pages 95 96), he
would have never thought of going against his program without the interference of an
outside influence. He even stated, I m not programming you. Yes, you are. Through
my interactions with others, I learn who I am... (Beckett 74) Art is programmed to
learn from others therefore make decisions of his own. He is not a machine stored
with intelligence. He will constantly pick up ideas and advance his thinking. Art
learned to view a different spectrum of a situation through communicating and
spending time with Adam Forde.
Adam not only impacted Art, but also others such as Anaximander, in short, Anax.
Anax was always enlightened by the history of Adam Forde to the point where she
considers him, her role model. She is
Racism In High School Essay
There is never a dull moment when it comes to school and home. Although there are
not any consistently favorable or atrocious moments, it is these times that make an
acceptable week tolerable. While carrying on the topics of racism, relationships, and
the first AP Language essay of the semester, this certainly has been an engrossing
week. Even though most of the population have some type of freedom there is
always that want to escape. Even if it s just for a moment because being alone and
escaping are two different conditions to be under. Racismis a possession that someone
will constantly have a hold of. But something that is important is that we shouldn t let
the hatefulness of others control us. There is a difference of being upset and repulsed
than just letting something control you to the point where you can t bare it. Racism

Rarely is a relationship in highschool serious. Some understand that some don t, just
like any other thing in life. The easiest thing to have that is close to a relationship in
high school is a crush. You can talk about it with your friends. Your crush can even
know. But the important thing is there is no commitment. And more importantly
than that, no time commitment. That is an argument that is discussed among
friends during the week. But it is questioned, is a relationship all together the most
important thing to have in life? Or is it possible to find happiness without that
special someone? A very mature topic to discuss especially for 15 16 year olds
who know nothing. But in the end, an escape from all of the relationship talk would
not be a horrible possibility. Sometimes it s needed and it can get to people.

Testosterone And Prostate Cancer Essay
The objective of this paper was to find a correlation between elevated levels of
testosterone and prostate cancer. The rationale behind evaluating high levels of
testosterone and prostate cancer is testosterone is necessary for the development of
the prostate. Elevated levels are needed for adolescent males can form their
reproductive system, in which the prostate is included. In addition, testosteroneis
important in the formation of the adrenal gland because testosterone, being an
androgen itself, is made it the adrenal gland after puberty. Therefore, some scientists
and researchers believe that there is a direct correlation between higher levels of
testosterone and prostate cancer. Although the intention of this paper is to focus on

The pathway begins with an androgen receptor, which binds different androgens,
such as estrogen and testosterone. (Estorgen is the hormone mainly found in women
although, men also have it. The form men have it in is called estradilol) The
androgen receptor is recognized by the ligands 5О± dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and
testosterone, which are both present in male sexual development. After the
testosterone is formed it is bound to a serum sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG)
and begins to circulate through the body. However, just because the SHBG is bound
to the testosterone only the free form of testosterone can enter into the prostate. Once
inside the prostate, the testosterone has changed into a more potent form of itself,
allowing the prostatic cells to begin to grow. When these cells begin to grow, the
prostate does as well. [2] Since testosterone is derived from a cholesterol molecule, it
can easily pass through membranes, like the plasma membrane, because it is
hydrophobic. Other studies believe that a mutation in the androgen receptor is found
to increase the cancer stage. These mutations are found between zero to four percent
in the latent stage and stage B prostate tumors. (Stage B prostate cancer is a cancer
that can be found during a digital rectal exam and is limited to the prostate. It is also
The United States And The Civil War
Starting in 1865, the United States began to experience a series of changes and
transformations that completely altered the landscape of the country. On the
political side, the federal government had to deal with the aftermath of the Civil
War and faced the challenge of reintegrating southern states back into the union
while also attempting to institute desegregation movements in the South. From a
social standpoint, almost four million slaves were freed by the end of the Civil
War and in search of a better life, while a wide majority of women saw their roles
begin to change as there was a 307% increase in women joining labor forces from
1880 1930. Meanwhile on the economic side, the entire nation was undergoing the
most significant industrial expansion to date, which would completely alter
everyday life. All of these profound and rapid changes left American citizens in a
state of disarray and in search for order, as they worried about how these changes
would affect their lives and social statuses. This growing paranoia among American
citizens, especially in the upper class, culminated with laws and court rulings being
passed that ultimately favored the wealthy elites and prevented these changes from
taking power away from the hands of the people that already had control. Although
there were many instances from 1865 to the start of the 20th century that can
illustrate the country s search for order, the most significant example can be drawn
from a decision made by the
T.S. Eliot’s The Waste Land
T.S. Eliot s The Waste Land The Most Influential Work in Modern Literature
T.S. Eliot s The Waste Land is considered by many to be the most influential work
in modern literature. First published in 1922, it captures the feelings and sentiments
of modern culture after World War I. Line thirty of The Waste Land, I will show
you fear in a handful of dust, is often viewed as a symbol of mankind s fear of death
and resulting love of life. Eliot s masterpiece with its revolutionary ideas inspired
writers of his era, and it continues to affect writers even today.
In the first two lines of The Waste Land, Eliot says, April is the cruellest month,

Not everyone appreciates life after suffering the death of someone close to him.
After the death of Mary, Ade is forced to leave the mission. A few weeks later,
Santigie must also return home after the death of his father, Chief Bombolai. The
Brothers Three, seemingly separated forever, are not appreciating life more than
they did before. Each boy is dead to the others; none of them believe they will ever
see each other again. After several months, however, the Brothers Three are reunited.
They promise to always stay together, and each boy has an optimistic outlook on life
again.
Eliot s own pessimism toward life amid the destruction of World War I is evident
throughout most of the poem. He uses many dark images to suggest death and
brokenness, but Eliot contrasts those depictions with pictures of life and energy. In
the second stanza of section one, Eliot vividly describes a desert wasteland. A few
lines later in the same stanza, he depicts a young hyacinth girl (l. 37) and a lush
garden full of flowers. These two contrasting images of life and death are mirrored in
the final pages of No Past No Present No Future. Ade and Bodil move Denmark after
their engagement. A few days before the wedding, Bodil receives a letter informing
her of Ade s affair with another woman. Throughout their relationship leading up to
this point, Bodil has stuck by Ade s side and been his life support; without her, things

The Field Of Special Education
The commitment of teaching in the field of special education is challenging. The
undertaking is prodigious, but when a child with disabilities flourishes under the
direction of a special education teacher s leadership, the outcome is life altering
for both. The main goal for a student with special needs is for the student to acquire
skills that are vital to achieve placement in a regular education classroom and be
able to take part in the class on a daily basis. In order for a strategy of inclusion to be
successful, effective collaboration between the parents and teacher is imperative.
A recent spike in the number of children born with some type of disability is evident
and local school districts must prepare themselves for the task of educating these
students. Many challenges lie in the path of a student with special needs, but the
greatest challenge they must conquer is the misconception that they are not capable
of learning. When a teacher highly qualified for special education provides the
appropriate education a student with disabilities requires, the student can and will
learn. Students identified as special needs display disabilities such as autism,
intellectual disabilities, loss of hearing and visual impairment (Hardman, Drew, Egan,
2014).
An individual s intelligence is determined by their IQ, also known as Intelligence
Quotient, which is characterized as mental skills that allow an individual to engage
in problem solving situations and the capability to learn.

Commissioner of the missionaries called the leaders of Umuofia to his headquarters
where he had the arrested. For many days they were starved and abused profusely.

The Method Of Birth Control Essay
What is the best method of birth control (or contraception)? Is one better or more
preferred than another? Are there any side effects that I should be concerned about?
These are just a few of the many questions to ask when discussing various types of
birth control methods with your doctor. There are many methods of birth control,
beginning with abstinence which means having no sexual contact at all, which is
100% effective. The various methods differ greatly and have various rates of
effectiveness. Some methods will produce side effects in some patients. There is
really no best method of birth control for everyone, but each individual can
determine the best choice for themselves with the help of their doctor. Many factors
including age and general health come into play when choosing a birth control
method. Most birth control methods are used by women, although there are a few
options available to men. The decision of which type of birth control method to use
is one that should be made by the patient seeking a solution and his/her doctor, after
careful review of all factors, which include:
How often the patient has sex, the number of sex partners the patient has, if the
patient wants to have children someday, how well each method works to prevent
pregnancy, the patient s age, the patient s health, possible side effects, or the patient s
comfort level with using the method. Even the most effective birth control methods
can fail. But chances of getting pregnant are
Political Irrectness In 1984 By George Orwell
In 1984, George Orwell demonstrates the dangers of policing thought and expression
through a fictional language called Newspeak , which is a a reduced language
created by the totalitarian state as a tool to limit free thought, and concepts that pose
a threat to the regime such as freedom, self expression, individuality, peace 1. Any
thought that is contrary to the state s construct is classified as thoughtcrime . The
NewspeakOrwell introduces is eerily similar to political correctness, which is
defined as conforming to a belief that language and practices which could offend
political sensibilities (as in matters of sex or race) should be eliminated 2. Political
correctness is a plague on modern society, since it stifles social progress. By
limiting free speech and encouraging a sense of victimhood, political correctness
augments the issues of racism, sexism etc. It also stifles debate by declaring many
important issues as taboo. Therefore, the political correctness that is rampant in
modern society, although aimed at promoting inclusion and tolerance, is in fact doing
nothing but increasing the division that people experience. The politically correct
agenda that is widespread and that is pushed by mass media and the political left
limits people s freedom of though and expression. One of the primary ways in which
it does this is through redefining language and deeming certain lanugage
unacceptable, so that contrary opinions are classified as discriminatory and
The Black Pearl From Pirates Of The Caribbean
When you think of black ships, what comes to mind? Most people probably think
of the Black Pearl from Pirates of the Caribbean. I am not here to talk about the
Black Pearl but a totally different kind of black ship. The black ships I am going to
talk about are massive steam powered ships that Commodore Matthew Perry of the
United States sailed into Japan in 1853. These ships bought fear into the hearts of
the Japanese and many art depictions of this will show that fear. Let s start with a
little background on the massive event. With the Tokugawa era, foreign travel was
banned and Japan closed itself to foreign trade. The only countries that Japan
traded with was the Dutch and the Chinese. The Dutch was relegated to Dejima in
Nagasaki which was an island that the Dutch were forced to live in and trade from.
Japan had only recently opened trading back up with China. Japan did not want
any foreign influence in their growing country. In 1844, King Holland II of
Holland sent a letter to the Shogunate to warn Japan of the outside world and its
evolving technology. However, the Tokugawa officials did not heed the warning
from the King and continued to live in their seclusion. Soon, the Japanese would
experience first hand what the outside world and its technology was all about. In
the summer of 1853, four roaring black ships sailed into the Edo Bay. Led by
Commodore Matthew Perry of the United States, these four fully canon powered
ships wanted to dock in Edo and deliver a
Comparing The Book And Movie Version Of Jaws
The film version of Jaws kept to the core story line of the novel, Jaws, however the
film was more action packed. There were many similarities but just as many
differences. The pertinent characters in the book were similar but had dissimilar
personalities. The key character, Police Chief Martin Brody, was comparable as he
is a family man, loves his job, and gets frustrated when facing the dilemma of
locating and destroying the great white shark. Another resemblance is the shark is
described in the book and depicted in the filmas a great white, approximately thirty
feet long and very ferocious. Two major differences are the film does not reveal

The image the filmmaker shows you the struggle of victims while iconic music is

scene in the movie that sums up the theme is while the men are on the boat, bonding
over their experience, Brody states You re gonna need a bigger boat (Jaws, ) as the
shark keeps ramming the boat.

terrifying the shark remains. The movie s disadvantage is to deliver the story live and
make it interesting enough to hold the viewer s attention for about two hours. The
director must distinguish what to eliminate from the book to keep the film

pressure. The active ingredient here are dietary nitrates that react with our
digestive juices. I m guessing that the juice in particular is effective because it s a
high concentration of nutrients. Two cups of juice would likely take four beets,
depending on the size. That s quite a lot for one glass! Because fiber is crucial to
absorption, try putting beetroot into your smoothies. Good juicers are mighty
expensive for having but one purpose. Modern countertop blenders are tough

it even if blood pressure isn t a concern. But it s not a source of magnesium or
potassium, so how does it work? For one, hibiscus tea is a natural diuretic. But it
also dilates blood vessels, and disrupts hormones that send vessel constricting
signals. Some studies show that it s as effective or almost as effective as medications

Identifying sources of stress.
Finding out what stresses us, isn t always easy as there is no particular reason at
times. The sources aren t always obvious. Sometimes it s the nonstop arrival of the
bills, we need more hours in the day or small issues that we might have with our
friends and families. Or it is Our thoughts, behaviors and certain feelings. Whatever
it is, we have control over them and we need to take charge of our lives. First step is
to identify what is stressing us. It is not apparent and sometimes hard to figure. At
times we ourselves might know the reason. As human beings, we make excuses and
assume stress is temporary at times. But what we don t realize is that we let it
become an integral part of our lives. At times we blame our stress on others and
external events. But we need to work on finding the root cause in order to address the

Substance Abuse On The Family
Introduction
Substance abuse is an issue that continues to grow in America at an alarming rate.
Families are an important factor for the onset of substance abuse as well as the
sustainment of the addiction (Gruber Taylor, 2006). The National Institute of Drug
Abuse defines substance abuse as A chronic disease characterized by drug seeking
and use that is compulsive, or difficult to control, despite harmful consequences (
Understanding Drug Use and Addiction, 2016). In order to prevent relapse, success is
found in the formation of familial and social relationships (Baharudin et al., 2014).

Statement of Problem
Recent literature has noted the impact drug use has on the family system and the
many diverse relationships that occur within the family. However, research
surrounding drug use and its impact on sibling relationships is lacking. Sibling
relationships are an important dynamic of a family system, therefore it is important
to research how drug use impacts these relationships as well.
Purpose of The Study
The present study wishes to describe the impact that general opiate drug use has on
sibling relationships as a qualitative level. While literature surrounding the impact of
drug use on the family system is prominent, the present study wishes to bridge the
gap in substance abuse literature and family relationships by extending the research
to focus solely on sibling relationships.
Research Question
How does general opiate drug use impact sibling relationships?
Literature Review
Substance abuse within the U.S. is growing at a fast pace with 100 people dying
everyday from drug overdoses, a rate that has almost tripled in numbers in the last 20
years. ( Addiction Statistics, 2017). While research is extensive surrounding
substance abuse in its most general sense, in recent years research has expanded to

How An Unplugged Vacation Essay
Your family wins a one week destination vacation and everyone is thrilled! When
you arrive, your family learns there is no screen time (no wi fi, tv, movies, phones).
Describe how your unplugged vacation goes.
The first thing I would do is find all the hiking and camping maps I could find. I
would try and find the most scenic backpacking hike because it s nice to be out in
nature. Since I like hiking so much, that would take place on the first two days and
nights. The third day we would hike back to the car and go to where we were
staying. The rest of the day we would hang out by a pool or lake. The next day we
would go to a water or amusement park. That would depend on where the vacation is
and what my family feels like doing. On the fourth day, we would go rock
climbing. It would be real rock climbing, like on rocks. My brother and I would
enjoy that but my parents wouldn t be climbing so ... Show more content on

It may be nice to know what other people are thinking about, but that it is like
invading his/her space. It is a law for people not to break into other people s
houses. Thoughts are like people s mental houses, so it would feel wrong to break
into them. Also, seeing someone s thoughts would make me see him/her in a
different light. It could be a light that they try to keep to him/herself. It is also like
being able to see into the future, you know what somebody wants to do, so you try
to help them achieve the goal. In the process, you would likely mess up and crush
their dreams. Not to mention, it would be cheating. In school, I would be in the
middle of a test and accidentally look at someone while I m trying to figure out an
answer. If I accepted the power, I could have read their mind and found the answer.
Although it is less serious, board games wouldn t be as fun. It would only be the
ones that have either strategy or guessing, but those are the most fun games. In my
future life, I will find more reasons why this would be a bad ability as

Ethical Considerations For A Crisis Management Plan
In order for a crisis management plan to be carried out, a crisis management team
will be needed to help the person dealing with a crisis situation. A crisis
management team is a team of people that have the knowledge and skills on how to
respond and deal with a crisis situation. The crisis management team may
compromise of individuals such as teachers, social workers, police officers, nurses,
paramedics, psychologists, and school principals. School counselors should also be

Also, another ethical consideration for school counselors would be if the student is
a danger to themselves or another student, then it s important to disclose that
information along with getting their parents involved. The legal considerations
that must be applied when responding to a student crisis is that school counselors
have a duty to protect students when they re going through a crisis. Going back to
the crisis of a student being a danger to another student, school counselors have the
legal duty to protect that other student as well as reporting to the authorities
(Kanel, 2015). It s important that school counselors know how to collaborate
before, during, and after a crisis. Before a crisis, the school counselor can
collaborate with teachers and other school staff members by training them and
coming up with ways on how to help students during a crisis situation. During a
crisis, the school counselor will show other staff members how to comfort students
during their time of need in the crisis situation. After a crisis, the school counselor
will help staff members by showing them how to help students recover from a
crisis as well as providing them resources if they need any more additional help.
The way that collaboration assist in a crisis response is that school counselors and
staff members come together to work as a team help students heal through a crisis
situation (Kelley, 2015). As for a post crisis response, School counselors and staff
members must prepare to come up with a plan along with intervention strategies and
resources in order to help students recover successfully from a crisis situation. There
are many techniques for school counselors to take into consideration that would be
helpful for students who experience a traumatic event such as cognitive behavioral

Frida Kahlo s Influence Essay
Frida Kahlo s Influence
Frida Kahlo s influence still lingers around the world. Even with Frida dead for
almost two decades, she is still celebrated and thought of as an idol. Frida Kahlo
was an artist in many different ways. Besides Frida s incredible talent to paint
surrealist thoughts and emotions on canvas, she also was and artist in her mind and
body. Frida s attire of traditional Mexican clothing, which consisted of long, colorful
dresses and exotic jewelry, and her thick connection eyebrows, became her trademark.

among the iron rods of the train, the handrail broke and went through
Frida from one side to the other at the level of the pelvis (104). Frida Kahlo was
left with a broken spinal column, a broken collarbone, several broken ribs, a
broken pelvis, and eleven fractures in her right leg. In addition her right foot was
dislocated and crushed, and her shoulder was out of joint. For a month, Frida was
forced to stay flat on her back, encased in a plaster cast and enclosed in a boxlike
structure. The steel handrail from the tram had literally gone through her body at
the level of the abdomen; entering on the left side, it had gone out through the
vagina. Due to this accident, Frida underwent thirty different operations and three
miscarriages. It was during this time that Frida Kahlo discovered her talent for
painting and drawing, also during this challenging time for her she produced The
Broken Spine . Having to depend on everyone but herself, Kahlo portrays herself as
weak and helpless. She depicts her self portrait with metal rods supporting her
broken spine. Although Frida s recovery was miraculous, she did have relapses of
tremendous pain and fatigue all throughout her life, which cause her to be
hospitalized for long periods of time, bedridden at times (106). She underwent

Essay On Butterfly. Teaching About Butterflies In The Classroom - Primary Playground ...

  • 1. Essay On Butterfly Crafting an essay on the subject of butterflies may seem deceptively simple at first glance, given the whimsical and delicate nature of these creatures. However, as one delves into the task, the intricate world of butterflies unfolds, presenting a myriad of challenges. The difficulty lies not in the scarcity of information, but rather in the abundance of it. The vast spectrum of butterfly species, their lifecycles, behaviors, and ecological significance demands careful selection and organization of details. Researching this seemingly ethereal topic can quickly transform into a complex endeavor. One must navigate through the realms of entomology, ecology, and even mythology to capture the essence of butterflies comprehensively. Describing the intricate patterns and vibrant colors requires a delicate balance between scientific precision and poetic expression. Striking this balance can prove to be a tightrope walk, where too much science risks losing the reader's interest, while excessive artistic flair might compromise the essay's credibility. Furthermore, addressing the broader context of butterflies in ecosystems and their role in pollination and biodiversity adds another layer of intricacy. Ensuring a coherent narrative that seamlessly weaves scientific facts with broader environmental implications is a challenge that requires finesse and a deep understanding of the subject. Additionally, choosing a unique perspective or angle to approach the essay can be demanding. It's not merely about presenting facts; rather, it involves engaging the reader with a fresh viewpoint, whether it be historical, cultural, or symbolic. In conclusion, while the topic of butterflies may seem light and airy, writing a comprehensive and compelling essay on the subject involves navigating through a labyrinth of information, balancing scientific accuracy with literary finesse, and presenting a unique perspective to captivate the audience. It is an intricate task that demands both dedication and skill to do justice to the intricate beauty of these delicate creatures. • 2. How Does Shakespeare Present Love How does Shakespeare present aspects of love in this passage? Examine the view that, in this passage and elsewhere in the play, Desdemona is presented as a typically naive young woman whose love is little more than hero worship. In this extract, Shakespeare presents love in contrasting and comparative ways. One prominent portrayal of love is the love demonstrated by Desdemona over her fawning of Othello and her father. This essay will explore how Shakespeare manages to achieve both of these points in the extract and from other points in the play. The first way Shakespeare presents aspects of love is Othello stating he crave fit disposition for my wife. The verb crave suggests that he is so dependent on Desdemona, he ceases to exist without her. The love here Shakespeare has presented reveals the extent of how deep Othello s lust for Desdemona runs through his veins, for he would not survive without her. Shakespeare may have written this to highlight the severe repercussions of interracial relationships, much like a cautionary tale ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... She is visibly distraught at the mere prospect of accidentally disrespecting her father, indicative when she states, I would not there reside to put my father in impatient thoughts. This suggests Desdemona is so captivated by obeying her father s worries, she is frightened of simply giving him impatient thoughts . Desdemona s utter allegiance for her father for intangible objects like mere thoughts represents her need to satisfy others, perhaps in order to satisfy herself. Shakespeare may have done this to reflect Desdemona s lack of self esteem, whereby she must please others to please herself. This would have pleased the Jacobean audience as many would have viewed women as inferior to men, and believed a woman s existence was to simply pleasure a man. This would also explain Desdemona s reluctance to defy her first hero her
  • 3. The Golden Girl Analysis One of the very most uplifting stories of the time, the story that was, still is and will continue to be the utmost heartening and inspiring, the story of the TRUE GOLDEN GIRL , the story of BETTY CUTHBERT , a victim of multiple sclerosis in 1969. From an ordinary worker in her father s plant nursery to someone who set nine world records, starting from an early age of 15 years, this is the life sketch of the renowned athlete Betty Cuthbert . The Golden Girl along with twin sister, Marion Cuthbert, was born to Ernest Cuthbert and Annie Tindall, on the 20th of April, 1938. For earning their livelihood, Cuthbert s father , At the age of eight, while in Ermington Public school, Cuthbert was persuaded by her coach June Ferguson, who himself... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As a result, in a race on the 16th of September 1956, she stunned her coach and set a world record of running 200m in 23.2 seconds. The following month, in the Olympic trials Cuthbert won the 100m and the 200m race which led to her getting selected for the Olympics. The actual games, was where Cuthbert had set her second world record by running 100m in 11.4 seconds. However, she was beaten by the German Athlete Christina Stubnick into the second position in the semi final. Yet, in the final, with her very own unique style, mouth agape, she ran down the track in 11.5 seconds winning Australia s first gold medal of that Olympics. It was in the same week, that she won the second gold medal by winning for an equal record of 23.4 seconds set earlier by Marjorie Jackson. Her third gold medal, was attained on the very same day, after winning the 4x100m relay race, where her team again set the record of 44.9 seconds. But, this record did not last long, as they themselves broke the record in the finals from the Great Britain of 44.5 seconds. This had already given Cuthbert 4 of her nine world World Records. It was after this set of triumphs and her efforts, that she received immense love and support from Australia and was nicknamed The Golden Girl . So, unconfident with herself, Cuthbert even bought tickets to attend the 1956 Olympics as a bystander. But even before all this, Cuthbert had already earned a

First person is when the author writes using words like you . Second person is when the author writes using words like I. Bryson also uses humor throughout the story to make hiking during a story more interesting and exciting for the readers. While he does this it makes you wonder what is actually real or if it is just his imagination. In the beginning Bryson writes in second person. After I read the short story I found out that second person is not as interesting as first or third person because they make you believe that they are talking to you when they are not. Second person is where you write from inside the story but ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This makes the story way more interesting and easier to understand. First person makes it more interesting person because it gives us a way into Bryson s head and feelings. First person is easier to understand because it does not say you which makes you think that the narrator is talking to you when they are not. First person is the type of writing a lot of authors use to connect with main character with the readers. When Bryson switched over to first person we learned more about what he thought about hiking, Katz, the maps, and how the weather was affecting his hiking trip. Bryson thought that it was going to be a nice weekend until he went up the mountains to find out that it was not going to be as nice as he thought. Bryson also thought that the weather would also make the hiking trip more interesting for Katz. Throughout the whole short story Bryson uses humor to make the story more interesting for his readers. At the beginning Bryson says that they walked hour upon hour, over rollercoaster hills, along knife edge ridges and grassy balds, through depthless ranks of oak ash, chinkapin, and pine. Humor is used right here because he over exaggerates about the ridges being like knife edges and depthless ranks of trees that they walked through. Nevertheless we can tell that Bryson has a sense of humor and likes to use it to make his stories more

Geostatistical Interpolation For Spatial Data Geostatistical Interpolation for Spatial Data Abstract: Continuous surfaces of rainfall climate variable are becoming increasingly used as input to spatially explicit atmospheric ,hydrologic ,ecologic and environmental models. Several methodologies exist for spatial interpolation of climate and weather parameters, among them is the ordinary kriging method .A large sampling effort is required to produce an accurate geostatistical map, and the extraction and analysis of each sample is often expensive, The effectiveness of a particular sampling scheme is dependent upon the spatial variability of the quantity being measured .In this paper ,we used the ordinary kriging method to estimate the rainfall distribution in Iraq. A total of 24 real points are used for evaluation. The results presents samples of maps for months January, October, March for years 2004, 2013 within the period of data. • 10. The Beliefs Of Colossions And The Nicene Creed According the dictionary.com the word creed oringinates from the old English word credo meaning, an article or statement of Christian beliefs which eventually broadens to any statement in which I believe . This creed is not the basis of teaching, rather it supports the sound doctrine of the Bible, where we will specifically be focusing on Colossians 1:15 20. The Nicene Creeddefends TRUE Christian faith by fully clarifying the deity of Christ, thus safeguarding the apostles teachings. We will be exploring how Colossions and the Nicene creed work together and their differences. The Nicene Creed says that through Christ all things were made, including heaven and earth and all that is, seen and unseen comparing to Colossians 1:16: In him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible . The comparison is EXACT however I feel like we can elaborate more on scripture since it s probably the basis for the creed. In verse 16 JESUS Christ is supreme over all of creation because He is the creator of it all! Paul leaves nothing out as to not be mistaken. GOD created ALL THINGS in HEAVEN and EARTH. All three Heavens, distant worlds, people, animals, places, things. Every last detail was created by GOD and the creed agrees fully with this fact. Pauls s mention of thrones, dominions, principalities or powers may refer to four classes of angelic beings. God made them too however this may be more of a corrective against false teachings promoting the worship of angels. In order to understand this we must dig deeper to that in which it s referring. This is a direct warning; Colossians 2:18 says, Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not see, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, Here the word cheat comes from an athletic arena where an athlete would be disqualified if he was caught cheating thus those who practice spiritual disciplines brought on by false teachers also face the threat of being thrown out of the game . False humility, in this case, probably refers to taking delight in the harsh treatment of the body, self harm and or humiliation. Finally, the worship of angles refers

Tourism is the backbone for a states economy, last year Colorado had a 160 million dollars in state and local taxes paid by tourist (Confused). Tourism is one way that states make lots of money. With the help of Amendment 33, Colorado will have $25 million to promote the state. The goal is to bring out of staters to Colorado and have they spend their money here. • 12. The Use Of Brutality And Persuasion The use of brutality and persuasion in interviews by Police. In this case analysis it will discuss the purpose of interrogatory deception when conducting interviews, ways in which it is used, some of the current debates over the practice, and examples of theories to explain corruption and brutality. The number one priority that should be thought about prior to any form of interrogation Interviewing is the suspect s rights and privacy are to be respected. However in some cases police have failed in investigation and interrogation and in rare circumstances have diverged off protocol, therefore resulting in not having done their job professionally (Inbau, 1961). In this short essay I will provide an example of when this has occurred. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... That practice has been abandoned due to its inhumane and brutal nature and its infringement of individual rights. Police were forced to seek an alternate means of obtaining information without validating a person s rights. This is now referred to as Interrogatory Deception, it is a psychological form of coercion, which can involve trickery and deceit. It is based on the utilitarian standpoint by police that the means justifies the outcome . This type of interrogation is performed in a way which elicits admissions by deceiving suspects who have waived their right to remain silent (Skolnick Leo, 1992). There are many theories that can be applied to understanding why police would use a form of deception. Here are three major criminological theories to explain why some police use deceitful tactics or inadvertently use them. The Social Conflict Theory implies that the government agencies function as a tool to be used in the interest for the dominant class, which is usually interpreted as those with privilege, good social status and economic resources (Kwon, 2011). Max Weber also explains further these ideas in his work, coined as Weberian theory . This theory can be implied here to suggest government institutions which includes police departments function for the sole purpose to protect the interests of the powerful within society. (Kwon, 2011). The Symbolic Interactionist Theory attempts to explain why some officers become corrupt and some do not. This

Show Sunnis we care by Charles Lister is about what Charles Lister thinks the United States should do to combat ISIS. It has a prescriptive issue and a conclusion. A prescriptive issue is a question about how the world should be. A conclusion is an answer to the question asked by the issue that the author wants the reader to accept. Some significant ambiguity is also present in Lister s article. Significant ambiguity is a word or statement that is unclear, and the word s meaning affects the reader s ability to accept the conclusion. I will prove that I have found the correct issue and conclusion and some significant ambiguity using text from Lister s article. The issue in the article What should the U.S. do about ISIS? Show Sunnis we care by Charles Lister is How should the United Statesrespond to ISIS. Proof of this issue can be found in Lister s writing. In the first paragraph he states that the United States cannot defeat ISIS militarily. The U.S. must help improve the sociopolitical issues in the Middle East. These two statements answer the issue I put forth. The second and third paragraphs discuss how ISIS has not only attracted foreigners to fight in its jihad; it has also befriended the oppressed Sunni Muslims. The Sunnis, consequently, are allowing ISIS to work freely in their territory. Paragraph three asks the question are the Sunnis still loyal to their country, or are they only loyal to their religion

Unfortunately, your idea of fine dining at home is Raman Noodles served in a bowl and not in the foam cup. Raman Noodles, even served in a bowl, will not impress any date. Now picture yourself sharing a warm, freshly crafted pizza. A pizza with fried chickensmothered with provolone cheese. A pizza with a pop of flavor provided by bell peppers. A pizza seamlessly put together with ranch dressing. This simple recipe for chicken ranch pizza will make you resistible to any date. To complete the following recipe, you will need one boneless chicken breast (an ideal size for the chicken breast is the size of your hand), soy sauce, lemon juice, a bell pepper, shredded provolone cheese, salt, Cayenne pepper, flour, olive oil, one large egg, and one frozen cheese pizza (preferably Di Giorno rising crust). First you need to prep the chicken breast. If your chicken breast is frozen, let your chicken breast thaw. To speed up the thawing process, you may use a microwave. However, set the microwave to defrost mode before thawing your chicken, which will prevent the chicken from drying out and will keep the chicken moist. Thaw the chicken, on defrost mode, for approximately five to six minutes. After thawing the chicken, take a sharp knife and make a horizontal cut across the middle of the breast. Always act carefully when working knives. Remember to keep the blade down and always cut away from yourself. Cut the chicken into long strips with roughly one quarter inch of thickness. Reducing the thickness of the breast will reduce the amount of time needed to cook the chicken fully. Now make a vertical cut every half inch to both strips of chicken. The chicken pieces should resemble the size and shape of your middle and ring fingercombined. After cutting the chicken, wash hands thoroughly with warm water and soap. Always wash your hands after touching raw meat to prevent cross commination. Do not touch any other ingredient before washing your hands. Next you need to assemble the marinade for the chicken. Start with a deep dish baking pan and add one and half cups of soy sauce or until the bottom of the pan is

There was a concern about declining moral and ethical values, which led to restrictions such as prohibition for example. The concern about these issues seemed most intense when they pertained to religion. In situations like these it always seems necessary to place the blame somewhere. The fear that surrounded this time period was a perfect way to spread the propaganda of the Klan. It was believed that this group of immigrants held their primary allegiance to a foreign sovereign over loyalty to the United States. This anti Catholicism was a driving force behind the popularity of the KKK. To show the mentality of the time, there was no tax on Klan fees because they were considered to be a benevolent society by the government. The fact that the KKK adamantly discriminated against the Irish Catholics may seem surprising because the majority of today s population would assume that the Klan s members encompassed any person who appeared to be Caucasian. This group of immigrants was also discriminated in the workplace. Employers made the wages for this group lower than wages of other employees. The intention for this ill treatment was that the immigrants would warn their Irish relatives of the bad conditions here in the U.S. discouraging them from immigrating as well as to encourage the Irish Catholic immigrant employees who resided in the U.S. to leave. This direct discrimination against the Irish Catholic immigrants was hypocritical in the democratic and liberal society of America. The pathway begins with an androgen receptor, which binds different androgens, such as estrogen and testosterone. (Estorgen is the hormone mainly found in women although, men also have it. The form men have it in is called estradilol) The androgen receptor is recognized by the ligands 5О± dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and testosterone, which are both present in male sexual development. After the testosterone is formed it is bound to a serum sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG) and begins to circulate through the body. However, just because the SHBG is bound to the testosterone only the free form of testosterone can enter into the prostate. Once inside the prostate, the testosterone has changed into a more potent form of itself, allowing the prostatic cells to begin to grow. When these cells begin to grow, the prostate does as well. [2] Since testosterone is derived from a cholesterol molecule, it can easily pass through membranes, like the plasma membrane, because it is hydrophobic. Other studies believe that a mutation in the androgen receptor is found to increase the cancer stage. These mutations are found between zero to four percent in the latent stage and stage B prostate tumors. On the political side, the federal government had to deal with the aftermath of the Civil War and faced the challenge of reintegrating southern states back into the union while also attempting to institute desegregation movements in the South. From a social standpoint, almost four million slaves were freed by the end of the Civil War and in search of a better life, while a wide majority of women saw their roles begin to change as there was a 307% increase in women joining labor forces from 1880 1930. Meanwhile on the economic side, the entire nation was undergoing the most significant industrial expansion to date, which would completely alter everyday life. All of these profound and rapid changes left American citizens in a state of disarray and in search for order, as they worried about how these changes would affect their lives and social statuses. This growing paranoia among American citizens, especially in the upper class, culminated with laws and court rulings being passed that ultimately favored the wealthy elites and prevented these changes from taking power away from the hands of the people that already had control. Although there were many instances from 1865 to the start of the 20th century that can illustrate the country s search for order, the most significant example can be drawn from a decision made by the

The undertaking is prodigious, but when a child with disabilities flourishes under the direction of a special education teacher s leadership, the outcome is life altering for both. The main goal for a student with special needs is for the student to acquire skills that are vital to achieve placement in a regular education classroom and be able to take part in the class on a daily basis. In order for a strategy of inclusion to be successful, effective collaboration between the parents and teacher is imperative. A recent spike in the number of children born with some type of disability is evident and local school districts must prepare themselves for the task of educating these students. Many challenges lie in the path of a student with special needs, but the greatest challenge they must conquer is the misconception that they are not capable of learning. The black ships I am going to talk about are massive steam powered ships that Commodore Matthew Perry of the United States sailed into Japan in 1853. These ships bought fear into the hearts of the Japanese and many art depictions of this will show that fear. Let s start with a little background on the massive event. With the Tokugawa era, foreign travel was banned and Japan closed itself to foreign trade. The only countries that Japan traded with was the Dutch and the Chinese. The Dutch was relegated to Dejima in Nagasaki which was an island that the Dutch were forced to live in and trade from. Japan had only recently opened trading back up with China. Japan did not want any foreign influence in their growing country. In 1844, King Holland II of Holland sent a letter to the Shogunate to warn Japan of the outside world and its evolving technology. However, the Tokugawa officials did not heed the warning from the King and continued to live in their seclusion. Soon, the Japanese would experience first hand what the outside world and its technology was all about. In the summer of 1853, four roaring black ships sailed into the Edo Bay. Although, I understand that money is necessary to maintain and live within society, but I feel that my passion and drive for real estate has given me the ability to say that it is a career that I would do without being paid. I believe that my passion came from the satisfaction that I see when my parents hand over the keys to their clients. The pride and joy that my clients have taken in the process of buying or selling a house has truly given me sincere appreciation for this line of work. White beans include navy beans, cannellini beans (white kidney beans), and Great Northern beans. One cup of navy beans contains 10% of your daily value of potassium, and 26% magnesium. Check labels on bags and cans, because some varieties provide even more! My favorite way to enjoy white beans is in a soup, much like this EASY recipe including kale. A University of London study reveals that drinking just over two cups of beetroot juice daily lowers blood pressure. The active ingredient here are dietary nitrates that react with our digestive juices. I m guessing that the juice in particular is effective because it s a high concentration of nutrients. Two cups of juice would likely take four beets, depending on the size. That s quite a lot for one glass! Because fiber is crucial to absorption, try putting beetroot into your smoothies. Good juicers are mighty expensive for having but one purpose. Modern countertop blenders are tough enough to break beets down to a smooth, silky texture. 6. Hibiscus tea. In other countries, hibiscus tea is a common natural cure for lowering blood pressure quickly. This tart herbal infusion made from the beautiful flowering plant has many medicinal benefits. It s very high in vitamin C and iron, so you should drink it even if blood pressure isn t a concern. But it s not a source of magnesium or potassium, so how does it work? For one, hibiscus tea is a natural diuretic. But it also dilates blood vessels, and disrupts hormones that send vessel constricting signals. Some studies show that it s as effective or almost as effective as medications like captopril or
