Twelfth Night Madness
Madness and foolishness make many appearances in Twelfth Night. Feste, the jester in count
Olivia s house states in act 3 scene 1, foolery, sir, does walk about the ord like the sun; it shines
everywhere. The first appearance of madness in the play is when Orsino, the Duke of Illyria, is
reciting a poem about love. Orsino, instead of showing madness as insanity or a mental illness he
shows it as mad with love. Some have made inferences that the images Orsino creates with the
poem is him hallucinating. Orsino in scene 1 act 1 recites, If music be the food of love, play on;
Give me excess of it, that, surfeiting, The appetite may sicken, and so die. That strain again! it had
a dying fall...Even in a minute: so full of shapes is fancy, that... Show more content on

Because of his rude and bossy actions Maria, Toby, Feste, Andrew, and Fabian made an evil plan.
They planned to trick him and make a fool out of the steward. By making him think Olivia loves
him and that he is a madman, they would sure get their revenge. Maria first wrote a letter to
Malvolio playing as Olivia. The letter is a love poem to Malvolio, claiming she loves him but
wishes to keep it a secret. the letter also asks him to wear yellow stockings and be rude to the
servants, and smile all constantly. Because he thinks it is Olivia he promises to follow her
request. When Malvolio encounter Olivia following the request of the prankster she thinks he s
gone mad, Malvolio says Remember who commended thy yellow stockings, . Olivia then orders
toby and maria to take care of him. When Maria and Toby are to take care of him they start
calling him a madman possessed by the devil. Maria, Toby, and the others have locked Malvolio
in a small dark chamber and Feste acts like a priest visiting the madman Malvolio. Feste soon
realizes the torture they are putting Malvolio through and gives him resources to write a letter.
When he is released from the mental torture chamber, he states that he will get them back
somehow. In act 5 scene 1 Malvolio exclaims, I ll be revenged on the whole pack of

The Lottery By Robert Frost Analysis
Mortality is at the forefront of the poems To and Athlete Dying Young, Design, My Papa s
Waltz, and the short story The Lottery. However, each of these works of art differ on the
connotation of death but all convey their own unique views in the same narrative way. All of the
poems have the same point of view in which their stories are told in but the short story, The
Lottery, stands alone as a story that is not told in the first person. The title of each work holds no
deeper meaning than a description of what is to follow with the exception of Design. Finally, each
author structured their own work in some ways that are similar to one and another, for example,
the use of such devices as rhyme schemes can be found in all three of... Show more content on

Just like the other two poems listed above, this is a personal narrative in which Robert recalls
watching a white moth landing on a white flower and being eaten by a white spider. Frost refers
to the moths wings as a white piece of rigid satin cloth referring to the white satin that is lined in
a casket. Robert refers to the spider, flower and moth as characters of death and blight like
characters on a keyboard, which raises the question of whether or not the moth landing on the
white flower that was secretly holding his predator was simply coincidence or fate. He
compared the wings of the moth to the wings of a kite in which both are blown around by the
wind and questions what force is behind the questioned if the moth was steered by this force.
The title, Design, differs from all three of the other narratives in that it holds greater meaning
than just a description of a story that follows. The word design in this case has a double
meaning. Robert Frost cleverly titled his poem to make you think much more deeply and
question why things happen the way they do. The title refers to a much deeper philosophy in
which there is an argument for the existence of some higher being (a God) who is actually
controlling everything, including the death of the moth. The structure of this poem is fourteen
lines of iambic pentameter that consists of a short (or unstressed) syllable followed by a long (or
stressed syllable). Being fourteen lines of iambic pentameter, this poem is a sonnet, specifically, a
sonnet of the Italian (Petrarchan) model that consists of two stanzas. The first stanza is an eight
line octave and the second stanza is a six line sestet (the last six lines of a sonnet). There was no
clear rhyme scheme (ABBAABBA

China, A Home And Folk Remedy
The essay gives a synopsis of Chinese culture in terms of life processes, health and illness,
Maintaining wellness, causes of illness, traditional way of healing the cure, and the impact of
cultural background of health professional during treatment. The context of this essay will highlight
the concept of cultural stereotype and its influence on ones healthdue to the customs and beliefs. In
china, a home and folk remedy is a conventional way of treating illness and is preferred over the
western medical practices. (Dixon.B, 2009, pp. 4 5). Some orthodox Chinese communities assume
that incongruity of qi and yin and yang disturbs the health of people. (Dixon.B, 2009, pp. 4 5). The

The way people perceived life in China affect their mental health and illness.
Traditional Chinese practices have great contribution in maintaining wellness in china. The
psychiatric wellness is maintained when the activities of mind, body and soul combine together.
(Dixon.B, 2009, pp. 4 5). Natural recourses like hot springs and healing waters are required to
maintain wellness. Indeed, the conventional Chinese Medicine is cultural asset of wellness

Health and Illness is determined by the interaction between healthy mind, body and soul. In china,
self stigmatization is very common in people with mental illness. For example, Young and Ng

The Themes In Harrison Bergeron, By Kurt Vonnegut
Harrison Bergeron is a young adult short story by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr whose theme is a dystopian
story. It is told that in 2081, people are equal, to be prГ©cised must equal. People who are
beyond normal are forced to hide their ability in order to become equal. People who go against
the rules will be punished or even killed just like Harrison who declared himself as the Emperor
as he rebelled to the Handicapper General. In the story, it can be found that the General takes the
control of the society in order to make everything balance. Everything should be the same, no less,
no more and everyone should agree with that. The mainstream holds the voice. They are the one
who decide what is right and vice versa. This issue becomes a reason why Harrison... Show more

It has already stated that some people in Harrison Bergeron are ahead of normal. Harrison s father,
George, is punished by the General by putting a handicap radio in his ear so that the government
can easily distract him whenever he thinks about things too much. (...) the transmitter would
send out some sharp noise to keep people like George from taking unfair advantage of their
brains. (line 16 18, p.1). The beautiful ballerinas are wearing mask since they are not allowed to
show their attractive faces. Becoming different only leads people to the isolation. Moreover, in
an extreme context, they can be prisoned just like the General did to Harrison. Harrison is
described as an almost perfect child. He has a handsome face, athletic body, and has higher
intelligence than most people in the country. Realizing that Harrison will only become a threat to
the equality of society, the Handicapper General soon prisons him when he was only fourteen. In
addition to that, she also puts a lot of stuffs in Harrison s body in order to make him suffer a lot.
As it written in the short story, Harrison Bergeron ... is a genius and an athlete... should be regarded
as extremely dangerous (line25 28, p.3). For the mainstream society, the minority is a threat to their
steadiness. Therefore, they do, even worse, things and force the minority to make them as same as

Enemy Of The People
The Goodman Theatre s production of An Enemy of the People was an entertaining adaptation of
Ibsen s controversial play. Dr. Thomas Stockmann thinks he is a hero for discovering bacteria in the
community s baths, but his brother, Mayor Stockmann, sees the situation in a different light.
Releasing Dr. Stockmann s discovery to the public would ruin the community s main source of
revenue, and fixing the infrastructure mistake would cost an immense amount of time and money.
The performance follows Dr. Stockmann s cycle of personal discoveries and outbursts of
frustration, while certain members of Stockmann s community cannot seem to make up their mind
on who they support. In the midst of both a political and moral crisis, self interest is a driving...

being pregnant with the couple s first child. Katherine s pregnancy made sure that Dr. Stockmann
could still fulfill his hope to raise a future generation of truth supporters. Additionally, Katherine s
emotional surges exemplified the mood swings experienced during pregnancy. The decision to
leave out Captain Horster left Dr. Stockmann with no one but his wife and daughter, Petra, to
support him. Without a community ally Dr. Stockmann appears extremely alone when the play
concludes, but in his aloneness Dr. Stockmann still remains strong in his

An Argument Essay on the Use of Cell Phones in Public Places
Technological advances during the last fifty years of human history have given billions of
people instant access to unprecedented communication methods. Individuals are no longer
limited to letter writing and sending telegrams to convey a verbal message. E mails, text
messaging, video chat, instant messenger, and various social media outlets are all platforms for
human communication in the modern world. One of the most significant communication
devices to surface from the technological serge is the cellular telephone. Every individual with a
cell phone has the ability to call any person, place, or agency at anytime as long as the individual
is within the service provider s coverage area. The prevalence of cell phone owners has increased
the use of cell phones in public places, such as schools, restaurants, and theaters, and their use in
public is associated with both positive and negative implications. Some argue cell phones should
be banned from public places because they are a social distraction, inhibit the user from being
able to focus properly, and can cause safety concerns by interfering with airplanes and hospital
equipment. Despite the negative impacts associated with cell phone use in public places, cell
phones must be allowed in public for safety reasons, emergency scenarios, and to support the
individual s right to personal freedom. Only a few short decades ago, the thought of nearly every
person on the planet having a personal, cellular phone in their

Legalizing Marijuana Argumentative Analysis
Marijuana has been growing controversy for generations amongst a numerous different groups of
individuals. On November 4, 2015, Mexico had announced that its nation would be legalizing
marijuana (New York Times). On the same day Bernie Sanders introduces a legislation to end
federal ban on marijuana (The Guardian). In almost everything political marijuana is mention and
brought up to discussion. The whole idea of marijuana plays a small part in our lives whether we
want it to or not, whether we support it or not.
Growing up I have always had the impression that marijuana was bad and adults would paint a
very vivid image of how horrible life would be when smoking marijuana. Often times the grown up

With a wide variety in cannabis strains, the side effects of each strain differ from one another based
on many different factors. Attempting to pin point how each strain effects an individual is more
complicated then it appears. With cannabis being a very historic herb, the plant in itself as evolved
substantially over time and with advances in today s technology growers have the ability to cross
bread plants creating new strain or even create synthetic versions of cannabis. Since it is rather
difficult to pin point the side effects that every strain can produce most of these strains all share
some similar effects as a whole. Physically marijuana can affect your respiratory system causing
respiratory system to become irritated or if ingested can cause nausea and liver complications that
can scar liver tissue. At the same time studies have shown that cannabis can have slight effects on
the immune system, weakening the immune system. Marijuana has also been known to speed up
the heart rate which can pose a huge problem with individuals with heart conditions. Mentally
marijuana releases a chemical called euphoria which helps to stimulate dopamine in the brain. This
high would has been known to increase feelings of paranoia, hallucinations, and difficulties
concentrating. Some users have reported to have difficulties finishing task little alone remembering
the task assigned. Some users have difficulties remembering the high at all. These are all common
effects that most strains have in common with each other. Although many of these effects may
sound rather intimidating and paint a negative picture about marijuana, if monitored correctly and
responsibly marijuana also has many great beneficial uses as well. Overall marijuana, like other
substances legal and illegal, is not %100 safe and can pose many health complications

Compare And Contrast Rosemary s Baby And The Omen
Heit argues that both films deliberately work against the concept of free will as they perpetuated
the prevalent conceit of the sixties that control over one s fate no longer existed, that choice was
an illusion; and that, at any time, for reasons beyond one s comprehension, the devil could
destroy one s life . The protagonist in Rosemary s Baby is left to deal with the knowledge of
being raped by the devil, who has chosen her to be the mother of his child. Meanwhile in The Omen
, Damien does not get to choose or participate in the act of free will as his fate had already been
chosen prior to his birth, having been made the Antichrist by the devil. He is to protect the legacy
he has been handed with, no matter who or what may come his way.... Show more content on

Their portrayal of evil is comparative, and the idea of the other being influenced by the thought
that fault is regularly pushed elsewhere is outstandingly common in both films. On the other hand,
their executions are diverse as far as style. As specified in this essay, Polanski concentrates more
on a persuading story that stays within certain components to create a practical setting around
surrealism. The circumstance in Rosemary s Baby is ironic on the grounds that babies are one of
the main things in this world that we consider totally guiltless, and it s difficult to choose whether
Rosemary s infant is pure or not, yet, it has done nothing to strip itself of its honesty. Donner
heavily focuses his attention to detail regarding The Omen and its aesthetics; how the camerawork
is setup to exemplify the mood of death, presented in such ways that it symbolises the power of the
devil. Yet, when looking at the insidiousness that is of the two devilish youngsters, the observers
are acquainted with Donner s depiction of Damien is much more horrific in the sense that the child
actually kills people while under the control of Satan, whereas Polanski leaves the spectator
assuming that Rosemary may have found happiness in the end through the tribulations of

Magic Mike XXL
Magic Mike XXL, the sequel to the film Magic Mike that was released back in 2012, is
hilariously entertaining and the eye candy isn t bad either. Channing Tatum is back and hotter
than ever in his return to the stage for a stripper reunion in Myrtle Beach, SC. And while, I am
never a big fan of sequels I have to say that at least this one, simply creates its own story with
very few references to the first movie, which is nice, especially for those who never saw Magic
Mike the original. It seems, at least to me, that this movie works hard to break some of the
stereotypical thoughts about strippers, moreover, it makes you realize that these are not just a
bunch of hot bodied individuals but actual men in pursuit of real life. The movie

Why Is The Rights Of The Accused Is Proven Accused

History of the Rights of the Accused and the Warren Court
One of the most well known epithets in the United States is innocent until proven guilty. This
means that until a prosecution has proven beyond a reasonable doubt that a person accused of a
crime has indeed committed that crime, he or she is to be presumed innocent of all charges. In
theory, this idea upholds the sense of democracy and fair trial upon which the country was
founded. In practice, however, it is less so. Oftentimes, an accusation or a criminal charge defines
the person accused, as he or she is already presumed guilty in the court of public opinion.
Especially in the cases of high profile trials, most people accept that the person ... Show more

The Constitution clearly outlines the rights of the accused and what steps must be taken before an
accused person can be punished. One of these rights is The Writ of Habeas Corpus, which means
that a person cannot be held or detained for an unreasonable amount of time without having been
charged with a crime. This prevents the government and law officials from imprisoning citizens
without cause. Today, a large number of criminal conviction appeals are raised under the habeas
corpus privilege, [wherein] individuals ... convicted of crimes ... may demand that the government
justify his or her physical confinement (ThisNation). In other words, even if a person has been
convicted of a crime, if it is found that his or her right to habeas corpus has been violated, it can
nullify the conviction.
Another right that is guaranteed to the accused is the right to a trial by jury. Article III of the
Constitution guarantees that those who are accused of crimes have the right to have their guilt or
innocence determined by a panel of fellow citizens (ThisNation). A person cannot be convicted of
a crime without receiving a fair trial, during which the prosecution must present its proof that the
accused is guilty. If there is not enough proof to determine that the accused person did commit the
crime, then the jury cannot convict, and the accused is free to go. There are some exceptions to
the trial by jury right, such as if a person is accused of a crime that has a penalty of

A Night in Afghanistan Essay
Shhhh! my mother whispered as the tanks rumbled by under the cold Afghan night, the stars
twinkling above the mountains surrounding us. From our hiding place in the brush along the
shoulder of the dirt path through the Khyber Pass, I could see tanks stretching to infinity and, try
as I might, I could not find an end to the convoy of trucks. Huddled along with my father, mother,
and infant brother and sister, we peered anxiously as the Russian Spetsnaz scouts rolled past us in
jeeps ahead of the convoy heading toward the Afghanistan Pakistan border the very place our
destination lay.

walked on.
As dawn approached with a faint hint of turquoise along the horizon in front of us and we finally
sighted Peshawar the border village in Pakistan in the distance, my thoughts were not of the next
step in our journey, but of the steps already behind us. I knew nothing of war, politics, or
Communism. All I could grasp was that I was leaving the only home I had known for the first
three and a half years of my life for an unknown, an abstraction, a void that held neither the warmth
nor the familiarity of my home in the suburbs outside Kabul. Behind me, just beyond the bend in
the road and miles away, were my friends, my teachers, and the only feeling of security I had ever
known. Ahead of me lay the worst kind of fear fear of the unknown. All I knew was that we were
traveling to a place called America. After an 18 month waiting period in Pakistan, we were
permitted to enter the United States and on March 21, 1983, a plane carrying my mother, father,
brother, sister, and myself landed at Los Angeles International Airport, completing our long journey.
Yet through all my experiences, the years have not wiped from my consciousness the memories of
the final hours before our crossing of the border that cold September night. My father left behind

My Life As A Social Worker
While walking to work I was pondering to my self why I wanted to be a social worker. As a young
man I have always wanted more out of life. I grew up in a small farm town North side of the
border of Mexico. I am the oldest of three children (two sisters). My parents were both working
with the school district, my father a teacher/coach, my mothera social worker. My parents were well
educated and believed in obtaining an education. They taught me school is a great way to
enhance my life. I did well in my early years of my education, but life is the greatest teacher above
all else.
My parents divorced during the first year of high school then my mother became ill with cancer.
My life shifted from son to caregiver, at the early age of fourteen I had to get an emergency
driver license to drive my mother to chemo and everywhere she needed to go. While she was
taking her treatments in a town an hour away I did my homework in the waiting room. I tried to
maintain a high GPA to get in to a good school. It was a tough ordeal and heart wrenching
challenge that shook me to my core. I was there for her and helped clean our house and I drove
my sisters to school when my mother couldn t. At school I dove into books and I spent most of
my time in the library.Unfortunately she couldn t make it, my mother fought hard for a year and a
half but it was her time. This would strengthen my resolve to become someone she could be proud
of. After the funeral my aunt moved in with us after a

Noah s Unified Language
The descendents of Noah had one unified language, with few words so as to be easily
understood by all. As one they went east, and finding a land which they called Shinar, they
settled in the land and agreed to begin building a city from good bricks and mortar, made of the
clay of the land and bitumen respectively. This city they said would have a tower with its top in
the heavens, and by it they would make a name for themselves, in the case that they be divided
across the earth. The Lord came down and saw their progress, observing their unity and power, and
saw that they were able to do anything within their imagination. Because of this God, confused their

The garden he creates, Eden, is made specifically for Adam with the tree of life as well as the Tree
of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. God tells Adam that he may eat of any tree in the garden
apart from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. This gives Adam a choice to continue
being in union with God, or to oust himself from God s presence by disobeying God and eating
the fruit. God then makes Eve to be a companion of man, named by Adam, therefore imposing his
dominion over her. When Eve gives Adam the Fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and
Evil, he is accepting the removal of the garden, not deliberately but because of his inability to
resist the temptation. The return to chaos follows the expulsion from the garden; for you out of it
[dust] you were taken; and to dust you shall return. Immediately following the expulsion, Cain kills
his brother Abel, and division of the first family occurs. The further division and confusion of
families is seen in the genealogies of the later

Coastal Adaptation Research
The association of length of residency with attitudes toward publicly provided community wide
services has long been documented in the literature outside of economics (Kelsy 1998; Spain 1993).
Within economics _and despite the ubiquitous studies in the valuation literature that address
preference heterogeneity as it relates to measures of socioeconomic status (e.g. age, gender,
education and income) _ research that considers duration of residency as a potential source of
preferenceheterogeneity is relatively rare. Among the few available studies are Cho et al, (2005;
2008) and Johnston et al. (2003) whose findings suggest that welfare for land conservation
attributes is significantly different depending on length of residency. That is, willingness... Show

The first approach uses years of residency in the town as a continuous predictor. The second
approach categorizes this continuous predictor and create indictors to allow for discrete shifts

the survey implementation). This period (between 2010 and 2014) has bracketed three flooding

The current cost system allocates overhead costs once a year, as a function of direct labor dollars.
This allocation strategy results in:
Inaccurate allocation due to products at various levels of automation No incentive to reduce the
cost of materials A situation where a reduction in production will result in less overhead allocated to
the respective product Lack of incentive for employees to continually reduce their costs throughout
the year as a result of the annual calculation of overhead allocation.
Assuming that the company s goal is to maximize profits, the current cost system is not an
appropriate tool for strategic planning. The ambiguity of the overhead costs per product makes it
difficult to accurately analyze the cause and effect relationships of changes and/or improvements to
specific product line.
If the cost system reported sales volume and/or price we would be able to conduct an activity
analysis to determine an appropriate cost function to determine the best cost driver for each product.
4. Manifold Recommendation Based on Current Cost System
If we assume that the 1991 products, prices, sales volumes, materials costs and overhead are
unchanged from 1990 and that there are no process improvements that would lead to a reduction
in the direct labor of a product, it can be inferred that the company s profits would be identical to
those of 1990, as stated in Appendix B. However, if the same is assumed

United Kingdom Study Finds d Nav Effective in Dropping Average Blood Glucose Levels
According to a previous study conducted by the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust in the
United Kingdom, which is part of the country s National Health Service, patients who used the d
Nav service had a substantial decrease in their average blood sugar levels (HbA1c); furthermore,
there was a significant reduction in the costs associated with diabetic care during the 12 months of
the study.
Ann Baker is Blue Cross/Blue Shield s vice president of wellness and care management: She
states that BC/BS evaluated the data from the United Kingdom study and they are eager to explore
the potential d Nav has in reference to patient care and cost reductions for their members in
Michigan who have type 2 diabetes. Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Michigan is the first health plan
within the U.S. to evaluate the d Nav as part of their mission to provide their members who have
chronic conditions with innovative solutions.

A. The term bystander refers to the phenomenon in which the greater the numbers of people
present, the less likely people are to help a person in distress. When an emergency situation
occurs, observers are more likely to take action if there are few or no other witnesses, but in other
cases the observers are most likely to be ignorant either because they don t want to intervene or
feel as if it s not there responsibility to take action.

Comparing The Scion And Cadillac Car
Cadillacs are another vehicle that is marketed based on the age of potential consumers. Cadillac
has a reputation of being associated with the older buyer whereas the Toyota Scion appeals to the
younger. These are the similarities and differences between the 2016 Cadillac ATS Coupe vs. 2016

Marketing for the Scion and Cadillac is similar by adding addons to the car. With a purchase of a
new car, you are able to add specific features that do not come with the car. Both the Scion and

Georg Ferdinand, Philipp Cantor
Georg Ferdinand Ludwig Philipp Cantor was born on March 3, 1845 in Saint Petersburg,
Russia. His father, Georg Waldemar Cantor, was a successful merchant working as a
wholesaling agent, then later found another job as a broker in the St. Petersburg Stock
Exchange. Georg s father was born in Denmark and had a deep passion for culture and arts. His
mother, Maria Anna Böhm, was from Russia and very musical. Georg inherited his love for
music and arts from his parents, considering he was a wonderful violinist. Georg was brought up
as Protestant, which was his father s religion, but his mother was a Roman Catholic. Georg had a
private tutor for a while until he attended a primary school in St. Petersburg. In 1856, his family
moved to Germany because of his father s poor health to stay away from Russia s rough winters
and to find warmer weather. Georg was never happy with the move but made the most out of it.
They first moved to Wiesbaden, Germany than later moved to Frankfurt, where Georg studied at the
Realschule in Darmstadt. In 1860, Georg graduated with a distinction from Realschule as an
outstanding student in mathematics, especially trigonometry. In 1862, Georg asked his father for
permission to study mathematics and was thrilled when his father consented and entered University

What Are The Characteristics Of A Hero InThe Brothers...
The lesson that I choose to rewrite is lesson two when we discussed The Brothers Grimm and the
German Fairy Tale. In question two you asked what are the characteristics of a hero in these
stories and I feel like I didn t actually use the reading to support how I felt when answering the
question. I think that adventurous, strong and brave are characteristics of a hero in these
stories. In each story there is a fight for what an individual wants or needs and nothing stops
them. Rapunzel wants her prince and the enchantress sends her to a dessert with her twins alone
and while blind the prince finds his family and they live happily ever after. In Rumpelstilzchen
the young girl said she would promise this little man her first born if she became queen and
when the time came she had three day to think of his name and with many days help from
messenger she got his name and was able to keep her first born. These two stories alone show the
adventure, bravery and strength of never giving up and getting what they want no matter what.
These are characteristics in each story just told differently. 2. Why is one story s kind of violence
inappropriate while another s violence is accepted almost without notice? Is there ever a place for
violence in works of literature for children? Violence is seen in many different ways when reading
literature. You have to keep into consideration the way it happens, who it hurts, and the lessons you

Cryptography Is Art Of Secret Writing
1.
The term cryptography develops from a Greek word which implies hidden or secret writing.
Cryptography is art of secret writing. The primary service provided by cryptography is capability
to send information between two participants in an effective way that halts others from reading it.
This type of cryptography provides other services namely,
integrity checking→ reassuring the recipient regarding a new message in which the message
doesn t seem to be altered viewing that it was actually given by a legal source.
Authentication в†’verifying someone s (or something s) identity.
Messages within its original form is named plain text or clear text. The hidden info is generally
known as cipher text. The procedure for producing cipher text from plain text is named
encryption. The reverse of encryption is known as decryption. While cryptographers invent
clever secret codes, crypt analysts plan to break these codes. Both these disciplines constantly
make sure to keep in advance of one another. Ultimately, the successes of the cryptographers rests
on the cryptography systems are likely to involve both an algorithm as well as a secret value.
Here the secret value is called as key. The purpose for having a key alongside an algorithm is the
idea that it can be problematic to keep devising new algorithms which allows reversible
scrambling of data, and it will be hard to quickly explain a newly devised algorithm with the person
you d be willing to start communicating securely.

The Cambodian Genocide In The Twentieth Century
The Cambodian genocide was one of the worst atrocities in the twentieth century. Innocent civilians
living in Cambodia were targeted by a communist group called the Khmer Rouge. Victims such as
Cham Muslims, Buddhist Monks, Christians, and anyone who was considered a threat to the
ultimate goal of the perpetrators were extensively tortured or brutally murdered. Year Zero was a
society that the leader of the Khmer Rouge, Pol Pot, wanted Cambodiato adapt. In order to do carry
out his plan, he made everyone become farmers and started the genocide by evacuating the capital
of Cambodia, Phnom Penh. On April 17th, 1975, the Khmer Rouge Army stormed into Phnom Penh

A staggering 1.7 million Cambodians died in this genocide, many killed in what were known as
killing fields. The countryside is where most of the killings occurred. Victims were taken alone
or with groups around sunset, and were brutally murdered in these killing fields. They were hit
with a club to save bullets, as well as with shovels, hoes, or iron bars. After the genocide, these
killing fields were converted into mass graves where thousands of remains were left. Some of the
remains showed that methods such as being suffocated with plastic bags were used to murder.
Ranachith Yimsut, the sole survivor of the Tonle Sap Lake Massacre by the Khmer Rouge in the

The Debate Over Abortion Essay
With the ongoing debate and the advancement of technology in determining the viability of a
fetus, abortion, the ending of a pregnancy by removing a fertilized egg, has become increasingly
controversial. The morality of abortion has caused many to separate into opposite sides of the
spectrum, pro life and pro choice. The arguments over abortion has stirred a continuous debate
between a pro choice stance such as that presented by the analogical reasoning of Thomson or
Glover s examination of social context and a pro life position argued by a moral view of
personhood by Noonan. The ethical arguments presented by the conflicting views in the abortion
debate has caused others to taken into consideration a sociological account visible in... Show more

Thomson concludes that it does not matter whether or not a fetus is a person because even if a
fetus is granted a right to life, it is not accurate to assume that abortion is murder (2, Thomson,
CC p.192). Murder is an intentional act that is unjustified while abortion is not direct killing but
results in the death of the fetus. For instance, in cases involving rape or other conditions of
unintended pregnancies, a woman undergoing abortion is not necessarily committing murder
since she was not responsible for an unwanted pregnancy. Therefore, in no case should the
personhood of the fetus determine the morality of abortion. Thomson suggests that having a
right to life does not grant the right to use another person s body (3, Thomson, CC p.191). In
other words, the fetus s right to life does not apply to any moral obligation of the mother s body.
Abortion is justifiable because there is no obligation on part of the women for an unwanted
pregnancy. In the case of the sick violinist, the kidnapped person is not morally obligated to make
sacrifices and save the life of the violinist. Since the violinist has no right to use another person s
body, it would not be considered murder or a violation of the violinist s rights if the kidnapped
person was to refuse and pull the plug. On the other hand, John Noonan criticizes

Latin American Cultures Midterm
Section 1 Question 1 Throughout the pre Columbus era in Latin America, The Mayas, Aztecs, and
Incas built unique civilizations, each with its own distinctive achievements, creating distinctive
cultures to unite their individual societies. The Mayas, Aztecs, and Incas not only shared many
similarities in the ways they built their civilizations, but also had differing characteristics that made
each people its own. Civilization in the Americas originated as early as 7000 B.C. as a result of a
land bridge between Asia and the Americas, formed when the Bering Strait connecting current day
Russia with Alaska united the two continents during the Ice Age. The humans who crossed the land
bridge, mostly hunter gatherers, eventually developed advanced civilizations throughout North and
South America. By around 900 B.C., the Olmec civilization one of the first advanced civilizations
in the Americas populated parts of Mexico and Central America, where they developed
advancements such as building the first pyramids. About 200 years later, descendants of the
Olmecs emerged the Maya, Zapotec, Totonac, and TeotihuacГЎn civilizations. Over time, the
Mayas, Aztecs, and Incas emerged as subsequent descendants of the first humans who populated the
Americas. The Mayan civilization emerged as early as 2000 B.C. in Mesoamerica, Southern Mexico

Benefits Of Single Species Recovery Programmes
World conservation is at a crossroads of judgement making and New Zealand provides an
extreme example of issues and possible solutions. On the positive side, more than 30% of total
land area in New Zealand has been set aside for as National Parks (DOC, n.d.) and various
reserved land and is run by the Department of Conservation. Single species recovery programmes
have been successful with the use of eradication of offshore islands pests to for reintroduction of
threatened onshore species such as the Kakapo on Cod fish island. However, this is in marked
contrast to biodiversity decline with up to 50% of native birds threatened due to introduced pests
such as mustelids and possums. With legislation (Conservation Act 1987), public opinion and
changes in current practices, conservation and development might be able to coexist to a point
where each can be sustainable (Craig, 2000).
Brief history of land conservation in New Zealand till 1969
New Zealand is a special place as it was the last major land form to be settled as it is separated by
large oceans so was largely unknown. Before the first settlers arrived, the country had been
isolated for some 85 million years with the result of different plant life, large and flightless birds as
well as no ground living mammals ( Conservation a history , n.d.).
With the early Maori and European settlers bringing in mammals for sport and food, this had a
devastating effect on the endemic wildlife population with up to 40% of species

Fiddler On The Roof Sparknotes
In Fiddler on the Roof, changing religious traditions affects how people find their soulmates
because instead of the typical arranged marriage, people are looking for love. Yet, traditional
religious arranged marriages could also sprout love. Fiddler on the Roof is a musical set in
Russia, in a small Jewish town called Anatevka, in 1905, Tevye is the guide and narrator of his
story of living in the town of Anatevka. His family and the entire town are Orthodox Jews and
follow strict traditions. While, at the time, it was a Jewish custom for a matchmaker and parents
to choose husbands for all of the daughters, Tevey s daughters have other ideas in mind. Three of
the five daughters fall in love with men who do not quite fit the image that Tevye and his wife,
Golde, (who were brought together by an arranged marriage) had in mind. While love wins in the
end, watching the changing traditions and accepting them is very hard for Tevye. Throughout
Fiddler on the Roof, Tevye examines his Jewish beliefs and questions how he can walk the
pathway of his faith when the world around him is changing. Fiddler on the Roof uses the soulmate
trope, exemplified by the idea... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

brought to her work show how the changing understanding of male and female roles and the
expectations that come with that have helped contribute to the new social revolution and the
effects it has had on love and family. Fishman s ideas are exemplified by Tevye s eventual
acceptance of Tzeitel and Motel s relationship. After seeing the passion that is so clearly in Motel s

Most of their record keeping rely on paperwork that is cumbersome and almost impossible to

Since this is a single shop, the desktop software will be sufficient since entry will be from a single

A Database For A Relational System
Database Normalization Srikanth Karra Instructor: Dr. Steven Case Southern New Hampshire
University When we design a database for a relational system, the main objective in the
development of a logical data model is to create an accurate representation of the data its
relationship and constraints. The data should be split in different tables, which can then be joined
together based on their relations with each other and the data found in each one of them. These
tables should therefore be designed well to save on space and ensure that cases on data
inconsistency are eliminated. Another aspect, which will be saved on, is space that is occupied by
repetitive data. Normalization is the process that is used to remove redundancy... Show more

It is highly recommended by practitioners that all databases be designed to at most the third
normal form as there s little or no benefit designing to the higher normal forms. The type of
activity or transactions to be performed against the database should determine how normalized
this database will be to achieve the performance benefits. Importance of having a normalized
database There are many advantages to normalizing databases. The first being the ability to
minimize modification anomalies by reducing redundancy, maintain data consistency and protect
data integrity. Data consistency is the act on ensuring that similar data does not appear in
different tables or entries in the database. This is highly discouraged because inconsistency can
result into a lot of losses in terms of space and time. It can be confusing and especially when
updating the data which has multiple entries. A database should therefore be well designed to
ensure that all the data is well documented and all inconsistency has been eliminated in the tables.
Normalization is a process for evaluating and correcting tables to minimize the likelihood of data
anomalies. Basically, normalization can help ensure the proper data is entered into any particular
field by restricting what can be entered or stored in that particular field (Kroenke, 2006). The
essence of data normalization is to split your data into several tables that will be connected to each
other based on the data within them

Social Identity In Lord Of The Flies
Individuals have the basic need to belong and feel connected with the social world, which
stimulates friendship and peer group formation (Ellis Zarbatany, 2007). Social identity theory
suggests that our self identification is shaped by social context and based on our identification with
the group, rather than individual traits (Hornsey, 2008). Moreover, self categorization theory allows
us to construct group identification, give us social information to categorize in group and out group
members, and ensure group processing (Hornsey, 2008). As children approach to adolescent, the
relationship with peer group becomes the primary form of socialization; therefore, the interaction

Moreover, peer socialization contributes to central group status, values group identification, and
emphasizes on group acceptance (Ellis Zarbatany, 2007). Therefore, children are able to self select

very young age of life (Harris, 1995). On the other hand, children with different ages hold

young children define groups on the basis of common actives and social behavior, whereas older
adolescents emphasize on the role of social comparison, motivates to increase one s self esteem,
and maintain a positive self evaluation through group processing (Harris, 1995). Evidently, the boys
select their own social groups that fit them the most based on observable characteristics, interests,

groups based on their need for group distinction (Golding,

Religious Homosexual Oppression
Oppression based on race, sex and sexual orientation:
Over the past 150 years, there have been many groups who have sought the North American dream
of liberty and justice for all. Examples are:
В•Americans African seeking an end to slavery.
В•Women campaigning to get universal suffrage.
В•And now, gays and lesbians are seeking the same equal rights and protections enjoyed by other
groups, including the right to marry.
This final conflict over homosexuality is a little different from the two conflicts based on race and
gender. Being an African American or a woman was never considered a crime. But being a
sexually active person with a homosexual orientation was, theoretically, a crime in 13 states until
the middle of 2003. Being ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
1 They give far less emphasis to the findings of researchers. In this case, the findings of researchers
are generally rejected because they conflict with their interpretation of the Bible. Relying on their
interpretation of the Bible can be disastrous. Consider the debate over slavery in the mid 19th
century. In those days, some denominations enthusiastically quoted biblical passages to support the
owning of human slaves as pieces of property.
Liberals give far greater weight to the findings of scientific research, and are willing to abandon
the traditional interpretation of biblical passages in favor of new analyses which harmonize the
Bible and scientific discoveries. This also can be disastrous from time to time. Although science is
inherently self correcting, sometimes scientists develop theories which deviate wildly from reality,
are inaccurate, and cause harm. Always remember that one of the recipients of the Nobel Prize for
medicine was the physician who developed frontal lobotomies.
Typical conservative Protestant beliefs about homosexuality:
Conservative Christians generally believe that the Bible authors were inspired by God to write text
that is inerrant free of error. They often quote the Bible s seven passages often called clobber
passages which have traditionally been used to condemn homosexuality. They have generally
concluded that the Bible clearly and consistently condemns

My First Year Of Learning With The Open University
My first year of learning with the Open University has certainly challenged me. It has proven to
be a huge platform for my academic progress. From various essays and tutors feedback, I am
learning to develop both academic and personal skills as an independent learner. I have been
assigned tasks such as researching for essays using various types of material including books, the
internet and visual material and also reflecting on my learningexperience.
As this was my first exposure to distant learning, I did not know what to expect and now that I am
nearing the end, I feel a mixture of emotions. On one hand I feel a great sense of achievement, but
on the other, the feeling that I would like to have scored a little better in each of my assignments.
Unfortunately it has been a very difficult year for my family and I, but I feel that I have
progressed as a student in being able to overcome the obstacles, pull through and at least keep up
with the course. I refused to give up when times were tough and that determination to some
extent I feel reflected in my continuation on the course. As a result of this, I feel I have I am on
the way to developing skills of time management and organisation, which proved to be essential in
my circumstances and despite having to ask for an extension for TMA 03 and considering doing
so an other occasions, I completed all essays, which in itself is an achievement for me.
Before starting the course, I was a little unsure about essay writing. It was

What Is The Moral Of The Story By Bruno Bettelheim
Moral of the Story: Analyzation of Fairy Tales Fairy tales have been around and retold for
hundreds of years, ranging from enticing situations and imperative morals to teach and warn
people of all ages. Many have overlooked the underlying message of these beloved tales and
deem them to be farfetched, but these stories are critical to child development. On the Telling of
Fairy Stories written by Bruno Bettelheim, the strong belief presents the notion that verbally
exclaiming fairy tales leaves a lasting impact on adolescent minds well into adulthood. During
the early development stages, the telling of fairy tales educates children how to grasp the
meaning and the power of storytelling. Each narrator, as he told the story, dropped and added
elements to make it more meaningful whom he knew well... narrator let his unconscious
understanding of what the story told be influenced by that of a child (150). A narrator s purpose
is to carry and determine the story through their eyes, what they see is exactly what the reader
sees as readers do not know anything that the author does not know. Each narrator varies their
stylistic approach to the story at large, and the best ones tailor it to the audience it affects.
Especially regarding children, the story should be illustrated in a way where it is appealing to
them and comprehensive to their minds. In this way, concepts can be accepted and digested, but
also understood in their respective way. For example, the excerpt provided a

Fifty Incidents In The Life Of A Slave Girl
Slavery offered blacks an era of misfortune, giving them a time of fear, pain, and absolute control
from the hands of a slave owner. There are countless stories, each with their own ballad of
misery and, in some rare occasions, victory in the form of freedom, but it was not as common. In
Fifty Years in Chains, a narrative written by Charles Ball, Ball states that most could be sold for
a good price (Ball), showing how human life, such as himself, was auctioned off like an object,
rather than being treated like a living being. In Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl, by Harriet A.
Jacobs, Jacobs describes her sad epoch in the life of a slave girl (Jacobs) and paints a picture of
how her master, resorted to many means to accomplish his

Opposing Technique Essay
A pitching machine is a tool that, when used properly, can benefit a player enormously as well as
improve the quality and efficiency of baseball or softball hitting drills.
Whether refining a player s baseball or softball hitting technique or working on fielding practice, a
pitching machine can literally function as an extra coach. That having been said, most consumers
are quickly overwhelmed by all of the variations of baseball and softball pitching machines
available.
Questions of age appropriateness, features, the many different balls, etc are all important and need
to be addressed. First off, a baseball or softball pitching machine, when used for hitting practice
helps refine the swing, no matter the age of the player. However, the particular... Show more

The pitching machine you choose should be capable of speeds of at least 45mph+ from the
standard Little League distance of 45 ft. from the batter. Assuming that a realistic pitch can be
thrown at less speed from this distance is simply not true. Any slower speed would require lofting
the ball, thus producing an arch that would have you essentially back at a pitch similar to coach
pitch...and as such will be of no practical use.
Apart from batting practice, a pitching machine is can be an excellent practice tool for fielding
flies and grounders. It s like having an expert coach that never fouls a ball off or wiffs a toss and
thus practice is that much more valuable. If a player is very young, their hitting skills will improve
with time. But if they re having difficulty adjusting to the faster pitch, take it easy and stress the
fielding aspect of the machine.
Using a pitching machine at the highest speed, straight down the pipe every time is actually a bad
practice. It encourages an unrealistic atmosphere for what the batter will face in actual game
situations. It also encourages mindlessly swinging at every pitch. Better to practice and to use the
targeting aspect of the machine to work on the inside and outside corners, to train the batter to
think at the plate in terms of game situations, e.g. a runner on second doesn t need to have the ball
hit in front of him or her, therefore the batter should be looking for an outside pitch to take to the
opposite field, hitting behind the runner and so

Anemia Decreases the Number of Red Blood Cells Essay
Anemia is a blood condition with decreasing number of red blood cells (RBC) or less than normal
levels of hemoglobin (an essential protein that carries oxygen to your tissues and organs) in the
blood. Anemia usually occurs when individual does not have enough red blood cells the cells that
transport hemoglobin(Hb) throughout your body. [4]
Iron deficiency anemia is a common form of anemia that occurs if person does not have sufficient
iron in body. Without enough iron your body starts using the iron it has stored. Soon, the stored
iron gets used. After the stored iron is used, your body makes fewer red blood cells. The red blood
cells it does make have less hemoglobin than normal. [4]
Iron deficiency anemia can cause fatigue, chest pain, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Anemia is a common comorbidity in HF is associated with increased disease severity and also
contributes to a worse outcome. The mechanism through which anemia contributes to negative
outcome in chronic HF patients is multifactorial and complex. Important factors include, bone
marrow resistance to erythropoietin, renal failure, chronic inflammation, medication use and
hematinic deficiencies, in particular iron deficiency (ID). Generally, the presence of ID is only
considered clinically relevant in the presence of anemia. However, a decreased hemoglobin
levels can be viewed as the end result of a process beginning with gradual depletion of iron stores.
Even if patients are not anemic, ID already may be common in chronic HF, with or without
anemia, is associated with decreased aerobic performance and exercise intolerance, recently also
shown in chronic HF. [5]
Anemia is an independent factor in mortality in people with chronic heart failure. Anemia, or a
low level of hemoglobin in the blood, is much linked to heart disease because the heart has to
work harder to pump more blood and oxygen through the body [4]. Iron deficiency in heart failure
can be due to a number of factors, it may be caused by a lack of nutrients in a person s diet or by
the body s inability to absorb nutrients from food. Heart failure can also cause a back up of fluid
(edema). This edema produces a higher volume of blood plasma (the liquid part of blood), which
can dilute red

Epic in A Piligrim s Progress by John Bunyan and Heart of...
What is an epic? What does a piece of literature need in order to be considered an epic? An epic is a
journey that the protagonist takes in order to find who they are themselves. A Pilgrim s Progress
by John Bunyan and Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad are two pieces of literature in which this
appears. However, A Pilgrim s Progress: Part One is more of a dream journey while Heart of
Darknessis an actual physical journey. Both of these novels however follow the standard pattern of
an epic in how they are both journey s in which the person comes to an understanding of
themselves which sometimes and sometimes does not end up saving him. A Pilgrim s Progress:
Part One is a novelthat follows the structure of an epic in many different ways. For one, as even
stated in the novel, Christian s journey is a dream journey. Another way is how at the beginning
of the novel the protagonist Christian has a large burden on his back that he can not take off.
This burden causes him to have the conviction that he has many sins and is therefore in need of
saving so he goes on a pilgrimage in order to be saved. This follows the epic structure of being a
young, naive man who goes on a journey in order to obtain an understanding of himself.
Throughout Christian s journey he faces many challenges but also is helped by various people too.
Another part of the epic structure is the young man s journey through the underworld or hell. This
is shown in A Pilgrim s Progress through Christian s

U.s. Federal Aid Programs
In recent years, the federal aid system has tripled in numbers in over 25 years. Some federal aid
programs can range from a giant billion to a more obscure prams such as $15 million. In the
beginning, federal aid programs would require other states to match the federal funds on a dollar
for dollar basis. There was initial struggle when the federal aid system began to expand many
believe that it would be difficult to opt out of new federal aid programs. Thus, it left residents with
requirement to continue to pay federal taxes in order to support the federal aid spending.
The Florida Department of Children and Families provides services and assistance to a group or to
an individual who may need income, and resources for their families. The Temporary Cash
Assistance program is contingent on determining eligibility for temporary assistance. Yet, due to
the federal and state restrictions does not count such as ineligible noncitizens or suctioned
individuals. It is a Florida law and requirement that state agencies offer detailed budget
recommendations.
The state of Florida has been limited to amount of spending to about $140 million of federal cash.
For example, the federal cash would be reimbursed yearly towards the cost of foster care and
residential group housing. The funds will increase by 3 percent a year and can assist and fund
parenting classes to tutoring for children in care. Therefore, with a five year pilot program, the
funds would be available

Essay On City Council Meeting
The process of the City Council meeting was very interesting and long. There were many things
that I learned in this meeting because it was the first meeting that I have been to for the city.
Everything was planned and very organized in the meeting and they go down a schedule or list
of what they will do first. The Mayor of the city of Bakersfield is the one to begin the meeting,
but he was absent the day that I went so Vice Mayor Harold Hanson took his spot. He mentioned
how the Mayor had not missed a meeting in such a long time that he can not even remember the
last time he got to take his place. Hearing what the Vice Mayor said about the Mayor showed the
residents of Bakersfield and I how important and how serious the Mayor takes his job. It showed
that the Mayor really cares for the people of Bakersfield even though many disagree with me.
Vice Mayor Harold Hanson begins with an introduction the meeting by welcoming everyone and
announcing that Mayor Hall is going to be absent. There was not a lot of people like I was
expecting, but it was still very interesting to hear all of the residents concerns and opinions. After

they cast votes. They also ask questions about the propositions, do considerations, ask for time,

informational because I learned so many things on what is going on in our community. I also
learned what is being done and I could see that most of the city council members have the best

Victorian Women s Role During The Victorian House
During the Victorian period, women had a very specific role to play in society. They had very
little influence on the public sphere, only men were to deal with business and political issues.
Women were restrained to the private sphere, and were supposed to take care of the house, and of
their beloved. The phrase the angel in the house was used to describe their duty. Obviously, this
applies to women of a certain rank, mostly those belonging to the middle class. Working class
women soon had to leave home and work in order to help feed their family. The novel genre was
only emerging at the time, and thus many women characters started to be portrayed by many
different authors, many of which described them as much more complex than the vision... Show

Women at that time were supposed to take good care of their family and of their house. They
had to be good, gentle, caring and motherly. Margaret does behave in that way, she takes care of
her parents when they all come to live in Milton in the way that every daughter is supposed to.
However, she does not only look after them, but she actually takes care of almost everything
regarding their lives. In a sense, she acts like her father should, but he is somehow too weak to do
so. For instance, Margaret is the one organising the moving from Helstone to Milton in the very
beginning of the novel after her father asked her to: Do what you think best. (p. 56). This could
appear as quite a burdensome responsibility for a young woman like Margaret, and many other
women of her age would not have been able to do it. This is even more evident thereafter in the
story. Right after her mother has passed away, Margaret does not have time to mourn, for she
must already arrange the funeral and take care of her brother and father: The father and brother
depended upon her; while they were giving way to grief, she must be working, planning,
considering. (p. 302). Once again, this should be her father s role, and yet, Margaret is carrying
the burden of taking care of everything. This idea that Margaret takes care of everything instead
of her father is even more striking when we put her in contrast with another young girl of her age,
her cousin Edith who epitomises the ideal Victorian lady. Margaret and Edith grew up together,
yet their lives completely differ when Edith gets married to Captain Lennox. While Margaret is a
confident, nearly self sufficient woman who must take care of everything, Edith, once she gets
married, appears as a passive shallow young girl, relying on her husband and on her

Thesis On Attendance Checking System
Attendance checking system is a system for checking attendance of students at the University of
Sulaimaniyah. This system is an improvement of the previous attendance checking system where it
uses the implementation of the QR code system.
The following outlines how the previous system works:
1)A teacher reads the names of students from a list.
2)If there is any absentees list, the teacher will record the students by putting an A behind their
names. A is indicate Absent .
3)After checking the attendance list, the teacher enters each absent student s name on a small paper
form.
4)The attendance form is then passed to the system manager. The primary role of the system

The old version of attendance checking system of University of Sulaimaniyah is completely in
manual process. All the student information is totally filled and checked by teacher and system
manager. Although the system is work step by step, it still has a few problems that interrupt the
performance of the attendance checking system. The problems are:
The process is performed very slowly.
The mistakes in absentee rate might be occurred as the paper form can be lost.
In some cases, some teachers have problem of writing the student s name correctly. This is mean
wrong spelling or bad handwriting which leads to difficulty for the system manager to enter the data.
The form is sometimes incomplete where some fields cannot be completed such as date, subject
name, teacher name and section.
The system manager may make mistakes when calculating the absentee rate for each student.
However, the calculation process is quite involved because there is a significant amount of addition,
division and multiplication.
Students may not see the notice board that announces the attendance warnings.
The paper form may not have enough space to record all absent students

  • 2. Twelfth Night Madness Madness and foolishness make many appearances in Twelfth Night. Feste, the jester in count Olivia s house states in act 3 scene 1, foolery, sir, does walk about the ord like the sun; it shines everywhere. The first appearance of madness in the play is when Orsino, the Duke of Illyria, is reciting a poem about love. Orsino, instead of showing madness as insanity or a mental illness he shows it as mad with love. Some have made inferences that the images Orsino creates with the poem is him hallucinating. Orsino in scene 1 act 1 recites, If music be the food of love, play on; Give me excess of it, that, surfeiting, The appetite may sicken, and so die. • 3. The Lottery By Robert Frost Analysis Mortality is at the forefront of the poems To and Athlete Dying Young, Design, My Papa s Waltz, and the short story The Lottery. However, each of these works of art differ on the connotation of death but all convey their own unique views in the same narrative way. All of the poems have the same point of view in which their stories are told in but the short story, The Lottery, stands alone as a story that is not told in the first person. The title of each work holds no deeper meaning than a description of what is to follow with the exception of Design. Finally, each author structured their own work in some ways that are similar to one and another, for example, the use of such devices as rhyme schemes can be found in all three of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Just like the other two poems listed above, this is a personal narrative in which Robert recalls watching a white moth landing on a white flower and being eaten by a white spider. Frost refers to the moths wings as a white piece of rigid satin cloth referring to the white satin that is lined in a casket. Robert refers to the spider, flower and moth as characters of death and blight like characters on a keyboard, which raises the question of whether or not the moth landing on the white flower that was secretly holding his predator was simply coincidence or fate. He compared the wings of the moth to the wings of a kite in which both are blown around by the wind and questions what force is behind the questioned if the moth was steered by this force. The title, Design, differs from all three of the other narratives in that it holds greater meaning than just a description of a story that follows. The word design in this case has a double meaning. Robert Frost cleverly titled his poem to make you think much more deeply and question why things happen the way they do. The title refers to a much deeper philosophy in which there is an argument for the existence of some higher being (a God) who is actually controlling everything, including the death of the moth. The structure of this poem is fourteen lines of iambic pentameter that consists of a short (or unstressed) syllable followed by a long (or stressed syllable). Being fourteen lines of iambic pentameter, this poem is a sonnet, specifically, a sonnet of the Italian (Petrarchan) model that consists of two stanzas. The first stanza is an eight line octave and the second stanza is a six line sestet (the last six lines of a sonnet). There was no clear rhyme scheme (ABBAABBA ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. The Themes In Harrison Bergeron, By Kurt Vonnegut Harrison Bergeron is a young adult short story by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr whose theme is a dystopian story. It is told that in 2081, people are equal, to be prГ©cised must equal. People who are beyond normal are forced to hide their ability in order to become equal. People who go against the rules will be punished or even killed just like Harrison who declared himself as the Emperor as he rebelled to the Handicapper General. In the story, it can be found that the General takes the control of the society in order to make everything balance. Everything should be the same, no less, no more and everyone should agree with that. The mainstream holds the voice. They are the one who decide what is right and vice versa. Harrison s father, George, is punished by the General by putting a handicap radio in his ear so that the government can easily distract him whenever he thinks about things too much. The beautiful ballerinas are wearing mask since they are not allowed to show their attractive faces. Becoming different only leads people to the isolation. Moreover, in an extreme context, they can be prisoned just like the General did to Harrison. Harrison is described as an almost perfect child. He has a handsome face, athletic body, and has higher intelligence than most people in the country. Realizing that Harrison will only become a threat to the equality of society, the Handicapper General soon prisons him when he was only fourteen. • 7. An Argument Essay on the Use of Cell Phones in Public Places Technological advances during the last fifty years of human history have given billions of people instant access to unprecedented communication methods. Individuals are no longer limited to letter writing and sending telegrams to convey a verbal message. E mails, text messaging, video chat, instant messenger, and various social media outlets are all platforms for human communication in the modern world. One of the most significant communication devices to surface from the technological serge is the cellular telephone. Every individual with a cell phone has the ability to call any person, place, or agency at anytime as long as the individual is within the service provider s coverage area. The prevalence of cell phone owners has increased the use of cell phones in public places, such as schools, restaurants, and theaters, and their use in public is associated with both positive and negative implications. Some argue cell phones should be banned from public places because they are a social distraction, inhibit the user from being able to focus properly, and can cause safety concerns by interfering with airplanes and hospital equipment. Despite the negative impacts associated with cell phone use in public places, cell phones must be allowed in public for safety reasons, emergency scenarios, and to support the individual s right to personal freedom. The whole idea of marijuana plays a small part in our lives whether we want it to or not, whether we support it or not. With a wide variety in cannabis strains, the side effects of each strain differ from one another based on many different factors. Attempting to pin point how each strain effects an individual is more complicated then it appears. With cannabis being a very historic herb, the plant in itself as evolved substantially over time and with advances in today s technology growers have the ability to cross bread plants creating new strain or even create synthetic versions of cannabis. Since it is rather difficult to pin point the side effects that every strain can produce most of these strains all share some similar effects as a whole. Physically marijuana can affect your respiratory system causing respiratory system to become irritated or if ingested can cause nausea and liver complications that can scar liver tissue. At the same time studies have shown that cannabis can have slight effects on the immune system, weakening the immune system. Marijuana has also been known to speed up the heart rate which can pose a huge problem with individuals with heart conditions. • 9. Compare And Contrast Rosemary s Baby And The Omen Heit argues that both films deliberately work against the concept of free will as they perpetuated the prevalent conceit of the sixties that control over one s fate no longer existed, that choice was an illusion; and that, at any time, for reasons beyond one s comprehension, the devil could destroy one s life . The protagonist in Rosemary s Baby is left to deal with the knowledge of being raped by the devil, who has chosen her to be the mother of his child. Meanwhile in The Omen , Damien does not get to choose or participate in the act of free will as his fate had already been chosen prior to his birth, having been made the Antichrist by the devil. He is to protect the legacy he has been handed with, no matter who or what may come his way.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Their portrayal of evil is comparative, and the idea of the other being influenced by the thought that fault is regularly pushed elsewhere is outstandingly common in both films. On the other hand, their executions are diverse as far as style. As specified in this essay, Polanski concentrates more on a persuading story that stays within certain components to create a practical setting around surrealism. The circumstance in Rosemary s Baby is ironic on the grounds that babies are one of the main things in this world that we consider totally guiltless, and it s difficult to choose whether Rosemary s infant is pure or not, yet, it has done nothing to strip itself of its honesty. Donner heavily focuses his attention to detail regarding The Omen and its aesthetics; how the camerawork is setup to exemplify the mood of death, presented in such ways that it symbolises the power of the devil. Yet, when looking at the insidiousness that is of the two devilish youngsters, the observers are acquainted with Donner s depiction of Damien is much more horrific in the sense that the child actually kills people while under the control of Satan, whereas Polanski leaves the spectator assuming that Rosemary may have found happiness in the end through the tribulations of ... Channing Tatum is back and hotter than ever in his return to the stage for a stripper reunion in Myrtle Beach, SC. And while, I am never a big fan of sequels I have to say that at least this one, simply creates its own story with very few references to the first movie, which is nice, especially for those who never saw Magic Mike the original. • 11. Why Is The Rights Of The Accused Is Proven Accused Name Instructor Name Class Date History of the Rights of the Accused and the Warren Court One of the most well known epithets in the United States is innocent until proven guilty. This means that until a prosecution has proven beyond a reasonable doubt that a person accused of a crime has indeed committed that crime, he or she is to be presumed innocent of all charges. In theory, this idea upholds the sense of democracy and fair trial upon which the country was founded. In practice, however, it is less so. Oftentimes, an accusation or a criminal charge defines the person accused, as he or she is already presumed guilty in the court of public opinion. Especially in the cases of high profile trials, most people accept that the person ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One of these rights is The Writ of Habeas Corpus, which means that a person cannot be held or detained for an unreasonable amount of time without having been charged with a crime. This prevents the government and law officials from imprisoning citizens without cause. Today, a large number of criminal conviction appeals are raised under the habeas corpus privilege, [wherein] individuals ... convicted of crimes ... may demand that the government justify his or her physical confinement (ThisNation). In other words, even if a person has been convicted of a crime, if it is found that his or her right to habeas corpus has been violated, it can nullify the conviction. Another right that is guaranteed to the accused is the right to a trial by jury. Article III of the Constitution guarantees that those who are accused of crimes have the right to have their guilt or innocence determined by a panel of fellow citizens (ThisNation). A person cannot be convicted of a crime without receiving a fair trial, during which the prosecution must present its proof that the accused is guilty. If there is not enough proof to determine that the accused person did commit the crime, then the jury cannot convict, and the accused is free to go. As dawn approached with a faint hint of turquoise along the horizon in front of us and we finally sighted Peshawar the border village in Pakistan in the distance, my thoughts were not of the next step in our journey, but of the steps already behind us. I knew nothing of war, politics, or Communism. All I could grasp was that I was leaving the only home I had known for the first three and a half years of my life for an unknown, an abstraction, a void that held neither the warmth nor the familiarity of my home in the suburbs outside Kabul. The garden he creates, Eden, is made specifically for Adam with the tree of life as well as the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. God tells Adam that he may eat of any tree in the garden apart from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. This gives Adam a choice to continue being in union with God, or to oust himself from God s presence by disobeying God and eating the fruit. God then makes Eve to be a companion of man, named by Adam, therefore imposing his dominion over her. When Eve gives Adam the Fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, he is accepting the removal of the garden, not deliberately but because of his inability to resist the temptation. The return to chaos follows the expulsion from the garden; for you out of it [dust] you were taken; and to dust you shall return. The current cost system allocates overhead costs once a year, as a function of direct labor dollars. This allocation strategy results in: Inaccurate allocation due to products at various levels of automation No incentive to reduce the cost of materials A situation where a reduction in production will result in less overhead allocated to the respective product Lack of incentive for employees to continually reduce their costs throughout the year as a result of the annual calculation of overhead allocation. Assuming that the company s goal is to maximize profits, the current cost system is not an appropriate tool for strategic planning. The ambiguity of the overhead costs per product makes it difficult to accurately analyze the cause and effect relationships of changes and/or improvements to specific product line. If the cost system reported sales volume and/or price we would be able to conduct an activity analysis to determine an appropriate cost function to determine the best cost driver for each product. 4. Manifold Recommendation Based on Current Cost System If we assume that the 1991 products, prices, sales volumes, materials costs and overhead are unchanged from 1990 and that there are no process improvements that would lead to a reduction in the direct labor of a product, it can be inferred that the company s profits would be identical to those of 1990, as stated in Appendix B. However, if the same is assumed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In question two you asked what are the characteristics of a hero in these stories and I feel like I didn t actually use the reading to support how I felt when answering the question. I think that adventurous, strong and brave are characteristics of a hero in these stories. In each story there is a fight for what an individual wants or needs and nothing stops them. Rapunzel wants her prince and the enchantress sends her to a dessert with her twins alone and while blind the prince finds his family and they live happily ever after. In Rumpelstilzchen the young girl said she would promise this little man her first born if she became queen and when the time came she had three day to think of his name and with many days help from messenger she got his name and was able to keep her first born. These two stories alone show the adventure, bravery and strength of never giving up and getting what they want no matter what. These are characteristics in each story just told differently. 2. The primary service provided by cryptography is capability to send information between two participants in an effective way that halts others from reading it. This type of cryptography provides other services namely, integrity checking→ reassuring the recipient regarding a new message in which the message doesn t seem to be altered viewing that it was actually given by a legal source. Authentication →verifying someone s (or something s) identity. Messages within its original form is named plain text or clear text. The hidden info is generally known as cipher text. The procedure for producing cipher text from plain text is named encryption. The reverse of encryption is known as decryption. While cryptographers invent clever secret codes, crypt analysts plan to break these codes. Both these disciplines constantly make sure to keep in advance of one another. Ultimately, the successes of the cryptographers rests on the cryptography systems are likely to involve both an algorithm as well as a secret value. Here the secret value is called as key. The Debate Over Abortion Essay With the ongoing debate and the advancement of technology in determining the viability of a fetus, abortion, the ending of a pregnancy by removing a fertilized egg, has become increasingly controversial. The morality of abortion has caused many to separate into opposite sides of the spectrum, pro life and pro choice. The arguments over abortion has stirred a continuous debate between a pro choice stance such as that presented by the analogical reasoning of Thomson or Glover s examination of social context and a pro life position argued by a moral view of personhood by Noonan. The ethical arguments presented by the conflicting views in the abortion debate has caused others to taken into consideration a sociological account visible in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Thomson concludes that it does not matter whether or not a fetus is a person because even if a fetus is granted a right to life, it is not accurate to assume that abortion is murder (2, Thomson, CC p.192). Murder is an intentional act that is unjustified while abortion is not direct killing but results in the death of the fetus. For instance, in cases involving rape or other conditions of unintended pregnancies, a woman undergoing abortion is not necessarily committing murder since she was not responsible for an unwanted pregnancy. Therefore, in no case should the personhood of the fetus determine the morality of abortion. Thomson suggests that having a right to life does not grant the right to use another person s body (3, Thomson, CC p.191). In other words, the fetus s right to life does not apply to any moral obligation of the mother s body. Abortion is justifiable because there is no obligation on part of the women for an unwanted pregnancy. In the case of the sick violinist, the kidnapped person is not morally obligated to make sacrifices and save the life of the violinist. Since the violinist has no right to use another person s body, it would not be considered murder or a violation of the violinist s rights if the kidnapped person was to refuse and pull the plug. The Mayas, Aztecs, and Incas not only shared many similarities in the ways they built their civilizations, but also had differing characteristics that made each people its own. Civilization in the Americas originated as early as 7000 B.C. as a result of a land bridge between Asia and the Americas, formed when the Bering Strait connecting current day Russia with Alaska united the two continents during the Ice Age. On the positive side, more than 30% of total land area in New Zealand has been set aside for as National Parks (DOC, n.d.) and various reserved land and is run by the Department of Conservation. Single species recovery programmes have been successful with the use of eradication of offshore islands pests to for reintroduction of threatened onshore species such as the Kakapo on Cod fish island. Brief history of land conservation in New Zealand till 1969 New Zealand is a special place as it was the last major land form to be settled as it is separated by large oceans so was largely unknown. Before the first settlers arrived, the country had been isolated for some 85 million years with the result of different plant life, large and flightless birds as well as no ground living mammals ( Conservation a history , n.d.). A Database For A Relational System Database Normalization Srikanth Karra Instructor: Dr. Steven Case Southern New Hampshire University When we design a database for a relational system, the main objective in the development of a logical data model is to create an accurate representation of the data its relationship and constraints. The data should be split in different tables, which can then be joined together based on their relations with each other and the data found in each one of them. These tables should therefore be designed well to save on space and ensure that cases on data inconsistency are eliminated. Another aspect, which will be saved on, is space that is occupied by repetitive data. Normalization is the process that is used to remove redundancy... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is highly recommended by practitioners that all databases be designed to at most the third normal form as there s little or no benefit designing to the higher normal forms. The type of activity or transactions to be performed against the database should determine how normalized this database will be to achieve the performance benefits. Importance of having a normalized database There are many advantages to normalizing databases. The first being the ability to minimize modification anomalies by reducing redundancy, maintain data consistency and protect data integrity. Data consistency is the act on ensuring that similar data does not appear in different tables or entries in the database. This is highly discouraged because inconsistency can result into a lot of losses in terms of space and time. It can be confusing and especially when updating the data which has multiple entries. A database should therefore be well designed to ensure that all the data is well documented and all inconsistency has been eliminated in the tables. Normalization is a process for evaluating and correcting tables to minimize the likelihood of data anomalies. Basically, normalization can help ensure the proper data is entered into any particular field by restricting what can be entered or stored in that particular field (Kroenke, 2006). The essence of data normalization is to split your data into several tables that will be connected to each other based on the data within them ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In this case, the findings of researchers are generally rejected because they conflict with their interpretation of the Bible. Relying on their interpretation of the Bible can be disastrous. Consider the debate over slavery in the mid 19th century. In those days, some denominations enthusiastically quoted biblical passages to support the owning of human slaves as pieces of property. Liberals give far greater weight to the findings of scientific research, and are willing to abandon the traditional interpretation of biblical passages in favor of new analyses which harmonize the Bible and scientific discoveries. What Is The Moral Of The Story By Bruno Bettelheim Moral of the Story: Analyzation of Fairy Tales Fairy tales have been around and retold for hundreds of years, ranging from enticing situations and imperative morals to teach and warn people of all ages. Many have overlooked the underlying message of these beloved tales and deem them to be farfetched, but these stories are critical to child development. On the Telling of Fairy Stories written by Bruno Bettelheim, the strong belief presents the notion that verbally exclaiming fairy tales leaves a lasting impact on adolescent minds well into adulthood. During the early development stages, the telling of fairy tales educates children how to grasp the meaning and the power of storytelling. Whether refining a player s baseball or softball hitting technique or working on fielding practice, a pitching machine can literally function as an extra coach. That having been said, most consumers are quickly overwhelmed by all of the variations of baseball and softball pitching machines available. Questions of age appropriateness, features, the many different balls, etc are all important and need to be addressed. First off, a baseball or softball pitching machine, when used for hitting practice helps refine the swing, no matter the age of the player. However, the particular... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The pitching machine you choose should be capable of speeds of at least 45mph+ from the standard Little League distance of 45 ft. from the batter. Assuming that a realistic pitch can be thrown at less speed from this distance is simply not true. Any slower speed would require lofting the ball, thus producing an arch that would have you essentially back at a pitch similar to coach pitch...and as such will be of no practical use. Apart from batting practice, a pitching machine is can be an excellent practice tool for fielding flies and grounders. It s like having an expert coach that never fouls a ball off or wiffs a toss and thus practice is that much more valuable. If a player is very young, their hitting skills will improve with time. But if they re having difficulty adjusting to the faster pitch, take it easy and stress the fielding aspect of the machine. Using a pitching machine at the highest speed, straight down the pipe every time is actually a bad practice. It encourages an unrealistic atmosphere for what the batter will face in actual game situations. It also encourages mindlessly swinging at every pitch. Better to practice and to use the targeting aspect of the machine to work on the inside and outside corners, to train the batter to think at the plate in terms of game situations, e.g. a runner on second doesn t need to have the ball hit in front of him or her, therefore the batter should be looking for an outside pitch to take to the opposite field, hitting behind the runner and so ... • 49. Epic in A Piligrim s Progress by John Bunyan and Heart of... What is an epic? What does a piece of literature need in order to be considered an epic? An epic is a journey that the protagonist takes in order to find who they are themselves. A Pilgrim s Progress by John Bunyan and Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad are two pieces of literature in which this appears. However, A Pilgrim s Progress: Part One is more of a dream journey while Heart of Darknessis an actual physical journey. Both of these novels however follow the standard pattern of an epic in how they are both journey s in which the person comes to an understanding of themselves which sometimes and sometimes does not end up saving him. A Pilgrim s Progress: Part One is a novelthat follows the structure of an epic in many different ways. For one, as even stated in the novel, Christian s journey is a dream journey. Another way is how at the beginning of the novel the protagonist Christian has a large burden on his back that he can not take off. This burden causes him to have the conviction that he has many sins and is therefore in need of saving so he goes on a pilgrimage in order to be saved. This follows the epic structure of being a young, naive man who goes on a journey in order to obtain an understanding of himself. Throughout Christian s journey he faces many challenges but also is helped by various people too. Another part of the epic structure is the young man s journey through the underworld or hell. • 52. Victorian Women s Role During The Victorian House During the Victorian period, women had a very specific role to play in society. They had very little influence on the public sphere, only men were to deal with business and political issues. Women were restrained to the private sphere, and were supposed to take care of the house, and of their beloved. The phrase the angel in the house was used to describe their duty. Obviously, this applies to women of a certain rank, mostly those belonging to the middle class. Working class women soon had to leave home and work in order to help feed their family. The novel genre was only emerging at the time, and thus many women characters started to be portrayed by many different authors, many of which described them as much more complex than the vision... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Women at that time were supposed to take good care of their family and of their house. They had to be good, gentle, caring and motherly. Margaret does behave in that way, she takes care of her parents when they all come to live in Milton in the way that every daughter is supposed to. However, she does not only look after them, but she actually takes care of almost everything regarding their lives. In a sense, she acts like her father should, but he is somehow too weak to do so. For instance, Margaret is the one organising the moving from Helstone to Milton in the very beginning of the novel after her father asked her to: Do what you think best. (p. 56). This could appear as quite a burdensome responsibility for a young woman like Margaret, and many other women of her age would not have been able to do it. This is even more evident thereafter in the story. Right after her mother has passed away, Margaret does not have time to mourn, for she must already arrange the funeral and take care of her brother and father: The father and brother depended upon her; while they were giving way to grief, she must be working, planning, considering. (p. 302). Once again, this should be her father s role, and yet, Margaret is carrying the burden of taking care of everything. This idea that Margaret takes care of everything instead of her father is even more striking when we put her in contrast with another young girl of her age, her cousin Edith who epitomises the ideal Victorian lady. Margaret and Edith grew up together, yet their lives completely differ when Edith gets married to Captain Lennox. While Margaret is a confident, nearly self sufficient woman who must take care of everything, Edith, once she gets married, appears as a passive shallow young girl, relying on her husband and on her ...
