Finding Proof of Freshwater on Mars
Freshwater on Mars Finding proof of potential life on other planets seems way out of reach but
is has been attempted for the last couple years. In fact, new discoveries made by NASAs
Curiosity Rover and its team was brought out very recently. In the news there was an article,
NASA Curiosity Rover Discovers Evidence of Freshwater MarsLake , about the roverthat may have
found evidence of an ancient lake. Through these discoveries scientists of NASAhave made a
hypothesis that Mars was in fact Earth like, not just the desert that we know it as today. They
believe that Mars had many swimming holes that were part of a wet environment that could
potentially have supported living life. These life forms could live on Mars because of the
environment that was once similar to earth s. One of the major craters that they were looking at
which supported this idea was called the Gale Crater. This specific crater is known to have rocks
that were around 4.2 billion years old, and said to be from a running water lake. This idea has
just been developed from a long lasting idea that Mars did have some water but its quality was
like battery acid. Many times before, NASA has sent rovers to Mars to search for life. They have
not only sent Curiosity but also Spirit and Opportunity. The one that found all of this information,
Curiosity, had the job of sampling rocks by drilling holes in them. This rover took off from earth in
the summer of 2012 and gathered the major information in October

Racial Inequality In The NFL
For many, speaking up for what you believe in can be difficult and risky, but ultimately worth the
risk. Colin Kaepernick took this risk, by kneeling during the national anthem to stand up against
police brutality and the inequality that people of color (NFL). With many unjust shootings and
police beatings of African Americans, Kaepernick s teammate Eric Reid couldn t stand the
violence anymore after the killing of Alton Sterling in my hometown Baton Rouge, La (Reid).
Reid joined Kaepernick in taking a knee during the national anthem, in doing this Kaepernick and
Reid inspired other players to raise awareness and help those in need. This decision caused huge
impacts on the nation, the NFL, and the youth who look up to the players of the NFL. Racial
inequality will always be a huge topic in the United Statesof America, and continues today to still
be a huge topic. With the NFL players raising awareness by kneelingand locking arms together
during the national anthem, the topic of racial inequality has gained more interest. After
Kaepernick in 2016 first kneeled many other athletes and stars joined the movement to talk about
the problems of racial inequality. People like Ellen DeGeneres, Zendaya, George Lopez, and
many others voice their support for the players (JustJared). This new NFL season has caused more
controversy with a new president that is invoking many people, Trump took a shot at the players
protesting stating Wouldn t you love to see one of these NFL owners,

The author talks about today s world events, from the political and economic standpoints. He
states that soccer is the globalized medium that seems to lend itself to the effect that is has on
the society as a whole. In the first point Foer tries to explain How soccer explains the gangster
paradise . In this chapter, on example Red Star Belgrade, he s explains how work the soccer gangs.

is nothing going on and try not to attract attention to them. The fans of Barcelona on the other
hand, think they are better than everyone else and try to bring up the past and resentment that is
not there. It has to do with the position there are in and what they have been taught and how they
have been seen. But this is all better said in the words by Foer, You could love your country even

The Effects Of Previous Statements Of The Halitosis And...
Is there any better way to define and classify halitosis? HUANG,WEI TE Introduction Although
halitosis is a generally recognised social problem, there is no consensus on the definition and
classification of it(1).This embarrassment leads to psychologic stress with repulsive impression
and hinders a pleasant communication ,which are the situations that most people struggle to avoid.
The genesis of malodour may stem from oral cavity itself or from extraoral sources(2), and the
managements varies with the causative factors. If the problem is bad oral hygiene, the treatment
will be oral hygiene instruction or periodontal treatment. When system disease is the cause, the
dentist may refer to physician for further control. Moreover, some organic function insufficiencies
may be noticed, if they are the origins. Since there are different sources of halitosis that lead to
different managements (3), finding a way to define and classify the ailment properly and clearly
to provide a suitable guideline for the diagnosis is a necessity. In this article, we discuss several
defects of previous statements of the halitosis and the new definition with classification which was
published by M. Aydin and C. N. Harvey lately in July 2014 to analyze whether they put forward a
better method. Etiology Amongst most patients with persistent

Suge Being Responsible for Tupac s Death and is Tupac Really Dead
The world has always been filled with certain unknowns and conspiracies that keep people
debating between whether or not these unknowns are fact or fiction. History has proved that there
are several occurrences that have sprouted questions within the mind. Did we really land on the
moon in 1969? Did an alien spacecraft crash in New Mexico? What is going on at Area 51? There
is one conspiracy that continually demands answers, especially amongst teenagers. It revolves
around a man that affects most teenagers directly because of his influence through his music. The
controversy in question is whether or not Tupac Amaru Shakur truly died from a shooting. Tupac

He is six feet three inches and 335 pounds and Tupac was five feet nine inches and closer to 150
pounds, how come he was only Grazed by one bullet? Could Suge have been apart of it? Could he
have set Tupac up? Suge is the executive producer of Death Row Records. With Tupac dead, the
profits go to him. Is that reason enough for Suge to have Tupac shot? The suspicions behind
Suge s involvement are not the only things that seem bizarre. The entire situation during the
night of Tupac s shooting seemed odd. There were a couple cars filled with Tupac s entourage
directly behind the car that Tupac was riding in. The entourage was a group of Tupac s friends.
One would assume that they were friends that would be willing to protect Tupac, especially,
Tupac s bodyguard. So when the shooter in the white Cadillac finished shooting at Tupac, it is
particularly speculative that no one sought to figure out who the murderer was shortly after the
incident. The murder took place in Las Vegas, which is adjacent to a huge desert. Why was it so
easy for the assailants to get away? There was only one witness to the shooting. His name was
Yafeu Fula and he was found shot to death on November 10th in a hallway of an apartment
building in East Orange, NJ. First, it is not likely that there would only be one witness to a drive
by shooting in one of the busiest cities in the world, especially after a Mike Tysonfight that tens of
thousands of people attended. One would think

Coat Of Arms In Nursing
A coat of arms is used as a representative emblem. It could be placed on a shield or a flag and it
usually would look something like a crest. Typically, a coat of arms would be used to represent a
family, person, or country. For example, the Canadian coat of arms is used to represent Canada
and the qualities that the country values most. But it could also be used to represent a company,
school or profession. For example, most universities and colleges have a coat of armsto represent
the school and its values. This paper will discuss a coat of arms for the nursing profession and why
the qualities being represented are important. Although there are many important qualities that are

Advocacy in nursing is the promotion and vocalization of the patient s voice; this is being
represented on the coat of arms with a megaphone. We had picked a megaphone because just as a
megaphone amplifies the speakers voice, the nurse amplifies the patient s voice when dealing with
other in the healthcare team (i.e. other nurses, and physicians). The 2nd quality was
communication. Communication in nursing is done with the patient, their family, or the healthcare
team and can come in a verbal or written forms. This is being represented on the coat of arms as
an emoji writing. The 3rd quality that was chosen was caring. Caring in nursing is important it
requires you to look after people who cannot look after themselves; it is represented on the coat of
arms as two hands. The 4th quality is trustworthiness. Trustworthiness in nursing is important
because it helps ensure the patient that what is being said will remain confidential and that their
privacy will be respected; t also helps build the nurse client relationship. It is represented on the coat
of arms by a lock and key. The 5th quality that was chosen was assertiveness. Being assertive in
nursing important because it allows the nurse to clearly and confidently communicate with the

COMPANY BACKGROUND
Hubbard Foods Ltd started up in mid 1988 and a private limited company. The company was
originally named Winner Foods Ltd and only 4 employees at that moment, now currently has staff
about 150.
In 1990, DickВЎВ¦s decision was made to introduce the Hubbard brand as the main brand for
breakfast cereal products. The companyВЎВ¦s products set the price at both the high price range
and low end of the cereal market.
HubbardВЎВ¦s has consistently built a culture around caring for others, creating employment and

In fact, it doesnВЎВ¦t have enough power to do the acquisition. Licensing is one of the good way
also because it is both low in cost and risk, it only license out the production way is enough.
However, the consideration is the returns are not high.
Actually, exporting rate is low; it have to see the internal strategic and external strategic position
first if they analysis this problem. There has a major change in internal strategic position from no
production line to a systematic production way, this would be the significant change. In an
external way, the extension of the production would let to export product to the world wide where
is an untapped market. It should be a major change because it is only export to Australia, U.K.,
Singapore and Hong Kong only if it is not have a systematic production line. Now, which way
should take if enter into a new market. Using exporting way; itВЎВ¦s a high cost and low control
method because they need to spend a lot of marketing and distributing expense to form the channel
for them to export, however, ВЎВ§no pain, no gainВЎВЁ. (Hanson, 2005)
A strategic alliance is a good way for the company because it allows sharing the risks and the
resources with the alliance that mean does not have to bear all the risk of the exporting. In

Tom Responsible For The Great Gatsby
They were careless people, Tom and Daisy they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated
back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let
other people clean up the mess they had made. (The Great Gatsby) The Great Gatsby by F. Scott
Fitzgerald is mostly a lovestory. The plot line is similar to Romeo and Juliet but the man is killed
instead of suicide. Fitzgerald really emphasizes the sort of forbidden love between main
character Gatsby and wife of Tom, Daisy. Gatsby is a very mysterious man thought the book and
we are not sure if he is lying most of the time or his story is true. The main mystery of this book
is who killed Gatsby, and what their motive was. George Wilson (husband of Tom Carraway)
seems to be a likely suspect for the murder of Gatsby he knew it was Gatsby s car that killed

protect our jobs, and make companies more accountable, but, not at the expense of the taxpayers

effect on our jobs. The government of Canada needs to remember good paying are hard to find
in today s times. Our Canadian economy has already lost of over 500,000.00 jobs in the

Best Practices Of Managing Virtual Software Development Teams
Best practices in Managing Virtual Software Development Teams.
Introduction to Virtual Software Teams.
In this hard and fast run of Technology, handling software s efficiently in a defined area with
limited resources is a toughest challenge for any industry. Hence, virtual team emerged out as a
solution. The term virtual was driven out by the virtue in the 14th century but by 1950 s its
meaning extended to temporarily available or created or created by computer software . This gave
the actual definition of virtual teams as any project team in which the team members are
geographically dispersed and use technology to communicate or complete their goals . The trivial
way of handling teams contained many constraints and difficulties such as:
a.Geographic dispersion (occurring due to different geographical locations)
b.Temporal dispersion(Time difference in different time zones)
c.Cultural dispersion(Different languages )
d.Organizational dispersion(Different work ethics) Best practices in Managing Virtual Software
Development Teams:
Software development teams are always encouraged for healthy communication such as stand up
meetings, conferences and demo (if done according to agile) .but the toughest part is of the scrum
master or the group leader to confront all the challenges related to these and manage them
effectively.
These are the best practices which are popular today for Managing Virtual software development
teams. :

The Conservation And Recycling Of Water
Currently California has a terrible water problem, which is causing many people to cease
watering in excess all across the state. The reason California has water problems is that we are
emptying our underground aquifers during a drought that has been going on and many people
are still wasting water on their own personal opportunities. There are many options toward either
ending or surviving the water issue, such as the idea of war to take the water that California
needs to survive. Another is to build a pipeline from a place with extra rainfall annually that
California can syphon off for usage. Another is the option to conserve water across the state and
to reuse water as much as possible to minimize excess water usage. The most viable of these
solutions is the conservation and recycling of water. By conserving and recycling water there is
no waste, only recycled water for cleaning dishes, watering plants, and washing houses and cars.
The only foreseeable problem is that the process cannot be monitored and people are only held by
honesty and a promise to do what they can to conserve water, but the conservation of water seems
to be the most affordable, quickly enacted, and can be done by most families. Also the other
options require a higher amount of financial support to begin and continued maintenance, large
spans of time to orchestrate, and would need a lot of manpower. With the option of water
conservation time, money, and manpower is not as high of a needed factor when

Mismatch Between Limbic System
There is a mismatch between when the limbic system starts to mature and when the prefrontal
cortex starts to mature. The limbic system starts at the onset of puberty and with it starting at an
earlier age today the gap between when the limbic system matures and the prefrontal cortex matures
is getting larger making the window for risky behavior longer than it was before.
Since adolescent brain has the ability to change in response to the environment by modifying the
communications networks that connect brain regions, those changes make them vulnerable to
dangerous behaviors and mental disorders.
The increase in connectivity among brain regions is indicated as greater volumes of white matter

Heart Attacks Or Myocardial Infarctions
According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) every year about 735,000 Americans have a
heart attack. Of these, 525,000 are a first heart attack and 210,000 happen in people who have
already had a heart attack (CDC, 2015). Heart attacks or myocardial infarctions (MI) can be fatal
if appropriate steps and protocols are not followed soon after the onset. It requires critical
thinking by nurses and the health care team to reduce the damage to the heart and prevent death.
Every year 425,000 people in the United States die from a MI (Ignatavicius Workman, p. 831,
2013). Key nursing interventions, and implications will be emphasized as well as common
complications that may occur. Pathophysiology Myocardial infarction is defined as irreversible
necrosis of myocardial tissue as a result of inadequate blood flow for a critical period of time.
(Duksta Younker, 2012). A MI occurs when cardiac tissue is suddenly deprived of oxygen. Most
MIs are the result of atherosclerosis of a coronary artery, rupture of the plaque, subsequent
thrombosis, and occlusion of blood flow (Ignatavicius Workman, p. 829, 2013). When there is a
blood flow reduction in the heart of 80% to 90%, ischemia occurs, which can be followed by
necrosis of cardiac tissue if blood flow is not reestablished. A MI is further broken down by the
American College of Cardiology, there is the non ST elevation MI (NSTEMI) and the ST
elevation MI (STEMI), with the ST elevation showing on a 12 lead

Concepts In Inception
Inception Inception was released in 2010, and the film was given a slightly futuristic
atmosphere, but a specific date was not clarified. The main character, Dom Cobb (Leonardo

to observe their dreams and acquire information found only there. His behavior and practices are

the filmdisplays the apparent reality of the Thomas Theorem If men define situations as real, they

What Are The Characteristics Of The Victorian Era
The Victorian Era was a period of great change in English literature where most works were
directly influence by social and political problems of 19th century England. The Victorian Era was
a period spanning Queen Victoria s reign from 1837 to 1901. This period proceeded the Romantic
period in English History which had poetry as its main source of literature. Nevertheless, the most
important genre in the Victorian Period was the novel. In contrast, the Romantic Era, the era prior
to the Victorian Era, most influential genre was poetry. Most of the major literary artist came from
England, even though, there were also authors from other countries in the same time period of the

Undoubtedly, the literature of this era was relatively easier to read than works from other eras,
the plot was more interesting and easier to understand, and the main protagonist of the novel were
the same people who read it (first person point of view) so the reader was deeply involved in the
character s feelings and adventures. Moreover, the setting of the novels was big, well known, cities
that the reader probably already is familiar with. The Victorian literature characteristics were mostly
composed of social issues that plagued the middle class, and the major changes the population were
seeing with industrialization. Some notable characteristics were for example: industrialization, as
seen with Charlotte BrontГ« novel Shirley ; serialization, as seen with Charles Dickens The Woman
in White ; social class, taking for example Jane Austen s novel Pride and Prejudice ; Science vs.
Religion, the idea that science could explain what religion could not was challenged by Charles
Darwin in his book The Origin of the Species ; progress, as is the case for Gerge Eliot s novel

Don Quixote De La Mancha
The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote de la Mancha Essay Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra s The
Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote de la Mancha is a story that includes many tales of a man
obsessed with chivalry, Don Quixote, and his squire, Sancho Panza. These tales contain various
important themes, one including male and female relations. Don Quixoteand Sancho Panza
encountered male and female relations of all types promiscuous, ideal, young, and old and from all
of these types of relations that the two men encountered, the reader learned a lot about male and
female relations, which developed this theme into a significant one throughout the book. One type
of male and female relations that was seen multiple times throughout the book was promiscuous...

For example, in one part of the story a man, Grisistomo, died for a woman, Marcela, because of
her rejection after he declared to love her: (Grisistomo) followed her example by becoming
shepherds, each hoping that in this manner he might be able to win her... the funeral ceremony
is to be a most unusual one, and people from far and wide are coming to witness it. (Cervantes
139). Unlike an ideal relationship as stated previously, Cervantes portrayed young lovers as
turbulent and immature. Grisistomo just wanted to be with Marcela, but Marcela was too cruel
to even realize that Grisistomo loved her. Cervantes emphasized this cruelty through somber
diction with words such as funeral, and hoping, because even though Grisistomo loved Marcela,
she was far too cruel to realize that he loved her. One other situation of young love in the story
was with Dona Rodriguez and the squire. Dona Rodriguez married the squire, but one day he
died: she had unjustly dismissed the squire and it was grief over this that brought on his death.
(Cervantes 619). Dona Rodriguez was immature and young, so she dismissed the squire, which
brought upon grief. Later, Rodriguez had to raise an infant child alone. Cervantes specifically used
the word grief, in this statement to emphasize that grief that Rodriguez would later feel. The use of
this word was an example of disappointing diction. Dona Rodriguez s relationship with the squire
showed that young lovers tend to have turbulent affairs, which later lead to tragic conclusions, such
as the death of the squire or the death of Grisistomo with Marcela. Cervantes taught the reader that
young lovers are obviously inexperienced and their inexperience tends to lead to tragedy in their

Spoon River Poetry Analysis
The 1915 poetry collection, Spoon River Anthology, by Edgar Lee Masters, offers a portrait of
daily life in a fictional Illinois town, Spoon River. As is evident from the poems Spoon River was
an economic boom town which profited greatly from its proximity to rail roads and a major
waterway. Regardless of its prosperity, Spoon Riverseems to have remained a demographically
small town, and the neighbors all knew each other very well, and a clear social hierarchy formed.
One of the more interesting aspects of the Spoon River Anthologyis that the poems contained
therein are a series of grave epitaphs that tell a story about each deceased resident. Often,
graveyards themselves can serve as reminders of social hierarchies in the world of the living.
Typically, only those decedents who had family members and a community who cared for them
would be laid to rest in the community grave; the potter s field and the crematorium awaited those
who passed away without family, in debt, or with a criminal record. Thus, the initial assessment of
the deceased within the Spoon River graveyard would be that they were
good people in their lives.
Indeed, many of the epitaphs depict the decedents as moral, hardworking, and decent people.
However, when cross referencing the epitaphs from each citizen, it becomes clear that the
prominent members of Spoon River were incredibly corrupt in their day to day behavior.
Ultimately, Masters explores ethics in Spoon River Anthology by studying the fine

A Brief Note On Electro Encephalography ( Eeg )
Electro encephalography : Electro Encephalography (EEG) is primarily an electrophysiological
monitoring method, recording the electrical activity of the brain. It involves placing electrodes
along the scalp, which measure voltage fluctuations resulting from the ionic flux across the brain
neurons. These are recorded graphically and typically referred to as brainwaves . Prior to the advent
of Computed Tomography (CTScan) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), EEG monitoring
was the primary diagnostic tool for stroke, epilepsy and other focal brain disorders. EEG
monitoring in the settings of cardiac surgery can be initiated before induction by anesthesia and
continues in the post operative phase , in the intensive care unit (ICU). EEG monitoring is useful
to detect seizures . The most common neurological symptoms manifest in the neonatal cardiac
surgical intensive care unit include Non convulsive seizures and Status Epilepticus; the primary
cause being Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy(HIC). Studies reveal that the incidents of HIC
increase in the presence of adverse events like cardiac arrest and also in the use of Mechanical
Circulatory Support, ECMO,etc. EEG can be influenced by the use of hypothermia and anesthetic
agents. Use of deep hypothermia leads to isoelectricity, a marker of reduction in cerebral
metabolism. The threshold for isoelectricty can be a useful indication for adequacy of

THE ROLE OF ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVATION IN INDUSTRIAL
DEVELOPMENT IN NIGERIA (A CASE STUDY OF PORT
HARCOURT MUNICIPAL)
ABSTRACT
This study focused on The Role of Achievement Motivation in Industrial development: A study of
Port Harcourt Municipal. The onus of the research was to X ray the extent to which the role of
achievement motivation from childhood could be instrumental to industrial development in
Nigerian. In addition, some of the major objectives were to discover if the values of a given soda
economic milieu and achievement motivation could have a blend and affect a nation s level of
industrial development; to unravel the existence of low level of achievement values and lack of
industrial growth.
The researcher raised some hypothesis. These hypotheses were to establish if there is a significant
relationship between the inability to inculcate achievement motivation in an individual and low
level of its contribution to industrial development later in life; also to find out, if the more a family
inculcates achievement values in a child through socialization, the more, or the higher the
tendencies for the child to work hard and contribute meaningfully to industrial development.
Volumes of literature strictly related to the study/topic were reviewed and the need

The Latin Wars
Introduction
At its height in 117 A.D., the Roman Empire was the largest political organization in the western
world, extending across Europe, Northern Africa and the Middle East (Mark, 2011). What is
uncanny about this accomplishment are the numerous peoples and cultures that Rome gathered
together under her banner. In my discussion post for this unit I will discuss the importance of the
aftermath of the Latin Wars (340 338 B.C) specifically regarding Rome s treatment of the Latium
cities and how this set the precedence for her treatment of future subjugations and laid the
foundation for maintaining her vast empire (Toll, 2009).
Discussion
Early in Roman history around 340 B.C. Rome s strategic allies in Latium sensing her ambition
and tiring of Rome behaving as the de facto ruler of the region , demanded to be treated as equals,
not as territories of Rome (Toll, 2009). Furthermore, if their ... Show more content on

Subsequently, Rome scoffed at the demands of the Latins resulting in the Latin Wars which
concluded with the Romans victors (Morey, 1901).
It is at this moment in history when the Romans having learned from past endeavors engaged in a
brilliant strategy to incorporate the towns of Latium into the Roman political organization
(Forsythe, 2006, p.289 292). Rome s initial step was to breakup the Latin Confederacy, isolating
each of the towns in Latium with the knowledge that a united Latium would present a substantial
threat to Rome s power (Morey, 1901). Based on each Latin city s behavior and aggressiveness
during the war and on their level of compatibility, the Romans delegated certain rights and freedoms
to each city (Toll, 2009). Some of the towns were fully integrated in to the Roman political
organization with the populace of those towns being granted full Roman citizenship which
bestowed on them the right to trade with and marry other Roman

Toni Morrison Essays
Toni Morrison
The issue of abandonment and the will that it takes to survive the hardship of it is a reoccurring
theme in Toni Morrison s writing. Tar Baby, Sula and Paradise all deal with the issue of
abandonment and how it relates to the characters in her stories. Through her fiction, Toni Morrison
intends to present problems, not their answers (Moon). Her stated aim is to show how to survive
whole in a world where we are all of us, in some measure, victims of something. (Morrison)
Morrison s broad vision extends beyond the individual to one that explores self discovery in

main theme in her novel, Tar Baby.

Analysis Of Sherman s The Battle Of The Sea
4 Sherman s March To The Sea
Sherman s March to the Sea is the name commonly given to the Savannah Campaign by Maj. Gen.
William Tecumseh Sherman taking place from November 15, 1864 to December 21, 1864. which
followed the successful Atlanta Campaign. After leaving the decimated city of Atlanta on
November 16, Sherman led his troops on a destructive campaign which concluded with the capture
of the port city of Savannah on December 21. It is known for its boldness as well as the sheer
destruction inflicted on the south, both to its industry as well as military targets, effectively
destroying the Confederate s capacity to wage war.
Efforts to forestall Sherman s operations in central Georgia began in late September 1864, when
President Jefferson Davis personally visited the threatened front. On September 25 he reached
Palmetto, Ga., some 25 miles southwest of enemy occupied Atlanta. Palmetto was then
headquarters for General John B. Hood, commanding the Confederate Army of Tennessee.
Just two months earlier Davis had bumped Hood up the seniority ladder to take over the army after
General Joseph E. Johnston had failed to stop Sherman s march from Chattanooga to the outskirts of
Atlanta. Hood quickly launched a series of fierce offensive strikes at the Union forces enfolding the
city. None succeeded in halting the enemy, however, and Atlanta was abandoned on September 1.
Hood did have another plan, which, considering his situation, was about as good as could be
expected.

The Female Role Of Women In Shakespeare s Othello
In the play Othello written by William Shakespeare, we see not only the main male character
leads. But we also see the female characters, Desdemona, Emilia, and Bianca. These three women
were portrayed in ways that showed them being inferior to the other male roles as well as society
during the Elizabethan Era. But Shakespeare made each of these individual ladies characteristics
quite unique to one another having the traits of a feminist. Even though in the play we read how
the male characters did somewhat control them and made them look weak compared to them, there
were moments where Desdemona, Emilia and Bianca stood up for themselves.
In Othello Shakespeare portrays the main three female characters as being quite inferior to the other
male characters such as Othello himself, Iago and Casto. Because during that time of which
Shakespeare was writing these plays in the Elizabethan era. Society was in which religion was as at
the very most top and after was men being the second part of the social ladder and later come
women and rule justified women s subordination as the natural order because women were thought
to be physiologically and psychologically inferior to men women were expected to be silent,
chaste, and obedient to their husbands, fathers, brothers. Even education during the Elizabethan era
was only for smart men, and not for women, the women were only allowed to work as cleaners and
being mothers. Which makes them inferior to the male sex, we see this in

As you know by now, I am a firm believer in body weight exercises, or what I like to call REAL
exercises.
What does this mean?
Well, based on my experience, I find that too many people tend to take the easy way out when it
comes to the exercise they do to try and lose their unwanted body fat.
A perfect example is that mystery machine that seems to be so popular, called the Elliptical
Trainer. Body weight exercises can beat this type of exercise hands down in many ways. For
example, it s been proven that the movement that is replicated by one of these elliptical trainers is
unique unto itself, and doesn t mirror any natural movement that the human body performs on a
regular basis. In other words, doing a regular workout on one of these machines is like practicing
your golf swing for hours upon hours and then going out and playing a game of soccer, hoping that
those practice sessions will help your game!
Plus, let s face it, once you get on the machine and get it moving, you re pretty much just going
through the motions

Childhood Bulimia Nervosa
Background: Eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating are life threatening
conditions that affect a person s emotional and physical health. Anorexia nervosa is the intense fear
of gaining weight and having an abnormally low body weight. Individuals restrict the amount of
food they consume. Bulimia Nervosais eating large amounts of food and getting rid of the extra

abuse without physical abuse was not associated with eating disorders, whereas physical abuse

Sports s Impact On Our Lives
Sports have played a unique role in our everyday lives and carries a large influence on us,
shaping the way we act in our daily activities. What happens to the participants of competitive
sports on the field or court can, in some ways, prepare them for the situations that they maybe
wouldn t be able to understand or deal with without the influence of sport; and even just being a
spectator of these sports has a dramatic impact on your life. Sports are about having fun and
playing the game you love just simply because you love it is something maybe an average Little
League coach would say to his kids and in many ways that is completely correct, but there is a
lot more to sports then what we have been taught to believe growing up. What they didn t tell us
is that sports is very much a business as much as it is about having fun and doing what you love.
It was said that, Sport is too much a game to be a business and too much a business to be a game
(Hums, Barr, Gullion, 1999). Sport industries are constantly growing and making and spending
millions of dollars a year on the players, facilities, coaching staff, and attractions that will draw in
thousands of fans. The Financial World magazine of individual professional team sports estimates
that an average of $174 million dollars values the National Football League s teams. Major
broadcast networks like CBS, NBC, and ABC, are paying sporting industries to allow them to play

Seasons And Symbolism In Mary Shelley s Frankenstein
For centuries, seasons have been understood to stand for the same set of meanings. Seasons are
easily understood by the reader, and are easy for the writer to use; as Foster states, Seasons can
work magic on us, and writers can work magic with seasons (Foster 192). The different seasons
are a huge part of our lives; we live through each one every year, and we know how each of them
impacts our lives. This closeness between people and nature allows us to be greatly impacted by
the use of seasons in literature. In addition, Foster lays out the basic meanings of each season for
us: autumn is harvest, decline, tiredness; winter is anger, hatred, cold, old age; summer is passion,
love, happiness, beauty; and spring is childhood and youth. On the... Show more content on

entertainment industry knows who the paparazzi are. According to Merriam Webster s

celebrities for the purpose of taking candid photographs. The term actually came from a film

Literary Review of Bram Stoker s Dracula Essay
Review of Bram Stoker s Dracula Prior to the creation of the literary classic Dracula , Bram
Stoker spent his time managing the Lyceum Theatre and legendary actor Henry Irving.
According to Jennifer Dorn, when the novel was first published in 1897, critics regarded it as a

later. A graduate of Trinity college, Stoker came from a middle class Irish family, the son of a civil

a secret applauder to the feminist movement by creating female characters who exhibit such
independence. There are many interpretation of Stokers inspiration for the characters in Dracula,
and of the Count himself. According to a biography written by Barbara Belford, Stoker based his
dark vampire character on his actor friend and employer, Henry Irving. Stokers slavish devotion
to the actor can be compared to the relationship between Renfield and the Count (Miller). In the
novel, Renfield is driven mad with powerful loyalty to the Count. Belford insinuates in The

repressed homoerotic and sexual tendencies, possibly his own, that were forbidden by society
standards of that time. This issue brought forth the fears of societal sexual independence in the
Victorian era. Another speculation for the inspiration of the Count Dracula in Stokers novel is of

Essay on National Labor Relations Act
History
The National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), also known as the Wagner Act, was enacted in
Congress in 1935 and became one of the most important legacies of the New Deal. Prior to the
passage of the NLRA, employers had been free to spy on, interrogate, discipline, discharge, and
blacklist union members. Reversing years of federal opposition, the statute guaranteed the right of
employees to organize labor unions, to engage in collective bargaining, and to take part in strikes.
The act also created a National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) to arbitrate deadlocked labor
management disputes, guarantee democratic union elections, and penalize unfair labor practices by
employers. The law applied to all employees involved in the interstate ... Show more content on

More commonly, the union will obtain authorization cards from 30% of the employees of a
company. At this stage the union can now petition the National Labor Relations Board to have an
election. For a union to be organized the employees must represent an appropriate bargaining unit.
The appropriate bargaining unit must have a mutuality of interest among the workers. This interest
is determined by job duties, job similarity, skill levels, work site proximity and no management
employees.
Once these criteria are met an election occurs to determine if employees want to unionize. The
National Labor Relations Board oversees the election to make sure that a true secret vote is
secured. If a majority of employees, which is one vote over 50%, agree to join the union then the
NLRB certifies the union as the bargaining representative.
Management s Responsibilities
Members of management of a company whose employees are attempting to organize cannot, by
law, join a union. Once preliminary organizing begins and during the election campaign, employers
have certain rights and responsibilities, as mandated by the NLRB. The employer may lawfully
limit campaign activities that occur on company property, if it has a legitimate reason to do so.
Employers may also limit places where solicitation may occur, limit time during which solicitation
may take place, and limit access to the workplace by any outsider. Employers may limit distribution

people only because he thought the gods had more power than him. To fix that problem, he
wanted only one god, the Aten, to rule universally. Reeves doesn t assume that Akhenaten was
changing beliefs for theological reasons, but it was for the sake of his power. From the start of
his reign, it was clear that Akhenaten was determined to change something, and was willing to
share his beliefs in monotheism. Pharaoh, it is clear, was a man with a mission; of rare
intelligence, recognizably well tutored in the theological minutiae...despite his age, he was certain
in his beliefs and determined to share them (91). There was a text discovered called the Great Hym
of Aten and it is a hieroglyphic text discovered in el Amrna in the tomb of Ay. It was believed to
have been written by Akhenaten himself translated by W.J. Murnane. Reeves points out that the
hym was rather a strong emphasis on how one should portray the nature of reality, and rather weak
connection between Aten and the kingdom. He also notes that the hym as well as many other texts,
never emphasize sympathy or kindness to the Egyptian people, and it only praises Aten and the
relationship with Akhenaten. Whom you have taught your ways and your might...you yourself are
lifetime, one lives by you. This is showing us how much praise Akhenaten is giving to the Aten and
how he lived for

Racism And Structural Racism
A prevalent issue surrounding southern historic house museum interpretation today includes, an
acknowledgment of enslaved labor, but not the kind of engaged discussion that would help tourists
identify with that labor in affective ways (Modlin, Jr., Alderman, and Gentry 13). Some sites are
interpreting slaverywell, other are not, and some choose not to interpret slavery at all. Sites like
President Lincoln s Cottage and the Octagon House in Washington D.C. vary in methods of
interpretation, but make the effort to establish slavery as a difficult historical truth in the United
States. Examining historic housesites reveal how the absence of comprehensive slavery
interpretation furthers structural racismin our society.
A textbook definition of structural racism would include the normalization and legitimization of an
array of dynamics historical, cultural, institutional and interpersonal that routinely advantage whites
(Lawrence and Keleher 1). Institutional stigmatization of a marginalized community involves the
reinforcing effects of...cultural norms, past and present, continually producing new, and re
producing old forms of racism (Lawrence and Keleher 1). Notable historian Michel Rolph Trouillot
observed in his book Silencing the Past, that U.S. slavery has both officially ended, yet continues in
many complex forms most notably institutionalized racism and the cultural denigration of blackness
makes its presentation particularly burdensome in the United

The Death Penalty Was Furman V. Georgia Essay
As society has evolved, the way the death penalty has been implemented has also evolved
sometimes against the words of our Constitution. One of the more influential cases that transformed
how people view the death penalty was Furman v. Georgia. This case set up a guide for limited
sentencing discretion; this meant that sentencing for the death penalty would become standardized.
Essentially in extreme cases, every criminal death qualified would be sent to death row and
eventually executed. After disputes after Furman, cases like Woodson v. North Carolina insisted on
individualized discretion when discussing the death penalty. Those in favor of Woodson believed
that character ad record of an individual must be accounted especially when discussing life or death
(Woodson 238). In Walton v. Arizona, Justice Scalia and Justice Blackburn dispute over the
rationality of limited discretion v individualized discretion. Although each presents his case
differently, both agree about the tension between the Furman s promotion for limited discretion and
Woodson s idea of individualized sentencing discretion. In accordance with the Constitution, both
Furman v. Georgiaand Woodson v. North Carolina violated the Eighth Amendment in their
respective ways but the current system (in terms of capital punishmentprovides a loose balance that
ensures both the uniqueness of human beings as well as limits arbitrariness.
Pre Furman v. Georgia, flaws within capital punishment gave way to

Feminism In Shashi Deshpande
Shashi Deshpande is a known name in the world of Literature today. She writes about the Indian
soil, spreading its fragrance all over the world. Writing on Indian womanhood, she does not
personalise incidents or situations. Her aim is to enlighten women folk to stand for their own rights.
It is note worthy that the women are the sufferers and then, they are oppressors also. Works have
been done on the poor plight of women, especially in India but it has been a tedious task to mark
out the traces of women dominion in Deshpande novels. The artistic beauty of the author lies in
being able to project both sides of the coin. She has never been defensive about womanhood,
although a male writer is acclaimed as a writer whereas if a woman attempts to write, she is tagged
as feminist. When a man writes of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Saru s mother in The Dark Holds No Terrors keeps dominating her from the beginning but when
her brother Dhruva is drowned she becomes furious. Saru had only been a child. Her fault was that
she was a girl child. Saru s mother goes to the extent of telling her, Why didn t you die? Why are
you alive, when he s dead? (The Dark Holds No Terrors 191)
Beyond imagination, a mother can be such impudent with her own child just because she is a
female child. A mother wishing her daughter dead can be the crudest form of patriarchy supported
by women. These words get carved so deep inside her mind that Saru becomes a rebel against her
mother. Not only this, she could not develop the rationale of judgement and decision making being
suppressed always. Moreover, the guidance of her mother could have helped her but neither her
mother bothered nor she cared for the

Analysis Of Quote By Gregory Crewdson
Gregory Crewdson s work is very inspiring, he manages to complete an entire story, an entire
character art, all in one image and you really get involved in his world. Using light and colour
places a major cinematic role, the picture becomes an operatic framing device, there so rich with
props and all the other little details that when you look closer you will find something different.
Crewdson works with a medium format camera, eight by ten colour negatives, each print is fifty
nine inches by ninety inches, when you look closely at his image you see clarity and detail.
Crewsdon used Epson printing process in his studio, to maintain control over his entire process,
which allowed him to make his pictures feel like his own, like they were part of his world. Quote
by Gregory Crewdson
My pictures are about a search for a moment a perfect moment. To me, the most powerful moment in
the whole process is when everything comes together and there is that beautiful still moment, and
for that instant my life makes sense.
Birth was made on a sound stage, working with a large art department, Crewdson and his art
director start by making sketches, then architectural drawings, they then build the set which
normally takes about five to six weeks. In this specific photograph it looks like the woman has
given birth, and from outside of the house the bedroom and the bathroom are visible from outside,
which to me makes it an eerie concept as if life isn t private and shows real

Channeling Communication Between the World and Us Through...
By definition, sense perception is whereby the idea of sense is referred to the external stimulus in
which we perceive our knowledge through while perception is defined to be the awareness towards
something through our senses. Long before we learned how to use language, reasoning, faith, or
emotions, we have already been making use of our external stimuluses to make senseor even be
conscious of the world. This makes sense perceptionour primary source of obtaining knowledge
since it is the only way for us to interact with the world around us. However, though it plays a
requisite part for us in attaining knowledge, sense perception can both impede and limit our
understanding of the world. In this essay, the strengths and weaknesses of... Show more content on

This is similar to the way in which knowledge is deduced in human sciences. For example, in
Anthropology, anthropologists make claims based on the observations they make of a particular
community. These observations can range from the clothes the people in the community adorn, to
the way in which they interact with one another. Without observing the community while being
immersed in it, theories of communities or about their culture will never surface.
While sense perception serves as our fundamental way of knowing, its strength of it being our
predominant method of acquiring knowledge is its weakness as well.
Due to the imperfection of our sensory organs, it generates inconsistent information gathered
which subsequently affects the way we perceive knowledge. In the case of natural sciences,
such a Biology, the obtainment of raw data sometimes requires the process of the image. For
example, one might need to measure the size of the cell during the study of cytology. Human
error is involved the moment a process of what is observed needs to be carried out. From
various angles, the cell may appear slightly larger, while in other angles, slightly smaller, resulting
in a variation of the data obtained. In such a case, how can one deduce that the data collected by
one person is indeed accurate or false? Besides, we as humans generate our biasness towards
everything, subconsciously or consciously. This results in us never being able to grasp a situation

Familial Connections in Invisible Man
Family. It is a very fluid yet rigid idea. It has a wealth of definitions, all of which range in degree
and magnitude, and vary from person to person; yet the concept of how a family should work and
operate is very concrete in most American minds. Family is a bond that is crafted every second of
everyday until it is powerful, and this can shape beliefs, outlooks, and confidence. A study found
that children with father figures that are highly involved benefit because an immense range of
emotions are modelled to them as children, and consequently they will be more adapt at
recognizing and expressing their own emotions. In contrast children ... Show more content on

Bledsoe as the coal black daddy of whom we [are] afraid (Ellison 116). Because a father s role is to
lead by example and teach core values Invisible man accepts Bledsoe s ideology and beliefs with
little hesitation; even when Dr. Bledsoe orders for him to leave the college, an order that would
inevitably hurt his future, Invisible Man convinces himself that he has violated the code and
deserves Bledsoe s punishment (Ellison 147). This early interaction with Bledsoe furthers the
neglect and embarrassment of his culture and heritage. Bledsoe s utter disdain for his fellow
black man leaves the narrator with a sense of shame of his southern black roots as he heads to
New York and later discovers the brotherhood and Brother Jack. Gerald Lyn Early describes
Brother Jack as, the latest father figure (96) as if Invisible Man treats his mentors like ever
changing trends, abandoning one and immediately latching on to another. Down on his luck the
narrator easily accepts Brother Jack into his life. Brother Jack quickly opens his arms to the
narrator and gives him a house, a great salary, and he even starts to shape and mentor the narrator
in his image. This leads to a need and desire for confirmation of his worth by Brother Jack about
his speeches and work in the community. Brother Jack becomes, as the narrator puts it, the great
white father (Ellison 473). But the narrator s faultless image surrounding Brother Jack

Thayer s Microcosm Of Culture
In discussing Dartmouth s landscape, we primarily stuck to the center of campus: the Green,
Dartmouth Hall, Baker Library, etc. On the way west side of campus, Thayer promptly sits, hidden
by the trees on the south side of Tuck Drive. As Pierce K. Lewis explains, if one part of the country
looks substantially different from some other part of the country, then the chances are very good
that the cultures of the two places are different also. We know that Dartmouth is not a country, but
in essence it has many qualities to resemble one an administration (government), employees (faculty

This means that JC Penney turns over their inventory 2.5 times during year. TJX turns over their
inventory 5 times during the year, in fact TJX is the only competitor whose turn over inventory
average is above the industry average. As stated in Fundamentals of Corporate Finance by
Stephen A. Ross, the Beta indicates the amount of systematic risk present in a particular risky
asset relative to that in an average risky asset (427). The Beta for JC Penney and TJX is above
industry average that means that these companies would have a greater expected return. Systematic
risk or market risk is the risk that affects a large number of assets. Examples of systematic risk are
inflation or increasing the interest rate, or any uncertainties in the economy but not the company s
performance. Unsystematic risk is the risk that mainly associated with specific companies or may
be some competitors and suppliers. The systematic risk affects the whole market and cannot be
controlled by investors. Unsystematic risk however affects the company and is controlled by the
company s performance. When investors invest money into a company they must research all
aspects of that company so they are aware of the unsystematic risks they may encounter. JC Penney
is an unfavorable choice for investors because the company analysis indicates that the company is
unprofitable. Along with the bad financial analysis and

Mass Media And Its Effect On Society
Mass Media are organizations in our society. The medium industries provide information and
entertainment, but mass media also can affect political, social, and cultural institutions.
Mediums such as radio, newspapers, and television all reflect and affect American society.
However, the main one that I am going to discuss is Radio. Radio is more effective in mass
media as compared to the other mediums. The way radio was back then is way different from
what it is in society today, it has changed over time. People believe that radio is one of the dying
mediums, but that s false. Radio has saved plenty of lives through communication. Radio has
been the first device to allow for mass communication. It changed the pace at which information
was exchanged. Radio broadcasts that exist in society today didn t began until after World War
I. Radio was used during the war to communicate. But, the federal government had ordered all
professionals off the air taking control over all stations. Back in 1920, KDKA was licensed as
the nation s first commercial broadcast in the United States. The audience began to expand very
quickly because advertisers began to see how well the broadcast was doing. In addition, seeing
that the audience was expanding they started to think about how they would make money. So, AT
T radio broadcast station (WEAF) became the first paid commercial, they began selling limited
advertisement time to sponsors. This led to success. Radio back then was and still is a

  • 2. Finding Proof of Freshwater on Mars Freshwater on Mars Finding proof of potential life on other planets seems way out of reach but is has been attempted for the last couple years. In fact, new discoveries made by NASAs Curiosity Rover and its team was brought out very recently. In the news there was an article, NASA Curiosity Rover Discovers Evidence of Freshwater MarsLake , about the roverthat may have found evidence of an ancient lake. Through these discoveries scientists of NASAhave made a hypothesis that Mars was in fact Earth like, not just the desert that we know it as today. They believe that Mars had many swimming holes that were part of a wet environment that could potentially have supported living life. These life forms could live on Mars because of the environment that was once similar to earth s. One of the major craters that they were looking at which supported this idea was called the Gale Crater. This specific crater is known to have rocks that were around 4.2 billion years old, and said to be from a running water lake. This idea has just been developed from a long lasting idea that Mars did have some water but its quality was like battery acid. Many times before, NASA has sent rovers to Mars to search for life. They have not only sent Curiosity but also Spirit and Opportunity. The one that found all of this information, Curiosity, had the job of sampling rocks by drilling holes in them. This rover took off from earth in the summer of 2012 and gathered the major information in October ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Racial Inequality In The NFL For many, speaking up for what you believe in can be difficult and risky, but ultimately worth the risk. Colin Kaepernick took this risk, by kneeling during the national anthem to stand up against police brutality and the inequality that people of color (NFL). With many unjust shootings and police beatings of African Americans, Kaepernick s teammate Eric Reid couldn t stand the violence anymore after the killing of Alton Sterling in my hometown Baton Rouge, La (Reid). Reid joined Kaepernick in taking a knee during the national anthem, in doing this Kaepernick and Reid inspired other players to raise awareness and help those in need. This decision caused huge impacts on the nation, the NFL, and the youth who look up to the players of the NFL. Racial inequality will always be a huge topic in the United Statesof America, and continues today to still be a huge topic. With the NFL players raising awareness by kneelingand locking arms together during the national anthem, the topic of racial inequality has gained more interest. After Kaepernick in 2016 first kneeled many other athletes and stars joined the movement to talk about the problems of racial inequality. People like Ellen DeGeneres, Zendaya, George Lopez, and many others voice their support for the players (JustJared). This new NFL season has caused more controversy with a new president that is invoking many people, Trump took a shot at the players protesting stating Wouldn t you love to see one of these NFL owners, ... The fans of Barcelona on the other hand, think they are better than everyone else and try to bring up the past and resentment that is not there. • 5. The Effects Of Previous Statements Of The Halitosis And... Is there any better way to define and classify halitosis? HUANG,WEI TE Introduction Although halitosis is a generally recognised social problem, there is no consensus on the definition and classification of it(1).This embarrassment leads to psychologic stress with repulsive impression and hinders a pleasant communication ,which are the situations that most people struggle to avoid. The genesis of malodour may stem from oral cavity itself or from extraoral sources(2), and the managements varies with the causative factors. If the problem is bad oral hygiene, the treatment will be oral hygiene instruction or periodontal treatment. When system disease is the cause, the dentist may refer to physician for further control. Moreover, some organic function insufficiencies may be noticed, if they are the origins. Since there are different sources of halitosis that lead to different managements (3), finding a way to define and classify the ailment properly and clearly to provide a suitable guideline for the diagnosis is a necessity. In this article, we discuss several defects of previous statements of the halitosis and the new definition with classification which was published by M. Aydin and C. N. Suge Being Responsible for Tupac s Death and is Tupac Really Dead The world has always been filled with certain unknowns and conspiracies that keep people debating between whether or not these unknowns are fact or fiction. History has proved that there are several occurrences that have sprouted questions within the mind. Did we really land on the moon in 1969? Did an alien spacecraft crash in New Mexico? What is going on at Area 51? There is one conspiracy that continually demands answers, especially amongst teenagers. It revolves around a man that affects most teenagers directly because of his influence through his music. The controversy in question is whether or not Tupac Amaru Shakur truly died from a shooting. He is six feet three inches and 335 pounds and Tupac was five feet nine inches and closer to 150 pounds, how come he was only Grazed by one bullet? Could Suge have been apart of it? Could he have set Tupac up? Suge is the executive producer of Death Row Records. With Tupac dead, the profits go to him. Is that reason enough for Suge to have Tupac shot? The suspicions behind Suge s involvement are not the only things that seem bizarre. The entire situation during the night of Tupac s shooting seemed odd. There were a couple cars filled with Tupac s entourage directly behind the car that Tupac was riding in. The entourage was a group of Tupac s friends. One would assume that they were friends that would be willing to protect Tupac, especially, Tupac s bodyguard. So when the shooter in the white Cadillac finished shooting at Tupac, it is particularly speculative that no one sought to figure out who the murderer was shortly after the incident. The murder took place in Las Vegas, which is adjacent to a huge desert. Why was it so easy for the assailants to get away? There was only one witness to the shooting. His name was Yafeu Fula and he was found shot to death on November 10th in a hallway of an apartment building in East Orange, NJ. First, it is not likely that there would only be one witness to a drive by shooting in one of the busiest cities in the world, especially after a Mike Tysonfight that tens of thousands of people attended. The trivial way of handling teams contained many constraints and difficulties such as: a.Geographic dispersion (occurring due to different geographical locations) b.Temporal dispersion(Time difference in different time zones) c.Cultural dispersion(Different languages ) d.Organizational dispersion(Different work ethics) Best practices in Managing Virtual Software Development Teams: Software development teams are always encouraged for healthy communication such as stand up meetings, conferences and demo (if done according to agile) .but the toughest part is of the scrum master or the group leader to confront all the challenges related to these and manage them effectively. These are the best practices which are popular today for Managing Virtual software development teams. : a)Managing different generations ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. The Conservation And Recycling Of Water Currently California has a terrible water problem, which is causing many people to cease watering in excess all across the state. The reason California has water problems is that we are emptying our underground aquifers during a drought that has been going on and many people are still wasting water on their own personal opportunities. There are many options toward either ending or surviving the water issue, such as the idea of war to take the water that California needs to survive. Another is to build a pipeline from a place with extra rainfall annually that California can syphon off for usage. Another is the option to conserve water across the state and to reuse water as much as possible to minimize excess water usage. The most viable of these solutions is the conservation and recycling of water. By conserving and recycling water there is no waste, only recycled water for cleaning dishes, watering plants, and washing houses and cars. The only foreseeable problem is that the process cannot be monitored and people are only held by honesty and a promise to do what they can to conserve water, but the conservation of water seems to be the most affordable, quickly enacted, and can be done by most families. Also the other options require a higher amount of financial support to begin and continued maintenance, large spans of time to orchestrate, and would need a lot of manpower. With the option of water conservation time, money, and manpower is not as high of a needed factor when ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 14. Heart Attacks Or Myocardial Infarctions According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) every year about 735,000 Americans have a heart attack. Of these, 525,000 are a first heart attack and 210,000 happen in people who have already had a heart attack (CDC, 2015). Heart attacks or myocardial infarctions (MI) can be fatal if appropriate steps and protocols are not followed soon after the onset. It requires critical thinking by nurses and the health care team to reduce the damage to the heart and prevent death. Every year 425,000 people in the United States die from a MI (Ignatavicius Workman, p. 831, 2013). Key nursing interventions, and implications will be emphasized as well as common complications that may occur. Pathophysiology Myocardial infarction is defined as irreversible necrosis of myocardial tissue as a result of inadequate blood flow for a critical period of time. (Duksta Younker, 2012). A MI occurs when cardiac tissue is suddenly deprived of oxygen. Most MIs are the result of atherosclerosis of a coronary artery, rupture of the plaque, subsequent thrombosis, and occlusion of blood flow (Ignatavicius Workman, p. 829, 2013). When there is a blood flow reduction in the heart of 80% to 90%, ischemia occurs, which can be followed by necrosis of cardiac tissue if blood flow is not reestablished. A MI is further broken down by the American College of Cardiology, there is the non ST elevation MI (NSTEMI) and the ST elevation MI (STEMI), with the ST elevation showing on a 12 lead ... Moreover, the setting of the novels was big, well known, cities that the reader probably already is familiar with. Don Quixoteand Sancho Panza encountered male and female relations of all types promiscuous, ideal, young, and old and from all of these types of relations that the two men encountered, the reader learned a lot about male and female relations, which developed this theme into a significant one throughout the book. (Cervantes 139). Unlike an ideal relationship as stated previously, Cervantes portrayed young lovers as turbulent and immature. Grisistomo just wanted to be with Marcela, but Marcela was too cruel to even realize that Grisistomo loved her. Cervantes emphasized this cruelty through somber diction with words such as funeral, and hoping, because even though Grisistomo loved Marcela, she was far too cruel to realize that he loved her. One other situation of young love in the story was with Dona Rodriguez and the squire. Dona Rodriguez married the squire, but one day he died: she had unjustly dismissed the squire and it was grief over this that brought on his death. (Cervantes 619). Dona Rodriguez was immature and young, so she dismissed the squire, which brought upon grief. Later, Rodriguez had to raise an infant child alone. Cervantes specifically used the word grief, in this statement to emphasize that grief that Rodriguez would later feel. The use of this word was an example of disappointing diction. Dona Rodriguez s relationship with the squire showed that young lovers tend to have turbulent affairs, which later lead to tragic conclusions, such as the death of the squire or the death of Grisistomo with Marcela. • 22. Spoon River Poetry Analysis The 1915 poetry collection, Spoon River Anthology, by Edgar Lee Masters, offers a portrait of daily life in a fictional Illinois town, Spoon River. As is evident from the poems Spoon River was an economic boom town which profited greatly from its proximity to rail roads and a major waterway. Regardless of its prosperity, Spoon Riverseems to have remained a demographically small town, and the neighbors all knew each other very well, and a clear social hierarchy formed. One of the more interesting aspects of the Spoon River Anthologyis that the poems contained therein are a series of grave epitaphs that tell a story about each deceased resident. Often, graveyards themselves can serve as reminders of social hierarchies in the world of the living. Typically, only those decedents who had family members and a community who cared for them would be laid to rest in the community grave; the potter s field and the crematorium awaited those who passed away without family, in debt, or with a criminal record. Thus, the initial assessment of the deceased within the Spoon River graveyard would be that they were good people in their lives. Indeed, many of the epitaphs depict the decedents as moral, hardworking, and decent people. However, when cross referencing the epitaphs from each citizen, it becomes clear that the prominent members of Spoon River were incredibly corrupt in their day to day behavior. Ultimately, Masters explores ethics in Spoon River Anthology by studying the fine ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A Brief Note On Electro Encephalography ( Eeg ) Electro encephalography : Electro Encephalography (EEG) is primarily an electrophysiological monitoring method, recording the electrical activity of the brain. It involves placing electrodes along the scalp, which measure voltage fluctuations resulting from the ionic flux across the brain neurons. These are recorded graphically and typically referred to as brainwaves . Prior to the advent of Computed Tomography (CTScan) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), EEG monitoring was the primary diagnostic tool for stroke, epilepsy and other focal brain disorders. EEG monitoring in the settings of cardiac surgery can be initiated before induction by anesthesia and continues in the post operative phase , in the intensive care unit (ICU). EEG monitoring is useful to detect seizures . The most common neurological symptoms manifest in the neonatal cardiac surgical intensive care unit include Non convulsive seizures and Status Epilepticus; the primary cause being Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy(HIC). Studies reveal that the incidents of HIC increase in the presence of adverse events like cardiac arrest and also in the use of Mechanical Circulatory Support, ECMO,etc. EEG can be influenced by the use of hypothermia and anesthetic agents. William Tecumseh Sherman taking place from November 15, 1864 to December 21, 1864. which followed the successful Atlanta Campaign. After leaving the decimated city of Atlanta on November 16, Sherman led his troops on a destructive campaign which concluded with the capture of the port city of Savannah on December 21. It is known for its boldness as well as the sheer destruction inflicted on the south, both to its industry as well as military targets, effectively destroying the Confederate s capacity to wage war. Efforts to forestall Sherman s operations in central Georgia began in late September 1864, when President Jefferson Davis personally visited the threatened front. On September 25 he reached Palmetto, Ga., some 25 miles southwest of enemy occupied Atlanta. Palmetto was then headquarters for General John B. Hood, commanding the Confederate Army of Tennessee. Just two months earlier Davis had bumped Hood up the seniority ladder to take over the army after General Joseph E. Johnston had failed to stop Sherman s march from Chattanooga to the outskirts of Atlanta. Hood quickly launched a series of fierce offensive strikes at the Union forces enfolding the city. None succeeded in halting the enemy, however, and Atlanta was abandoned on September 1. Hood did have another plan, which, considering his situation, was about as good as could be expected. ... But we also see the female characters, Desdemona, Emilia, and Bianca. These three women were portrayed in ways that showed them being inferior to the other male roles as well as society during the Elizabethan Era. But Shakespeare made each of these individual ladies characteristics quite unique to one another having the traits of a feminist. Even though in the play we read how the male characters did somewhat control them and made them look weak compared to them, there were moments where Desdemona, Emilia and Bianca stood up for themselves. In Othello Shakespeare portrays the main three female characters as being quite inferior to the other male characters such as Othello himself, Iago and Casto. Because during that time of which Shakespeare was writing these plays in the Elizabethan era. Society was in which religion was as at the very most top and after was men being the second part of the social ladder and later come women and rule justified women s subordination as the natural order because women were thought to be physiologically and psychologically inferior to men women were expected to be silent, chaste, and obedient to their husbands, fathers, brothers. What happens to the participants of competitive sports on the field or court can, in some ways, prepare them for the situations that they maybe wouldn t be able to understand or deal with without the influence of sport; and even just being a spectator of these sports has a dramatic impact on your life. Sports are about having fun and playing the game you love just simply because you love it is something maybe an average Little League coach would say to his kids and in many ways that is completely correct, but there is a lot more to sports then what we have been taught to believe growing up. What they didn t tell us is that sports is very much a business as much as it is about having fun and doing what you love. It was said that, Sport is too much a game to be a business and too much a business to be a game (Hums, Barr, Gullion, 1999). Seasons are easily understood by the reader, and are easy for the writer to use; as Foster states, Seasons can work magic on us, and writers can work magic with seasons (Foster 192). The different seasons are a huge part of our lives; we live through each one every year, and we know how each of them impacts our lives. This closeness between people and nature allows us to be greatly impacted by the use of seasons in literature. In addition, Foster lays out the basic meanings of each season for us: autumn is harvest, decline, tiredness; winter is anger, hatred, cold, old age; summer is passion, love, happiness, beauty; and spring is childhood and youth. There are many interpretation of Stokers inspiration for the characters in Dracula, and of the Count himself. According to a biography written by Barbara Belford, Stoker based his dark vampire character on his actor friend and employer, Henry Irving. Stokers slavish devotion to the actor can be compared to the relationship between Renfield and the Count (Miller). In the novel, Renfield is driven mad with powerful loyalty to the Count. Essay on National Labor Relations Act History The National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), also known as the Wagner Act, was enacted in Congress in 1935 and became one of the most important legacies of the New Deal. Prior to the passage of the NLRA, employers had been free to spy on, interrogate, discipline, discharge, and blacklist union members. Reversing years of federal opposition, the statute guaranteed the right of employees to organize labor unions, to engage in collective bargaining, and to take part in strikes. For a union to be organized the employees must represent an appropriate bargaining unit. The appropriate bargaining unit must have a mutuality of interest among the workers. This interest is determined by job duties, job similarity, skill levels, work site proximity and no management employees. Once these criteria are met an election occurs to determine if employees want to unionize. The National Labor Relations Board oversees the election to make sure that a true secret vote is secured. If a majority of employees, which is one vote over 50%, agree to join the union then the NLRB certifies the union as the bargaining representative. Thutmose III was the sixth pharaoh of the 18th dynasty and was ruling co regent with his aunt Hatshepsut. Akhenaten wanted to restore power in himself, not because he cared about his people only because he thought the gods had more power than him. To fix that problem, he wanted only one god, the Aten, to rule universally. Reeves doesn t assume that Akhenaten was changing beliefs for theological reasons, but it was for the sake of his power. From the start of his reign, it was clear that Akhenaten was determined to change something, and was willing to share his beliefs in monotheism.
