Undertale Essay
Game Analysis: Undertale (2015)
In Undertale the combat system is very unique in comparison to other games by being a mix of
a Shoot em up game and a turn based RPG. Once a player enters combat through a random
encounter in the overworld they are greeted with a screen showing the enemies sprite and at the
bottom of the screen 4 different options for them to pick; fight, act, item and mercy. Once it is
the enemy s turn to attack the player A box will appear with a player controlled heart symbol in
the centre, then different things will appear in the box that the player must avoid or they will take
damage. If the player chooses the fight command they will be shown a bar at the bottom of the
screen with a bar moving across the screen. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The game has a simple pixel art style which works quite well as it is meant to resemble a game
that would be for the NES or SNES. The characters in battle are always in black and white with a
simple black background which as a design choice works quite well as it doesn t distract the player
from dodging the enemies attacks and makes sure there s no way they can mistake any background
element for an attack they must dodge.
The enemy designs in the game are very unique and interesting, often representing some kind of
character trope, for example there is an enemy in the game named Aaron that is a horse with a
mermaid s tail that is obsessed with his muscles. When Aaron attacks the player, the player must
move out of the way from 2 arms on the side of the box that come up from the bottom. Every
monster in the game has specialised attacks like this, for example there is an enemy that has an
obsession with cleaning and his attack is water droplets flowing out from the middle of the screen
that the player has to avoid. This is a good design decision as it adds depth and intrigue to the
characters in an extremely simple way which will make the player interested to see what other
attacks the monsters

The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame
Admission to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in Cleveland, has been postponed for the current
week, apparently so Republican National Convention goers can unreservedly visit the Louder
Than Words: Rock, Power, and Politics show shortly possessing its upper floors. This appears
like a smart thought. For quite a long time, Republican crusades have profoundly misjudged,
regularly in clever ways, the most developmental and vital belief systems of rock music, as
prove by their unending avoiding of restraining requests from performers who don t need their
dissident hollers related, even incidentally, with preservationist motivation. Now and again I get
a kick out of the chance to envision that there is a solitary chuckling, since quite a while ago
haired d.j. in charge of the most recent forty years of walkout music disasters. He appreciates a
solid toke and a snicker. Only he prompted up Conceived in the U.S.A. (an against war melody)
for Ronald Reagan or This Land Is My Land (a tune that mourns disparity) for George H. W.
Hedge. This year, he picked Aerosmith s Fantasy On, a substantial, spiraling tune about death that
Donald Trump in the long run needed to quit utilizing in light of the fact that the band more than
once whined. ( Despite the fact that I have the lawful right to utilize Steven Tyler s tune, he
requested that me not, Trump tweeted. Have better one to have its spot! Steven Tyler got more
exposure on his tune demand than he s gotten in ten years.

The Wright Brothers Sparknotes
The Wright Brothers was a book about the invention of a flying machine by the brothers Wilbur and
Orville Wright. It showed how the brothers developed their own airplane that was talked about
around the world. It showed the math, science, and mechanics that went into building the first
plane. This book would interest math teachers, science teachers, engineers, pilots, and whomever is
interested in planes. This book was published in 2016, but was written over things that happened in
that start of the twentieth century. The events that take place happened a little over one hundred
years ago which was not a long time ago. David McCullough wrote The Wright Brothers to tell the
story of how the airplane was invented. To show how much dedication... Show more content on

They were all different shapes and sizes and were hammered in different directions in the tunnel of

Wilbur how to construct the wings. This was a huge turning point for the two brothers because no
men had studied the science of flight that tediously or with such courage. In the second part of the
book, the brothers wanted to add an engine to their aircraft. Wilbur and Orville sent out letters to
companies that manufacture car engines. They asked for engines that they could have off the shelf
that was light in weight but had great power. Charlie Taylor, a man who helped the Wright Brother

eight horsepower. This motor was finished by mid February but broke after testing it. Two months

Shakespeare’s King Lear Essay
Multiple Viewpoints of Shakespeare s King Lear
Shakespeare s King Lear is a tragic about an aging King of Britain and his three daughters. When it
comes time to divide his kingdom, he puts his daughters through a test to prove how much they
love him. The two older daughters, Goneril and Regan, give King Lear flattering answers and
therefore receive great amounts of finer land. The third and youngest daughter, Cordilia, says that
she has no words to describe how much she loves her father. King Lear becomes enraged with
Cordilia and disowns her and gives her no land. The rest of the play tells the story of how the two
older daughters become corrupt and get greedy. King Leer is thrown out of his own house by his

Motion Picture Made for Television (IMDB np). The movie itself won the Bronze Wrangler
Award in the Western Heritage Awards for Television Feature Film. King of Texas also was
presented the Spur Award by Western Writers of America for the best drama script (IMDB np).
King of Texas is a movie based on the same story line as King Leer. The movie is a western
version of King Leer and catered to a younger audience. King of Texas is based in Texas when
Texas was an independent country. John Leer, played by Patrick Stewart, is a man who owns a
large ranch in Texas. Instead of being rivals with the French his main competition is a Mexican
ranch owner to his south. Leer has three daughters, Suzannah, Rebecca, and Claudia, and wants to
break up his land between them before he dies. He gives each daughter a chance to tell him how
much they love him. When the two older daughters give him flattering answers he in return gives
them large portions of his ranch. When his youngest daughter says she can not explain to him how
much she loves him, Leer becomes enraged and disowns her. This is the same as when King Leer
breaks up his kingdom in Britain.
The technical aspect of the movie matches the story well. The site where the movie was shot gives
the impression that Leer s ranch is the largest and most important in Texas. It makes Leer seem as
if he may actually be the king

Universal Healthcare In The United States
The United States of America is the only major country that does not offer healthcare coverage as
a right of citizenship. Most established (advanced) countries have a universal healthcare program,
which means accessibility to every citizen. It is a system usually operates by the federal
government, it has social rules and regulations and is financed through different new taxations. This
issue had been discussed for years during the Depression and World War II the United Stateshad no
funds to implement the universal healthcare. As an outcome, a privet division was established that
did not provide healthcare to all the citizens. However, the government s role of providing
healthcare insurance developed as a regulatory form to ensure that the elderly and poor were able

Saltwater Effects On The Wetlands
Saltwater Effects on the Wetlands In John Grisham s The Pelican Brief, He brings up oil and gas
companies drilling in the wetlands, which is destroying them, and I decided to investigate further
about how these companies have been damaging the environment. The main way that the
wetlands are being killed is from the salt water that is intruding into the marshes from the canals,
that gas and oil companies use, are the way that most salt water gets so deep inside the wetlands
(Barnowski). Oil and gas companies are always trying to build more canals to invade different
areas of the wetlands when they find different reserves of oil and gas just like Victor Mattiece was
in the Pelican Brief. When they build more canals, The wetlands soil starts... Show more content on

The state s many salt water lakes were once extensions of the sea that become cut off by ridges
of sand or deposits of silt (Colten). This basically means that there are salt marshes that were
already in the wetlands and that weren t hurting anything. They are just there because the
Mississippi pulled silt or sand down to the ocean and it built up to create salt water marshes and
then plants that could handle the salt water grew and salt water creatures also started to inhabit
the area. The marshes that were just extensions of the ocean are harmless to the wetlands but
when canals bring in salt water they damage the other marshes that aren t supposed to have salt
in them. When salt water invades the freshwater marshes, the plants start dying off because the
plants can t live in the salty conditions. The fewer plants that are in the wetlands the more
unstable the soil is because the plants root systems hold much of the land together (Barnowski).
The loose soil is then more easily eroded, which connects the vicious circle of erosion and plant
loss (Barnowski). The higher amount of plants that die off by the salt water will cause Louisiana
to lose larger portions of its wetlands. We are already losing about 35 square miles of the coastal
land due to erosion annually (Colten). The salt water doesn t only kill the plant life in the marshes,
it starves the animals living in those marshes as well. The

Persuasive Essay About French Food
I m craving for French food. Want to go get some?
That s one phrase I ve never had to answer simply because no one brings that up. We don t go to
French restaurants on a student budget because almost anything with the word French attached
to it is a tad bit overpriced. When I think of enjoying French food, I think of men having to wear
pressed suits and women donning their glamorous dresses and high heels, then they need to have
powdered noses and carefully coiffed hair before being served food in very large plates but with
tiny portions. It s a cuisine of the elite but for something so highly regarded it s ironic that French
food isn t too much known compared to what people know of Italian food.
To be honest I was a bit overwhelmed when we started learning about French food thinking that it
would really be difficult to grasp, and the terms were so hard to pronounce, it was that one time
that I realized a little too late that hors d oeuvres weren t even pronounced as horse devours. In

don t even use the tomato sauce for their pasta dishes, just good al dente pasta with a bit of garlic

A Brief History Of The Greenock Steamship

enters the Firth of Clyde. Historically it had largely been a fishing town, but the construction of a
harbour in 1714 marked the be ginning of its transformation into one of the key ports on the Clyde.
Throughout the 18th and early 19th centuries, a large fleet of sailing ships came to call Greenock

Indies, Australia, and California, and in the conveyance of timber from the St Lawrence River in

The advent of the screw propeller changed all of this and made steamers increasingly viable.
Though she still bore sails, Archimedes was the world s first screw propelled steamship. Built in
1839 in Britain, she had considerable influence on the development of ships and shipping in the
years to come. Despite the advances in steam technology, however, sailing ships continued to
dominate the world s oceans for many years to come. Unlike steamers they did not depend on
the availability of coal and were simply much cheaper to run. This was particularly evident in
voyages to the Far East, reached from Europe via the Cape of Good Hope at Africa s south ern
tip and from America across the Indian Ocean. This changed in 1869 with the opening of the
Suez Canal. As a result of this, the Far East and Australia were opened up to steamers bearing
passengers and mail from the Europe. But the effects of such developments were not immediate.
The continued dominance of sail was obvious nowhere better than in Greenock. When the Suez
Canal opened in 1869, only seven of the 182 or so Greenock registered ships listed in that year s
Post Officer Directory were steamers. In the subsequent years, the registration of additional sail ing
ships by Greenock shipowners consistently outnumbered the addition of new steamers. One such
syndicate of shipowners was William Lindsay and Com pany. The company had long been involved

10 Things I Hate About You Chick Flick Analysis
A Chick Flick as broadly agreed upon is the kind of films that mostly appeal to a female audience.
Even the name itself is a bit offensive. It implies that films having female characters are
appealing just to women spectators, and films with men, as protagonists are more commonly
considered as widespread, while those who have bunches of ladies in them are so called Chick
Flicks , and in this way, a corner shallow kind. Most of the time these films convey the point that
ladies live happily ever after when they get the chance to discover intimate romance. Other Chick
Flicks introduce a solid female protagonist but, as the film advances the hero needs to change
herself of to adjust to her end goal to observe affection, to be recognized by her adoration intrigue,
or to fit into her partner s life. Most commonly the female protagonist is a stunningly beautiful
woman, who likewise happens to be blonde rather than a brunette, youthful, white and thin. Yet she
needs to have a blemish, which would make her more human and in this way, more relatable to lots
of people. 10 Things I Hate About Youis likely the most clear illustration. However she definitely
must be physically dazzling like all the female characters in the film, with a specific end goal to

Deficits are financed by borrowings that itself increase the debt. If the ratio debt to GDP gets too
high, investors will worry that the government will either default on this debt or will devaluate by
monetising its debt and in this way engineer a high inflation rate. According to the Maastricht
Treaty, the EU countries should not have a budget deficit higher than 3% of the GDP and a debt
higher than 60% of the GDP.
I.2.Overview the budget deficit in Viet Nam for the latest 5 years
Macroeconomic Report 2012 titled from macroeconomic instability to restructuring released by the
National Assembly s Economic Committee announced that Vietnam s state budget deficit and
public debts have increased rapidly.
The report (Figure 1 Annex) pointed out that the country has suffered constantly increasing the
state budget deficit for more than a decade. Particularly, the average state budget deficit
(excluding repayments for Vietnam s original debts) in the 2003 2007 period was only 1.3
percent of GDP, but this figure had more than doubled to 2.7 percent of GDP in the 2008 2012
period.
Especially in recent years, ongoing budget deficits have led to the rapid growth of public debt.
Vietnam s total public debts have increased from about 40 percent of GDP in late 2007 to 57
percent of GDP at the end of 2010 and only declined slightly in 2011. At the same time, Vietnam s
foreign debts have surged

King Lear s Wheel Comes Full Circle

person does an evil action,he often is rewarded with what was sought after as long as his plan

The efficacy of the treatment can be monitored by observing the blood pressure reading. However,
electrolyte disturbance is a common adverse effect of thiazide diuretics as it causes potassium
wasting. The frequency of hypokalemia depends on the frequency of administration, dose, diet, and
other pharmacologic agents used. During the first two weeks of therapy, electrolytes monitoring is
significant. Once a stable state is established, patients are not usually at risk of hypokalemia, unless
the dose is increased, extra renal losses of potassium increase, or dietary potassium is reduced.
Thiazide diuretics also can cause certain metabolic and endocrine abnormalities such as
hypochloremic alkalosis, hypercalcemia and hyponatremia. They can cause photosensitivity and
precipitate gout. Hence, it is important to monitor laboratory values periodically in patients on
diuretic therapy. The most common drug interactions are pharmacodynamic interactions resulting
from potassium depletion caused by the diuretics. Hypokalemia is a risk factor for arrhythmias, and
the risk is increased with concomitant therapy with antiarrhythmic agents that prolong the QT
interval independently of serum potassium concentration. Therefore, combinations of drugs that
can cause hypokalemia such as diuretics, and antiarrhythmic agents require vigilant monitoring of
potassium and appropriate replenishment.

The Declaration Of Independence By The United States
The setting of the Declaration of Independence was the United States. It was declared on July 4,

a document. The leaders who wrote the declaration. And what the colony was going through for it
to lead to the circumstances. One will look at how England was treating the colonies that made
them want to be their own Independent state. The declaration of Independence was the peoples

The Bloodless Revolution Of 1800
The Bloodless Revolution of 1800 was a very important event that shaped our nation into what it
is today. The Revolution changed America s history in major ways. The twelfth amendment was
created and the party divisions that we see today in our modern government are results of the
conflict. The revolution was also a test: could the young nation of America shift power peacefully,
as the founding father s had intended? Or would everything collapse after only one president
leading the country? The Bloodless Revolution of 1800 was an event that changed our nation s
history an ways of government in many important ways. But in order to understand fully the whole
effect this event had on our nation, we must look back a few years before 1800 to the Neutrality
Proclamation, the John Jay Treaty, X Y Z Affair, and the Quasi War.
George Washington, in his second term of office, issued the Neutrality Proclamation in an attempt to
ease the tension and conflict with Britain caused by The French Revolution. Thomas Jefferson,
being so disgusted with Washington s policies, resigned his secretarial position in May of 1793,
when the proclamation was announced. Despite Washington s attempt to fix the conflict, British
ships continued to confiscate American merchant ships because they, in an attempt to remain
neutral, continued to trade with both France and Britain. War soon broke out after that between the

Strategies In The Cold War
The Cold War began in the years 1945 1950 between the countries of the United States and the
Soviet Union. In the Cold War consisted of many different strategies that were used to intimidate or
scare the opponent. A few of these strategies consisted of using fear, the Arms Race, and the use of
Financial Aid. This was a war fought without using harmful machinery weapons.
In the Cold War fear was a big strategy that was used to scare the other country that they are
battling. In an excerpt from the Secretary of State Marshals speech it is trying to get you to fear
the outcome of poverty. In Europe it was going to be very common to lose your job, lose your
home, or even begin to starve to death. This began to scare people which is just what they want
to do so that people will feel bad and jump in to help. In the North American Treaty it is said that
armed forces will be used if it is completely necessary. If we feel threatened or as if there is no
other reasonable choice we will return the harmful threats right back to the U.S.S.R and try to make
our point see more stiff and threatening to show them that we mean business. This is only one of

The Analysis of Mozart s Dies Irae Essay
Megan Stewart
Theory III: MUSI 2311
Dr. Brian Bondari
December 13, 2010
The Analysis of Mozart s Dies Irae The final composition of Mozart, The Requiem mass in D
Minor, containing Dies Irae, is known to be one of his most powerful and commended works.
This piece was composed in 1791 while Mozart was, unfortunately, on his death bed. However, he
was unable to complete it so it was then passed on to his assistant and later finished by this man.
The choral work can be very dark, for it concerns the Day of Wrath, when God will return to this
earth and pass judgment on all creatures that remain, either granting them salvation or perpetual
damnation to hell. This theme alone provides one with fear, thus it can be assumed that even ...

embellish the regularity of the effect. However, in these two different cases, the chordsshift slightly,
as shown in measures 52 and 55, pictured below. V/IV I V6/5/IV IV Despite the fact that the V/IV
is basically a I7 chord, theory students of modern teachings have been taught that the chord after
the slash mark of the secondary dominant is where the secondary dominant will lead to. So,
creating a simple I chord in the figure above might be seen as a little misleading. His is seen as
more traditional in the sense of good music theory practice, but regarding that it is Mozart s
piece, it is safe to say that both will work just fine. Mozart likes to add color to his compositions
by also using Neapolitan chords. He effectively uses them as both a passing function as well as a
neighboring function. In the example provided above, Mozart cleanly exercises the passing rule
of the Neapolitan 6th chord. Refer to Figure 2, measures 36 and 37: D Minor: V7 i i N6 ( in
passing function) в—¦7 Mozart clearly integrates the Neapolitan chord correctly, in the practical
theory sense, and also very well in the application of the passing function. Although the

The Character of Richard III as Shakespeare Presents Him to Us
Shakespeare presents Richard to us in a very negative way. Richard is portrayed as an evil person
who is attracted to the power that the throne could bring him and would take whatever risk is
necessary. Driven by his need for power he manipulates and murders his way to the throne.
Richard shows himself as a manipulator right from the start of the play. He tricks Clarence and
makes him think that he has nothing to do with his arrest. But what s the matter Clarence? May I
know? Clarence is the first person that Richard manipulates in a long line of victims. Richard also

that, he takes his hatchet and cuts small pieces of bark. Then he piles them up under twigs. Then
he takes his hatchet and hits a rock with a great blow and sparks catch the bark on fire. He hits
another blow and the sparks catch the twigs on fire. Therefore, he has a fire. This process shows
that whatever Brian sets his mind to he can do it. About two months later Brian went to the

High Intensity Focused Ultrasound ( Hifu ) Therapy System,...
ABSTRACT In High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) therapy system, electrical impedance
matching networks should be used between the ultrasound transducer and signal generator in order
to maximize the electrical power transmission. Impedance matching networks are designed based
on LC resonant networks and that can be analyzed by analytical design theory and smith chart
design technique. Graphical method using smith chart is adapted to understand the concept. The
reflective power should be reduced after successfully matching the electrical circuit. However, the
problem with our case, HIFU transducer has been observed with significant amount of reflective
during LC matching network; that reflective power has to be reduced as much as possible. In order
to eliminate reflective power we tried transformer matching instead of LC network and we are
getting desired output. Even after that, we are getting slightly change over working resonance
frequency which is not optimum for highly focused ultrasound transducer application or any other
application. However, if we propose broadband matching network for transducer matching then we
can increase the range of working frequency and we can compensate that problem. To conclude,
transmission power can be increased by implementing broadband electrical matching networks. In
this paper, I discuss the characteristics and different applications of piezoelectric material and how
matching is an important to observe the behavior of

Advantages Of Instant Messaging
Introduction
Instant Messaging (IM) is a form of electronic communication, by which messages are transmitted
and received almost instantly across networks. As IM services are becoming more popular, more
people are now enjoying the convenience they brought. Apart from sending and receiving network
messages, some IM services also allow users to share hyperlinks to webpages, photos or other files
with others. This can be an alternative channel for spreading viruses and malicious codes.
Threats
Instant messaging networks provide the ability to not only transfer text messages, but also the
transfer of files. Consequently, instant messengers can transfer worms and other malware. Instant
messengers can also provide an access point for backdoor trojan horses. Hackers can use instant
messaging to gain backdoor access to computers without opening a listening port, effectively
bypassing desktop and perimeter firewall implementations. Furthermore, finding victims doesn t
require scanning unknown IP addresses, but rather simply selecting from an updated directory of
buddy lists. In addition to client initiated file transfers, all the major instant messaging networks
support peer to peer file sharing where one can share a directory or drive. This means that all the
files on a computer can be shared using ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Furthermore, the major instant messaging networks still use proprietary protocols so that a worm
that spreads via one service, such as MSN Messenger, will not affect users of another service, such
as Yahoo! Messenger. However, this does not mean one can disregard the threat that instant
messaging poses. As we have seen, there are already worms in the wild that spread via instant
messaging. And If clients become interoperable, or users primarily utilize one network, instant
messaging worms may become more

Rites Of Passage In The Glass Castle
As we grow older, we develop by passing through the rites of passages. These rites are commonly
portrayed in literary works and in movies. An example of a work that contains the rites of passage
would be The Glass Castle, by Jeannette Walls. This book is a memoir about her life as a child
with parents who could never settle down. She worked herself from the bottom up, and continues to
strive as a published author and journalist. Although The Glass Castle, by Jeannette Walls, contains
many rites of passage, the three most prominent would be loss, risk taking, and achieving a goal. In
her memoir, Jeannette struggled with loss because of her familys lifestyle. As Jeanette put it, on
page 19, We were always doing the skedaddle . . . The Walls constantly moved to avoid police
and the idea of settling down. When moving, the family usually moved to remote locations,
working odd jobs for money. Another example of of loss in Jeannette s life is when her parents
threw her cat out of the car. Her mother claimed, Cat s don t like travel, on page 18. Jeannette
said, [My father] stopped the car, grabbed Quixote by the scruff of the neck, and tossed him out
the window. Her father sped up the car and drove off, leaving the cat in the dust behind them. In
addition to the lossof her cat, Jeannette s grandmother passed away. Although, Jeannette was not
very close to her grandmother, she mourned the loss of her family member. Although loss is

How Consciousness Can Be Changed Essay
Consciousness is only possible through change; change is only possible through movement. Aldous
Huxley
In order to understand how consciousness can be changed, we first had to learn what consciousness
is and where it resides, if anywhere specific. For instance, some theories state consciousness
resides within the visual hierarchy system, while others pinpoint its location to a specific brain
structure known as the claustrum. Even still, researchers debate on whether consciousness, or the
state of being aware of oneself, even has a home at all. It is possible it is just the workings of
many brain structures or neurons working together, something more of a product than a
mechanism on its own. Regardless if there is agreement on how to define consciousness or self
consciousness and where it derives from, all can agree that various methods in life have the
possibility to change one s conscious state.
Many activities in life, both accidental and intentional, lead to changes in conscious states.
Activities such as paranormal encounterances, drugs, sleep, imagination, meditation, religion, and
big or stressful life events all have the capability alter one s conscious. Throughout this section, we
have discovered many things that can alter one s state of consciousness or awareness. Acts such as
drinking alcohol or taking drugs will, depending on the substance, inhibit or increase your
awareness of your surroundings. Major events such as traumatic happenings or occurrences

Assisted Suicide Speech
Some people think that assisted suicide should be legal and some people think it should not be
legal. This issue is serious because if the Supreme Court does change the law and make it legal
then people will use assisted suicide as an excuse to get help in ending their lives. Our views as a
society have not changed because we still think killing someone is murder and when someone is
killed we think that person should be put in jail. So if society thinks people should not commit
murder then what is the difference between murder and assisted suicide? There isn t one. Yes when

If Canadians know that it is against the law to assist in someone s suicide why do they do it
anyway? If the law is changed then more people will go and assist someone in killing
themselves. If a person wants to kill themselves then they are obviously in a bad state of mind.
Section 7 of the Charter is supposed to make everyone feel secure. So instead of letting that
person commit suicide we should protect that person and get that person help, whether it be
getting them some sort of therapy or getting that person medication to keep them feeling better
for that period of time. Many Canadians are charged for helping someone ill or someone they
love die. Marielle Houlle, for example, is a lady that was sentenced to get three years probation by a
Quebec court in 2004 because she helped her 36 year old son, who was in pain from multiple
sclerosis, end his life (CBC, 2014). Another one of my concerns with assisted suicide is that
some people might use it as a cover up for killing another person. If a person shoots someone and
ends another their life that person can serve up to 14 years in prison. Yet this lady only gets 3
years probation for ending her sons life. This was a controversial decision as it was not
considered fair by many people. The law should just stay the same and anyone who kills someone
else should get an appropriate

The Relationship Between Sadism And Its Effects On Children
Sadism is defined as the derivation of sexual pleasure from the infliction of pain, suffering and
/or humiliation upon another person. The pain and suffering of the victim, which may be both
physical and psychological, is pivotal to the sexual arousal and pleasure. According to Bernard
(1933) sadism hence represents a pathological intensification of the masculine mental character.
Characteristics of sadism according to DSM IV (2000) is as follows: having over a period of at
least 6 months, recurrent, intense sexually arousing fantasies, sexual urges, or behaviors
involving acts (real, not simulated) in which the psychological or physical suffering including
humiliation of the victim is sexually exciting to the person, as well as the person has acted on
these urges with a non consenting person, or the sexual urges or fantasies cause marked distress
or interpersonal difficulty. Introduction Sexual sadism is noticed primarily in males and generally
starts with puberty, in spite of the fact that sadistic behavior may be manifested prematurely in
children. In all male cases, it becomes obvious by early adulthood. According to Hucker (2009),
sexual sadism may start off with fantasies and, in some cases, these may never be acted upon or, be
acted out in the more mild forms of consensual relationships. In non consensual cases, the behavior
usually continues and often escalates over time as the perpetrator experiences a need for increased
violence in order to stimulate the

Power, religion, and fear drive people in strange ways. Acting from any one of these motivators
could make a person turn to anyone for a solution; even if that solution goes against their morals.
In William Golding s novel The Lord of the Flies young british boys are stranded on an island after
their plane crashes. Terrified of a beast lurking in the shadows, and with no rules, structure, or

in a grocery store when a mysterious fog sweeps over their town. With brutal beasts waiting

Psoriasis
Psoriasis is a chronic skin disorder, easily identified by its symptoms of white, scaly skin and red

body can shed them, causing a buildup. Although there are many theories as to what the cause of
such a disease might be В– genetics, stress, or other triggers В– no one is quite sure why the
disease occurs, or what could be a possible way to fully cure it. In this essay we will explore the

noticeable; the entire body is often covered with a fiery redness. This type also poses severe

the biggest triggers. This has been named the Koebner response. Any type of skin injury can set it

Impact Of Technology On Communication
The impact of technology in communication
Communication and technology have been evolving together throughout the years. Where we had
the chance to witness the latest technology developments that resulted in the advancement of the
communication on a professional and a personal level. But as technology grows and advances step
by step so does its impact on the way individuals and society communicates.
There are various types of communication in today s world where technology is embedded and
manifest in all of them without us feeling it as a pervasive and hankering presence. Most used
among these are verbal, non verbal and visual communication. Verbal communication refers to the
spoken word. The information is transmitted through a verbal medium like words, speeches,
presentations and more. For instance, in educational institutions and professional organizations,
individuals communicate verbally with each other through dialogues, lecture, presentations,
discussions and even conversation. The clarity of the message conveyed cannot be achieved
unless the message is well spoken and concise, unambiguous and definite. Slowly and gradually
technology is pervading and conquering our daily lives. With verbal communication being
substituted by technological interface people are being more involved in the virtual and digital
world than being present in the real world. According to Emily Drago ( EJSPRING 15) in a study

grew its follower count by nearly 250,000 subscribers in just the fourth quarter of 2015, nearly
matching its growth for the entirety of 2013 in just three months (McCullough, 2016). Silberbauer
and LEGO have been able to accomplish this growth for a variety of reasons. Most notably,
however, is LEGO s ability to provide content that is relevant to the social needs of consumers
through Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, as well as its focus on using user generated contentto
increase its reach through creative campaigns and innovative technologies.
One of Silberbauer s first campaigns at LEGO was a 2012 Christmas campaign that encouraged
consumers to create family moments with Lego characters. Families from 119 different countries
posted pictures on social media where those photos were liked , shared and retweeted thousands

Introduction To Invertebrate Palaeontology
In his book, Understanding fossils: an introduction to invertebrate palaeontology, Peter Doyle writes
this about the ongoing, and continuing formation of layers of the Earth:
The bodies of countless millions of organisms, microscopic and macroscopic, form whole rocks;
the invaders of the land, plants and animals, have helped shape the landscape by both accelerating
and reducing erosion.
Doyle gives an introduction to the beginnings of two scientific areas of study by explaining the
work of a Danish doctor. He explains that palaeontology has its roots in two subjects, geology and
biology. A Danish physician Niels Stensen, also known as Steno, who lived from 1638 1638, is
arguably credited with originating geology and paleontology. Discovering that sharks teeth found in

especially that of the current day youth. The poem, apart from being a good read, is a very apt
description of how young people tend to go about their lives these days mostly bored, slightly
mechanical in outlook, wanting to do more but failing to go noticed as more than a mere cog in the
machine that s life.
The poem bases itself on the themes of escape, boredom, and restlessness and in doing so it quite
aptly portrays how dissatisfying out general attitude towards life is, and how it is quite obvious
why we seem to crave for more meaning in our daily routines.
The poem however does this in a clever way through the dialogue. The feeling ... Show more

And this tendency towards escapism is exactly what this poem describes. The attitude that we can
have toward our duties or our work because we are doing it not out of love, but out of some weird
obligation we feel towards satisfying the expectations of our societies; the attitude where we just
want to throw up our hands at times and take a moment away from the hustle and bustle of our fast
paces lives and do something for ourselves in the selfish interest of happiness is something that the
poem very poignantly points out.
The sense of all pervasive boredom is also something that comes across to the reader very
effectively. The fact that today s youth all hate home (not because we actually hate it, but because
we take the comfort we get for granted) is something that cannot be ignored. And this is not just true
for our homes but for everything that has been made available to us. In being enabled with most
things, we often forget the true value of the objects that make up our known surroundings, and this
unfortunately is the bitter truth that the poem subtly comments

What Literacy Means To Me Analysis
What literacy means to you and me is not what literacy means to some other people in the world.
From our perspective, literacy is of the utmost importance. This is the case with most places in
the 21st century. It is essential for our schooling because of how much we need to read and write
on a daily basis, but once you move to the workplace, I believe that literacyis relative. More than
that, I assert that it is individually relative to every single person in the world. There is no longer a
clear and definitive definition of literacy.
We are a part of the Digital Literacy Initiative. We are direct evidence that the term literacy has
moved beyond the ability to read and write. There is now Digital Literacy, Computer Literacy,
Cultural Literacy, Political Literacy, and many... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
How far does their literacy go? It would be unwise to generalize a group of people, so for the
purpose of my argument, I will create a character that is likely to exist. A rice farmer from
Bangladesh, my country of heritage, receives a book from a tourist. The tourist comes from a
place of higher education, so he or she thinks that this gift is meaningful. Instead, the farmer
politely declines the gift much to the confusion of the tourist. He explains to the tourist that he does
not have a use for it because he does not have a proficient amount of reading skills. The tourist then
counters him by saying that reading is a great pleasure and that he should try to learn so he
could enjoy simple things like a novel. This is easy to say for the tourist to say because he lives a
different life than the farmer, but the farmer s literacy has a cap that he is happy and functional
with. The farmer can read things like farming equipment, seeds, produce and can do basic
arithmetic like addition, subtraction, and perhaps multiplication. The farmer s literacy provides the
life he wants because with his skills, he can run his farm and provide for his

METHODOLOGY 3.1 INTRODUCTION These chapters discuss the process and method that
used in this study. The research involved find the problem parameters to be investigate, choosing
and applying the selected sensor for data collection, analyzing and find the final result. It should
be design and made precisely to get an accurate data. This is very important in order to achieve
the goals and objective of the research. This research study was conducted based on the
methodology. This methodology plays an important role in implementing this research study
accordingly. The details of the methodology are explained in detail in this chapter. 3.2STUDY
DESIGN The study design is important because it determines the success or failure of research.
This study design guides the arrangement for the collection and analysis of data so that the
conclusion can be drawn. Study design is a detailed plan of how a research study is to be
conducted. To conduct this study, the implementation process is divided into four stages:
3.2.1Identifying problems The process before research is must identify the problem. The objective
of the study can be determined from the problems that have already identified. For this study, the
collection of data from sensor that already installed on test car is to find the driver behavior as
road user that carried out at the different road destination. The test is conduct based on different
parameters. The sensor that might be used is GPS sensor,

Children s Emergent Literacy Development
The type of (HLE) a child is in can significantly impacts a child s emergent literacy development.
(Senechal, Lefevre, Thomas , Daley, 1996; Sawyer, et al., 2014; SГ©nГ©chal LeFevre, 2002;
Senechal LaFevre, 2014). HLE is defined by the frequency of storybook reading and literacy
teaching during book reading(Sawyer, et al., 2014, p. 65). SГ©nГ©chal LeFevre (2002 2014)
conducted a study to prove that a positive and helpful HLE aids in children s emergent literacy.
The Home Literacy Model used proved the original hypothesis. There was a statistically
significant predictor of parent s creating a positive HLE and frequency of shared book reading
that positively correlated to the child s literacy abilities for the beginning of grade 1. Shared
book reading comprises 4% of the significant differences with the child s vocabulary. The formal
literacy measures presented by the parents like, actively listening to the child read and the
method the parent uses to teach, was deemed most helpful as a predictor for the child s reading
abilities by the end of grade 1. The study concluded that a positive HLE promoted growth within
the child s vocabulary and word reading skills (SГ©nГ©chal LeFevre, 2002; Senechal LaFevre,
2014).
Important factors that contribute to a positive HLEs to children with emerging literacy vary.
Typical predictors of high quality HLE are seen through the number of children books in the home,
the amount of library visits attended with the child, the

The Importance Of Historical Aspects Of Death And Dying
The Importance of Historical Aspects of Death and Dying for Nurses The field of nursing has
always been one with constant evolution. From the early days on the battlefields, farms and homes
to current events that occur in the hospital, nursing has always had challenges to face. Death and
dying, in particular, has evolved from private settings to publicly passing away in a hospital or
nursing home. This paper will focus on defining and discussing the historical aspects of deathand
dying, presenting the current functions and roles of the hospicenurse, why it is important for nurses
to know this valuable information and how this knowledge shapes the future of nursing.
Past History of Nursing and Definitions It is necessary to define and discuss the history, in
particular, the American experience of dying and death. The United States (US) has not always
had hospitals for which the ill and dying go to be cared for. Prior to the civil war, death was
considered a private matter (Leming Dickinson, 2016). The only indication a person passed
away was the tolling of the church bells or the symbolic gravestone on a family s property.
Weatherford (2010) states that the Civil War and the contributions from Clara Barton, initiated a
standard of care as well as a central location for delivering care. Before hospitals were common in
the US, one hundred percent of patient care was performed at the home or on the battlefield. Wives
and mistresses of the soldiers followed the camps

Social Reformers Support Prohibition
The eighteenth amendment established prohibition, which was the banning of the manufacturing
and sale of alcohol. Interestingly, prohibition caused many different and unintended consequences
for America. When the eighteenth amendment was established, many people supported prohibition
because of the social benefits. The Church supported prohibition because many Christians saw
drinking as a sin. Many business men supported prohibition, because this would reduce the amount
of absences at work and would increase production and efficiency. Furthermore, many social
reformers supported prohibition, since it would benefit the family unit. Since fathers would not be
drinking, this would allow more money to be spent on necessities, and would reduce

The Negro Speaks Of Rivers
Langston Hughes was an American poet, novelist, and playwright whose African American themes
names him a primary contributor to the Harlem Renaissance of the 1920s. After moving from
several cities, Hughes and his mother finally settled in Cleveland, Ohio. During this time, Hughes
began to write poetry. One of his teachers introduced him to the poetry of Carl Sandburg and Walt
Whitman, both whom Hughes would later cite as primary influences.
By the time Hughes was enrolled at Columbia University in New York, he had already launched
his literary career with his poem The Negro Speaks of Rivers in the Crisis, edited by W.E.B.
DuBois. He also committed himself to writing mainly about African Americans. Leaving Columbia
in 1922, Hughes spent the next three years in a succession of menial jobs and traveling abroad. He
returned in late 1924, but by then he was well known in African Americanliterary circles as a
gifted young poet. Early on he was heavily influenced by the works of Walt Whitman and Carl
Sandburg. Black poets Paul Laurence Dunbar, a master of both dialect and standard verse, and
Claude McKay, a radical socialist who also wrote accomplished lyric poetry influenced Hughes as
well. However, Sandburg, who Hughes later called my guiding star, was decisive in leading him
toward free verse a radically democratic modernist aesthetic.
Langston Hughes rose to prominence during the Harlem Renaissance. His first two books, The
Weary Blues (1926) and Fine Clothes to the

Women s Rights At Meriwether Lewis And William Clark
Throughout history there have been many honorable mentions of women all over the world,
from Abigail Adams to Margaret Mead. For example, look at Meriwether Lewis and William
Clark; history talks about their expedition across the Louisiana Territory and how they helped
expand America, but in truth it was really Sacagawea s expedition. If Lewis and Clark had gone
by themselves they would have gotten lost, died of disease or killed by Indian tribes, however
because of Sacagawea s knowledge of the land, plants and surrounding Indian tribes the expedition
went good. How did this Native American womanhave all this knowledge? The answer is simple,
she learned all of this from her parents. Since Sacagawea s parents took the time to teach her...

The second one I chose to write about was Susan B. Anthony because of how she was raised to
stand up for her beliefs about men and women being equal. The last one I chose to write about
was Helen Keller because even though her parents did not raise her, she had an amazing and kind
caretaker named Anne Sullivan that showed her that even though she was deaf and blind she
could change the world for the better. These women have rightfully earned their spots in history
and should be praised for the sacrifices they made to make America a better place for slaves,
women and the disabled.
Sojourner Truth
During the late seventeenth century if a person was not a land owning single white male, they
were treated horrible. This left women and slaves to be at the bottom of the totem pole. Now
imagine being a woman born into slavery, this would put the woman even lower on the pole; close
to being equal with dirt. However, this did not stop Sojourner Truth from fighting for women s
rights and being an abolitionist.
Nell Painter, author of Sojourner Truth: A Life, A Symbol writes about Sojourner Truth s life and
how she was used as a symbol for various movements. Painter shows how religion was a major
point in Truth s ministry about how slaves and women should be treated fairly and equal to men. In
Painter s book, she writes about how Truth gained fame from the Akronwomen s rights conference
because of her giving her speech, Dat man over dar say dat woman needs to be helped into

Analysis Of Fences By August Wilson
The Future is in Your Hands.
Children grow up naturally emulating the adults around them, for most it is their mother and
father, this is natural and typically a positive thing. There are times, however, when the people
that children emulate are not the best examples society has to offer. In the play Fences Cory
looks up to his dad when it comes to sports. However, by the end of the play the reader starts to
notice that Troy is not the man to look up to. The plot in Fences by August Wilsonis centered
around an African Americanfamily that looks at the world a little differently by that I mean when
Troy was young people believed blacks shouldn t be able to do the things whites can. People
were rude and outspoken about how they felt when it came to sharing public things with blacks.
Now Troy s sons are living in a world that has evolved and is not as racist, the boys can go out
and achieve their dreams, even if they are African American it may be difficult but is still
achievable. Because of the change in the way of life there has been a conflict between the two
boys and their father. Troy may realize that things are different now, but that doesn t change the
fact that it is hard for him to let go of the past. Because Troy was unable to play baseball based on
his race, he believes Cory shouldn t be able to go on and play college football. This raises a big
question, is Troy being unfair or is he trying to look out for his son? The main theme throughout the
play Fences is

What s Wrong With Gay Marriage Summary
I do. These simply words have such a concise, yet profound message. Recently homosexual
marriage has been a constantly debated issue. In What s Wrong with Gay Marriage? Katha Pollitt
defends the controversial decision with logic and reason. On the other hand, author Charles Colson
writes in Gay Marriage: Societal Suicide that the very acceptance of same sex marriageis the
beginning of the end of traditional American society. While the essays have contrasting views, both
authors relay their messages eloquently and stir thought provoking discussions over one of the most
decisive issues in modern America.
Pollitt uses a series of analogies to convey that there is no substantial issue with permitting same
sex marriage. Furthermore, the comparisons she presents strengthen her argument and defend
against possible counter arguments. She attacks the notion of preventing homosexual marriage on
the grounds of procreation and claims that the very idea is impractical. The law allows married
couples to use birth control, to get sterilized, to be celibate (Pollitt 530). If marriages do not have
to be based on ability to reproduce, then two individuals of the same gender ... Show more content

The sole argument made against gay marriage is that permitting it would cause the destruction of
the society American culture has grown accustomed to. He argues that lack of the traditional

He claims that children from broken homes ... are nearly twice as likely to drop out of high
school (Colson 535). However, the facts cited point to lack of a father or mother figure and say
nothing about the detriments of a child being raised by parents of the same sex. Colson attempts to
use facts to support his thesis, but they are used sparingly and do not directly support his

Tasmanian Tiger Research Paper
THE TASMANIAN TIGER (Thylacinus cynocephalus)
On April 25,1857 I Riley J Petersen found a species man has never seen before. I was off the coast
of Australia, on an island called Tasmania. At first I thought I had stumbled across a pack of wild
dogs, but as I got closer I realized that these are no dog.
Description
The species seems to be dog but it had the stripes of a tiger on its rear end. Picture a animal with the
body of a large dog with a stiff rodent like tail. The head of a wolf, the pouch of a kangaroo, and
black stripes like a tiger. This creature is about six feet long and seems vicious. I believe that this
species is harmless when it first noticed me it just ran away like
a scared little girl. This creature has yellowish fur. I have named this species the Tasmanian Tiger or
Thylacinus cynocephalus. The height of the Tasmanian Tiger is about 24 inches tall. The part about
my discovery of this animal is that

A Report On The City Of Pakistan
After gazing on Mughal monuments and feeling the beat of pounding drums at Sufi shrines in
Lahore, many travelers choose to head south to Pakistan s financial capital, Karahi for some fun in
the sun, upscale nightclubs, and modern skyscrapers. From rambling through the ramparts of Old
Lahore to an all night beach rave in Karachi, you might be in for a culture shock, but here s how to
get there. Train The cheapest option is the train. The Fareed Express #38DN leaves Lahore
every morning at 10:00am and arrives in Karachi at 12:35pm the next day. That means your
train journey will be at least 26 1/2 hours if the train is running on time. Trains in Pakistan are
not known to be exceptionally punctual or safe. There are 5 possible classes for this train,
including the full berth AC class for 1810 rupees ($23), the full berth EC (Economy) for 790
rupees ($10), a full seat in economy for 710 rupees ($8.90), a half berth for 480 rupees ($6) and
a half seat for 400 rupees ($5). Sitting on half of a seat for 26 hours is certainly not the most
comfortable way to travel to Karachi, but it is the cheapest. To see fares, timetables, and
addresses of booking agents, you can check out Pakistan Railways online. Tickets are usually
booked through a travel agent in order to avoid the inevitable chaos on the station. Bus A safer,
more comfortable, and faster option is to the take the bus. There are many different bus companies
that ply the route from Lahore to Karachi, but Daewoo is by

Environmental Conservation in Tampa Bay
Give a hoot, don t pollute! This slogan was popular in the 1970 s when a cute animated owl named
Woodsy the Owl was introduced on television in a public service announcement by the U. S.
Forestry service in an antilitter campaign. Don t be a dirty bird was an additional slogan associated
with this cute character to grab the attention of children as well as adults, to inform the public to
not litter. Taught from an early age the importance of a clean environment, it has been a goal
throughout my life to protect natural resources, and the importance of protecting the environment
has been taught to my child as well. The basic principles of conservation of the environment are
simple: protect the air, land, and water resources. Conservation refers to actions that aim to protect
natural environments from present and future change. For example, nature conservancies purchase
land that is deemed to be at risk in order to prevent exploitation of the area for residential, industrial,
or agricultural development ( Conservation, 2009). Environmental conservation in the TampaBay
area carries a great importance because of our natural resources with estuaries for wildlife and the
aquifer, which supplies clean water to residents in the area. Tampa Bay residents interested in
environmental conservation, have access to a variety of

Description Of An 11th Birthday Party
My 11th Birthday Party
Here I go, Splash! That was an epic cannonball. I was so excited when my 11th birthday rolled
around. I woke up, scrambled up the stairs and yelled everyone in the car NOW! We have a party
to get too. When we first got to the campsite at Yogi Bear, I got my bathing suit on and jumped in
the lake. When my friend, Harper, showed up we both got on the lake then we went to the
JUMPING PILLOWS! I love the jumping pillows although I did get banned from them when we
left because I was doing FLIPS! Oops. Finally, Karlie showed up eventually we all went to the
jumping pillows and jumped around with these boys that at first looked pretty cute but were
real jerks. After we got back we went swimming in the lake and my mom said that I had to help set
up our tents before I could do anything so she was sort of a fun killer. I got out of the water to help
my mom when my mom gave me a pack of water balloons which of course we blew up to throw at
people.
I had invited one of my other friends, Elly she showed up after Karlie did. When all my friends
were there I finally go to open PRESENTS! I was so excited to open my present I could have
died from an excitement overdose. Everything became fuzzy and started spinning CanT bReaTh I
m just kidding but trust me it would have been bad. I vastly started tearing away at the gift wrap to
get to the good stuff it was like I was trying to get to Narnia.

Examples Of Rivalry In One Flew Over The Cuckoo s Nest
Have you ever had a controversial conflict or rivalry with another person? If so, the end of that
conflict or rivalry probably does not have a clear definite winner; however, In the novel One

Patrick McMurphy, had an intensive rivalry with each other, but there was a clear winner in that:
McMurphy has won. McMurphy was ultimately the victor in his long rivalry with McMurphy
because of the support of his followers the patients, the patients were able to escape from evil
(Nurse Ratched), and McMurphy had his long term goal was met while the Nurse s failed to meet.

you haven t got the guts just to walk out? What do you think you are for Christ sake, crazy or
something? Well, you re not! You re not! You re no crazier than the average asshole out walking

thinks is best for all the patients and that is freedom. Furthermore, the patients were able to follow
upon McMurphy s goal to escape from the Nurse and made him and the patients winners over the
Nurse because they got what they were looking for which is freedom. Finally, McMurphy s long
term goal was met while Nurse Ratched s long term goal failed to meet her expectations. For
comparison, McMurphy s goal since getting into the hospital was to ensure every patient got their
share and freedom including him because he believes they were all capable of integrating back
into society; Nurse Ratched s goal was to isolate McMurphy and the patients to prevent them from
achieving freedom back into society. In addition, she was

candidate that they think will best serve their needs. New Jersey s Constitution includes that these
general elections shall be held annually on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November
also, the time of holding such elections may be altered by law. Currently there are two candidates,
Kim Guadagnowho is on the Republican side and Phil Murphy who stands on the Democratic side.
Both candidates have contradictory perspectives on topics that are spoken about during the
debates. I believe Phil Murphy is the best candidate due to his promising ideas on controversial

This demonstrates Murphy s initiative in fixing the economy through various beneficial solutions.
Doing so he will be helping the people of New Jersey by lowering property taxes, which
individuals can finally be relieved to hear. Murphy also wants to be more strict with spending on
transit to ensure that the roads and bridges are functional rather than crowded with tolls.
Personally, I think this is very efficient because these two factors make New Jersey very
expensive to live in and by lowering taxes and being more strict with transit the economy can
steadily progress to a stable point. Murphy wants to grow the economy due to the state being
ranked last or near last in growth and inequalities. He states, We need an economy that works for
all New Jerseyans not just the special interests, I flat out reject the us versus them approach to
our economy, it is time we get back to thinking about we (Phil Murphy). Murphy wants to achieve
this by raising the wage to $15 an hour, ensure equal pay for equal work, and make millionaires
and corporations pay their fair share of taxes. If this is successful then the economic standing that
New Jersey holds will soon exponentially rise to the top. At the same time, Murphy wants to fix the
economy so that more is invested in schools, family care and the elimination of poverty. Along with
this Murphy also

  • 3. Undertale Essay Game Analysis: Undertale (2015) In Undertale the combat system is very unique in comparison to other games by being a mix of a Shoot em up game and a turn based RPG. Once a player enters combat through a random encounter in the overworld they are greeted with a screen showing the enemies sprite and at the bottom of the screen 4 different options for them to pick; fight, act, item and mercy. Once it is the enemy s turn to attack the player A box will appear with a player controlled heart symbol in the centre, then different things will appear in the box that the player must avoid or they will take damage. If the player chooses the fight command they will be shown a bar at the bottom of the screen with a bar moving across the screen. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The game has a simple pixel art style which works quite well as it is meant to resemble a game that would be for the NES or SNES. The characters in battle are always in black and white with a simple black background which as a design choice works quite well as it doesn t distract the player from dodging the enemies attacks and makes sure there s no way they can mistake any background element for an attack they must dodge. The enemy designs in the game are very unique and interesting, often representing some kind of character trope, for example there is an enemy in the game named Aaron that is a horse with a mermaid s tail that is obsessed with his muscles. When Aaron attacks the player, the player must move out of the way from 2 arms on the side of the box that come up from the bottom. Every monster in the game has specialised attacks like this, for example there is an enemy that has an obsession with cleaning and his attack is water droplets flowing out from the middle of the screen that the player has to avoid. This is a good design decision as it adds depth and intrigue to the characters in an extremely simple way which will make the player interested to see what other attacks the monsters ... • 4. The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Admission to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in Cleveland, has been postponed for the current week, apparently so Republican National Convention goers can unreservedly visit the Louder Than Words: Rock, Power, and Politics show shortly possessing its upper floors. This appears like a smart thought. For quite a long time, Republican crusades have profoundly misjudged, regularly in clever ways, the most developmental and vital belief systems of rock music, as prove by their unending avoiding of restraining requests from performers who don t need their dissident hollers related, even incidentally, with preservationist motivation. Now and again I get a kick out of the chance to envision that there is a solitary chuckling, since quite a while ago haired d.j. in charge of the most recent forty years of walkout music disasters. He appreciates a solid toke and a snicker. Only he prompted up Conceived in the U.S.A. (an against war melody) for Ronald Reagan or This Land Is My Land (a tune that mourns disparity) for George H. W. Hedge. This year, he picked Aerosmith s Fantasy On, a substantial, spiraling tune about death that Donald Trump in the long run needed to quit utilizing in light of the fact that the band more than once whined. It showed how the brothers developed their own airplane that was talked about around the world. It showed the math, science, and mechanics that went into building the first plane. This book would interest math teachers, science teachers, engineers, pilots, and whomever is interested in planes. This book was published in 2016, but was written over things that happened in that start of the twentieth century. The events that take place happened a little over one hundred years ago which was not a long time ago. David McCullough wrote The Wright Brothers to tell the story of how the airplane was invented. They were all different shapes and sizes and were hammered in different directions in the tunnel of the contraption. The brothers tested around thirty eight wing surfaces which showed Orville and Wilbur how to construct the wings. This was a huge turning point for the two brothers because no men had studied the science of flight that tediously or with such courage. In the second part of the book, the brothers wanted to add an engine to their aircraft. Wilbur and Orville sent out letters to companies that manufacture car engines. They asked for engines that they could have off the shelf that was light in weight but had great power. Charlie Taylor, a man who helped the Wright Brother s project, helped them build an engine for the aircraft. It had four cylinders and delivered around eight horsepower. The movie is a western version of King Leer and catered to a younger audience. King of Texas is based in Texas when Texas was an independent country. John Leer, played by Patrick Stewart, is a man who owns a large ranch in Texas. Instead of being rivals with the French his main competition is a Mexican ranch owner to his south. Leer has three daughters, Suzannah, Rebecca, and Claudia, and wants to break up his land between them before he dies. He gives each daughter a chance to tell him how much they love him. When the two older daughters give him flattering answers he in return gives them large portions of his ranch. When his youngest daughter says she can not explain to him how much she loves him, Leer becomes enraged and disowns her. This is the same as when King Leer breaks up his kingdom in Britain. The technical aspect of the movie matches the story well. The site where the movie was shot gives the impression that Leer s ranch is the largest and most important in Texas. Most established (advanced) countries have a universal healthcare program, which means accessibility to every citizen. This issue had been discussed for years during the Depression and World War II the United Stateshad no funds to implement the universal healthcare. • 10. Saltwater Effects On The Wetlands Saltwater Effects on the Wetlands In John Grisham s The Pelican Brief, He brings up oil and gas companies drilling in the wetlands, which is destroying them, and I decided to investigate further about how these companies have been damaging the environment. The main way that the wetlands are being killed is from the salt water that is intruding into the marshes from the canals, that gas and oil companies use, are the way that most salt water gets so deep inside the wetlands (Barnowski). Oil and gas companies are always trying to build more canals to invade different areas of the wetlands when they find different reserves of oil and gas just like Victor Mattiece was in the Pelican Brief. When they build more canals, The wetlands soil starts... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The state s many salt water lakes were once extensions of the sea that become cut off by ridges of sand or deposits of silt (Colten). This basically means that there are salt marshes that were already in the wetlands and that weren t hurting anything. They are just there because the Mississippi pulled silt or sand down to the ocean and it built up to create salt water marshes and then plants that could handle the salt water grew and salt water creatures also started to inhabit the area. The marshes that were just extensions of the ocean are harmless to the wetlands but when canals bring in salt water they damage the other marshes that aren t supposed to have salt in them. When salt water invades the freshwater marshes, the plants start dying off because the plants can t live in the salty conditions. The fewer plants that are in the wetlands the more unstable the soil is because the plants root systems hold much of the land together (Barnowski). The loose soil is then more easily eroded, which connects the vicious circle of erosion and plant loss (Barnowski). The higher amount of plants that die off by the salt water will cause Louisiana to lose larger portions of its wetlands. We are already losing about 35 square miles of the coastal land due to erosion annually (Colten). The salt water doesn t only kill the plant life in the marshes, it starves the animals living in those marshes as well. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

We don t go to French restaurants on a student budget because almost anything with the word French attached to it is a tad bit overpriced. When I think of enjoying French food, I think of men having to wear pressed suits and women donning their glamorous dresses and high heels, then they need to have powdered noses and carefully coiffed hair before being served food in very large plates but with tiny portions. It s a cuisine of the elite but for something so highly regarded it s ironic that French food isn t too much known compared to what people know of Italian food. To be honest I was a bit overwhelmed when we started learning about French food thinking that it would really be difficult to grasp, and the terms were so hard to pronounce, it was that one time that I realized a little too late that hors d oeuvres weren t even pronounced as horse devours. A Brief History Of The Greenock Steamship Appendix 5 A Brief History of the Greenock Steamship Company, the Gulf Line Association, and their Ships THE TOWN OF GREENOCK lies on the south banks of the River Clyde where it enters the Firth of Clyde. Historically it had largely been a fishing town, but the construction of a harbour in 1714 marked the be ginning of its transformation into one of the key ports on the Clyde. Throughout the 18th and early 19th centuries, a large fleet of sailing ships came to call Greenock home. Though she still bore sails, Archimedes was the world s first screw propelled steamship. Built in 1839 in Britain, she had considerable influence on the development of ships and shipping in the years to come. Despite the advances in steam technology, however, sailing ships continued to dominate the world s oceans for many years to come. Unlike steamers they did not depend on the availability of coal and were simply much cheaper to run. This was particularly evident in voyages to the Far East, reached from Europe via the Cape of Good Hope at Africa s south ern tip and from America across the Indian Ocean. This changed in 1869 with the opening of the Suez Canal. As a result of this, the Far East and Australia were opened up to steamers bearing passengers and mail from the Europe. But the effects of such developments were not immediate. The continued dominance of sail was obvious nowhere better than in Greenock. When the Suez Canal opened in 1869, only seven of the 182 or so Greenock registered ships listed in that year s Post Officer Directory were steamers. In the subsequent years, the registration of additional sail ing ships by Greenock shipowners consistently outnumbered the addition of new steamers. One such syndicate of shipowners was William Lindsay and Com pany. The company had long been involved ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It implies that films having female characters are appealing just to women spectators, and films with men, as protagonists are more commonly considered as widespread, while those who have bunches of ladies in them are so called Chick Flicks , and in this way, a corner shallow kind. Most of the time these films convey the point that ladies live happily ever after when they get the chance to discover intimate romance. Other Chick Flicks introduce a solid female protagonist but, as the film advances the hero needs to change herself of to adjust to her end goal to observe affection, to be recognized by her adoration intrigue, or to fit into her partner s life. Most commonly the female protagonist is a stunningly beautiful woman, who likewise happens to be blonde rather than a brunette, youthful, white and thin. Yet she needs to have a blemish, which would make her more human and in this way, more relatable to lots of people. 10 Things I Hate About Youis likely the most clear illustration. However she definitely must be physically dazzling like all the female characters in the film, with a specific end goal to keep the present magnificence ongoing. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

If the ratio debt to GDP gets too high, investors will worry that the government will either default on this debt or will devaluate by monetising its debt and in this way engineer a high inflation rate. According to the Maastricht Treaty, the EU countries should not have a budget deficit higher than 3% of the GDP and a debt higher than 60% of the GDP. I.2.Overview the budget deficit in Viet Nam for the latest 5 years Macroeconomic Report 2012 titled from macroeconomic instability to restructuring released by the National Assembly s Economic Committee announced that Vietnam s state budget deficit and public debts have increased rapidly. The report (Figure 1 Annex) pointed out that the country has suffered constantly increasing the state budget deficit for more than a decade. Particularly, the average state budget deficit (excluding repayments for Vietnam s original debts) in the 2003 2007 period was only 1.3 percent of GDP, but this figure had more than doubled to 2.7 percent of GDP in the 2008 2012 period. Especially in recent years, ongoing budget deficits have led to the rapid growth of public debt. Vietnam s total public debts have increased from about 40 percent of GDP in late 2007 to 57 percent of GDP at the end of 2010 and only declined slightly in 2011. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The efficacy of the treatment can be monitored by observing the blood pressure reading. However, electrolyte disturbance is a common adverse effect of thiazide diuretics as it causes potassium wasting. The frequency of hypokalemia depends on the frequency of administration, dose, diet, and other pharmacologic agents used. During the first two weeks of therapy, electrolytes monitoring is significant. Once a stable state is established, patients are not usually at risk of hypokalemia, unless the dose is increased, extra renal losses of potassium increase, or dietary potassium is reduced. Thiazide diuretics also can cause certain metabolic and endocrine abnormalities such as hypochloremic alkalosis, hypercalcemia and hyponatremia. They can cause photosensitivity and precipitate gout. Hence, it is important to monitor laboratory values periodically in patients on diuretic therapy. The most common drug interactions are pharmacodynamic interactions resulting from potassium depletion caused by the diuretics. Hypokalemia is a risk factor for arrhythmias, and the risk is increased with concomitant therapy with antiarrhythmic agents that prolong the QT interval independently of serum potassium concentration. Therefore, combinations of drugs that can cause hypokalemia such as diuretics, and antiarrhythmic agents require vigilant monitoring of potassium and appropriate replenishment. ... The Revolution changed America s history in major ways. The twelfth amendment was created and the party divisions that we see today in our modern government are results of the conflict. ABSTRACT In High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) therapy system, electrical impedance matching networks should be used between the ultrasound transducer and signal generator in order to maximize the electrical power transmission. Impedance matching networks are designed based on LC resonant networks and that can be analyzed by analytical design theory and smith chart design technique. Graphical method using smith chart is adapted to understand the concept. The reflective power should be reduced after successfully matching the electrical circuit. However, the problem with our case, HIFU transducer has been observed with significant amount of reflective during LC matching network; that reflective power has to be reduced as much as possible. In order to eliminate reflective power we tried transformer matching instead of LC network and we are getting desired output. Even after that, we are getting slightly change over working resonance frequency which is not optimum for highly focused ultrasound transducer application or any other application. However, if we propose broadband matching network for transducer matching then we can increase the range of working frequency and we can compensate that problem. To conclude, transmission power can be increased by implementing broadband electrical matching networks. In this paper, I discuss the characteristics and different applications of piezoelectric material and how matching is an important to observe the behavior of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Aldous Huxley In order to understand how consciousness can be changed, we first had to learn what consciousness is and where it resides, if anywhere specific. For instance, some theories state consciousness resides within the visual hierarchy system, while others pinpoint its location to a specific brain structure known as the claustrum. Even still, researchers debate on whether consciousness, or the state of being aware of oneself, even has a home at all. It is possible it is just the workings of many brain structures or neurons working together, something more of a product than a mechanism on its own. Section 7 of the Charter is supposed to make everyone feel secure. So instead of letting that person commit suicide we should protect that person and get that person help, whether it be getting them some sort of therapy or getting that person medication to keep them feeling better for that period of time. The Relationship Between Sadism And Its Effects On Children Sadism is defined as the derivation of sexual pleasure from the infliction of pain, suffering and /or humiliation upon another person. The pain and suffering of the victim, which may be both physical and psychological, is pivotal to the sexual arousal and pleasure. According to Bernard (1933) sadism hence represents a pathological intensification of the masculine mental character. Characteristics of sadism according to DSM IV (2000) is as follows: having over a period of at least 6 months, recurrent, intense sexually arousing fantasies, sexual urges, or behaviors involving acts (real, not simulated) in which the psychological or physical suffering including humiliation of the victim is sexually exciting to the person, as well as the person has acted on these urges with a non consenting person, or the sexual urges or fantasies cause marked distress or interpersonal difficulty. Introduction Sexual sadism is noticed primarily in males and generally starts with puberty, in spite of the fact that sadistic behavior may be manifested prematurely in children. In all male cases, it becomes obvious by early adulthood. According to Hucker (2009), sexual sadism may start off with fantasies and, in some cases, these may never be acted upon or, be acted out in the more mild forms of consensual relationships. In non consensual cases, the behavior usually continues and often escalates over time as the perpetrator experiences a need for increased violence in order to stimulate the ... The fight for power plays a big part in both the LOTF and The Mist. When the plane crashes in LOTF, Ralph gathers everyone together with the conch. When the boys take a vote they all decide Ralph should be chief, even though Jack: the head of the choir, yearns for the position. The conflict between Ralph and Jack starts with the desire to be in charge, but is intensified by their disagreements on what is most important. Jack feels that the most important thing is hunting; Ralph feels the most important thing is to be rescued. Ultraviolet and Inverse Psoriasis Essay examples Psoriasis Psoriasis is a chronic skin disorder, easily identified by its symptoms of white, scaly skin and red lesions, though not so easily cured or understood. In psoriasis, skin cells mature faster than the body can shed them, causing a buildup. Although there are many theories as to what the cause of such a disease might be В– genetics, stress, or other triggers В– no one is quite sure why the disease occurs, or what could be a possible way to fully cure it. In this essay we will explore the symptoms, types, and effects of this condition, and also some of the known treatments. The scalp is also a common place; 50% of patients with any sort of psoriasis have it on their scalp. There is no known cause for psoriasis, as of yet, but many potential triggers have been identified. Injury to skin is one of the biggest triggers. This has been named the Koebner response. Any type of skin injury can set it off, even scratches or vaccinations. Certain medicines, such as lithium and antimalarials have been known to trigger an outbreak. Although alcohol abuse doesn t cause the disease, it can greatly aggravate it, causing it to flare up. Psoriasis is not diagnosed by any blood test. It is done simply by observation. Where we had the chance to witness the latest technology developments that resulted in the advancement of the communication on a professional and a personal level. But as technology grows and advances step by step so does its impact on the way individuals and society communicates. There are various types of communication in today s world where technology is embedded and manifest in all of them without us feeling it as a pervasive and hankering presence. The poem, apart from being a good read, is a very apt description of how young people tend to go about their lives these days mostly bored, slightly mechanical in outlook, wanting to do more but failing to go noticed as more than a mere cog in the machine that s life. The poem bases itself on the themes of escape, boredom, and restlessness and in doing so it quite aptly portrays how dissatisfying out general attitude towards life is, and how it is quite obvious why we seem to crave for more meaning in our daily routines. The sense of all pervasive boredom is also something that comes across to the reader very effectively. The fact that today s youth all hate home (not because we actually hate it, but because we take the comfort we get for granted) is something that cannot be ignored. And this is not just true for our homes but for everything that has been made available to us. (Senechal, Lefevre, Thomas , Daley, 1996; Sawyer, et al., 2014; SГ©nГ©chal LeFevre, 2002; Senechal LaFevre, 2014). HLE is defined by the frequency of storybook reading and literacy teaching during book reading(Sawyer, et al., 2014, p. 65). SГ©nГ©chal LeFevre (2002 2014) conducted a study to prove that a positive and helpful HLE aids in children s emergent literacy. The Home Literacy Model used proved the original hypothesis. There was a statistically significant predictor of parent s creating a positive HLE and frequency of shared book reading that positively correlated to the child s literacy abilities for the beginning of grade 1. Shared book reading comprises 4% of the significant differences with the child s vocabulary. The formal literacy measures presented by the parents like, actively listening to the child read and the method the parent uses to teach, was deemed most helpful as a predictor for the child s reading abilities by the end of grade 1. The study concluded that a positive HLE promoted growth within the child s vocabulary and word reading skills (SГ©nГ©chal LeFevre, 2002; Senechal LaFevre, 2014). The United States (US) has not always had hospitals for which the ill and dying go to be cared for. Prior to the civil war, death was considered a private matter (Leming Dickinson, 2016). The only indication a person passed away was the tolling of the church bells or the symbolic gravestone on a family s property. Weatherford (2010) states that the Civil War and the contributions from Clara Barton, initiated a standard of care as well as a central location for delivering care.
