Preface
Equestrianism (from Latin equester, equestr- horseman, horse)
more often known as riding , horseback riding or horse riding
referring to the skill of riding, driving, steeple chasing or vaulting
with horses.
Equestrianism is seen in number of faces like sports, military events,
localised nobility, tradition( as in case of Kazakhastan).
Not An Easy Game
Horse Riding is not an easy game. It needs wide eye span and good
reflexes. On the other hand these are not temporary rather they need
to be activated all time long.
This game is risky and addictive!
U.K’s GBR holds the 1st position and germany holds the 2nd and 3rd
positions.
1600 BC—Earliest record of horseback riding
Found in an Egyptian tomb
Used for chariots and war purposes
4000 BC—Brahmins of India claimed to have first ridden a horse.
5th to 15th centuries (Medieval Times): Horses categorized by
use, not by breed.
Mid 1600s—Western riding developed.
English riding developed in Europe, later brought to US.

History of M.U.R.C
M.U. riding club was laid by Nawab Mohd. Ismail Khan
Sherwani in the year 1889 and presented four horses.
M.U.R.C consists of 18 well trained horses.
M.U.R.C is distinct feature for the pride and glory for the
University.
Recently NEC Championships were held in A.M.U for the first
time in March, 2014.
Rich traditions of this club are still followed hold the supreme
authority.
120+ Students are enrolled with batches with four batch timing.
Umar Mujtaba is the current captain.

 Equestrian sports hold highest incidence of serious injury after motor
sports and power boating.
 In the United States there are 1 emergency visit per 600 riders per year.
 The most common injury is falling from the horse, followed by being
kicked, trampled.
 A study in New Zealand, (1993-2001) reports the following data:
•Arm fracture or dislocation (31%)
•Head injury (21%)
•Leg fracture or dislocation (15%)
•Chest injury (33%)
 Dr. Chambless, a neurosurgeon at Vanderbilt University reports that a
rider experiences a serious accident in just 350 hours of riding.
