The document discusses the Watchtower doctrine regarding the 144,000. It states that the Watchtower teaches that only 144,000 humans will go to heaven to rule as kings, based on a misunderstanding of Revelation chapters 7 and 14. Most Jehovah's Witnesses believe they will live forever on earth rather than go to heaven. It also explains differences between the lists of the 12 tribes of Israel mentioned in the Bible and those mentioned as being sealed in Revelation 7.
The document discusses various aspects of the sanctuary and temple worship as described in the Bible. It describes the furnishings and articles of the sanctuary, including the altar of incense, candlestick, table of showbread, veil, ark of the covenant containing the mercy seat, and their significance. It also discusses Jesus as the fulfillment of the sanctuary services and how Christians can come before God through prayer, Bible study, and living a sanctified life.
God teaches each of us using sometimes intensely painful circumstances to inculcate profound and powerful lessons. Such was the case with Jacob, the deceiver, who spent 20 years with his uncle Laban being on the receiving end of deceitfulness. Everyone, Jacob and Laban, Leah and Rachel, and Zilpah and Bilhah learn life's lessons in God's classroom, known as Genesis 29.
The final sequence of God's Tribulation judgments will be the most severe. Don't be here! Place your faith in the Judge himself, Jesus Christ. The document summarizes the chapters of the Book of Acts. It begins by noting that Acts tells the story of the spread of the early Christian church from Jerusalem, as Jesus commanded in Acts 1:8. It then provides a brief 1-2 sentence summary for each of the 28 chapters of Acts, with the first letter of each line spelling out a message when read vertically.
Stephen defends himself by recounting Israel's history of disobeying God. He highlights times God called the Israelites to follow him, but they refused. This angers the Sanhedrin. As they stone Stephen, he sees a vision of Jesus standing at God's right hand. With his dying words, Stephen forgives those killing him, following Jesus' example.

This document provides a summary of the biblical book of Numbers. It discusses how after escaping Egypt, the Israelites traveled through the wilderness toward the Promised Land. They camped at Mount Sinai and Kadesh. When 12 spies were sent to scout the land, 10 of them doubted they could take the land despite God's help. The Israelites complained and were punished multiple times during their journey. Miriam was also punished for speaking against Moses. The document analyzes themes and events throughout Numbers to help understand the journey of the Israelites.
The document outlines that Christians are engaged in a spiritual battle and provides guidance on how to prepare. It notes that the battle belongs to the Lord and emphasizes the importance of getting prepared through regular Bible study, worship, prayer, and living a Christian life. Readers are encouraged to enlist in the Lord's army by obeying his plan of salvation through believing, repenting, confessing, and baptism.

Matthew: The King and His Kingdom_Mt 1.18 25Stephen Palm
“The virgin birth of Christ is a key doctrine; for if Jesus Christ is not God come in sinless human flesh, then we have no Savior. Jesus had to be.” This quote from Pastor/Bible teacher Warren W. Wiersbe strikes at the very core of the Christian faith. Sceptics throughout the ages have questioned the miraculous conception and virgin birth of Jesus Christ. Their unbelief and criticism should not make us doubt. The testimony of Mary is that Jesus was miraculously conceived. So, let us be strengthened because we serve the God of miracles who spoke creation into existence (Gen. 1:1) and sent the Holy Spirit to come upon Mary along with the power of the Most High to overshadow her (Lk. 1:35). In order that she would bear a son and call him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins (Matt. 1:21). The greatest gift this Christmas season is that God has come in the flesh (Jn. 1:14).
Psalms book 1: David's first book of PsalmsMichael Scaman
A short look at the themes in the book and how Jesus is seen in the book. The New Testament says the law presents in a sense pictures of heavenly realities and there is provision for a King in the law so it should be no surprise if the King of Kings is portrayed using the life of David ( as well as other kings)
Book 1 tends to have psalms that are personal in nature.
Additionally often Book 1 is taken as poetically like Genesis and has themes
concerning man and the blessed man in particular.
We concentrate on the flow, themes and connections themes to theme.
The document discusses Jesus' commandment to his disciples to make disciples of all nations. It explains that this means transforming people into followers who learn from Jesus, not just converting them as believers. The key is to win people over through healing, bring them into community, and equip them to obey all that Jesus commanded through teaching. Disciples are made by discipling, baptizing, and teaching people to follow Jesus' example in their lives with his continual presence and support.

Jacob employed selective breeding strategies with Laban's cattle and flocks in order to increase his own herds. He used visual cues and separated the stronger specimens for breeding to concentrate desirable traits. As a result, Jacob's herds greatly increased in number while Laban's decreased, allowing Jacob to acquire significant wealth before leaving Padan Aram.

The document discusses the prophecy of Daniel chapter 2. It begins by providing context about Daniel's time in Babylon and the need for a revival of godliness. It then summarizes the key parts of Daniel's prophecy:
1) God gave Nebuchadnezzar a dream about an image made of different metals which represented successive world empires - gold (Babylon), silver (Medo-Persia), bronze (Greece), and iron (Rome).
2) Daniel was able to interpret the dream, identifying each metal with a kingdom. Rome's division into European powers is symbolized by the feet of iron and clay.
3) The final kingdom will be Christ's everlasting kingdom
The document discusses the three realms of the supernatural: faith, anointing, and glory. It states that faith is the first realm and portal to the supernatural. Faith is in the person of Jesus Christ and it is the beginning of entry into the supernatural realm. The document explores many Bible passages that discuss faith and how it is necessary to please God and receive his promises. It establishes that the realm of faith centers around believing in Jesus Christ.

This document discusses the concept of the Trinity in relation to God, heaven, man, and aspects of salvation. It states that God, heaven, and man each have a trinity structure, with God composed of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, heaven composed of past, present, and future, and man composed of body, soul, and spirit. It then examines Bible passages about the spirit, soul, and body of man, both in unsaved and saved states, including what happens to each at death and their earthly condition. The overall message is that man has a trinitarian composition mirroring God and salvation involves the transformation of the spirit, soul, and body.

This document provides an overview and analysis of Ephesians 5:1-14. It begins by explaining that Paul wrote Ephesians to describe how Jews and Gentiles are now united as one body in Christ. The passage encourages Christians to imitate God by walking in love as Christ loved us and gave himself for our sins. It warns that those engaging in immoral, impure or greedy behaviors are not walking as children of light and will not inherit the kingdom of God. Finally, it contrasts the Christian life of light with the darkness of those still disobedient to God.
After providing context about the church service and referencing scripture, the document summarizes Paul's teaching in 2 Corinthians 5:1-8 about what happens to believers after death. It states that:
A) After death, believers are immediately in the presence of the Lord in heaven.
B) Believers consciously enjoy the life of heaven after death until the Rapture.
C) Between death and the Rapture, believers anticipate being reunited with their resurrected bodies.
The document then offers ways for believers to face death with confidence, noting that God has prepared them and given promises of eternal life in Christ.
The document provides an overview and summary of Ephesians 5:1-14 from the Bible. It discusses key points such as imitating God through walking in love as Christ loved us, avoiding sins like sexual immorality and greed, and living as children of light rather than darkness. Paul encourages believers to distance themselves from unfruitful works of darkness and instead live in a way that exposes the light of Christ. The goal is for Christians to grow in sanctification by becoming more like Christ through their behaviors, words, and lifestyle choices.
19 Jan 2014: "Be Found Faithful in the House of God"alfc_media
The document discusses qualities that God is looking for in faithful people. It emphasizes that in 2014 the focus should be on holiness and restoration. God wants people who are faithful in serving where there are arguments, dissatisfaction, or unfinished tasks. Specifically, it lists three qualities: 1) Being filled with the Holy Spirit to become useful. 2) Having wisdom from fearing God rather than worldly wisdom. 3) Living a witness-filled life through the power of the Holy Spirit to please God and bring people to salvation. The overall message is a call to faithfulness, holiness, and allowing the Holy Spirit's power to work through people.

THE 3 MOST IMPORTANT MEANINGS OF CHRISTMAS Part3Stanley Tan
The document discusses the three most important meanings of Christmas according to scripture. 1) Christmas means salvation and eternal life through Jesus' work to destroy Satan's kingdom and establish God's kingdom on earth. 2) It means the coming of a perfect new King to rule over the kingdom of God with wisdom, power, love and goodness. 3) It signifies a new pattern of "kingdom living" through righteousness, peace and joy in following Christ's example and being born again by the Spirit.
The document is a bulletin from First Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi that includes information about an upcoming Sunday school and prayer meeting. It also provides a summary of a sermon given on the topic of godliness based on 1 Timothy 4:6-12. The sermon defines godliness as devotion to God that results in actions that please Him, like Enoch who "walked with God" and "pleased God". It says godliness includes having an attitude of fearing, loving, and desiring God above all else.
The document describes four letters related to Paul's correspondence with the Corinthians: (1) A previous letter mentioned in 1 Corinthians 5:9, (2) 1 Corinthians, (3) A severe letter mentioned in 2 Corinthians 2:3-4, and (4) 2 Corinthians. It then provides an outline of the contents of 2 Corinthians, which includes a description of Paul's ministry in chapters 1-7, a discussion of a collection for Christians in Jerusalem in chapters 8-9, and Paul's defense of his apostolic authority and address to a recalcitrant minority in chapters 10-13.

2) Excerpts and summaries from the first few chapters of Ephesians, emphasizing themes of God's grace, election, redemption, and sealing by the Holy Spirit.
3) Guidance on walking in the Spirit through true confession, dependence on God, and patiently resting in the Holy Spirit as we live out our purpose and
2 Corinthians 5 discusses the believer's future heavenly body, the judgment seat of Christ, and living with purpose until that time. Specifically:
1) Believers will receive an eternal heavenly body to replace their earthly tent upon death.
2) All believers will appear before the bema seat judgment of Christ to receive recognition for fruitful works done in obedience to God.
3) While waiting for their heavenly body, believers should live to please God and not be attached to this world, as their true home and purpose are in heaven.
After death, believers are immediately in heaven and consciously enjoy life with the Lord. Specifically:
1) Believers' souls are at home with the Lord after death, awaiting the resurrection of their bodies.
2) In heaven, believers consciously experience joy in praising God, without suffering, and would not return to earth even if given the chance.
3) Believers do not receive their resurrected bodies until the rapture but exist as souls in heaven in a spiritual form similar to angels.

The document discusses a Christian's relationship to the law. It argues that Christians are not under the Mosaic law but under the law of Christ. It asserts that the Bible does not divide the Mosaic law into civil, ceremonial and moral categories and that Christians are freed from the law through Jesus' fulfillment of it. Christians' obligation is to love God and their neighbor, fulfilling the whole law.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

12. Dividing The Book Of Ephesians
• Our Position
• Chapters 1-3 tell us about our position and
identity in the church, the body of Christ. Who
we are, where we’re seated, and who we’re in?
• Our Practice
• Chapters 4-6 tell us how our position in the body
of Christ should direct our walk
13. • Diana in Roman religion was the goddess of wild
animals and the hunt. She is almost
indistinguishable from the Greek goddess Artemis
14. Ephesians Main Theme
• The Unity of Christ’s body the church
• Eph 4:4-6 There is one body and one Spirit—
just as you were called to one hope when you
were called— 5 one Lord, one faith, one
baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is
over all and through all and in all.
15. Let’s Read Eph. 2:1-22
• Eph. 2 = The 2 become 1 flesh
• Jew and Gentile become 1 in Christ
• Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave
nor free, male nor female, for you are all one
in Christ Jesus.
• “flesh” is used 5X’s in the NASU, KJV, NKJV in
Eph. 2, it’s a very fleshy chapter
16. Eph 2:1, Dead In Your Sins?
• Eph 2:1 As for you, you were dead in your
transgressions and sins,
• What does “dead in your…sins” mean?
• Many teach that spiritual death is equivalent to
being like a physically dead corpse, unresponsive,
and unable to hear God, exercise faith, or believe
the gospel.
(John 11:43 "Lazarus, come out!“)
• However the Bible says unbelievers “always resist
the Holy Spirit!” (Ac 7:51). Corpses don’t resist
anything. How do men “dead to sin” choose to
sin?
17. Eph 2:1, Dead In Your Sins?
• “as a walking cadaver in a spiritual graveyard”
• whose “ear is deaf to any word from heaven”
• man is no more capable of responding to God’s offer of
salvation than a corpse is of responding to an offer of a
fine meal.
• Regenerate first?
• Theologians refer to this as the ordo salutis, which is
Latin for "the order of salvation.“
• But the prophet Daniel in chapter 2:28 says to an
unbeliever “but there is a God in heaven who reveals
mysteries. He has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what
will happen in days to come.”
18. Eph 2:1, Dead In Your Sins?
• Mt 19:16 Now a man came up to Jesus and
asked, "Teacher, what good thing must I do to
get eternal life?"
• This unbeliever is seeking God. God spoke to
him without regenerating him first.
• Mt 19:22 When the young man heard
this, he went away sad, because he had great
wealth.
• He was not a “walking corpse”, his priorities
were wrong.
19. Eph 2:1, Dead In Your Sins?
• What does “dead in your transgressions and
sins” mean? Let’s look at the 1st mention;
• Ge 2:17...when you eat of it you will surely
die."
• Gen 2:7 “the Lord God formed the man from
the dust of the ground and breathed into his
nostrils the breath of life, and the man
became a living being.”
20. Eph 2:1, Dead In Your Sins?
• First we need to understand life;
• Ge 2:7 “the Lord God formed the man from
the dust of the ground and breathed into his
nostrils the breath [singular] of life [plural in
the Hebrew] , and the man became a living
being.”
• David Hocking pointed this out, that Adam
was given “lives”, physical and spiritual
21. Physical And Spiritual Life
Solves A Few Issues
• Ge 2:17…when you eat of it you will surely
die…
• Ge 5:5…Adam lived 930 years, and then he
died.
• Rv 21:8…This is the second death.
22. Eph 2:1, Dead In Your Sins?
• What does “dead in your….sins” mean?
• 1 Co 2:14 The man without the Spirit does not accept
the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they
are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand
them, because they are spiritually discerned.
• Ro 8:6-8 The mind of sinful man is death, but the
mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; 7 the
sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to
God's law, nor can it do so. 8 Those controlled by the
sinful nature cannot please God.
• Col 2:9-15……..13 When you were dead in your sins
and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God
made you alive with Christ….
23. Eph 2:2, You Used To Live
• Eph 2:2 in which you used to live when you followed
the ways of this world...
• 1 Co 6:9-11 Do you not know that the wicked will not
inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived:
Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor
adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual
offenders 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards
nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of
God. 11 And that is what some of you were. But you
were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in
the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of
our God.
24. Eph 2:2, The Ruler Of The Air?
• Eph 2:2…the ruler of the kingdom of the air,
the spirit who is now at work in those who are
disobedient.
• 2 Co 4:4 The god of this age has blinded the
minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see
the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ,
who is the image of God.
• Jn 12:31…the prince of this world…
25. Eph 2:2, The Ruler Of The Air?
• Lk 8:5…As he was scattering the seed, some fell along
the path; it was trampled on, and the birds of the air
ate it up.
• Lk 8:11-12 "This is the meaning of the parable: The
seed is the word of God. 12 Those along the path are
the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and
takes away the word from their hearts, so that they
may not believe and be saved.
• Rev 16:17 The seventh angel poured out his bowl into
the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from
the throne, saying, "It is done!"
26. Eph 2:2, How Much Power Has Satan?
• Luke 4:5-7 The devil led him up to a high
place and showed him in an instant all the
kingdoms of the world. 6 And he said to
him, "I will give you all their authority and
splendor, for it has been given to me, and I
can give it to anyone I want to. 7 So if you
worship me, it will all be yours.“
• Heb 2:14…him who holds the power of death
— that is, the devil…
27. Eph 2:2, An Act Of God?
• Mt 17:18…Jesus rebuked the demon… [all are NKJV]
• Mk 4:39…He arose and rebuked the wind, and
said to the sea…
• Luke 4:39…He stood over her and rebuked the
fever, and it left her…
• Lk 13:11-16
• If the demon, wind, sea, and the fever were doing
God’s will would He need to rebuke them? Were
they “An Act Of God”?
• What about if it was Satan’s will?
28. Job 1:7, An Act Of God?
• Job 1:7…"From roaming through the earth and going back
and forth in it.“…
• Job 1:10…"Have you not put a hedge around him and his
household and everything he has?...
• Job 1:12…everything he has is in your hands, but on the
man himself do not lay a finger.“…
• Job 1:16…The fire of God fell from the sky… [Elohim, no article]
• Job 1:17…three raiding parties and swept down…
• Job 1:19…suddenly a mighty wind swept in…
• Job 1:22…Job did not sin by charging God with
wrongdoing…
• Job 2:7…Satan went out from the presence of the Lord and
afflicted Job with painful sores…
• Job 2:10…Job did not sin in what he said…
29. How Can A Loving God Allow Evil?
• John 3:19-20 This is the verdict: Light has come
into the world, but men loved darkness instead of
light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone
who does evil hates the light, and will not come
into the light for fear that his deeds will be
exposed.
• God is lovingly, patiently drawing out a bride.
• Eph 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once
were far away have been brought near through
the blood of Christ.
30. How Precious Is One Believer?
• Mt 18:9 And if your eye causes you to sin,
gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for
you to enter life with one eye than to have
two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.
• Mt 16:26 What good will it be for a man if he
gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul?...
31. Eph 2:3, We Were Objects Of Wrath
• Eph 2:2…the spirit who is now at work in
those who are disobedient.
• John 8:44 You belong to your father, the devil,
and you want to carry out your father's desire.
He was a murderer from the beginning, not
holding to the truth, for there is no truth in
him. When he lies, he speaks his native
language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
32. Eph 2:3, We Were Objects Of Wrath
• Col 3:5-7…Put to death, therefore, whatever
belongs to your earthly nature: sexual
immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and
greed, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these,
the wrath of God is coming. 7 You used to
walk in these ways, in the life you once lived..
33. Eph 2:4 But because of his great
love for us, God, who is rich in
mercy,
34. Eph 2:4-7, His Great Love
• Eph 2:4-7 But because of his great love for us, God,
who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even
when we were dead in transgressions — it is by grace
you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up [aorist
active] with Christ and seated us with him [only NT
use, aorist active, “cause to sit down with”] in the
heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the
coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of
his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ
Jesus.
• KJV …and made us sit together …

"And forgive us our trash baskets as we forgive
those who put trash in our baskets.“

36. Eph 2:8-9, What Is The Gift,
Faith Or Grace?
• Eph 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved,
through faith — and this not from yourselves, it is
the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one
can boast.
• Faith (only used 1X’s in Eph 2) is not the gift,
salvation/grace is (used 5X’s in Eph 2)
• Faith like everything else is a gift of God;
• Ro 12:3….in accordance with the measure of faith
God has given you.
• But the main point of this chapter is that we were
dead, but by grace (free, unmerited favor) we
received the gift of life
37. In Context, Grace Is The Subject
• Eph 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved,
through faith…
• Eph 1:6-7…his glorious grace, which he has freely
given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have
redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of
sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace…
• Eph 2:5…it is by grace you have been saved…
• Eph 2:7…in order that in the coming ages he might
show the incomparable riches of his grace…

flesh the law with its commandments [the law
was abolished, not the Jews] and regulations.
His purpose was to create in himself one new
man out of the two [not by destroying Jews] ,
thus making peace,
