Outline of Presentation 
• The purpose of the research. 
• The methodology use in the research. 
• The results and findings of the research. 
• The recommendation of the research.
Purpose 
1. The research will explore the potential of 
films as an important component in 
instructional plans. 
2. The research will test if the develop 
instructional plan using films will be effective 
in teaching pre-service education students.
Methodology 
1. Selection of the Filipino film to be used in the 
study. 
2. Creation of the instructional plan. 
3. Implementation of the developed 
instructional plan.
Results & Findings 
1. The results stated that 
the films Munting Tinig 
by Gil Portes and Mila by 
Joel Lamangan are good 
full length Filipino films 
that showcased the self-image 
of a school teacher.

Results & Findings 
2. A well-designed and -prepared Filipino film-based 
instructional plan that is based on the 
1989 modified instructional plan by Dick & 
Reiser is a great aid in teaching self-image to 
pre-service education students. 
3. The created Filipino film-based instructional 
plan made an impact to students and 
changed their outlook as teachers in the 
future. 
Recommendation 
General: 
Develop a Philippine Film Clip Board that 
will spearhead the creation of useful clips for 
all types of learning for all levels. This will 
definitely minimize the expense, time and 
effort by classroom teachers in improving 
lesson plans that utilize film as its medium.
Recommendation 
Specific: 
Encourage schools to give training to their teachers in the use and 
integration of film in their lessons. 
Equipment such as projectors, videos, cameras, editing computer 
and software should be available to them. 
Researchers should use other existing instructional system designs 
(ISD) for a more focused field. 
The ISD could be a great framework in establishing a different and 
specific design created to answer their objectives.

A well-designed and -prepared Filipino film-based instructional plan that is based on the 1989 modified instructional plan by Dick & Reiser is a great aid in teaching self-image to pre-service education students. 3. The created Filipino film-based instructional plan made an impact to students and changed their outlook as teachers in the future. 
  • 9. Recommendation General: Develop a Philippine Film Clip Board that will spearhead the creation of useful clips for all types of learning for all levels. This will definitely minimize the expense, time and effort by classroom teachers in improving lesson plans that utilize film as its medium.
  • 10. Recommendation Specific: Encourage schools to give training to their teachers in the use and integration of film in their lessons. Equipment such as projectors, videos, cameras, editing computer and software should be available to them. Researchers should use other existing instructional system designs (ISD) for a more focused field. The ISD could be a great framework in establishing a different and specific design created to answer their objectives.
