 Made to compel people to protect the
environment and shake people out of
indifference
 Believes that people need to be
convinced into action
 Proposes laws and acts to give to
legislation to protect the environment

4. What does it do today?
 Most recently, the EPA enforced policies
to reduce toxic air emissions by 90% in
metropolitan areas
 Currently they are researching more cost-
effective methods to control greenhouse
gases
