Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.
Final project report on grocery store management system..pdfKamal Acharya
In today’s fast-changing business environment, it’s extremely important to be able to respond to client needs in the most effective and timely manner. If your customers wish to see your business online and have instant access to your products or services.
Online Grocery Store is an e-commerce website, which retails various grocery products. This project allows viewing various products available enables registered users to purchase desired products instantly using Paytm, UPI payment processor (Instant Pay) and also can place order by using Cash on Delivery (Pay Later) option. This project provides an easy access to Administrators and Managers to view orders placed using Pay Later and Instant Pay options.
In order to develop an e-commerce website, a number of Technologies must be studied and understood. These include multi-tiered architecture, server and client-side scripting techniques, implementation technologies, programming language (such as PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and MySQL relational databases. This is a project with the objective to develop a basic website where a consumer is provided with a shopping cart website and also to know about the technologies used to develop such a website.
This document will discuss each of the underlying technologies to create and implement an e- commerce website.
Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.
Hybrid optimization of pumped hydro system and solar- Engr. Abdul-Azeez.pdffxintegritypublishin
Advancements in technology unveil a myriad of electrical and electronic breakthroughs geared towards efficiently harnessing limited resources to meet human energy demands. The optimization of hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems plays a pivotal role in utilizing natural resources effectively. This initiative not only benefits humanity but also fosters environmental sustainability. The study investigated the design optimization of these hybrid systems, focusing on understanding solar radiation patterns, identifying geographical influences on solar radiation, formulating a mathematical model for system optimization, and determining the optimal configuration of PV panels and pumped hydro storage. Through a comparative analysis approach and eight weeks of data collection, the study addressed key research questions related to solar radiation patterns and optimal system design. The findings highlighted regions with heightened solar radiation levels, showcasing substantial potential for power generation and emphasizing the system's efficiency. Optimizing system design significantly boosted power generation, promoted renewable energy utilization, and enhanced energy storage capacity. The study underscored the benefits of optimizing hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems for sustainable energy usage. Optimizing the design of solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems as examined across diverse climatic conditions in a developing country, not only enhances power generation but also improves the integration of renewable energy sources and boosts energy storage capacities, particularly beneficial for less economically prosperous regions. Additionally, the study provides valuable insights for advancing energy research in economically viable areas. Recommendations included conducting site-specific assessments, utilizing advanced modeling tools, implementing regular maintenance protocols, and enhancing communication among system components.
Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

forced polyester (GRP) and are injected with foam in
certain areas to assure buoyancy and strength. Extra
strengthening is built into the bow, to absorb the forces
of the water during diving.
Euro Offshore distributes the following lifeboats:
freefall lifeboats, enclosed lifeboats and partly
enclosed lifeboats.
Rescueboats and fast rescueboats (FRC) Davits and other launching appliances
To safely lower a rescue boat from a ship, davits
are produced in all shapes and sizes, using different
mechanisms. Euro Offshore distributes high quality
davits and freefall systems for all life- and rescue boats.
All davit systems are designed to withstand extreme
conditions in a highly corrosive marine environment
and are capable to perform consistently.

14. EO rescue and fast rescue boats
The International Convention for the safety of Life at
Sea (SOLAS) of 1914 dictates that every ship needs to
carry rescue boats. Since then the development of
rescue vessels has seen a tremendous innovative
growth. New developments in boat design and
materials helped to improve speed and durability.
The rigid Fast Rescue Boats (FRB’s) are primarily used
for SAR/MOB operations, because of their fast response
time and big capacity. They can also be used for crew
transfer, inspections, patrols and so on. Because of their
deep V-shaped hulls they have excellent performance
on sea, also at high speeds.
The Fast Rescue Boats produced by Euro Offshore
comply with the latest SOLAS requirements and LSA
code. We produce FRB’s with a capacity from 8 to 16
persons and with top speeds from 22 knots to 30 knots.

17. EO Davits (launching appliances)
Depending on the lifting requirements, the davits use
manual or hydraulic slewing, with a pivoting A-frame if
needed. The davits have a small footprint and are so-
called ‘’plug and play’’, guaranteeing easy installation
on board. Each system will be supplied with accessories
as electric controls, wire rope and remote control parts.
All davits meet the latest IMO/SOLAS requirements
and LSA code as well as the European Council Directive
96/98 EC on Marine Equipment (M.E.D.).

18. The davit system for rescueboats is suitable for both a
rescue boat (RB) and one or more life rafts (LR). After
the lifeboat is waterborne a so-called ‘’Quick Return
Unit’’ retrieves the hook, and the life rafts can be low-
ered. The safe working load and outreach of the davit is
normally determined by the size of the liferaft, so there
is a limited range of standard designs which can be
adapted to some extent to meet individual needs.

The davit system for life rafts can lift a fully loaded life
raft with 14 up to 33 persons, with a lowering height
(m) std 20. The safe working load and outreach of the
davit is normally determined by the size of the life raft,

The gravity life boat davit is a hinged gravity type davit
that lowers the boat by use of its own weight (gravity)
and are available for a capacity from 55 Kn to 170 Kn.
The life boat is lowered without stopping, as turing out
and lowering is a continuous motion. In case manual
slewing is not allowed to recover the life boat,
a hydraulic slewing davit van be used as an alternative.

The platform life boat davit is a hinged platform type
davit, which lowers the boat by the help of its own
weight. The life boat is lowered without stopping, as
turning out and lowering of the platform davit is a con-
tinuous motion. Recovery of the life boat is done by the
use of a permanently mounted motor on the winch.
The freefall systems davit consist of a ramp with rollers
and a winch and is mounted on the deck. The entrance
platform for the freefall system needs to be designed
by the client. Recovery of the life boat is done by the
use of a permanently mounted motor on the winch.

20. Hook modifcations
Due to amendments in the Life Saving Appliances (LSA)
code, by resolution MSC 320 and new prototype test as
amended by resolution MSC 321 we developed a serie
of new hook release systems.
Please be informed that all non-compliant hook release
systems have to be replaced or upgrated before July 1,
2019.

21. The new IMO regulations
Resolution MSC.320. Amendments to the LSA code:
•• The mechanism shall not be able to open due to wear, misalignment and unintended force within the hook
assembly or operating mechanism.
•• The hook assembly shall continue to be closed and hold its safe working load through rotation of the cam
by up to 45 degrees ineither direction.
•• To provide hook stability, the release mechanism shall be designed so that when it is fully reset in the
closed position, the weight of the lifeboat does not cause any force to be transmitted to the operating
mechanism.
•• Locking devices shall be designed so that they cannot become open due to forces from the hook load.
•• All components of the hook unit in a lifeboat shall be of material that is corrosion resistant in the marine
environment, without the need for coatings or galvanizing.
Resolution MSC.321. Prototype testing:
•• The lifeboat release and retrieval system loaded to 100% of its safe working load and released. Load and
release should be repeated 50 times.
•• The hook assembly, whilst disconnected from the operating mechanism, should then be tested 10 times
with cyclic loading from zero load to 1.1 times the safe working load, at a nominal 10 seconds per cycle, and
the hook should not open during this test.
