Environmental Impact
Agoura Hills is located in the foothills of the Santa Monica
Mountains on the far western edge of Los Angeles County in the
Conejos Valley. Agoura Hills is characterized by rolling hills
and a blend of semi-rural and suburban style development. The
city is cut off by the Ventura Freeway, and is approximately 36
miles west of downtown Los Angeles. Agoura Hills is known
for its distinct neighborhoods, natural landscape, and array of
recreational resources. The City of Agoura Hills in accordance
with the design standards and guidelines outlines our proposed
design plan. The primary goal of this plan is to reduce the
project site to a size that would reduce construction cost. In
addition, this section addresses the potential impacts of the
proposed project related to water qualityduring construction and
longer-term operational phases of the proposed project. The will
be disturbed during construction will be less permeable than
natural surfaces. This will result in higher volumes of runoff
from these areas than would occur under natural conditions.
Changes in drainage pattern could result from land disturbance,
but in our proposed project plan, since the area needed for the
intended construction is smaller comparing to the total site area,
the construction of the gym and open parking lot has hardly
little contribution for a higher volume of runoff from this site.
And also since there is no much grading activity planed on the
site the runoff will be easily routed toward the natural receiving
body at a facility sites.
A tremendous effort has been put to select appropriate space on
the pan site to avoid grading expenses. The proposed plan
would reduce the amount of potential grading activity onsite,
soil export and/ or import, impacts to biological resources,
hydrological conditions. As this project fully complies with the
city’s design standards and guidelines, the design plan achieves
environmental friendly atmosphere as intended since a major
component of the area would remain untouched.

Do you really need a college education to succeed?
Josh Bersin, Principal and Founder of Bersin by Deloitte, wrote
an article stating that, “Today more than half of US graduates
are looking for work, college cost has risen by 40% in the last
ten years and college graduates now have more than a trillion
dollars of debt” (Bersin). After all we are spending tens of
thousands of dollars on our education and we should heavily
weigh all of our options objectively before taking on such a
huge task as a four year degree and lots of credit card and
student loan debt (Bersin).
According to the National Bureau of Economic Research, not all
college students are out of work. Your chances of finding work
after graduation will increase if you pick a major that will be in
demand in the work force. Could this be the sign of the lack for
a need of a college education in our county or just the
ineffectiveness of a higher education? As college students we
should really consider if a college education is absolutely
critical to our success.
The general idea of what the author is trying to convince the
reader of is that a college education may or may not be essential
in today’s economy in order for one to succeed. Mr. Bersin sites
Richard Aruma, sociologist at New York University, stating that
“36% of college students show no improvement in critical
thinking after completing four years of college” (Bersin).
Statistically speaking, the Bureau of Labor still shows that
people with college degrees are employed at half the rate of
those who do not have a college education.
Today, according to couple students in Schools, an average
price for an in state college education for the 2013-2014 school
year is about over twenty thousand dollars. This includes
tuition, fees, housing, meals, books, and school supplies.
Multiply that over four years and you have a grand total of
nearly one hundred thousand dollars.
College costs have been and continue to be rising every year
along with the cost of living, and of course the price of gas. As
far as wasting time, that may be more up for debate. So is
college still worth it?
The millennial generation with a college degree earned, on
average, $17,500 more than those with just a high school
diploma. Public opinion says that for most individuals a college
degree may be essential for success. However, this truly
depends upon one’s my opinion that it depends on your
definition of success. Who do you look up to? Who are your
role models? Are they college educated? Does money define
success to you?
The questions remain, do people really do need a higher
education to succeed? We looked at the comments of the article
and found some people are for the side saying “no” such as Bill
Gates; he is probably one of the most currently used examples
of successful college dropouts. Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerburg, or
Steve Jobs all three dropped out of top notch ivy-league schools
only to later become billionaires and revolutionize the
technology industry.
We also have Richard Branson; at 16 years old, Branson
founded The Student, a magazine he distributed to his fellows at
Stowe School in England. He barely graduated and chose not to
attend college, instead he opted to sell popular records out of
the church in which he ran the magazine and started Virgin
Records (Bersin). In addition, we can include many more
actors, musicians, philanthropists, businessmen and former
presidents to the list who would further illustrate Mr. Bersin’s
point that higher education is not a necessary step towards
becoming successful.
While Josh Bersin also argues that the “value of higher
education will never go away” he also thinks that rather than
just looking to see if an individual has a college education,
recruiters such as himself should take more time and evaluate
things such as experience, your overall ability to learn or level
of goal, and problem solving skills. A survey taken by
WealthInSight dispels the myth that college dropouts regularly
make it to millionaire status. Only 1% of the millionaires
surveyed did not obtain a degree, the other 99% depended on
their diploma at least in part (Bersin).
Most people will tell you that you need a college degree to be
successful and that very well may be true for most people. Josh
Bersin says “People who know how to learn (and are motivated
to learn) consistently outperform their peers.” So if you want to
be a success it is highly recommended along with Josh Bersin
that if you want to be successful, you should learn how to study
(in or out of college) something that will inspire and motivate
you otherwise you may never become a success.
“Do people really need a higher education” tries to convey that
you may or may not need a higher education to succeed and that
you should keep an open mind to the many possibilities that you
have as an individual. Again it is not necessarily your education
that will make you a success but your level of ambition, ability
to learn, and experience or skill sets. An education may or may
not afford you experience and the ability to learn but definitely
has no effect on your level of ambition that is something you
must get on your own.
You can really tell that Josh Bersin has taken some time here to
think about this top based on his use of statistical data and
citation sources. He has also gained a lot of actual hands-on
experience in research-based information, professional
development, and advisory consulting services for strategic,
talent management which adds more real word feel to his
arguments. Based on his arguments, one can easily conclude
that before jumping into a college program, it is important to
evaluate what one’s definition of success is and what he or she
wants to complete in life. After that one must analyze whether
or not a college education is worth the money for what it will
give him or her to succeed in this area.

Research paper: Is Islam a Peaceful Religion
This research paper is about the religion of Islam. In this paper,
discussions have been made about peace in Islam. There are lots
of things are unfamiliar to the world about the religion of Islam.
Because of this throughout the world it is commonly asserted
that Islam is a religion of violence, misogyny, and a host of
other negative attributes. However, evaluating various related
facts and evidences about peace concept and criteria of society
in Islam, An investigation has been done in this paper regarding
the question that Is Islam a Peaceful Religion.
Islam is in fact a religion that pushes peace and understanding
around individuals of all religions, and it emphatically restricts
all manifestations of viciousness and hostility against all
individuals paying little heed to their confidence or race. Islam
unmistakably denies various types and manifestations of
animosity and brutality against anybody, with the exception of
in self-preservation. Islam is a viable religion, intended to be
executed in every part of our life. Consequently, it understands
the way that an individual who submits hostility and brutality
against others won't stop these activities unless they are
hindered by comparative moves made against them (Abdulla,
2013).
Islam likewise puts high criticalness on equity, and takes into
consideration aggressors and crooked individuals be rebuffed as
needs be, unless they apologize before they are brought to
equity. In the meantime, Islam urges individuals to excuse the
individuals who have wronged them at whatever point
conceivable. Confirmation of these beliefs could be found in the
Holy Qur'an, which is the expressions of God uncovered to the
flag-bearer of God, Mohammad peace be upon him. It can
likewise be found in the Hadeeth, the maxims of Mohammad
peace be upon him, and in his teachings to Muslims (Abu-
Nimer, 2008). A couple of cases of this are indicated below
from the Holy Qur'an:
1. "Battle in the reason for Allah the individuals who battle you,
and don't transgress; for Allah loveth not transgressors." (Surah
2, Verse 190).
2. "But on the off chance that they stop (battling you), Allah is
Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (Surah 2, Verse 192).
3. "But if the adversary slants towards peace, do thou (likewise)
slant towards peace, and confide in Allah: for He is the One that
Heareth and Knoweth (all things)." (Surah 8, Verse 61).
4. "The denied month, for the disallowed month, along these
lines for all things precluded, there is the law of uniformity. On
the off chance that then any one transgresses the denial against
you, transgress ye in like manner against him. Be that as it may
fear Allah, and realize that Allah is with the individuals who
control themselves." (Surah 2, Verse 194).
5. " ... also let not the disdain of some individuals in (once)
closing you out of the Sacred Mosque lead you to transgression
(and danger on your part). Help ye each other in exemplary
nature and devotion, however help ye not each one in turn in sin
and malevolence: dread Allah: for Allah is strict in discipline."
(Surah 5, Verse 2).
6. "Nor can Goodness and Evil be equivalent. Repulse (Evil)
with what is better: then will he between whom and thee was
contempt gotten to be in a manner of speaking thy companion
and cozy!" (Surah 41, Verse 34).
7. "O ye who accept! Emerge immovably for equity, as
witnesses to Allah, even as against yourselves, or your folks, or
your kinfolk, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for Allah
can best ensure both. Take after not the desires (of your hearts),
for fear that ye swerve, and if ye misshape (equity) or decay to
do equity, verily Allah is overall familiar with all that ye do."
(Surah 4, Verse 135)
8. "God supporters equity, philanthropy, and in regards to the
relatives. Furthermore He denies underhandedness, bad habit,
and transgression. He edifies you, that you may take regard."
(Surah 16, Verse 90).
9. "And if ye do rebuff them, rebuff them no more regrettable
than they rebuffed you: however in the event that ye show
tolerance, which is in fact the best (course) for the individuals
who are patient." (Surah 16, Verse 126).
The initial three verses above teach Muslims to battle the
individuals who battle them, and not to submit animosity to
start with, as God does not like transgressors. They additionally
train Muslims to quit battling the individuals who wish to stop
battling them, and to acknowledge peace with the adversary who
gets slanted towards peace. The fourth verse said above
educates Muslims that on the off chance that somebody
transgresses against them, they ought to react to them in like
manner, and it reminds Muslims to fear God and to control
themselves as far as possible. The fifth verse reminds Muslims
not to let contempt of some individuals for past motivations to
lead them to transgress against those individuals or be
unfriendly towards them. It additionally teaches us to help one
another in great and exemplary activities, and not to coordinate
in hostility and sin, and it helps them at last to remember the
strict discipline of God to urge them to comply with these
standards. The sixth verse reminds us that integrity and malice
are never equivalent, and that we ought to repulse underhanded
with great movements. This implies that when somebody is
uncalled for to us or confers malicious against us, we are
swayed to react with kind and great movements, so the disdain
between us and that individual will dissipate and will turn into a
personal companionship! The seventh verse said reminds us to
remain up for equity, regardless of the possibility that it is
against ourselves or our family, and regardless of the fact that it
is against the individuals who are rich or effective, on the
grounds that equity applies to everybody. It additionally
reminds us that God knows all that we do, thus in the event that
we demonstration unfairly even in our hearts, God recognizes
what we did and we will be responsible for that. The eighth
verse briefs us that God charges us to take after equity, and that
God denies us from submitting fiendishness, bad habit and
transgression. The ninth and last verse reminds Muslims that in
the event that they are rebuffed, that they might just react with
the same discipline and not to head over this point of
confinement. On the other hand, they are reminded that
pardoning and tolerance is the best practice of life (Ahmad,
n.d). These are the superb standards of Islam:
· To seek after peace with everybody including past adversaries,
aside from when they battle the Muslims and reject peace, then
Muslims are permitted to battle in self-protection.
· To guarantee that we generally apply equity and never
transgress against others regardless of the fact that they are our
foes.
· To repulse fiendishness movements with great activities, to
swap contempt with a close companionship.
· To react to discipline with the same discipline, yet that
absolution and tolerance is surprisingly better than revenge
(Ahmad, 2008).
The verse specified beneath educates us that we were made and
made into different countries and tribes so we may get to know
one another, and not so we may loathe and detest one another.
At that point we are helped to remember the way that the best of
us in God's eyes are the individuals who are generally honest.
· "O humanity! We made you from a solitary (pair) of a male
and a female, and made you into countries and tribes, that ye
may know one another (not that ye may scorn one another).
Verily the most respected of you in the sight of Allah is (he who
is) the most honest of you. What's more Allah has full
Knowledge and is decently familiar (with all things)." (Surah
49, Verse 13).
This radiant rule of Islam makes it clear that there is no a
solitary individual, race, or country that is superior to what
others. God made all of us equivalent. In God's eyes, the best of
us are the most honest and generally kind. God made humanity
as distinctive races and countries despite the fact that He could
have made all of us with as one country, with one dialect and
one religion. Nonetheless, as expressed in the verse said above,
God made these diverse countries and tribes so we get to know
other one another, and not to detest one another in light of the
fact that we are distinctive. This lets us know that we ought to
praise our disparities and not abhor one another focused around
them. Islam likewise shows us to understand that no single race
or individuals have matchless quality over others, and that we
are judged singularly focused around our movements. This verse
likewise shows us that we ought to live calmly with different
countries and tribes and we ought to appreciation one another
and our disparities. We ought to figure out how to live together
and to get to know one another, and to take part in dialog
around all countries and treat each individual as being
equivalent (Ahmad, 2007).
The verse from the Qur'an which states this rule of no impulse
in religion is the accompanying:
· "let there be no impulse in religion: Truth emerges clear from
Error: whoever rejects Evil and has faith in Allah hath got a
handle on the most reliable hand-hold that never breaks. What's
more Allah heareth and knoweth all things." (Surah 2, Verse
256).
The heavenly Qur'an reminds us that there must not be impulse
in religion. It states that reality emerges clear from mistake, and
that the individuals who reject lapse and put stock in God are
the spared ones. This implies that Muslims are not permitted to
drive individuals to change over to Islam. Muslims ought to just
look to make reality clear to others, and converse with them
about Islam, then let them choose for themselves. Truth be told,
most individuals who study Islam without having settled on a
choice to scorn it first come to cherish its message and
proselyte to Islam in the wake of looking into its values and
standards (Din, 2007). An alternate verse that likewise states
this rule is the accompanying:
· "If one around the Pagans approaches thee for shelter, stipend
it to him, so he may hear the expressions of Allah; and
afterward escort him to where he could be secure. That is on
account of they are men without information." (Surah 9, Verse
6).
This sublime verse teaches Muslims to give refuge to non-
adherents, and make them safe, and permit them to hear the
expressions of Allah. At that point they are to be escorted to
whatever spot they will be sheltered and secure in. This is on
the grounds that these non-adherents basically have no learning
of Islam, and no information of the expressions of Allah. What
a glorious religion Islam is! By what method can this be
contrasted and the way that Christians spread their religion?
They spread it by genocide, mass homicide, seizing of
youngsters and wiping out of whole countries and
developments! Solicit the locals from the Americas, Australia
and Africa about it (Hasan, n.d).
As expressed prior, Islam is an exceptionally down to earth
religion. It is not pretty much fake standards that don't work. It
is a religion that is intended to be actualized 100% in all
activities of the Muslims life, and it is intended to advertise
peace and equity on the planet. Hence, Islam does permit
Muslims to go to war, as specified prior, in specific
circumstances. This incorporates self-preservation, and to
uproot hostility and shamefulness that has happened to
individuals and to spare them from their oppressors. The verses
that advise Muslims to battle the individuals who battle them
were said prior (Omar, 2002). The following is the verse in the
heavenly Qur'an that permits Muslims to battle against bad
form.
· "Permission [to fight] is conceded to the individuals who are
continuously oppressed, since shamefulness has come to pass
for them, and God is absolutely fit to help them [with victory].
They were ousted from their homes shamefully, for no reason
other than saying, "Our Lord is God." If it were not for God's
supporting of some individuals against others, religious
communities, houses of worship, synagogues, and mosques -
where the name of God is remembered every now and again -
might have been annihilated. Completely, God backs the
individuals who help Him. God is Powerful, Almighty." (Surah
22, Verses 39-40).
This verse offers authorization to those Muslims who fall under
onerous, treacherous guideline, and those Muslims who are
constantly aggrieved to battle to evacuate this abuse.
Indeed in times of war, the Muslim must regard his foe's
mankind. Merciless and boorish outrages are denied in Islam.
Islam censures uncouth slaughtering of any person. Along these
lines, Islam does not allow the mutilation of the collections of
the dead adversary warriors. Additionally, Islam disallows the
focusing on and executing of all citizens, particularly ladies,
kids, the elderly and religious ministry. Foes, even at time of
war, must be dealt with evenhandedly. Detainees of war have
fundamental human rights, as expressed in the Shariah (Islamic
Law), and must be given and minded to and not embarrassed at
all (Soliman, 2009). The accompanying verses touch on some of
these issues:
· "O Prophet! say to the individuals who are prisoners in your
grasp: If Allah findeth any great in your hearts, He will provide
for you an option that is superior to what has been taken from
you, and He will forget you: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most
Merciful." (Surah 8, Verse 70).
· "And they nourish, for the love of Allah, the penniless, the
vagrant, and the hostage, (Saying), we sustain you for the
purpose of Allah alone: no prize do we fancy from you or much
appreciated." (Surah 76, Verses 8-9).
Furthermore, the accompanying were the guidelines of Prophet
Mohammad (pbuh) to Muslims who are compelled to battle a
war: "Don't slaughter ladies or kids or non-soldiers and don't
murder old individuals or religious individuals,'' and he said
ministers, nuns and rabbis. What's more he said, "Don't chop
down apples and oranges bearing trees and don't harm the wells
of your adversaries."
There are a lot of people more colloquialisms and teachings of
Prophet Mohammad that train Muslims on these issues.
Notwithstanding this, Islam restricts persecution, vengeance or
shamefulness to the populace of the adversary if there should
raise an occurrence of triumph against them. Nor should there
be control over the wellsprings of the abundance of the country
or individuals, or even stronghold of provincial administrations.
Equity and flexibility must be made. Tolerance towards
societies and people groups is to be regarded at all times
(Walker, 2013).
After evaluating the above facts, evidences, and related
misconceptions about Islam and its peace concept, it can be
concluded that all misconceptions such as Islam is a religion of
violence, misogyny, and a host of other negative attributes are
all wrong, and in real Islam is a religion of peace.

Introduction
A strategic vacation destination requires that the person making
the trip should be aware of what to look out for. Various matters
fall into consideration when comparing prospective
destinations. It is for this purpose that the travel guide comes
along; to assist in factual comparisons between hotels and
parks. My focus in this project proposal involves travelling and
touring destination guides provision. It delves into changing
unfavourable and expensive touring habits into the most
suitable and inexpensive touring habits that would ensure that
the person looking to travel arrives at the best decision in the
shortest time possible.
Tarantula: A Travel and Tourism Journal
The travel guide would include these marketable destinations
with all their services and visual representations for easy
illustrations:
· US Virgin Islands - An American tropical getaway simmering
at an eternally 80 degrees, rimmed with white-sand beaches on
turquoise water, with St John Inn, a nearly two-thirds lush
national park with tent cabins amid trees and hikes to secluded
beaches - can be explored by snorkel or kayak.
· Hudson River Valley, New York - a slice of rural Americana
just north. It’s a real city break, with leafy drives, wineries and
plenty of farm-to-table foodie options that draw even spoiled-
for-choice Manhattanites away from the city.
· Cincinnati, Ohio - has a couple of bridges including John
Roebling’s Suspension Bridge (a prequel to his famous
Brooklyn Bridge). Narrow, twisting (and steep) brick roads of
the Mt Adams district lead past 19th-century Victorian
townhouses and the free Cincinnati Art Museum, while the
once-dangerous, emerging Over-the-Rhine, and a sprawling
collection of historic Italianate architecture. Best, though, is the
National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.
· Four Corners Region, Southwest USA - the venue sits amidst
southwest – Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah. This
underappreciated region is a geologic, archeological
wonderland.
· Culebra, Puerto Rico - The island is rimmed with great
beaches, but the best – and still a secret to most visitors – is the
world-class Playa Flamenco
· California Gold Country - it is an hour closer to San Francisco
(and cheaper and less crowded) within Gold Country
· Boulder, Colorado
· Hawai’i: The Big Island - holds a wide variety of attractions:
Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park, Kealakekua Bay snorkeling,
hikes into caves and waterfalls along the lava field at Hilina
Pai, or just bumming on the island’s best beach at Hapuna.
· Yellowstone National Park
The travel and tourism journal would ideally make for a big
save tool economically and work as a financial supervisor for
both travel and tourism enthusiasts. The name chosen the
magazine would be "Tarantula", because it stretches the budget
across a wide range of tour destinations and thoroughly
addresses the hotel services and products offered for various
individual preferences. The monthly publication would outline
destinations such as Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Caribbean Islands,
Central America, Europe, Middle East, North America, and
Pacific South America.
It would contain detailed products sold in different shops, offer
destination guidance, be provided via eBooks, offer pictorial
illustrations of suites and atmospherics in the hotels and
reservations, offer gifts, activity guides and special offers, and
finally provide access to travel forums for every country or
language preference. The magazine would be printed in two
different languages, Spanish and English. Other sale points that
would be added into the magazine to give it a personal touch
include 'contact us' and social media links that allow consumers
to talk to the staff and producers of the magazine. The links
enable online interaction and direct payment services for
Tarantula's subscriptions so that the magazine would also
achieve success by introducing a soft copy version that can be
embedded into the various browsers and eBook readers. There,
it would be provided with themes and seasonal adventure travel
offers. Sales would be enhanced by provision of beach party and
events advertisements, possible honeymoon destinations,
photography sessions, family travel guides, hotel seasonal
offers, road trips, flight booking arrangements, and hotel
booking connections.
An overview of the 200 pages long magazine would be provided
detailing the upcoming hot sessions in reference to open
sporting events being held in the different hotels and
destinations to allow for ample booking time and ticket selling
time for each event. In most issues, the travel guide would be a
necessity because travelling can be as dangerous an event as
any if not well timed and prepared for. This magazine would
consider the entire age range from kids to seniors who qualify
for legal travel between internally and internationally. Such
strong company policies outline that the estimated sales and
circulation of the magazine to hit the top bar in regards to
popularity and wide coverage. It would sell at every hotel and
travel terminal to outdo and eliminate its competition. This
would also mean that there would be little advertising costs
since the magazine would be available all over the internet and
in every affiliated hotel and shop included in the catalogue
section of the magazine, another strong point yet that allows the
cost of circulation of the magazine to lower and sell for as low
as $5.99 per issue. A feasibility study would indicate a high
profit margin and a low risk of investment, considering all
organizations that advertise in the publication would have to
purchase the advertising service from the producers of the
magazine in each language and its interest target circle across
the globe. The regular outline of the magazine would include
the following catchy phrases and topics to catch the reader's
eye:
1. Top trendy wear for the elegant traveller
2. Easy travel tips for this season
3. Sporty camping and racing events
4. Get your hiking gear for the season
5. Best cuisines that you will want to try
6. What to expect this month as you turn to your horoscope
7. What to take home from the getaway
8. Lodgings and Reservations
9. Bookings and Flight Insurance: A call away
All-in-all, this magazine would be the handy travel guide
purchased and fought for by all touring companies to keep their
readers and customers coming back.
Is Islam A Peaceful Religion?
This interview paper is about the subject “Is Islam A Peaceful
Religion?” According to my opinion there are lots of things are
unfamiliar to the world about the religion of Islam. Because of
this throughout the world it is commonly asserted that Islam is a
religion of violence, misogyny, and a host of other negative
attributes. However, to know what the exact truth is, I've
interviewed a well-known Indian Muslim scholar, Dr. Zakir
Naik via Skype. In that interview he thoroughly answered to my
all questions about peace in the religion of Islam.
In the beginning of interview, I asked him to define what peace
is for the Islam. Giving the definition of peace for the religion
of Islam, Dr. Zakir Naik said, “Islam as a religion is simple and
balanced. In the Islam all the area of human life is pre-defined.
It is called as a peaceful religion because it gives clarity in
reward and punishment in the act of the people.”
In the next question that how can Islam be called the religion of
peace when it was spread by the sword, Dr. Zakir Naik
described that it is misconception that Islam was spread by the
sword. He said, “Islam would not have millions of adherents all
over the world, if it had not been spread by the use of force.
Islam means peace, and as religion of peace sometimes force
has to be used to maintain peace. It is precisely for this reason
that we have the police who use force against criminals and
antisocial elements to maintain peace in the country. Islam
promotes peace. At the same time, Islam exhorts it followers to
fight where there is oppression. The fight against oppression
may, at times, require the use of force. In Islam force can only
be used to promote peace and justice.”
Answering the question regarding how much acceptance of
other religions and people with different faith have found in
Islam, he says, “acceptance of other religions and people with
different faith have found in Islam because in the Qur'an it is
clear that there must be "no compulsion in religion." Yet
Muslims are not pluralistic in their worldview - they consider
their religion to the true religion and invite people of all races,
nationalities and religions to be part of it. In fact, the Qur'an
explains that the religion of the Jews and Christians is the same
as that revealed to Muhammad, and Allah is God of them all.
Moreover he quoted Quranic verse 6:154-56 and said, "The
Book was sent down to two People before us, and for our part,
we remained unacquainted with all that they learned by
assiduous study."
Explaining the misconception about Islam and terrorism, Dr.
Zakir Naik says, “the word terrorism came into wide usage only
a few decades ago and unfortunate it’s highly have related to
the Muslims. Islam is strongly forbid the killing of innocent
people and spreading terrorism. Islam itself meaning of peace
and this is only a religion which says, “Killing one innocent
man is the killing of all humanity."”
Regarding answer of suicide attack question to kill the people,
Dr. Zakir Naik answers, “Islam considers all life forms as
sacred. However, the sanctity of human life is accorded a
special place. The first and the foremost basic right of a human
being is the right to live." The Glorious Quran says; "take not
life, which God hath made sacred, except by way of justice and
law: thus doth He command you, that ye may learn wisdom."
The Quran prohibits homicide in clear terms. The taking of a
criminal’s life by the state in order to administer justice is
required to uphold the rule of law, and the peace and security of
the society. Only a proper and competent court can decide
whether an individual has forfeited his right to life by
disregarding the right to life and peace of other human beings.
Dr. Zakir Naik also explains the term of jihad and its logic
related with peace. He says, “Jihad means strive. It is an effort
to practice religion in the face of oppression and persecution.
The effort may come in fighting the evil in your own heart, or
in standing up to a dictator. The role of Jihad to make peace in
a society is to give permission of fighting in self-defense, in
defense of religion, or on the part of those who have been
expelled forcibly from their homes. It lays down strict rules of
combat, which include prohibitions against harming civilians
and against destroying crops, trees and livestock."
Regarding human rights question in Islam for making the peace
in a society, Dr. Zakir Naik told me that he responded, “the
attitude of Islam about human rights to make a peaceful society
is to teach people how to think, live and promote peace. Islam
has supported values and structures which are incompatible with
the assumptions which cause the collective declaration of
Human Rights. Muslim women are subjugated because;
according to Qur’an, “Men have authority over women because
God has made the one superior to the other, and because men
spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient.
They guard their unseen parts because God has guarded them.
As for those among you who fear disobedience, admonish them
and send them to beds apart and beat them.”
Answering question about what does Islam say to convert one
from other religion into this religion forcefully, Dr. Zakir Naik
says, “Islam is totally against the forceful conversion. Muslims
are commanded to fight unbelievers until they say they believe
in Allah (or pay the Jizya), but there seems to be an underlying
understanding that belief itself can't be forced. Nevertheless,
once a subjugated individual outwardly converts to Islam under
the strain of taxes and discrimination, they are not allowed to
recant upon penalty of death. Their children must also be raised
Muslim.”
In response of the question that when all the Muslim follow one
and the same Qur’an then why is there so many sects and
different schools of thoughts among Muslims, Dr. Zakir Naik
describes, “The tragedy is that such divisions are not endorsed
by Islam at all. Islam believes in development unity amongst its
followers. The Glorious Qur’an says: "And hold fast, All
together, by the rope Which Allah (stretches out for you), and
be not divided among yourselves." {Al-Qur’an 3:103} Allah
(SWT) says that one should disassociate oneself from those who
divide their religion and break it up into sects. The Glorious
Qur’an says: "As for those who divide their religion and break
up into sects, thou hast no part in them in the least: Their affair
is with Allah: He will in the end Tell them the truth Of all that
they did."
In the last question that all religions basically teach followers to
do good deeds, so why should a person only follow Islam than
other religion, Dr. Zakir Naik defens as, “All religions basically
exhort mankind to be righteous and eschew evil. But Islam goes
beyond that. It guides us towards practical ways of achieving
righteousness and eliminating evil from our individual and
collective lives. Islam takes into account human nature and the
complexities of human society. Islam is guidance from the
Creator Himself. Therefore, Islam is also called the natural
religion of Man."

Environmental Impact Agoura Hills is located in the foothills of.docx

  • 1. Environmental Impact Agoura Hills is located in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains on the far western edge of Los Angeles County in the Conejos Valley. Agoura Hills is characterized by rolling hills and a blend of semi-rural and suburban style development. The city is cut off by the Ventura Freeway, and is approximately 36 miles west of downtown Los Angeles. Agoura Hills is known for its distinct neighborhoods, natural landscape, and array of recreational resources. The City of Agoura Hills in accordance with the design standards and guidelines outlines our proposed design plan. The primary goal of this plan is to reduce the project site to a size that would reduce construction cost. In addition, this section addresses the potential impacts of the proposed project related to water qualityduring construction and longer-term operational phases of the proposed project. The will be disturbed during construction will be less permeable than natural surfaces. This will result in higher volumes of runoff from these areas than would occur under natural conditions. Changes in drainage pattern could result from land disturbance, but in our proposed project plan, since the area needed for the intended construction is smaller comparing to the total site area, the construction of the gym and open parking lot has hardly little contribution for a higher volume of runoff from this site. And also since there is no much grading activity planed on the site the runoff will be easily routed toward the natural receiving body at a facility sites. A tremendous effort has been put to select appropriate space on the pan site to avoid grading expenses. The proposed plan would reduce the amount of potential grading activity onsite, soil export and/ or import, impacts to biological resources, hydrological conditions. As this project fully complies with the city’s design standards and guidelines, the design plan achieves environmental friendly atmosphere as intended since a major component of the area would remain untouched.
  • 2. Almakrami5 Do you really need a college education to succeed? Josh Bersin, Principal and Founder of Bersin by Deloitte, wrote an article stating that, “Today more than half of US graduates are looking for work, college cost has risen by 40% in the last ten years and college graduates now have more than a trillion dollars of debt” (Bersin). After all we are spending tens of thousands of dollars on our education and we should heavily weigh all of our options objectively before taking on such a huge task as a four year degree and lots of credit card and student loan debt (Bersin). According to the National Bureau of Economic Research, not all college students are out of work. Your chances of finding work after graduation will increase if you pick a major that will be in demand in the work force. Could this be the sign of the lack for a need of a college education in our county or just the ineffectiveness of a higher education? As college students we should really consider if a college education is absolutely critical to our success. The general idea of what the author is trying to convince the reader of is that a college education may or may not be essential in today’s economy in order for one to succeed. Mr. Bersin sites Richard Aruma, sociologist at New York University, stating that “36% of college students show no improvement in critical thinking after completing four years of college” (Bersin). Statistically speaking, the Bureau of Labor still shows that people with college degrees are employed at half the rate of those who do not have a college education. Today, according to couple students in Schools, an average price for an in state college education for the 2013-2014 school year is about over twenty thousand dollars. This includes
  • 3. tuition, fees, housing, meals, books, and school supplies. Multiply that over four years and you have a grand total of nearly one hundred thousand dollars. College costs have been and continue to be rising every year along with the cost of living, and of course the price of gas. As far as wasting time, that may be more up for debate. So is college still worth it? The millennial generation with a college degree earned, on average, $17,500 more than those with just a high school diploma. Public opinion says that for most individuals a college degree may be essential for success. However, this truly depends upon one’s my opinion that it depends on your definition of success. Who do you look up to? Who are your role models? Are they college educated? Does money define success to you? The questions remain, do people really do need a higher education to succeed? We looked at the comments of the article and found some people are for the side saying “no” such as Bill Gates; he is probably one of the most currently used examples of successful college dropouts. Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerburg, or Steve Jobs all three dropped out of top notch ivy-league schools only to later become billionaires and revolutionize the technology industry. We also have Richard Branson; at 16 years old, Branson founded The Student, a magazine he distributed to his fellows at Stowe School in England. He barely graduated and chose not to attend college, instead he opted to sell popular records out of the church in which he ran the magazine and started Virgin Records (Bersin). In addition, we can include many more actors, musicians, philanthropists, businessmen and former presidents to the list who would further illustrate Mr. Bersin’s point that higher education is not a necessary step towards becoming successful. While Josh Bersin also argues that the “value of higher education will never go away” he also thinks that rather than
  • 4. just looking to see if an individual has a college education, recruiters such as himself should take more time and evaluate things such as experience, your overall ability to learn or level of goal, and problem solving skills. A survey taken by WealthInSight dispels the myth that college dropouts regularly make it to millionaire status. Only 1% of the millionaires surveyed did not obtain a degree, the other 99% depended on their diploma at least in part (Bersin). Most people will tell you that you need a college degree to be successful and that very well may be true for most people. Josh Bersin says “People who know how to learn (and are motivated to learn) consistently outperform their peers.” So if you want to be a success it is highly recommended along with Josh Bersin that if you want to be successful, you should learn how to study (in or out of college) something that will inspire and motivate you otherwise you may never become a success. “Do people really need a higher education” tries to convey that you may or may not need a higher education to succeed and that you should keep an open mind to the many possibilities that you have as an individual. Again it is not necessarily your education that will make you a success but your level of ambition, ability to learn, and experience or skill sets. An education may or may not afford you experience and the ability to learn but definitely has no effect on your level of ambition that is something you must get on your own. You can really tell that Josh Bersin has taken some time here to think about this top based on his use of statistical data and citation sources. He has also gained a lot of actual hands-on experience in research-based information, professional development, and advisory consulting services for strategic, talent management which adds more real word feel to his arguments. Based on his arguments, one can easily conclude that before jumping into a college program, it is important to evaluate what one’s definition of success is and what he or she wants to complete in life. After that one must analyze whether or not a college education is worth the money for what it will

Because of this throughout the world it is commonly asserted that Islam is a religion of violence, misogyny, and a host of other negative attributes. However, evaluating various related
  • 6. facts and evidences about peace concept and criteria of society in Islam, An investigation has been done in this paper regarding the question that Is Islam a Peaceful Religion. Islam is in fact a religion that pushes peace and understanding around individuals of all religions, and it emphatically restricts all manifestations of viciousness and hostility against all individuals paying little heed to their confidence or race. Islam unmistakably denies various types and manifestations of animosity and brutality against anybody, with the exception of in self-preservation. Islam is a viable religion, intended to be executed in every part of our life. Consequently, it understands the way that an individual who submits hostility and brutality against others won't stop these activities unless they are hindered by comparative moves made against them (Abdulla, 2013). Islam likewise puts high criticalness on equity, and takes into consideration aggressors and crooked individuals be rebuffed as needs be, unless they apologize before they are brought to equity. In the meantime, Islam urges individuals to excuse the individuals who have wronged them at whatever point conceivable. Confirmation of these beliefs could be found in the Holy Qur'an, which is the expressions of God uncovered to the flag-bearer of God, Mohammad peace be upon him. It can likewise be found in the Hadeeth, the maxims of Mohammad peace be upon him, and in his teachings to Muslims (Abu- Nimer, 2008). A couple of cases of this are indicated below from the Holy Qur'an: 1. "Battle in the reason for Allah the individuals who battle you, and don't transgress; for Allah loveth not transgressors." (Surah 2, Verse 190). 2. "But on the off chance that they stop (battling you), Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (Surah 2, Verse 192). 3. "But if the adversary slants towards peace, do thou (likewise) slant towards peace, and confide in Allah: for He is the One that Heareth and Knoweth (all things)." (Surah 8, Verse 61). 4. "The denied month, for the disallowed month, along these
  • 7. lines for all things precluded, there is the law of uniformity. On the off chance that then any one transgresses the denial against you, transgress ye in like manner against him. Be that as it may fear Allah, and realize that Allah is with the individuals who control themselves." (Surah 2, Verse 194). 5. " ... also let not the disdain of some individuals in (once) closing you out of the Sacred Mosque lead you to transgression (and danger on your part). Help ye each other in exemplary nature and devotion, however help ye not each one in turn in sin and malevolence: dread Allah: for Allah is strict in discipline." (Surah 5, Verse 2). 6. "Nor can Goodness and Evil be equivalent. Repulse (Evil) with what is better: then will he between whom and thee was contempt gotten to be in a manner of speaking thy companion and cozy!" (Surah 41, Verse 34). 7. "O ye who accept! Emerge immovably for equity, as witnesses to Allah, even as against yourselves, or your folks, or your kinfolk, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for Allah can best ensure both. Take after not the desires (of your hearts), for fear that ye swerve, and if ye misshape (equity) or decay to do equity, verily Allah is overall familiar with all that ye do." (Surah 4, Verse 135) 8. "God supporters equity, philanthropy, and in regards to the relatives. Furthermore He denies underhandedness, bad habit, and transgression. He edifies you, that you may take regard." (Surah 16, Verse 90). 9. "And if ye do rebuff them, rebuff them no more regrettable than they rebuffed you: however in the event that ye show tolerance, which is in fact the best (course) for the individuals who are patient." (Surah 16, Verse 126). The initial three verses above teach Muslims to battle the individuals who battle them, and not to submit animosity to start with, as God does not like transgressors. They additionally train Muslims to quit battling the individuals who wish to stop battling them, and to acknowledge peace with the adversary who gets slanted towards peace. The fourth verse said above
  • 8. educates Muslims that on the off chance that somebody transgresses against them, they ought to react to them in like manner, and it reminds Muslims to fear God and to control themselves as far as possible. The fifth verse reminds Muslims not to let contempt of some individuals for past motivations to lead them to transgress against those individuals or be unfriendly towards them. It additionally teaches us to help one another in great and exemplary activities, and not to coordinate in hostility and sin, and it helps them at last to remember the strict discipline of God to urge them to comply with these standards. The sixth verse reminds us that integrity and malice are never equivalent, and that we ought to repulse underhanded with great movements. This implies that when somebody is uncalled for to us or confers malicious against us, we are swayed to react with kind and great movements, so the disdain between us and that individual will dissipate and will turn into a personal companionship! The seventh verse said reminds us to remain up for equity, regardless of the possibility that it is against ourselves or our family, and regardless of the fact that it is against the individuals who are rich or effective, on the grounds that equity applies to everybody. It additionally reminds us that God knows all that we do, thus in the event that we demonstration unfairly even in our hearts, God recognizes what we did and we will be responsible for that. The eighth verse briefs us that God charges us to take after equity, and that God denies us from submitting fiendishness, bad habit and transgression. The ninth and last verse reminds Muslims that in the event that they are rebuffed, that they might just react with the same discipline and not to head over this point of confinement. On the other hand, they are reminded that pardoning and tolerance is the best practice of life (Ahmad, n.d). These are the superb standards of Islam: · To seek after peace with everybody including past adversaries, aside from when they battle the Muslims and reject peace, then Muslims are permitted to battle in self-protection. · To guarantee that we generally apply equity and never
  • 9. transgress against others regardless of the fact that they are our foes. · To repulse fiendishness movements with great activities, to swap contempt with a close companionship. · To react to discipline with the same discipline, yet that absolution and tolerance is surprisingly better than revenge (Ahmad, 2008). The verse specified beneath educates us that we were made and made into different countries and tribes so we may get to know one another, and not so we may loathe and detest one another. At that point we are helped to remember the way that the best of us in God's eyes are the individuals who are generally honest. · "O humanity! We made you from a solitary (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into countries and tribes, that ye may know one another (not that ye may scorn one another). Verily the most respected of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most honest of you. What's more Allah has full Knowledge and is decently familiar (with all things)." (Surah 49, Verse 13). This radiant rule of Islam makes it clear that there is no a solitary individual, race, or country that is superior to what others. God made all of us equivalent. In God's eyes, the best of us are the most honest and generally kind. God made humanity as distinctive races and countries despite the fact that He could have made all of us with as one country, with one dialect and one religion. Nonetheless, as expressed in the verse said above, God made these diverse countries and tribes so we get to know other one another, and not to detest one another in light of the fact that we are distinctive. This lets us know that we ought to praise our disparities and not abhor one another focused around them. Islam likewise shows us to understand that no single race or individuals have matchless quality over others, and that we are judged singularly focused around our movements. This verse likewise shows us that we ought to live calmly with different countries and tribes and we ought to appreciation one another and our disparities. We ought to figure out how to live together
  • 10. and to get to know one another, and to take part in dialog around all countries and treat each individual as being equivalent (Ahmad, 2007). The verse from the Qur'an which states this rule of no impulse in religion is the accompanying: · "let there be no impulse in religion: Truth emerges clear from Error: whoever rejects Evil and has faith in Allah hath got a handle on the most reliable hand-hold that never breaks. What's more Allah heareth and knoweth all things." (Surah 2, Verse 256). The heavenly Qur'an reminds us that there must not be impulse in religion. It states that reality emerges clear from mistake, and that the individuals who reject lapse and put stock in God are the spared ones. This implies that Muslims are not permitted to drive individuals to change over to Islam. Muslims ought to just look to make reality clear to others, and converse with them about Islam, then let them choose for themselves. Truth be told, most individuals who study Islam without having settled on a choice to scorn it first come to cherish its message and proselyte to Islam in the wake of looking into its values and standards (Din, 2007). An alternate verse that likewise states this rule is the accompanying: · "If one around the Pagans approaches thee for shelter, stipend it to him, so he may hear the expressions of Allah; and afterward escort him to where he could be secure. That is on account of they are men without information." (Surah 9, Verse 6). This sublime verse teaches Muslims to give refuge to non- adherents, and make them safe, and permit them to hear the expressions of Allah. At that point they are to be escorted to whatever spot they will be sheltered and secure in. This is on the grounds that these non-adherents basically have no learning of Islam, and no information of the expressions of Allah. What a glorious religion Islam is! By what method can this be contrasted and the way that Christians spread their religion? They spread it by genocide, mass homicide, seizing of
  • 11. youngsters and wiping out of whole countries and developments! Solicit the locals from the Americas, Australia and Africa about it (Hasan, n.d). As expressed prior, Islam is an exceptionally down to earth religion. It is not pretty much fake standards that don't work. It is a religion that is intended to be actualized 100% in all activities of the Muslims life, and it is intended to advertise peace and equity on the planet. Hence, Islam does permit Muslims to go to war, as specified prior, in specific circumstances. This incorporates self-preservation, and to uproot hostility and shamefulness that has happened to individuals and to spare them from their oppressors. The verses that advise Muslims to battle the individuals who battle them were said prior (Omar, 2002). The following is the verse in the heavenly Qur'an that permits Muslims to battle against bad form. · "Permission [to fight] is conceded to the individuals who are continuously oppressed, since shamefulness has come to pass for them, and God is absolutely fit to help them [with victory]. They were ousted from their homes shamefully, for no reason other than saying, "Our Lord is God." If it were not for God's supporting of some individuals against others, religious communities, houses of worship, synagogues, and mosques - where the name of God is remembered every now and again - might have been annihilated. Completely, God backs the individuals who help Him. God is Powerful, Almighty." (Surah 22, Verses 39-40). This verse offers authorization to those Muslims who fall under onerous, treacherous guideline, and those Muslims who are constantly aggrieved to battle to evacuate this abuse. Indeed in times of war, the Muslim must regard his foe's mankind. Merciless and boorish outrages are denied in Islam. Islam censures uncouth slaughtering of any person. Along these lines, Islam does not allow the mutilation of the collections of the dead adversary warriors. Additionally, Islam disallows the focusing on and executing of all citizens, particularly ladies,
  • 12. kids, the elderly and religious ministry. Foes, even at time of war, must be dealt with evenhandedly. Detainees of war have fundamental human rights, as expressed in the Shariah (Islamic Law), and must be given and minded to and not embarrassed at all (Soliman, 2009). The accompanying verses touch on some of these issues: · "O Prophet! say to the individuals who are prisoners in your grasp: If Allah findeth any great in your hearts, He will provide for you an option that is superior to what has been taken from you, and He will forget you: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (Surah 8, Verse 70). · "And they nourish, for the love of Allah, the penniless, the vagrant, and the hostage, (Saying), we sustain you for the purpose of Allah alone: no prize do we fancy from you or much appreciated." (Surah 76, Verses 8-9). Furthermore, the accompanying were the guidelines of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) to Muslims who are compelled to battle a war: "Don't slaughter ladies or kids or non-soldiers and don't murder old individuals or religious individuals,'' and he said ministers, nuns and rabbis. What's more he said, "Don't chop down apples and oranges bearing trees and don't harm the wells of your adversaries." There are a lot of people more colloquialisms and teachings of Prophet Mohammad that train Muslims on these issues. Notwithstanding this, Islam restricts persecution, vengeance or shamefulness to the populace of the adversary if there should raise an occurrence of triumph against them. Nor should there be control over the wellsprings of the abundance of the country or individuals, or even stronghold of provincial administrations. Equity and flexibility must be made. Tolerance towards societies and people groups is to be regarded at all times (Walker, 2013). After evaluating the above facts, evidences, and related misconceptions about Islam and its peace concept, it can be concluded that all misconceptions such as Islam is a religion of violence, misogyny, and a host of other negative attributes are

Various matters fall into consideration when comparing prospective destinations. It is for this purpose that the travel guide comes along; to assist in factual comparisons between hotels and parks. My focus in this project proposal involves travelling and touring destination guides provision. It delves into changing unfavourable and expensive touring habits into the most suitable and inexpensive touring habits that would ensure that the person looking to travel arrives at the best decision in the shortest time possible. It’s a real city break, with leafy drives, wineries and plenty of farm-to-table foodie options that draw even spoiled- for-choice Manhattanites away from the city. · Cincinnati, Ohio - has a couple of bridges including John Roebling’s Suspension Bridge (a prequel to his famous Brooklyn Bridge). Narrow, twisting (and steep) brick roads of the Mt Adams district lead past 19th-century Victorian townhouses and the free Cincinnati Art Museum, while the once-dangerous, emerging Over-the-Rhine, and a sprawling collection of historic Italianate architecture. Best, though, is the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. · Four Corners Region, Southwest USA - the venue sits amidst southwest – Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah. This underappreciated region is a geologic, archeological wonderland. · Culebra, Puerto Rico - The island is rimmed with great beaches, but the best – and still a secret to most visitors – is the world-class Playa Flamenco · California Gold Country - it is an hour closer to San Francisco (and cheaper and less crowded) within Gold Country · Boulder, Colorado · Hawai’i: The Big Island - holds a wide variety of attractions: Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park, Kealakekua Bay snorkeling, hikes into caves and waterfalls along the lava field at Hilina Pai, or just bumming on the island’s best beach at Hapuna.

Is Islam A Peaceful Religion? This interview paper is about the subject “Is Islam A Peaceful Religion?” According to my opinion there are lots of things are unfamiliar to the world about the religion of Islam. Because of this throughout the world it is commonly asserted that Islam is a religion of violence, misogyny, and a host of other negative attributes. However, to know what the exact truth is, I've interviewed a well-known Indian Muslim scholar, Dr. Zakir Naik via Skype. In that interview he thoroughly answered to my all questions about peace in the religion of Islam. In the beginning of interview, I asked him to define what peace is for the Islam. Giving the definition of peace for the religion of Islam, Dr. Zakir Naik said, “Islam as a religion is simple and balanced. In the Islam all the area of human life is pre-defined. It is called as a peaceful religion because it gives clarity in reward and punishment in the act of the people.” In the next question that how can Islam be called the religion of peace when it was spread by the sword, Dr. Zakir Naik described that it is misconception that Islam was spread by the sword. He said, “Islam would not have millions of adherents all over the world, if it had not been spread by the use of force. Islam means peace, and as religion of peace sometimes force
  • 19. has to be used to maintain peace. It is precisely for this reason that we have the police who use force against criminals and antisocial elements to maintain peace in the country. Islam promotes peace. At the same time, Islam exhorts it followers to fight where there is oppression. The fight against oppression may, at times, require the use of force. In Islam force can only be used to promote peace and justice.” Answering the question regarding how much acceptance of other religions and people with different faith have found in Islam, he says, “acceptance of other religions and people with different faith have found in Islam because in the Qur'an it is clear that there must be "no compulsion in religion." Yet Muslims are not pluralistic in their worldview - they consider their religion to the true religion and invite people of all races, nationalities and religions to be part of it. In fact, the Qur'an explains that the religion of the Jews and Christians is the same as that revealed to Muhammad, and Allah is God of them all. Moreover he quoted Quranic verse 6:154-56 and said, "The Book was sent down to two People before us, and for our part, we remained unacquainted with all that they learned by assiduous study." Explaining the misconception about Islam and terrorism, Dr. Zakir Naik says, “the word terrorism came into wide usage only a few decades ago and unfortunate it’s highly have related to the Muslims. Islam is strongly forbid the killing of innocent people and spreading terrorism. Islam itself meaning of peace and this is only a religion which says, “Killing one innocent man is the killing of all humanity."” Regarding answer of suicide attack question to kill the people, Dr. Zakir Naik answers, “Islam considers all life forms as sacred. However, the sanctity of human life is accorded a special place. The first and the foremost basic right of a human being is the right to live." The Glorious Quran says; "take not life, which God hath made sacred, except by way of justice and law: thus doth He command you, that ye may learn wisdom." The Quran prohibits homicide in clear terms. The taking of a
  • 20. criminal’s life by the state in order to administer justice is required to uphold the rule of law, and the peace and security of the society. Only a proper and competent court can decide whether an individual has forfeited his right to life by disregarding the right to life and peace of other human beings. Dr. Zakir Naik also explains the term of jihad and its logic related with peace. He says, “Jihad means strive. It is an effort to practice religion in the face of oppression and persecution. The effort may come in fighting the evil in your own heart, or in standing up to a dictator. The role of Jihad to make peace in a society is to give permission of fighting in self-defense, in defense of religion, or on the part of those who have been expelled forcibly from their homes. It lays down strict rules of combat, which include prohibitions against harming civilians and against destroying crops, trees and livestock." Regarding human rights question in Islam for making the peace in a society, Dr. Zakir Naik told me that he responded, “the attitude of Islam about human rights to make a peaceful society is to teach people how to think, live and promote peace. Islam has supported values and structures which are incompatible with the assumptions which cause the collective declaration of Human Rights. Muslim women are subjugated because; according to Qur’an, “Men have authority over women because God has made the one superior to the other, and because men spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient. They guard their unseen parts because God has guarded them. As for those among you who fear disobedience, admonish them and send them to beds apart and beat them.” Answering question about what does Islam say to convert one from other religion into this religion forcefully, Dr. Zakir Naik says, “Islam is totally against the forceful conversion. Muslims are commanded to fight unbelievers until they say they believe in Allah (or pay the Jizya), but there seems to be an underlying understanding that belief itself can't be forced. Nevertheless, once a subjugated individual outwardly converts to Islam under the strain of taxes and discrimination, they are not allowed to
  • 21. recant upon penalty of death. Their children must also be raised Muslim.” In response of the question that when all the Muslim follow one and the same Qur’an then why is there so many sects and different schools of thoughts among Muslims, Dr. Zakir Naik describes, “The tragedy is that such divisions are not endorsed by Islam at all. Islam believes in development unity amongst its followers. The Glorious Qur’an says: "And hold fast, All together, by the rope Which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves." {Al-Qur’an 3:103} Allah (SWT) says that one should disassociate oneself from those who divide their religion and break it up into sects. The Glorious Qur’an says: "As for those who divide their religion and break up into sects, thou hast no part in them in the least: Their affair is with Allah: He will in the end Tell them the truth Of all that they did." In the last question that all religions basically teach followers to do good deeds, so why should a person only follow Islam than other religion, Dr. Zakir Naik defens as, “All religions basically exhort mankind to be righteous and eschew evil. But Islam goes beyond that. It guides us towards practical ways of achieving righteousness and eliminating evil from our individual and collective lives. Islam takes into account human nature and the complexities of human society. Islam is guidance from the Creator Himself. Therefore, Islam is also called the natural religion of Man."
