This document discusses how various human industrial activities and technologies can negatively impact plant life. Power plants, factories, railroads, vehicles, and other modern conveniences all contribute to issues like land disturbance, reduced growth, acid rain, deforestation, and electromagnetic field and heavy metal pollution that can damage plants' cellular functions and biodiversity. New biotechnologies also carry risks of contaminating wild crops with inserted genes.
