The Center for Thematic Environmental Networks (TEN) is a Center for education and research in the fields of environment and sustainable development.
TEN Center promotes the exchange of knowledge and information on the environmental field and offers tools and supplementary approaches in order to solve environmental issues with specific reference to sustainable development.
TEN Center:
promotes education and advanced training programs on sustainable development and environmental management;
develops research activities on the main areas of environmental protection, with specific focus on developing countries;
hosts initiatives which provide a meeting platform for the competent authorities, researchers and those who are involved in environmental and sustainable development issues.
Since 2003, TEN manages and coordinates advanced training programs devised for director generals and managers of public administrations, researchers and private sector experts from the People’s Republic of China and Eastern European countries. The aim is to augment and improve the capabilities of policy-makers and to facilitate knowledge transfer in order to promote sustainable environmental, social and economic policies.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

1. In this paper we want to show one of the most serious problems in France causes 42000
premature deaths per year due to environmental pollution.
More than 42000 premature deaths occur each year in France as a result of pollution based fine
particles, according to a study by the world health organization (who), shows that pollution is
almost invisible, generated by vehicles, industry, agriculture and heating appliances, can cause
allergies, respiratory and cardiovascular problems, and increase the risk of cancer.
Air pollution would cost more than 100000 million euros annually to France, as assessed by an
investigative committee of the French senate, that fine particles smoke or ozone peaks has an
impact about 4000 million euros on agricultural yields, biodiversity, soil quality or architectural
heritage, which needs frequent restorations.
In the case of agriculture, it is estimated that crops I the Paris region have been in the last 15 years
10% lower than those that would have been obtained in a situation without this type of pollution.
That is why, we believe that one of the possible solutions to this environmental problem is: to
implement a system to measure the levels of pollution caused by vehicles, and create some kind of
device to render harmless the toxins this would reduce pollution to because of the vehicles, but
the French population should start to use other means of transportation such as bicycles to help
reducing the toxins found in the air.
Moreover, the French authorities decided to ban cutlery and plastic to reduce the ecological
problem, the ban was proposed initially by the European party ecology greens and adopted by
French lawmakers with the aim of reducing energy consumption and waste od the processing
plastics industry, in addition to the pollution caused by discarded plastics.
We could conclude that the reduction of garbage from homes can generate a big change, stop the
use of plastic bottles and other artifacts that after some use become trash, it can make our planet
a different world, back to use means of transport that do not pollute will give our generations a
better quality of life.
