both in the local and international market. With the evolving
needs of today’s consumers, many entrepreneurs are

Techniques.
 Woodcraft and bamboo craft can be enhanced using a variety
of methods and techniques. These includes.

● is a process of using a lathe to make various forms and
shapes of wood.

• Is considered a woodcraft using a sharp object to create
designs on the wood. Various textures and surfaces can be
created using this technique. Tools such as chip carving knife,
gauges and chisels are used.

7. 3. Pyrography
• is considered an art using fire or heat to decorate wood or
leather.

• Is a technique lines the interior of drawers and boxes with soft
velvety finish.

• Combines several techniques that involves inserting pieces

materials.

● Adding media such as metal paints, copic markers and
antiquing kits that give color to the metal product. Metal paints
may be used with brush or spray. Copic markers are usually
used by airbrush system that can be refilled. Meanwhile,
antiquing kits are also known as rust and/or patina kits that are
available in craft stores. It creates a “rust” design on your
product.

● Though it is not an easy technique, there are two ways to do it.
The first uses a transfer medium called Omni gel and the
other uses a waterslide decal. With this technique, images
are transferred on the metal clearly.

● In this technique, you will need hammers, metal stamps,
stencil and other materials to create imprints on the metal.
Though there are new technologies used to emboss a metal
with different textures, hammer and nail can still be used to
create your own design.
