Editor's Notes
Good afternoon class! Today, we will be discussing about enhancing and decorating finished products. So, please settle down and keep your focus in our today’s lesson.
So, after we discuss this topic, you are expected to learn the following.
Before we proceed with our main topic for today, let us have a recap our previous discussion. (Reads question and asks somebody from the class). Very good. Now let us proceed to our new topic.
We have here a picture of three different wooden mugs. Now, I would like to know which one do you like the most. I will identify the mug by it’s corresponding letter and those who like it have to raise their hand, understood? Ok, who wants Mug A? Mug B? Mug C? (pause) It seems that most of the class like either letter B or C. Who choose B? Why did you choose it? (pause). Yes, it has more appeal. Another answer? (pause). Ok, great. Today we will learn how to make ordinary products into appealing, beautiful and lovable products using different items and techniques. Are you ready? (pause) Lets proceed!
So what does enhancing and decorating means? Who has an idea? (pause) Very good! (click and reads the slide) Is there any question so far? (pause). If there is none, let us proceed.
So, why is it important to enhance or decorate finished products? Does anyone have an idea? (Asks somebody from the class.) Yes, all of your answers are correct. To summarize all of that, these are the major reasons why. (Clicks slide and reads slide content)
We will now proceed with the methods of product enhancement and decoration. (Reads first item.) Now, who can read the next method? (pause). Thank you very much.
Next, we also have (reads each item)…
Ok, John will read the first one and Maria will read the second one. (pause). Thank you John and Maria.
Who can help me present the next one? (pause) Ok, Grace will do the first one and Anthony will be for the second one. (pause). Great, thank you!
Now, next would be….(read each item)
(After reading last method) So that’s all the methods we can use in order to enhance our products. As you have learned, some methods are simple yet some are complex. It is important that you should have all the right tools and materials if you intend to try these methods. But always remember that before you attempt doing such enhancements, you should seek supervision and always prioritize safety.
Everybody, get a one fourth sheet of paper. Identify what is the method for each number using the jumbled word and picture as a hint. You will be given 5 minutes. Go! (pause). Here are the answers. (click). Now, who got all the correct answers? (pause). Very good!
We will now proceed with the types of finishing materials used on our products. Carlo please read the first one. (pause) Very good! Now, Diana will present us the next type of finishing material, Diana? (pause). Great. Thank you!
Then we have….(Reads each item)
Ok Mark, what is next? (pause). Nice! How about the other one, Jose? (pause). Marvelous!
(Reads the last item) That’s it. Now that we have already discussed the finishing materials used to enhance our products, we will be having an activity. (next slide)
Ok. Group yourselves into 3 groups. Group 1 will be the first row, second row will be group 2 and third row will be group 3. Then, on a sheet of Manila paper, construct a paragraph based on the topics assigned to each group. You can see the topic in the visual aid in front. Each group will have 15 minutes to finish the task. A representative will report your output in front. So, you may now begin. (After each group reports) There ends our lesson for today. I hope ,that you have learned something in our todays lesson.
