When we talk about the latest technology, Blockchain instantly comes into our minds. So, if you want to know more about this technology and how it is useful to the development of mobile applications, then it would be worthy to dig deeper into this ppt because it will help you to give brief knowledge about Blockchain technology.
Blockchain is in our hands. Popular today, but also looked at as the future. A job in blockchain may be lucrative. Businesses are using blockchain experts to assist save expenses. New companies outside of main industries are exploring Blockchain. Let's see how we'll use Blockchain technology here.
This provides a deep intro to the blockchain technology, and explores several use-cases within healthcare where it could lead to disruption and add value
A.Schumacher (2017) Blockchain & Healthcare: A Strategy GuideGalen Growth
The healthcare industry needs a revolution – and it is here now. Trusted and open R&D processes, auditable & secure transactions between parties, authenticated by mass collaboration and powered by collective self-interest, rather than by fewer and fewer pharmaceutical giants motivated by profit alone. This healthcare ecosystem is immune to exorbitant drug prices, tampering, fraud, or political control. The name of the technology that makes all this happen is blockchain, a tool that will fundamentally change the healthcare sector. Blockchain will prove to be indispensable in building a global precision-medicine ecosystem that optimally connects patients, clinicians, researchers, insurers and clinical laboratories to one another.
The use cases for blockchain in healthcare will start in small projects that reduce duplicative work but can eventually shift to a system where patients control access rights to their data.
Healthcare Blockchain Summit, Washington DC Mar 21, 2017Edward Bukstel
There is much talk of how Blockchain will revolutionize healthcare. This hype must be tempered by the fact that healthcare already has a trust factor built-in, or patients would not take pills prescribed by doctors, or let providers stick needles in their bodies. It is often said that “Riches are in Niches,” and this is the case for blockchain and areas that are tangential to the direct care of the patient. As referenced in the 2015 ONC Interoperability Roadmap, Social Determinants of Health (SDoH) will need to be connected to the patients’ health status. Physicians currently monitor carboxyhemoglobin as an indicator of a patient’s level of smoking. As part of a smoking cessation program, a smart contract on the clinical Blockchain could identify normal blood carboxyhemoglobin (COhb) as reported by a clinical reference lab from the Laboratory Analyzer Blockchain and execute a request to increase an incentive benefit controlled by a “private / permissioned” USDA Clinical Blockchain. The clinical Blockchain will track the specific “chain of custody” from iStat Analyzer (Accriva, Radiometer, etc…) to the patient test results report, which triggers the smart contract with the USDA to distribute an incentive. Both the physician and the patient are notified of the disbursement. Similar use cases could be implemented for patients with diabetes, and obesity, helping people live healthy lives.

Blockchain is an immutable ledger that facilitates the process of recording transactions. Once a transaction is entered into the blockchain, then it cant be deleted. Blockchain can track orders, payments and production, and much more. It is a typical database in that you can store information in blockchain information id store in blocks and then chained together. So it is difficult for hackers to hack data from the blockchain. That’s why companies are adopting blockchain in their business process.
Even the biggest jumbos in banking sector have started testing and finding out the best use cases of this blockchain technology . Other than that many banking organizations started investing huge amount for R and D process for blockchain based solutions to solve their issues .

"Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.
Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.
PHP Frameworks: I want to break free (IPC Berlin 2024)Ralf Eggert
In this presentation, we examine the challenges and limitations of relying too heavily on PHP frameworks in web development. We discuss the history of PHP and its frameworks to understand how this dependence has evolved. The focus will be on providing concrete tips and strategies to reduce reliance on these frameworks, based on real-world examples and practical considerations. The goal is to equip developers with the skills and knowledge to create more flexible and future-proof web applications. 11. Blockchains gain value as they
are shared.
Organisations or companies
participate even competitors the
more streamlined the process will
be and the greater the value.
Blockchain Shared
12. The more replicas there are, the
more authentic the ledger
becomes.
Blockchain Distributed
13. Pros:-
Dissemination:- The core value of a blockchain is that it
enables a database to be directly shared without a central
administrator.
Empowered:- Users are in control of all their information
and transaction.
High quality data:- Blockchain data is complete,
consistent, timely, accurate and widely available.
Blockchain Pros and cons
14. Durability, reliability & longevity:- Blockchain does not
have a central point of failure and is better able to withstand
malocious attacks.
Process Integrity:- The protocol commands removing the
need for a trusted third party.
Transparency & Immutability:- Transparency and all
transaction are immutable, meaning they cannot be altered
or deleted.
Pros:-
Blockchain Pros
15. Cons:-
Nascent Technology:- Resolving challenges such as
transaction speed, the verification process and data limit will
be crucial in making blockchain widely applicable.
Uncertain Regulatory Status:- Blockchain & Bitcoin face a
hurdle in widespread adoption by pre-existing financial
instittions of its government regulatiion status remains
unsettled.
Blockchain Cons
16. Cons:-
Large Energy Consumption:- Blockchain network’s miners
are attempting 450 thousand trillion solution persecond in
efforts to validate transaction.
Control, Security & Privacy:- The general public will
entrust their personal data to a blockchain solution.
Cost:- Blockchain offers tremendous savings in
transaction costs and time but the high initial capital costos
could be a deterrent.
Blockchain Cons
