Promotional codes printed on products can engage customers and provide brands with valuable consumer behavior insights. They work by encouraging customers to enter unique codes online for deals, competitions, or other engagement. This drives brand loyalty while also allowing brands to better understand customers. Implementing promotional codes requires balancing the needs of various stakeholders and coordinating hardware, software, production, and marketing to ensure campaign success.
This document summarizes a research study exploring how phosphorylation affects the organization of keratin 14 filaments during cell cycle progression. The researchers hypothesized that constant phosphorylation (phospho-mimic) or dephosphorylation (phospho-null) of keratin 14 would disrupt normal cell division. They used site-directed mutagenesis to create phospho-mimic and phospho-null mutants of keratin 14, then analyzed cell phenotype after transfection. Preliminary results showed the phospho-null S33A mutant had more keratin bridges than wild type, suggesting phosphorylation at this site affects filament reorganization during cell division.

middle school kids to co-develop 21st Century robotic kits with language-
neutral learning aides. We will immerse into our community over six
weeks to develop engineering skills while providing inspiration and
resources that could increase the 65% high school graduation rate and
address the 80% poverty rate in San Diego’s most ethnically diverse
neighborhood. Our vision is to begin the process of developing 21st
Century STEM kits and learning aides valuable enough for any school yet
affordable enough for every school in an effort to foster Peace & Justice
through equitable education.
2. USD is a Roman Catholic University charted in 1949.
USD’s Mission & Values include academic excellence
to serve local and international communities,
compassionate service, global competency, and
fostering Peace & Justice. SMSE is a school formed in
2013 but with roots as a department in USD with
national recognition. SMSE has a goal to become
the world’s leading engineering program by
engaging in an authentic engineering education
including compassionate service and multi-
disciplinary collaboration. Learning objectives of the
freshmen-level, Engineering 101 class include
developing teamwork skills, using iteration in a
design process, and expressing designs in multiple
formats to a diverse audience.
OLSH the 2nd oldest Catholic School in SD, formed in
City Heights in 1924. Demographics changed and
City Heights became the most ethnically diverse
neighborhood in San Diego, with >50 languages
spoken, the highest crime rate in SD, and a median
household income of under $20,000. OLSH
continues to serve as a K-8 Title 1 school with 80%
of families below poverty line, ~12 languages
spoken with only 5% speaking English at home. The
high school graduation rate is 65%. OLSH has
motivated kids and a dedicated staff but limited
resources and declining revenue. Despite these
challenges, the staff has created a nurturing
