Sandeba is an orphanage in Burkina Faso led by Pastor Idressa that houses 75 children aged 0-16. It was founded in the 1980s and relies on donations for basic necessities as government assistance is minimal. Dedicated staff live on site 24/7, often without pay. The project aims to help the orphanage become self-sufficient through a European organization taking small, consistent steps like improving agriculture to generate income and nutrition for the children. Statistical data will be collected on diseases and mortality rates to measure impact and provide evidence for alternative development opportunities in one of the poorest countries.
