Dear Sirs/Madam,
An Earnest Appeal Seeking Your Support
Warm Greetings from Sneha Charitable Trust
Sneha Charitable Trust is a registered NGO, which provides Education/palliative care for people
(childrenandadults) livingwithHIV/AIDS(PLHIV). Started in 1997/2008, in Bengaluru, we have now
over 450 patients under our constant care (80% under 15 yrs). They have been abandoned by their
families/Single Parentfamily. The demandtotake care of PLHIVS increased tremendously over the
years and SNEHA CHARITABLE TRUST setup centers in T.N. A.P., and Kerala.
Since 2012, the Government stopped funds to HIV infected people, with the aim to create a
perceptionthatIndiais HIV/AIDS free country. It is only a fact of matter that HIV/AIDS still remains
to be completely eradicated either as a social stigma or clinically.
SnehaCharitable Centre hastreatedover 10,000 adults, giving in patient care at its various centers,
apart fromthe over9500 out patients.Asaninstitution,we were treatedasamodel HIV care centre
and trainingprovider(1997-2012) by Karnataka State AidsControl Society(KSACS) andNational Aids
control Society (NACS).
We face several survival challenges:
- Minimal funds in the absence of Govt. support to run day to day operations
- Immediate demand to scale up infrastructure and support as children needing
this palliative care is on the increase
- Existing HOSPICE infrastructure (17 yrs +) needs urgent attention
- Increase in the number of people being denied care for want of facilities/funds.
In the lightof these grave situationsfacedbyPLHIV,we appeal toyourorganization/compassionate
heart to provide us assistance either through educational or medical support to our HIV/AIDS
infected kids. You can also partner with us to run Medical Camps, Support groups, volunteer led
activities, Food Drive, Rainbow Camps or provide us financial support to run our day to day
activities. We have meagrelysurvived with individual contributions and by starting a couple of self
help groups (SHG’s).
We extendtoyou a personal invitation to visit our centers and have a clear insight on the work we
do and how you could support us through your company’s CSR activities. You could also log on to
our websites www.snehacharitabletrust.org / www.camilliantaskforce.org /
www.snehacarehome.org for further details.
We will onlybe delighted to welcome you and show you the institution and its activities. Do let us
know how; we could proceed further with reference to the above.
Look forward to your positive and kind reply.
Best Regards & Prayers
