Aiding Sangita Orphanage Ashlee Kildiszew Marco Meza-Ruiz DP Bullington Sadie Sutphin Danielle Calder
Our inspiration... http://sangitacharitabletrust.com/     Currently this orphanage is the home for 100 Dalit children in Chennai city, India.
FREE THE DALITS CASTE SYSTEM:
The children at Sangita are from very tormented, traumatic backgrounds. They are either orphaned, destitute or abandoned due to many of the prevailing social evils and they become victims through no fault of theirs. Most of the children are from very poor backgrounds, children of leprosy patients, beggars, criminals and destitute women. These children come to the orphange in a very undernourished, unhealthy sick condition and it takes around 3 months to bring them back to a certain level of health.
Yogurt Shack Fundraiser To promote community involvement in the advocacy of   Dalit freedom, we took advantage of the opportunity to  fundraise at Ashlee's workplace, Yogurt Shack. This was another opportunity to share our knowledge of the situation while  collecting donations.
Tooth Brush Drive In order to spread information we have learned through individual research, we set up small toothbrush drives among local elementary schools. This not only informs the community of the Dalit situation, but also promotes contribution to the cause.
Manhunt: A Story of Life, Love, and Loss

And the love child begins to show potential...
The beginnings of a slow and painful death...
-Trials and tribulations with Mark (a.k.a. "The Antichrist") Van Over

Although small, we hope that these acts of compassion will create a ripple effect throughout India and promote a new generation, a generation advocating equality and freedom for the Dalit.
