The Department of Automatics and Remote Control at Vyatka State University started research in 2012 on peer-to-peer networks for multimedia broadcasting. The research aims to develop a hybrid peer-to-peer network with latency rankings to improve access to broadband multimedia data. Existing peer-to-peer networks have limitations and do not provide interactive live delivery of multimedia content.
