This document provides statistics on energy use in the EU in 2007, including: - Total primary energy production in the EU was over 1,000,000 thousand tonnes of oil equivalent. - The largest sources of primary energy production in the EU were solid fuels, oil, and gas. - The EU's energy dependency rate was over 50%, indicating it imported over half of its energy needs. - Electricity generation in the EU totaled over 3,000 terawatt hours, with the largest sources being nuclear, solid fuels, and gas.
