This document summarizes Preston Liew's site visit to Riverstone Eco Resort for an ENBE project. It includes details about the location of the resort, measurements of Preston's assigned site including a 10m x 10m pond, sketches of the site plan and section. Preston observed tadpoles, fish and one frog at the site. He studied the dragonfly as his insect, sketching its wings, and the sugar palm as his plant, documenting its features. Preston described using his 5 senses at the site and noticing the pond's ecosystem. Photos showed the dorm conditions and surroundings. Timetables outlined the visit schedule.

5. Measuring site
My group mate Alisha was in charged of measuring the depth of the pond and the
legth and width of the site. Surprisingly, the pond was exactly 10m x 10m. It fits the
requirements of the brief.

14. My plant – Sugar Palm
• Also known as Pokok Kabung
• It is a large palm with single, thick, black
hairy fibrous trunk and a crown consisting
of 15 to 20 huge leaves
• Fruits can only be harvested during Hari
Raya
• Grows on land
• Fruits can be found in ABCs (ice kacang)
• A type of palm tree
• Leaf sheath can be used to make durable
rope that is fire and sea water resistant
• It’s roots can be boiled to sooth toothache

Smell – The pond gives quite an odd scent. It’s as if someone forgot to

Taste - Meals provided by the resort was okay, 5/10. I have also tasted the
water from the pond. It’s tasteless but stagnant.

Feel – My site is quite a hot location. And there was no shades other than
being on the hut. But I used a fan to keep myself cool.
