Health and safety
• Definition- comply with requirements for safe
equipment. For training staff must train to be
able to use the equipment to the safety risks
• Example- if there stunt, then this will need
health and safety regulation on it and trained
professionals can only carry out these tasks for
them to be safe.
Equal Opportunities
• Definition- the legislation is a body of law which
state that the employer can not be biased based
on there age, gender, disability or religion
• Example- racial discrimination by tesco and most
supermarkets now have to employ a certain
amount of religious and disabled people
Employment Equality Regulations
• Definition – Prohibits employers
discrimination against the applicants age and
can not change there view because of it.
• Examples – retirement age is 65 ans they have
a minimum of 13 years part time work and a
minimum wage of £3.72 an hour
Employment liability
• Definition- insurance employer should take
out which they have to so incase an employee
get injury in the work area.
• Examples- if an employee gets an illness,
injury or death caused by work or the
workplace.
Trade union
• Definition- this is an organized association
formed to protect the rights and interest of
tradesmen and is a group of different type of
trades
• Example – tube workers don’t feel they are
getting paid enough, they would go on strike
though the trade union to get something done
about it

• Definition – all right allowing fair workplace
contracts and working condition, which every
living person who works is entitled to
• Example- wage, breaks, and leave must all be
allowed if working or is taking the right of the
people away
