Charles Tyrwhitt is a true multi-channel retailer operating web, mail order and 22 stores across three countries and
delivering to over fifty countries.
September 2013 to present: Junior Branch Merchandiser
Reporting to the head of Merchandising and managing two junior team members I control day to day merchandise
operations of both the UK and international retail channels of the company, circa £39m per annum as part of an overall
turnover now in excess of £200m.
Solely responsible for trading, managing intake/OTB/terminal stock for US division of CT stores including
margin forecasting & terminal stock exit routes.
Working closely with Core Buyers, Merchandisers and directly with suppliers to ensure quantities, deliveries,
phasing and critical paths tie in with store range, promotions, product change, demand and space
Exclusively accountable for orders sent directly to US stores from supplier and UK distribution centre including
supplier liaison for merchandising, couriers & forwarders regarding paperwork, freight costs and compliance
with US regulations
Played a key role in the opening of a US distribution centre, working closely with Systems, Operational Team &

Supporting the Merchandise Manager in the creation of a range of initiatives to drive improved store and franchise
performance along with the day to day management.
Sole responsibility for the NRRP through liaison with stores and the wholesale division to manage stock returns
Monitoring and managing store stock levels to prevent under and over stock situations on a store by store basis

I take a keen interest in two areas; fashion, where I like to keep abreast of changes within the industry including
continually designing pieces for my personal portfolio which recently included designing and making the wedding
dress and bridesmaid’s dresses for a friend’s wedding.
In addition to this I enjoy reading, ensuring I am familiar with forthcoming trends and like to keep fit through
running and visiting the gym.
