To whom it may concern:
Please accept this letter of recommendation for Emily Itskovitch, a student employee for the
Center for Student Involvement (CSI) at Ramapo College. Since she joined the staff as a graphic designer
with the CSI Design unit in the office in January 2015 I have served as her direct supervisor and am
excited to provide this reference on her behalf.
From a design standpoint, I have been very happy with the results of Emily’s work. While the
designs themselves are strong, I believe more important is the rapport she builds with each client
(student leaders, other offices on campus) in order to produce a design which meets the needs and
wants of the client while simultaneously being visually appealing and eye catching for those seeing the
design around campus and on social media.
In her role, Emily works in the office an average of four days per week and is always on time.
She communicates in a timely and effective manner if she is requesting any schedule adjustments and I
know that if she is scheduled to be in the office, when I go to talk to her about a project she will be
there. Emily’s strong communication is both in person and through our electronic project management
system. Although much of Emily’s work is independent, she works as part of a team of 5 designers and
at times needs to pick up a design someone else started or hand off her design to another designer and
this transition is seamless. She supports other designers, offering suggestions in a positive way and
utilizes feedback from her colleagues effectively.
In addition to being a strong member of the CSI Design team, Emily is an outstanding student
with a 3.77 overall GPA. Her ability to excel in the classroom and on the staff is an impressive
combination.
