Dear Colleague,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the FPSO Europe Congress taking place
February 14-16, 2017 at the ILEC Conference Centre in London. Now in its
third year, the FPSO Europe Congress is the largest forum for European
oil companies to engage with the FPSO community of vessel contractors,
investors and solutions providers; gain critical market intelligence; and
engage with each other in solution-oriented discussion.
The FPSO industry has been evolving to adapt to the market climate over
the past few years. With this new-found awareness across the FPSO value
chain of how cooperation and project delivery must change, comes an
unprecedented opportunity to improve the processes and standards of the
industry for long-term sustainability and growth.
This year’s Congress builds on these themes, lending a particular focus to
FPSO Value Improvement and Operational Excellence. We will take an in-
depth look at case studies and technologies that have helped enhance the
value and productivity of existing FPSOs, and continue strategic discussions
surrounding greater value opportunity and collaboration. Discussions will
also address the important topic of FPSO redeployment, an increasingly
valid option for new projects in conceptualisation today.
Just as the FPSO industry is evolving, so has the Congress. For 2017, we
bring you more interactivity than ever, with live polling in each session and
interactive working groups throughout the two-day conference, ensuring
fewer powerpoints and more demonstrations, dialogue and debate.
In addition to key FPSO contractor speakers from SBM Offshore, MODEC,
Teekay Offshore and Bumi Armada, we are pleased to welcome new senior
oil company perspectives from BP, Premier Oil, Kosmos Energy and more,
as well as regulatory insight from the UK HSE. Recognising the importance
of key solution providers in industry dialogue, we are also bringing
classification and technology leaders such as Lloyd’s Register and Kongsberg
into the conversation to ensure a well-rounded, insightful discussion across
the FPSO value chain. You will also have the opportunity to engage with new
technologies and solutions in our dedicated Innovation Think Tank.
The FPSO Europe Congress was proud to welcome over 240 delegates in
2016, a growth of 33% from 2015 despite the low oil price environment, a
clear demonstration of the industry’s need for dialogue now more than ever.
I look forward to furthering these discussions with senior decision-makers
like yourself from oil companies, FPSO contractors and other stakeholders
over the course of the FPSO Europe Congress 2017.

FPSO Redeployment
Masterclass: Delivering a
Robust and Cost-Effective
FPSO Redeployment
Redeployment has become arguably the most viable
option for an FPSO project in the current market climate,
offering significantly lower costs, shorter project schedule
and quicker time to production than a conversion or new
build.
That said, relocating an operational vessel must be
approached with a careful commercial and technical eye.

opportunities to successful FPSO redeployment and how
to develop a strategy that can deliver an economically
sound field development with a redeployed FPSO.
Commercial Considerations, including:
n Evaluating the bankability and contractual terms of an
FPSO redeployment and calculating residual value
n Balancing oil companies’ and FPSO contractors’
expectations to develop a win-win plan for the field
development
n Understanding the regulatory compliance requirements
of the new operating area
Technical Considerations, including:
n Assessing vessel condition: maintenance, refurbishment
and life extension works needed
n Ensuring technical compatibility: do the hull,
mooring system and topsides align with the reservoir
requirements of the new field?

Projects
The current low oil price and capital constraints are
forcing companies to enter into complex joint-venture
arrangements in order to get the go-ahead for the
limited number of new capital projects being sanctioned.
This makes stakeholder engagement, decision making
and change management very difficult. It is no longer
possible to sustain the cost and schedule overruns faced
by such projects when the oil price was high. This session
will demonstrate how to deliver the necessary controls
and efficiencies to avoid such overruns on FPSO projects.

11. WHY PARTNER
WITH US?
Position Yourself in front of
Europe's FPSO Leaders
With the evolution of the FPSO industry over
the past few years, oil companies and FPSO
contractors understand the importance
of partnerships and collaboration with
subcontractors and solution providers in
order to deliver the process enhancement
and CAPEX and OPEX reductions necessary
to make projects viable.
We know budgets are tight, and it’s
imperative that every marketing dollar you
spend provides the most ROI. Whether it’s
demonstrating thought leadership as a
speaker; bringing your innovative solutions
to life in our exhibition hall; or ensuring that
your target audience knows you as THE
preferred partner through branding, we
can create the ideal platform to meet your
objectives at the FPSO Europe Congress.
Position your cost-effective, innovative
solution in front of active project
owners and decision makers through
our plenary speaking sessions and
working group discussions.
Take up an exhibition booth to display
your solutions, and more importantly,
have a focal point from which to network
and interact with your target audience.
We encourage you to get creative!
DISPLAY
THOUGHT
LEADERSHIP
Bring your solution to life in our newly extended demonstration
showcase, the Innovation Think Tank taking place in the
Technology Hall! Get as creative as you’d like with videos,
equipment demonstrations and hands-on interactions. Don’t
forget to take up a page in our Demo Catalogue to entice
potential clients to your booth and demonstration.
Remain front-of-mind for your
target audience by sponsoring
our delegate bags, lanyards, pens,
notepads, registration booth and
collaterals.
