- ‘OER15 Conference 14th & 15th April 2015 The OER Wales Cymru project hosted the OER15 Conference ‘Mainstreaming Open Education’ at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama on the 14th and 15th of April. The conference took place over two days with significant online activity (the conference trended on Twitter on both days) as well as a wide range of face to face sessions presented by OER practitioners and researchers from across the world. Chaired by Haydn Blackey (Director of CELT University of South Wales) and Professor Martin Weller (Institute of Educational Technology) the conference was opened by Professor John Gratton (PVC Aberystwyth University) on behalf of Universities Wales. Keynote speakers at the conference included Dr Cable Green (Director of Global Learning for Creative Commons) Josie Fraser (Social & Educational Technologist Leicester City Council), and Sheila Macneill (Senior Lecturer Blended Learning - Glasgow Caledonian University). The conference was well attended with over 150 delegates in attendance. Initial feedback was very positive in relation to overall impression of the conference. Over 8000# Tweets !
