9. Drama is meant to be staged
not read, it does not
generally need a narrator to
tell the story.

the unfolding of scenes
between characters on the
stage.

11. This change is felt largely in
the element of point of view
which in fiction relates to the
narrator of the story.

12. Absence of an explicit
narrator does not mean that
the element of point of view
does not figure in drama.

experience of the events of
the drama is being followed

view of Oedipus. In this
instance, Oedipus is the point of

of fiction.

19. Drama rarely employs a narrator,
the work of narration and

characters.

20. Dialogue in drama does
not resemble dialogue in
fiction, where it can be
deliberately oblique.
